1.    "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged.     Judge not, that ye be not judged.     μη κρινετε ινα μη κριθητε     `Judge not, that ye may not be judged,     nolite iudicare ut non iudicemini
 
2.    For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.     For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.     εν ω γαρ κριματι κρινετε κριθησεσθε και εν ω μετρω μετρειτε μετρηθησεται υμιν     for in what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and in what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you.     in quo enim iudicio iudicaveritis iudicabimini et in qua mensura mensi fueritis metietur vobis
 
3.    Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?     And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?     τι δε βλεπεις το καρφος το εν τω οφθαλμω του αδελφου σου την δε εν τω σω οφθαλμω δοκον ου κατανοεις     `And why dost thou behold the mote that is in thy brother`s eye, and the beam that is in thine own eye dost not consider?     quid autem vides festucam in oculo fratris tui et trabem in oculo tuo non vides
 
4.    Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and behold, the beam is in your own eye?     Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?     η πως ερεις τω αδελφω σου αφες εκβαλω το καρφος εκ του οφθαλμου σου και ιδου η δοκος εν τω οφθαλμω σου     or, how wilt thou say to thy brother, Suffer I may cast out the mote from thine eye, and lo, the beam is in thine own eye?     aut quomodo dicis fratri tuo sine eiciam festucam de oculo tuo et ecce trabis est in oculo tuo
 
5.    You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.     Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.     υποκριτα εκβαλε πρωτον  εκ του οφθαλμου σου την δοκον και τοτε διαβλεψεις εκβαλειν το καρφος εκ του οφθαλμου του αδελφου σου     Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother`s eye.     hypocrita eice primum trabem de oculo tuo et tunc videbis eicere festucam de oculo fratris tui
 
6.    "Don't give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.     Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.     μη δωτε το αγιον τοις κυσιν μηδε βαλητε τους μαργαριτας υμων εμπροσθεν των χοιρων μηποτε καταπατησουσιν αυτους εν τοις ποσιν αυτων και στραφεντες ρηξωσιν υμας     `Ye may not give that which is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, that they may not trample them among their feet, and having turned -- may rend you.     nolite dare sanctum canibus neque mittatis margaritas vestras ante porcos ne forte conculcent eas pedibus suis et conversi disrumpant vos
 
7.    "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.     Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:     αιτειτε και δοθησεται υμιν ζητειτε και ευρησετε κρουετε και ανοιγησεται υμιν     `Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you;     petite et dabitur vobis quaerite et invenietis pulsate et aperietur vobis
 
8.    For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.     For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.     πας γαρ ο αιτων λαμβανει και ο ζητων ευρισκει και τω κρουοντι ανοιγησεται     for every one who is asking doth receive, and he who is seeking doth find, and to him who is knocking it shall be opened.     omnis enim qui petit accipit et qui quaerit invenit et pulsanti aperietur
 
9.    Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?     Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?     η τις εστιν εξ υμων ανθρωπος ον αιτησει  ο υιος αυτου αρτον μη λιθον επιδωσει αυτω     `Or what man is of you, of whom, if his son may ask a loaf -- a stone will he present to him?     aut quis est ex vobis homo quem si petierit filius suus panem numquid lapidem porriget ei
 
10.    Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?     Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?     η και ιχθυν αιτησει μη οφιν επιδωσει αυτω     and if a fish he may ask -- a serpent will he present to him?     aut si piscem petet numquid serpentem porriget ei
 
11.    If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!     If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?     ει ουν υμεις πονηροι οντες οιδατε δοματα αγαθα διδοναι τοις τεκνοις υμων ποσω μαλλον ο πατηρ υμων ο εν τοις ουρανοις δωσει αγαθα τοις αιτουσιν αυτον     if, therefore, ye being evil, have known good gifts to give to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those asking him?     si ergo vos cum sitis mali nostis bona dare filiis vestris quanto magis Pater vester qui in caelis est dabit bona petentibus se
 
12.    Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.     Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.     παντα ουν οσα εαν θελητε ινα ποιωσιν υμιν οι ανθρωποι ουτως και υμεις ποιειτε αυτοις ουτος γαρ εστιν ο νομος και οι προφηται     `All things, therefore, whatever ye may will that men may be doing to you, so also do to them, for this is the law and the prophets.     omnia ergo quaecumque vultis ut faciant vobis homines et vos facite eis haec est enim lex et prophetae
 
13.    "Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.     Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:     εισελθατε δια της στενης πυλης οτι πλατεια η πυλη και ευρυχωρος η οδος η απαγουσα εις την απωλειαν και πολλοι εισιν οι εισερχομενοι δι αυτης     `Go ye in through the strait gate, because wide is the gate, and broad the way that is leading to the destruction, and many are those going in through it;     intrate per angustam portam quia lata porta et spatiosa via quae ducit ad perditionem et multi sunt qui intrant per eam
 
14.    How{TR reads "Because" instead of "How"} narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.     Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.     τι στενη η πυλη και τεθλιμμενη η οδος η απαγουσα εις την ζωην και ολιγοι εισιν οι ευρισκοντες αυτην     how strait is the gate, and compressed the way that is leading to the life, and few are those finding it!     quam angusta porta et arta via quae ducit ad vitam et pauci sunt qui inveniunt eam
 
15.    "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.     Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.     προσεχετε απο των ψευδοπροφητων οιτινες ερχονται προς υμας εν ενδυμασιν προβατων εσωθεν δε εισιν λυκοι αρπαγες     `But, take heed of the false prophets, who come unto you in sheep`s clothing, and inwardly are ravening wolves.     adtendite a falsis prophetis qui veniunt ad vos in vestimentis ovium intrinsecus autem sunt lupi rapaces
 
16.    By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?     Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?     απο των καρπων αυτων επιγνωσεσθε αυτους μητι συλλεγουσιν απο ακανθων σταφυλασ η απο τριβολων συκα     From their fruits ye shall know them; do men gather from thorns grapes? or from thistles figs?     a fructibus eorum cognoscetis eos numquid colligunt de spinis uvas aut de tribulis ficus
 
17.    Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.     Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.     ουτως παν δενδρον αγαθον καρπους καλους ποιει το δε σαπρον δενδρον καρπους πονηρους ποιει     so every good tree doth yield good fruits, but the bad tree doth yield evil fruits.     sic omnis arbor bona fructus bonos facit mala autem arbor fructus malos facit
 
18.    A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.     A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.     ου δυναται δενδρον αγαθον καρπους πονηρους ποιειν ουδε δενδρον σαπρον καρπους καλους ποιειν     A good tree is not able to yield evil fruits, nor a bad tree to yield good fruits.     non potest arbor bona fructus malos facere neque arbor mala fructus bonos facere
 
19.    Every tree that doesn't grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.     Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.     παν δενδρον μη ποιουν καρπον καλον εκκοπτεται και εις πυρ βαλλεται     Every tree not yielding good fruit is cut down and is cast to fire:     omnis arbor quae non facit fructum bonum exciditur et in ignem mittitur
 
20.    Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.     Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.     αρα γε απο των καρπων αυτων επιγνωσεσθε αυτους     therefore from their fruits ye shall know them.     igitur ex fructibus eorum cognoscetis eos
 
21.    Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.     Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.     ου πας ο λεγων μοι κυριε κυριε εισελευσεται εις την βασιλειαν των ουρανων αλλ ο ποιων το θελημα του πατρος μου του εν τοισ ουρανοις     `Not every one who is saying to me Lord, lord, shall come into the reign of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens.     non omnis qui dicit mihi Domine Domine intrabit in regnum caelorum sed qui facit voluntatem Patris mei qui in caelis est ipse intrabit in regnum caelorum
 
22.    Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?'     Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?     πολλοι ερουσιν μοι εν εκεινη τη ημερα κυριε κυριε ου τω σω ονοματι επροφητευσαμεν και τω σω ονοματι δαιμονια εξεβαλομεν και τω σω ονοματι δυναμεις πολλας εποιησαμεν     Many will say to me in that day, Lord, lord, have we not in thy name prophesied? and in thy name cast out demons? and in thy name done many mighty things?     multi dicent mihi in illa die Domine Domine nonne in nomine tuo prophetavimus et in tuo nomine daemonia eiecimus et in tuo nomine virtutes multas fecimus
 
23.    Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'     And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.     και τοτε ομολογησω αυτοις οτι ουδεποτε εγνων υμας αποχωρειτε απ εμου οι εργαζομενοι την ανομιαν     and then I will acknowledge to them, that -- I never knew you, depart from me ye who are working lawlessness.     et tunc confitebor illis quia numquam novi vos discedite a me qui operamini iniquitatem
 
24.    "Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.     Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:     πας ουν οστις ακουει μου τους λογους τουτους και ποιει αυτους ομοιωθησεται  ανδρι φρονιμω οστις ωκοδομησεν αυτου την οικιαν επι την πετραν     `Therefore, every one who doth hear of me these words, and doth do them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock;     omnis ergo qui audit verba mea haec et facit ea adsimilabitur viro sapienti qui aedificavit domum suam supra petram
 
25.    The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock.     And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.     και κατεβη η βροχη και ηλθον οι ποταμοι και επνευσαν οι ανεμοι και προσεπεσαν τη οικια εκεινη και ουκ επεσεν τεθεμελιωτο γαρ επι την πετραν     and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell not, for it had been founded on the rock.     et descendit pluvia et venerunt flumina et flaverunt venti et inruerunt in domum illam et non cecidit fundata enim erat super petram
 
26.    Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.     And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:     και πας ο ακουων μου τους λογους τουτους και μη ποιων αυτους ομοιωθησεται ανδρι μωρω οστις ωκοδομησεν αυτου την οικιαν επι την αμμον     `And every one who is hearing of me these words, and is not doing them, shall be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand;     et omnis qui audit verba mea haec et non facit ea similis erit viro stulto qui aedificavit domum suam supra harenam
 
27.    The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell--and great was its fall."     And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.     και κατεβη η βροχη και ηλθον οι ποταμοι και επνευσαν οι ανεμοι και προσεκοψαν τη οικια εκεινη και επεσεν και ην η πτωσις αυτης μεγαλη     and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.`     et descendit pluvia et venerunt flumina et flaverunt venti et inruerunt in domum illam et cecidit et fuit ruina eius magna
 
28.    It happened, when Jesus had finished saying these things, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,     And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:     και εγενετο οτε ετελεσεν ο ιησους τους λογους τουτους εξεπλησσοντο οι οχλοι επι τη διδαχη αυτου     And it came to pass, when Jesus ended these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,     et factum est cum consummasset Iesus verba haec admirabantur turbae super doctrinam eius
 
29.    for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.     For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.     ην γαρ διδασκων αυτους ως εξουσιαν εχων και ουχ ως οι γραμματεις αυτων     for he was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.     erat enim docens eos sicut potestatem habens non sicut scribae eorum et Pharisaei
