1.  *     سورة المؤمنون  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ قد افلح المؤمنون     swr+ almWmnwn  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? qd aflH almWmnwn     The believers had succeeded/won.     Successful indeed are the believers;     The believers must (eventually) win through,--
 
2.  *     الذين هم في صلاتهم خاشعون     alXyn hm fy Slathm Ka$`wn     Those who in their prayers they are humble/submissive.     who are reverent during their Contact Prayers (Salat).     Those who humble themselves in their prayers;
 
3.  *     والذين هم عن اللغو معرضون     walXyn hm `n allGw m`rDwn     And those who from the nonsense/senseless talk, they are objecting/turning away.     And they avoid vain talk.     Who avoid vain talk;
 
4.  *     والذين هم للزكاة فاعلون     walXyn hm llzka+ fa`lwn     And those who to the charity/purification, they are making/doing.     And they give their obligatory charity (Zakat).     Who are active in deeds of charity;
 
5.  *     والذين هم لفروجهم حافظون     walXyn hm lfrwjhm HafZwn     And those who to their genital parts between their legs they are protecting/guarding.     And they maintain their chastity.     Who abstain from sex,
 
6.  *     الا على ازواجهم او ماملكت ايمانهم فانهم غير ملومين     ala `li azwajhm aw mamlkt aymanhm fanhm Gyr mlwmyn     Except on (to) their spouses or what their rights/oaths owned/possessed (i.e. caregivers under contract), so they truly are not blameworthy/blamed.     Only with their spouses, or those who are rightfully theirs, do they have sexual relations; they are not to be blamed.     Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,--for (in their case) they are free from blame,
 
7.  *     فمن ابتغى وراء ذلك فاولئك هم العادون     fmn abtGi wra' Xlk fawlYk hm al`adwn     So who asked/desired behind/beyond that, so those are the transgressors.     Those who transgress these limits are the transgressors.     But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;-
 
8.  *     والذين هم لاماناتهم وعهدهم راعون     walXyn hm lamanathm w`hdhm ra`wn     And those whom to their securities/trusts, and their promise/contract they are protecting/observing     When it comes to deposits entrusted to them, as well as any agreements they make, they are trustworthy.     Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants;
 
9.  *     والذين هم على صلواتهم يحافظون     walXyn hm `li Slwathm yHafZwn     And those whom, they are on their prayers they are protecting/observing.     And they observe their Contact Prayers (Salat) regularly.     And who (strictly) guard their prayers;-
 
10.  *     اولئك هم الوارثون     awlYk hm alwarxwn     Those, they are the heirs/inheritants.     Such are the inheritors.     These will be the heirs,
 
11.  *     الذين يرثون الفردوس هم فيها خالدون     alXyn yrxwn alfrdws hm fyha Kaldwn     Those who inherit the Elfirdowse/one of the paradises/garden, they are in it immortally/ eternally.     They will inherit Paradise, wherein they abide forever.     Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever).
 
12.  *     ولقد خلقنا الانسان من سلالة من طين     wlqd Klqna alansan mn slal+ mn Tyn     And We had created the human from (a) descendent/gene/extract from mud/clay.     We created the human being from a certain kind of mud.     Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay);
 
13.  *     ثم جعلناه نطفة في قرار مكين     xm j`lnah nTf+ fy qrar mkyn     Then We created/made him a drop/male's or female's secretion in (a) firm/established bottom.     Subsequently, we reproduced him from a tiny drop, that is placed into a well protected repository.     Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed;
 
14.  *     ثم خلقنا النطفة علقة فخلقنا العلقة مضغة فخلقنا المضغة عظاما فكسونا العظام لحما ثم انشاناه خلقا اخر فتبارك الله احسن الخالقين     xm Klqna alnTf+ `lq+ fKlqna al`lq+ mDG+ fKlqna almDG+ `Zama fkswna al`Zam lHma xm an$anah Klqa aKr ftbark allh aHsn alKalqyn     Then We created the drop/male's or female's secretion (into) a blood clot/sperm/ semen, so We created the blood clot/sperm/semen (into) a piece of something chewable of flesh or other, so We created the piece of something chewable of flesh or other (into) bones, so We dressed/clothed the bones (with) flesh/meat, then We originated/developed him (into) another creation, so blessed (is) God, best (of) the creators.     Then we developed the drop into a hanging (embryo), then developed the hanging (embryo) into a bite-size (fetus), then created the bite-size (fetus) into bones, then covered the bones with flesh. We thus produce a new creature. Most blessed is GOD, the best Creator.     Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create!
 
15.  *     ثم انكم بعد ذلك لميتون     xm ankm b`d Xlk lmytwn     Then that you are after that dying (E).     Then, later on, you die.     After that, at length ye will die
 
16.  *     ثم انكم يوم القيامة تبعثون     xm ankm ywm alqyam+ tb`xwn     Then that you are (on) the Resurrection Day being resurrected/revived.     Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be resurrected.     Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up.
 
17.  *     ولقد خلقنا فوقكم سبع طرائق وماكنا عن الخلق غافلين     wlqd Klqna fwqkm sb` TraYq wmakna `n alKlq Gaflyn     And We had created above you, seven stages/layers, and We were not from/of the creation ignoring/neglecting.     We created above you seven universes in layers, and we are never unaware of a single creature in them.     And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation.
 
18.  *     وانزلنا من السماء ماء بقدر فاسكناه في الارض وانا على ذهاب به لقادرون     wanzlna mn alsma' ma' bqdr fasknah fy alarD wana `li Xhab bh lqadrwn     And We descended from the sky/space water with a measure/quantity, so We settled it in the land/Earth, and We are on taking away/eliminating with it capable/able (E).     We send down from the sky water, in exact measure, then we store it in the ground. Certainly, we can let it escape.     And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease).
 
19.  *     فانشانا لكم به جنات من نخيل واعناب لكم فيها فواكه كثيرة ومنها تاكلون     fan$ana lkm bh jnat mn nKyl wa`nab lkm fyha fwakh kxyr+ wmnha taklwn     So We originated/developed for you with it treed gardens/paradises from palm trees and grapes, for you in it (are) many/much fruits, and from it you eat.     With it, we produce for you orchards of date palms, grapes, all kinds of fruits, and various foods.     With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),--
 
20.  *     وشجرة تخرج من طور سيناء تنبت بالدهن وصبغ للاكلين     w$jr+ tKrj mn Twr syna' tnbt baldhn wSbG llaklyn     And a tree emerges from Sinai's mountain, it sprouts/grows with the oil/fat/grease and dye/colour to the eaters/gluttons.     Also, a tree native to Sinai produces oil, as well as relish for the eaters.     Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food.
 
21.  *     وان لكم في الانعام لعبرة نسقيكم مما في بطونها ولكم فيها منافع كثيرة ومنها تاكلون     wan lkm fy alan`am l`br+ nsqykm mma fy bTwnha wlkm fyha mnaf` kxyr+ wmnha taklwn     And that truly for you in the camels/livestock (is) an example/warning (E), We make you drink from what (is) in its bellies/insides, and for you in it (are) many benefits/uses, and from it you eat.     And the livestock should provide you with a lesson. We let you drink (milk) from their bellies, you derive other benefits from them, and some of them you use for food.     And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat;
 
22.  *     وعليها وعلى الفلك تحملون     w`lyha w`li alflk tHmlwn     And on it and on the ships, you are being carried/lifted.     On them, and on the ships, you ride.     An on them, as well as in slips, ye side.
 
23.  *     ولقد ارسلنا نوحا الى قومه فقال ياقوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من اله غيره افلا تتقون     wlqd arslna nwHa ali qwmh fqal yaqwm a`bdwa allh malkm mn alh Gyrh afla ttqwn     And We had sent Noah to his nation, so he said: "You my nation, worship God, (there is) no God for you from other than Him, so do you not fear and obey?"     We sent Noah to his people, saying, "O my people, worship GOD. You have no other god beside Him. Would you not be righteous?"     (Further, We sent a long line of prophets for your instruction). We sent Noah to his people: He said, "O my people! worship Allah. Ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?"
 
24.  *     فقال الملؤا الذين كفروا من قومه ماهذا الا بشر مثلكم يريد ان يتفضل عليكم ولو شاء الله لانزل ملائكة ماسمعنا بهذا في ابائنا الاولين     fqal almlWa alXyn kfrwa mn qwmh mahXa ala b$r mxlkm yryd an ytfDl `lykm wlw $a' allh lanzl mlaYk+ masm`na bhXa fy abaYna alawlyn     So said the nobles/assembly from those who disbelieved from his nation: "That (is) not except a human similar to you he wants that (he) makes himself more preferred/favoured on (to) you, and if God willed/wanted, He would have descended angels, we did not hear with that in our fathers/forefathers, the first/beginners."     The leaders who disbelieved among his people said, "This is no more than a human like you, who wants to gain prominence among you. Had GOD willed, He could have sent down angels. We never heard of anything like this from our ancestors.     The chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: his wish is to assert his superiority over you: if Allah had wished (to send messengers), He could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing (as he says), among our ancestors of old."
 
25.  *     ان هو الا رجل به جنة فتربصوا به حتى حين     an hw ala rjl bh jn+ ftrbSwa bh Hti Hyn     That he is except a man with him (is) insanity, so wait with him until a time.     "He is simply a man gone crazy. Just ignore him for awhile."     (And some said): "He is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time."
 
26.  *     قال رب انصرني بما كذبون     qal rb anSrny bma kXbwn     He said: "My Lord, give me victory/aid because (of) what they denied me."     He said, "My Lord, grant me victory, for they have disbelieved me."     (Noah) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood!"
 
27.  *     فاوحينا اليه ان اصنع الفلك باعيننا ووحينا فاذا جاء امرنا وفار التنور فاسلك فيها من كل زوجين اثنين واهلك الا من سبق عليه القول منهم ولاتخاطبني في الذين ظلموا انهم مغرقون     fawHyna alyh an aSn` alflk ba`ynna wwHyna faXa ja' amrna wfar altnwr faslk fyha mn kl zwjyn axnyn wahlk ala mn sbq `lyh alqwl mnhm wlatKaTbny fy alXyn Zlmwa anhm mGrqwn     So We inspired/transmitted to him: "That produce/manufacture the ship/ships with Our eyes/sights, and Our inspiration/revelation, so if Our order/command came, and the furnace/kiln/elten'noor boiled over/gushed, so enter/pass in it from every/each pair/couple two, and your family/people, except whom the words preceded on him from them, and do not address/converse with Me in (about) those who were unjust/oppressive, that they are being drowned/sunken."     We then inspired him: "Make the watercraft under our watchful eyes, and in accordance with our inspiration. When our command comes, and the atmosphere boils up, put on it a pair of every kind (of your domesticated animals), and your family, except those condemned to be doomed. Do not speak to Me on behalf of those who transgressed; they will be drowned.     So We inspired him (with this message): "Construct the Ark within Our sight and under Our guidance: then when comes Our Command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family--except those of them against whom the Word has already gone forth: And address Me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the Flood).
 
28.  *     فاذا استويت انت ومن معك على الفلك فقل الحمد لله الذي نجانا من القوم الظالمين     faXa astwyt ant wmn m`k `li alflk fql alHmd llh alXy njana mn alqwm alZalmyn     And if/when you sat on/tended to and who (is) with you on the ship/ships, so say: 'The praise/gratitude/thanks (is) to God who saved/rescued us from the nation the unjust/oppressive.'     "Once you are settled, together with those who are with you, on the watercraft, you shall say, `Praise GOD for saving us from the evil people.'     And when thou hast embarked on the Ark - thou and those with thee,--say: "Praise be to Allah, Who has saved us from the people who do wrong."
 
29.  *     وقل رب انزلني منزلا مباركا وانت خير المنزلين     wql rb anzlny mnzla mbarka want Kyr almnzlyn     And say: "My Lord, descend me a blessed place of decent, and you are best (of) the senders of the descenders (host)."     "And say, `My Lord, let me disembark onto a blessed location; You are the best deliverer.' "     And say: "O my Lord! enable me to disembark with thy blessing: for Thou art the Best to enable (us) to disembark."
 
30.  *     ان في ذلك لايات وان كنا لمبتلين     an fy Xlk layat wan kna lmbtlyn     That in that (are) evidences/signs (E), and if We were testing (E).     These should provide sufficient proofs for you. We will certainly put you to the test.     Verily in this there are Signs (for men to understand); (thus) do We try (men).
 
31.  *     ثم انشانا من بعدهم قرنا اخرين     xm an$ana mn b`dhm qrna aKryn     Then We originated/developed from after them people of one era/generation/century, others.     Subsequently, we established another generation after them.     Then We raised after them another generation.
 
32.  *     فارسلنا فيهم رسولا منهم ان اعبدوا الله مالكم من اله غيره افلا تتقون     farslna fyhm rswla mnhm an a`bdwa allh malkm mn alh Gyrh afla ttqwn     So We sent in (between) them a messenger from them: "That worship God, (there is) no God for you from other than Him, so do you not fear and obey?"     We sent to them a messenger from among them, saying, "You shall worship GOD. You have no other god beside Him. Would you not be righteous?"     And We sent to them an apostle from among themselves, (saying), "Worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?"
 
33.  *     وقال الملا من قومه الذين كفروا وكذبوا بلقاء الاخرة واترفناهم في الحياة الدنيا ماهذا الا بشر مثلكم ياكل مما تاكلون منه ويشرب مما تشربون     wqal almla mn qwmh alXyn kfrwa wkXbwa blqa' alaKr+ watrfnahm fy alHya+ aldnya mahXa ala b$r mxlkm yakl mma taklwn mnh wy$rb mma t$rbwn     And the assembly/nobles from his nation those who disbelieved and denied/falsified with meeting the end (other life), and We blessed/luxuriated them in the life the present/worldly life said: "That is not except a human equal to you, he eats from what you eat from it, and he drinks from what you drink."     The leaders among his people who disbelieved and rejected the idea of the Hereafter - although we provided for them generously in this life - said, "This is no more than a human being like you. He eats from what you eat, and drinks as you drink.     And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink.
 
34.  *     ولئن اطعتم بشرا مثلكم انكم اذا لخاسرون     wlYn aT`tm b$ra mxlkm ankm aXa lKasrwn     And if (E) you obeyed a human equal to you, that you are then losers (E).     "If you obey a human being like you, then you are really losers.     "If ye obey a man like yourselves, behold, it is certain ye will be lost.
 
35.  *     ايعدكم انكم اذا متم وكنتم ترابا وعظاما انكم مخرجون     ay`dkm ankm aXa mtm wkntm traba w`Zama ankm mKrjwn     Does he promise you, that you are if you died and you were dust/earth and bones, that you are being brought out?     "Does he promise you that, after you die and turn into dust and bones, you will come out again?     "Does he promise that when ye die and become dust and bones, ye shall be brought forth (again)?
 
36.  *     هيهات هيهات لما توعدون     hyhat hyhat lma tw`dwn     How far/how impossible ? How far/how impossible to what you are being promised?     "Impossible, impossible indeed is what is promised to you.     "Far, very far is that which ye are promised!
 
37.  *     ان هي الا حياتنا الدنيا نموت ونحيا ومانحن بمبعوثين     an hy ala Hyatna aldnya nmwt wnHya wmanHn bmb`wxyn     That truly it is except our life the present/worldly life, we die, and we live, and we are not with being resurrected/revived.     "We only live this life - we live and die - and we will never be resurrected.     "There is nothing but our life in this world! We shall die and we live! But we shall never be raised up again!
 
38.  *     ان هو الا رجل افترى على الله كذبا ومانحن له بمؤمنين     an hw ala rjl aftri `li allh kXba wmanHn lh bmWmnyn     That he is except a man he fabricated/cut and split on (about) God lies/falsifications, and we are not to him with believing.     "He is just a man who fabricated lies and attributed them to GOD. We will never believe him."     "He is only a man who invents a lie against Allah, but we are not the ones to believe in him!"
 
39.  *     قال رب انصرني بما كذبون     qal rb anSrny bma kXbwn     He said: "My Lord, give me victory/aid because (of) what they denied me."     He said, "My Lord, grant me victory, for they have disbelieved me."     (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood."
 
40.  *     قال عما قليل ليصبحن نادمين     qal `ma qlyl lySbHn nadmyn     He said: "On what little (shortly) they (will) become/become in the morning regretful/remorseful."     He said, "Soon they will be sorry."     ((Allah)) said: "In but a little while, they are sure to be sorry!"
 
41.  *     فاخذتهم الصيحة بالحق فجعلناهم غثاء فبعدا للقوم الظالمين     faKXthm alSyH+ balHq fj`lnahm Gxa' fb`da llqwm alZalmyn     So the loud strong cry/torture raid punished/took them with the truth, so We made them rotten/useless, so a destruction/curse to the nation the unjust/oppressive.     The retribution struck them, equitably, and thus, we turned them into ruins. The wicked people perished.     Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong!
 
42.  *     ثم انشانا من بعدهم قرونا اخرين     xm an$ana mn b`dhm qrwna aKryn     Then We originated/developed from after them generations/peoples of eras/centuries, others.     Subsequently, we established other generations after them.     Then We raised after them other generations.
 
43.  *     ماتسبق من امة اجلها ومايستاخرون     matsbq mn am+ ajlha wmaystaKrwn     None from a nation precedes its term/time and they do not delay/lag behind.239     No community can advance its predetermined fate, nor delay it.     No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it).
 
44.  *     ثم ارسلنا رسلنا تترا كلما جاء امة رسولها كذبوه فاتبعنا بعضهم بعضا وجعلناهم احاديث فبعدا لقوم لايؤمنون     xm arslna rslna ttra klma ja' am+ rswlha kXbwh fatb`na b`Dhm b`Da wj`lnahm aHadyx fb`da lqwm layWmnwn     Then We sent Our messengers successively/periodically, whenever a nation its messenger came to it, they denied him, so We made some of them follow some, and We made them information, so a destruction/curse to a nation they do not believe.     Then we sent our messengers in succession. Every time a messenger went to his community, they disbelieved him. Consequently, we annihilated them, one after the other, and made them history. The people who disbelieved have perished.     Then sent We our apostles in succession: every time there came to a people their apostle, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe!
 
45.  *     ثم ارسلنا موسى واخاه هارون باياتنا وسلطان مبين     xm arslna mwsi waKah harwn bayatna wslTan mbyn     Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our verses/evidences and an evident proof/evidence.     Then we sent Moses and his brother Aaron with our revelations and a profound proof.     Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest,
 
46.  *     الى فرعون وملئه فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما عالين     ali fr`wn wmlYh fastkbrwa wkanwa qwma `alyn     To Pharaoh, and his nobles/assembly, so they became arrogant and they were a high and mighty nation.     To Pharaoh and his elders, but they turned arrogant. They were oppressive people.     To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: But these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people.
 
47.  *     فقالوا انؤمن لبشرين مثلنا وقومهما لنا عابدون     fqalwa anWmn lb$ryn mxlna wqwmhma lna `abdwn     So they said: "Do we believe to two humans equal to us, and their (B)'s nation (are) to us worshipping?"     They said, "Shall we believe for two men whose people are our slaves?"     They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!"
 
48.  *     فكذبوهما فكانوا من المهلكين     fkXbwhma fkanwa mn almhlkyn     So they denied them (B), so they were from the perished/destroyed.     They rejected the two, and consequently, they were annihilated.     So they accused them of falsehood, and they became of those who were destroyed.
 
49.  *     ولقد اتينا موسى الكتاب لعلهم يهتدون     wlqd atyna mwsi alktab l`lhm yhtdwn     And We had given/brought to Moses The Book, maybe/perhaps they be guided.     We gave Moses the scripture, that they may be guided.     And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance.
 
50.  *     وجعلنا ابن مريم وامه اية واويناهما الى ربوة ذات قرار ومعين     wj`lna abn mrym wamh ay+ wawynahma ali rbw+ Xat qrar wm`yn     And We made Mary's son and his mother, an evidence/sign, and We sheltered them (B) to an elevated ground/hill of (with a) bottom and flowing easily and plentifully.     We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and we gave them refuge on a mesa with food and drink.     And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs.
 
51.  *     ياايها الرسل كلوا من الطيبات واعملوا صالحا اني بما تعملون عليم     yaayha alrsl klwa mn alTybat wa`mlwa SalHa any bma t`mlwn `lym     You, you the messengers, eat from the goodnesses, and make/do correct/righteous deeds, that I am with what you make/do knowledgeable.     O you messengers, eat from the good provisions, and work righteousness. I am fully aware of everything you do.     O ye apostles! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.
 
52.  *     وان هذه امتكم امة واحدة وانا ربكم فاتقون     wan hXh amtkm am+ waHd+ wana rbkm fatqwn     And that this (is) your nation, one nation and I am your Lord so fear and obey Me.     Such is your congregation - one congregation - and I am your Lord; you shall reverence Me.     And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other).
 
53.  *     فتقطعوا امرهم بينهم زبرا كل حزب بما لديهم فرحون     ftqT`wa amrhm bynhm zbra kl Hzb bma ldyhm frHwn     So they separated their matter/affair (into) pieces every/each group/party with what (is) at them, they are happy/delighted.     But they tore themselves into disputing factions; each party happy with what they have.     But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself.
 
54.  *     فذرهم في غمرتهم حتى حين     fXrhm fy Gmrthm Hti Hyn     So leave them in their ignorance/hatred until a time/period of time.     Therefore, just leave them in their confusion, for awhile.     But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time.
 
55.  *     ايحسبون انما نمدهم به من مال وبنين     ayHsbwn anma nmdhm bh mn mal wbnyn     Do they think/suppose that We extend/spread them with it from property/possession/wealth and sons/sons and daughters?     Do they think that, since we provided them with money and children,     Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons,
 
56.  *     نسارع لهم في الخيرات بل لايشعرون     nsar` lhm fy alKyrat bl lay$`rwn     We rush/quicken for them in the goodnesses/generosity, but they do not feel/know/sense.     we must be showering them with blessings? Indeed, they have no idea.     We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand.
 
57.  *     ان الذين هم من خشية ربهم مشفقون     an alXyn hm mn K$y+ rbhm m$fqwn     That those who, they are from their Lord's fearing cautious/compassionate.     Surely, those who are reverently conscious of their Lord,     Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord;
 
58.  *     والذين هم بايات ربهم يؤمنون     walXyn hm bayat rbhm yWmnwn     And those who, they are with their Lord's verses/evidences believing.     And who believe in the revelations of their Lord,     Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord;
 
59.  *     والذين هم بربهم لايشركون     walXyn hm brbhm lay$rkwn     And those who, they are with their Lord, they do not share/make partners.     And who never set up any idols beside their Lord,     Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord;
 
60.  *     والذين يؤتون مااتوا وقلوبهم وجلة انهم الى ربهم راجعون     walXyn yWtwn maatwa wqlwbhm wjl+ anhm ali rbhm raj`wn     And those who give/bring what they gave/brought, and their hearts/minds (are) afraid/apprehensive that they are to their Lord returning.     As they give their charities, their hearts are fully reverent. For they recognize that they will be summoned before their Lord,     And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;-
 
61.  *     اولئك يسارعون في الخيرات وهم لها سابقون     awlYk ysar`wn fy alKyrat whm lha sabqwn     Those, they speed/rush in the goodnesses/generosity, and they are to it racing/surpassing.     They are eager to do righteous works; they compete in doing them.     It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them.
 
62.  *     ولانكلف نفسا الا وسعها ولدينا كتاب ينطق بالحق وهم لايظلمون     wlanklf nfsa ala ws`ha wldyna ktab ynTq balHq whm layZlmwn     And We do not burden/impose (on) a self except its endurance/capacity and at Us (is) a Book (it) speaks/clarifies with the truth, and they are not being caused injustice to/oppressed.     We never burden any soul beyond its means, and we keep a record that utters the truth. No one will suffer injustice.     On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged.
 
63.  *     بل قلوبهم في غمرة من هذا ولهم اعمال من دون ذلك هم لها عاملون     bl qlwbhm fy Gmr+ mn hXa wlhm a`mal mn dwn Xlk hm lha `amlwn     But their hearts/minds (are) in ignorance/intensity from this, and for them (are) deeds other than that, they are to it doing/working.     Because their minds are oblivious to this, they commit works that do not conform with this; their works are evil.     But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,--
 
64.  *     حتى اذا اخذنا مترفيهم بالعذاب اذا هم يجأرون     Hti aXa aKXna mtrfyhm bal`Xab aXa hm yjArwn     Until when We took/punished their luxuriated ungrateful and arrogant with the torture, then, where/when they cry aloud and humbly/pray.     Then, when we requite their leaders with retribution, they complain.     Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication!
 
65.  *     لاتجأروا اليوم انكم منا لاتنصرون     latjArwa alywm ankm mna latnSrwn     Do not cry aloud and humbly/pray the day/today, that you are from Us not being given victory/aid.     Do not complain now; you have given up all help from us.     (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us.
 
66.  *     قد كانت اياتي تتلى عليكم فكنتم على اعقابكم تنكصون     qd kant ayaty ttli `lykm fkntm `li a`qabkm tnkSwn     My verses/evidences had been read/recited on (to) you, so you were on your heels returning/withdrawing.     My proofs have been presented to you, but you turned back on your heels.     "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels-
 
67.  *     مستكبرين به سامرا تهجرون     mstkbryn bh samra thjrwn     Arrogantly conversing at night, you speak disgustedly/obscenely with (about) it.     You were too arrogant to accept them, and you defiantly disregarded them.     "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night."
 
68.  *     افلم يدبروا القول ام جاءهم مالم يات اباءهم الاولين     aflm ydbrwa alqwl am ja'hm malm yat aba'hm alawlyn     Did they not consider/regulate the word/opinion and belief ? Or came to them what did not come (to) their fathers, the first/beginners?240     Why do they not reflect upon this scripture? Do they not realize that they have received something never attained by their ancestors?     Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah., or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old?
 
69.  *     ام لم يعرفوا رسولهم فهم له منكرون     am lm y`rfwa rswlhm fhm lh mnkrwn     Or they did not know (recognize) their messenger, so they are to him denying/ignoring?     Have they failed to recognize their messenger? Is this why they are disregarding him?     Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him?
 
70.  *     ام يقولون به جنة بل جاءهم بالحق واكثرهم للحق كارهون     am yqwlwn bh jn+ bl ja'hm balHq wakxrhm llHq karhwn     Or they say: "With him (is) insanity/madness." But he came to them with the truth, and most of them to the truth (are) hating.     Have they decided that he is crazy? Indeed, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them hate the truth.     Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth.
 
71.  *     ولو اتبع الحق اهواءهم لفسدت السماوات والارض ومن فيهن بل اتيناهم بذكرهم فهم عن ذكرهم معرضون     wlw atb` alHq ahwa'hm lfsdt alsmawat walarD wmn fyhn bl atynahm bXkrhm fhm `n Xkrhm m`rDwn     And if the truth followed their self attractions for desires, the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth and who (is) in them (B) would have (been) corrupted/destroyed, but We came/brought to them with their reminder, so they are from their reminder objecting/opposing.     Indeed, if the truth conformed to their wishes, there would be chaos in the heavens and the earth; everything in them would be corrupted. We have given them their proof, but they are disregarding their proof.     If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition.
 
72.  *     ام تسألهم خرجا فخراج ربك خير وهو خير الرازقين     am tsAlhm Krja fKraj rbk Kyr whw Kyr alrazqyn     Or you ask/question them (for) a royalty/retainer, so your Lord's royalty/retainer (is) best, and He is the provider's best.     Are you asking them for a wage? Your Lord's wage is far better. He is the best Provider.     Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance.
 
73.  *     وانك لتدعوهم الى صراط مستقيم     wank ltd`whm ali SraT mstqym     And that you call them to a straight/direct road/way.     Most assuredly, you are inviting them to a straight path.     But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way;
 
74.  *     وان الذين لايؤمنون بالاخرة عن الصراط لناكبون     wan alXyn layWmnwn balaKr+ `n alSraT lnakbwn     And that those who do not believe with the end (other life) are from the road/way deviating/siding away (E).     Those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will surely deviate from the right path.     And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way.
 
75.  *     ولو رحمناهم وكشفنا مابهم من ضر للجوا في طغيانهم يعمهون     wlw rHmnahm wk$fna mabhm mn Dr lljwa fy TGyanhm y`mhwn     And if We had mercy upon them, and We removed/uncovered (relieved) what (is) with them from harm, they would have persisted, excessed and insisted in their tyranny/arrogance being confused/puzzled.     Even when we showered them with mercy, and relieved their problems, they plunged deeper into transgression, and continued to blunder.     If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro.
 
76.  *     ولقد اخذناهم بالعذاب فما استكانوا لربهم وما يتضرعون     wlqd aKXnahm bal`Xab fma astkanwa lrbhm wma ytDr`wn     And We had taken/punished them with the torture so they did not become humiliated/disgraced to their Lord, and they do not become humble and humiliate themselves.     Even when we afflicted them with retribution, they never turned to their Lord imploring.     We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!-
 
77.  *     حتى اذا فتحنا عليهم بابا ذا عذاب شديد اذا هم فيه مبلسون     Hti aXa ftHna `lyhm baba Xa `Xab $dyd aXa hm fyh mblswn     Until when We opened on them a door/entrance of strong (severe) torture, then they are in it, they are confused/dumbfounded.     Subsequently, when we requited them with the severe retribution they had incurred, they were shocked.     Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein!
 
78.  *     وهو الذي انشا لكم السمع والابصار والافئدة قليلا ماتشكرون     whw alXy an$a lkm alsm` walabSar walafYd+ qlyla mat$krwn     And He is who originated/developed for you the hearing/listening and the eye sights/knowledge, and the hearts, little (is) what you thank/be grateful.     He is the One who granted you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brains. Rarely are you appreciative.     It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give!
 
79.  *     وهو الذي ذراكم في الارض واليه تحشرون     whw alXy Xrakm fy alarD walyh tH$rwn     And He is who created/seeded you in the earth/Planet Earth, and to Him you are being gathered.     He is the One who established you on earth, and before Him you will be summoned.     And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back.
 
80.  *     وهو الذي يحيي ويميت وله اختلاف الليل والنهار افلا تعقلون     whw alXy yHyy wymyt wlh aKtlaf allyl walnhar afla t`qlwn     And He is who revives/makes alive and makes die, and to Him the night's and the daytime's difference, so do you not reason/comprehend ?     He is the One who controls life and death, and He is the One who alternates the night and day. Do you not understand?     It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand?
 
81.  *     بل قالوا مثل ماقال الاولون     bl qalwa mxl maqal alawlwn     But they said similar/equal (to) what the first/beginners said.     They said what their ancestors said.     On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said.
 
82.  *     قالوا ءاذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما ائنالمبعوثون     qalwa 'aXa mtna wkna traba w`Zama aYnalmb`wxwn     They said: "Is (it that) if we died, and we were dust/earth and bones, are we being resurrected/revived (E)?"     They said, "After we die and become dust and bones, we get resurrected?     They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again?
 
83.  *     لقد وعدنا نحن واباؤنا هذا من قبل ان هذا الا اساطير الاولين     lqd w`dna nHn wabaWna hXa mn qbl an hXa ala asaTyr alawlyn     We had been promised this from before, we, and our fathers, that this (is) except the first's/beginner's myths/baseless stories.     "Such promises were given to us and to our parents in the past. These are no more than tales from the past."     "Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!"
 
84.  *     قل لمن الارض ومن فيها ان كنتم تعلمون     ql lmn alarD wmn fyha an kntm t`lmwn     Say: "To whom (is) the earth/Planet Earth and who (is) in it, if you were knowing?"     Say, "To whom belongs the earth and everyone on it, if you know?"     Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!"
 
85.  *     سيقولون لله قل افلا تذكرون     syqwlwn llh ql afla tXkrwn     They will say: "To God." Say: "So do you not mention/remember ?"     They will say, "To GOD." Say, "Why then do you not take heed?"     They will say, "To Allah." say: "Yet will ye not receive admonition?"
 
86.  *     قل من رب السماوات السبع ورب العرش العظيم     ql mn rb alsmawat alsb` wrb al`r$ al`Zym     Say: "Who (is) the seven skies' Lord, and the great throne's Lord?"     Say, "Who is the Lord of the seven universes; the Lord of the great dominion?"     Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?"
 
87.  *     سيقولون لله قل افلاتتقون     syqwlwn llh ql aflattqwn     They will say: "To God." Say: "So do you not fear and obey?"     They will say, "GOD." Say, "Why then do you not turn righteous?"     They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?"
 
88.  *     قل من بيده ملكوت كل شئ وهو يجير ولايجار عليه ان كنتم تعلمون     ql mn bydh mlkwt kl $Y whw yjyr wlayjar `lyh an kntm t`lmwn     Say: "Who (is) with (in) His hand every thing's ownership, and He protects/defends, and is not (to) be protected/defended on him, if you were knowing?"     Say, "In whose hand is all sovereignty over all things, and He is the only one who can provide help, but needs no help, if you know?"     Say: "Who is it in whose hands is the governance of all things,--who protects (all), but is not protected (of any)? (say) if ye know."
 
89.  *     سيقولون لله قل فانى تسحرون     syqwlwn llh ql fani tsHrwn     They will say: "To God," Say: "So how (do) you be bewitched/enchanted/corrupted ?"     They will say, "GOD." Say, "Where did you go wrong?"     They will say, "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?"
 
90.  *     بل اتيناهم بالحق وانهم لكاذبون     bl atynahm balHq wanhm lkaXbwn     But We came/brought/gave to them with the truth, and that they are lying/denying.     We have given them the truth, while they are liars.     We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood!
 
91.  *     مااتخذ الله من ولد وماكان معه من اله اذا لذهب كل اله بما خلق ولعلا بعضهم على بعض سبحان الله عما يصفون     maatKX allh mn wld wmakan m`h mn alh aXa lXhb kl alh bma Klq wl`la b`Dhm `li b`D sbHan allh `ma ySfwn     God did not take/receive from a child (son), and (there) was not from a god with Him, then each/every god would have gone with what he created, and some of them would have heightened/elevated over some, God's praise/glory about what they describe/categorize.241     GOD has never begotten a son. Nor was there ever any other god beside Him. Otherwise, each god would have declared independence with his creations, and they would have competed with each other for dominance. GOD be glorified; far above their claims.     No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah. (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!
 
92.  *     عالم الغيب والشهادة فتعالى عما يشركون     `alm alGyb wal$had+ ft`ali `ma y$rkwn     Knower (of) the unseen/hidden and the testimony/presence, so (He is) high, mighty, exalted and dignified about what they share/make partners (with Him).     The Knower of all secrets and declarations; be He exalted, far above having a partner.     He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him!
 
93.  *     قل رب اما تريني مايوعدون     ql rb ama tryny mayw`dwn     Say: "My Lord, if you show me what they are being promised."     Say, "My Lord, whether You show me (the retribution) they have incurred     Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,--
 
94.  *     رب فلا تجعلني في القوم الظالمين     rb fla tj`lny fy alqwm alZalmyn     My Lord, so do not make/put me in (between) the nation the unjust/oppressive.     "My Lord, let me not be one of the transgressing people."     "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!"
 
95.  *     وانا على ان نريك مانعدهم لقادرون     wana `li an nryk man`dhm lqadrwn     And We (E) on that We show you what We promise them (are) capable/able (E).     To show you (the retribution) we have reserved for them is something we can easily do.     And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned.
 
96.  *     ادفع بالتي هي احسن السيئة نحن اعلم بما يصفون     adf` balty hy aHsn alsyY+ nHn a`lm bma ySfwn     Push/repel the sin/crime with which it is best, We are more knowledgeable with what they describe/categorize.     Therefore, counter their evil works with goodness; we are fully aware of their claims.     Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say.
 
97.  *     وقل رب اعوذ بك من همزات الشياطين     wql rb a`wX bk mn hmzat al$yaTyn     And say: "My Lord, I seek protection by You from the devils' urges/suggestions.     Say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils.     And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones.
 
98.  *     واعوذ بك رب ان يحضرون     wa`wX bk rb an yHDrwn     And I seek protection by you, my Lord, that they attend/come to me.     "And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they come near me."     "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me."
 
99.  *     حتى اذا جاء احدهم الموت قال رب ارجعون     Hti aXa ja' aHdhm almwt qal rb arj`wn     Until when the death/lifelessness came to one of them, he said: "My Lord return me."     When death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back.     (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),--
 
100.  *     لعلي اعمل صالحا فيما تركت كلا انها كلمة هو قائلها ومن ورائهم برزخ الى يوم يبعثون     l`ly a`ml SalHa fyma trkt kla anha klm+ hw qaYlha wmn wraYhm brzK ali ywm yb`xwn     Maybe/perhaps I make/do correct/righteous deeds in what I left. No but it is a word/expression he is saying it, and from behind them (is) a barrier to a day/time they be resurrected/revived.     "I will then work righteousness in everything I left." Not true. This is a false claim that he makes. A barrier will separate his soul from this world until resurrection.     "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up.
 
101.  *     فاذا نفخ في الصور فلا انساب بينهم يومئذ ولايتساءلون     faXa nfK fy alSwr fla ansab bynhm ywmYX wlaytsa'lwn     So if the horn/bugle was blown in, so (there are) no relations/kin between them (on) that day, and nor they ask/question each other.     When the horn is blown, no relations among them will exist on that day, nor will they care about one another.     Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another!
 
102.  *     فمن ثقلت موازينه فاولئك هم المفلحون     fmn xqlt mwazynh fawlYk hm almflHwn     So who his weights/measures became heavy, so those are the successful/winners.     As for those whose weights are heavy, they will be the winners.     Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,--they will attain salvation:
 
103.  *     ومن خفت موازينه فاولئك الذين خسروا انفسهم في جهنم خالدون     wmn Kft mwazynh fawlYk alXyn Ksrwa anfshm fy jhnm Kaldwn     And who his weights/measures were reduced/lightened, so those (are) those who lost themselves in Hell immortally/eternally.     Those whose weights are light are the ones who lost their souls; they abide in Hell forever.     But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide.
 
104.  *     تلفح وجوههم النار وهم فيها كالحون     tlfH wjwhhm alnar whm fyha kalHwn     The fire scorches/burns their faces/fronts, and they are in it gloomy/grim.     Fire will overwhelm their faces, and they last miserably therein.     The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced.
 
105.  *     الم تكن اياتي تتلى عليكم فكنتم بها تكذبون     alm tkn ayaty ttli `lykm fkntm bha tkXbwn     Were not My verses/evidences read/recited on (to) you, so you were with it lying/denying ?     Were not My revelations recited to you, and you kept on rejecting them?     "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?"
 
106.  *     قالوا ربنا غلبت علينا شقوتنا وكنا قوما ضالين     qalwa rbna Glbt `lyna $qwtna wkna qwma Dalyn     They said: "Our Lord our misery/unhappiness defeated/overcame on us, and we were a misguided nation."     They will say, "Our Lord, our wickedness overwhelmed us, and we were people gone astray.     They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray!
 
107.  *     ربنا اخرجنا منها فان عدنا فانا ظالمون     rbna aKrjna mnha fan `dna fana Zalmwn     Our Lord, bring us out from it, so if we returned, so we are (then) unjust/oppressive.     "Our Lord, take us out of this; if we return (to our old behavior), then we are really wicked."     "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!"
 
108.  *     قال اخسأوا فيها ولاتكلمون     qal aKsAwa fyha wlatklmwn     He said: "Be despised/humiliated in it, and do not converse/speak (to) me."     He will say, "Abide therein, humiliated, and do not speak to Me.     He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me!
 
109.  *     انه كان فريق من عبادي يقولون ربنا امنا فاغفر لنا وارحمنا وانت خير الراحمين     anh kan fryq mn `bady yqwlwn rbna amna faGfr lna warHmna want Kyr alraHmyn     That it truly was a group from My worshippers/slaves saying: "Our Lord, we believed, so forgive for us and have mercy upon us, and you are best (of) the merciful."     "A group of My servants used to say, `Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and shower us with mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful.'     "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!"
 
110.  *     فاتخذتموهم سخريا حتى انسوكم ذكري وكنتم منهم تضحكون     fatKXtmwhm sKrya Hti answkm Xkry wkntm mnhm tDHkwn     So you took/received them mocking/ridiculing until they made you forget My remembrance/reminder and you were laughing/wondering from them.     "But you mocked and ridiculed them, to the extent that you forgot Me. You used to laugh at them.     "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them!
 
111.  *     اني جزيتهم اليوم بما صبروا انهم هم الفائزون     any jzythm alywm bma Sbrwa anhm hm alfaYzwn     That I rewarded/reimbursed them the day/today because (of) what they were patient, that they are, they are the winners/successful.     "I have rewarded them today, in return for their steadfastness, by making them the winners."     "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..."
 
112.  *     قال كم لبثتم في الارض عدد سنين     qal km lbxtm fy alarD `dd snyn     Say: "How much/many number/numerous years you remained in the earth/Planet Earth?"     He said, "How long have you lasted on earth? How many years?"     He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?"
 
113.  *     قالوا لبثنا يوما او بعض يوم فسأل العادين     qalwa lbxna ywma aw b`D ywm fsAl al`adyn     They said: "We stayed/remained a day or part (of) a day, so ask/question the counting."     They said, "We lasted a day or part of a day. Ask those who counted."     They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account."
 
114.  *     قال ان لبثتم الا قليلا لو انكم كنتم تعلمون     qal an lbxtm ala qlyla lw ankm kntm t`lmwn     He said: "That truly that you stayed/remained except little, if that you were knowing."     He said, "In fact, you stayed but a brief interim, if you only knew.     He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,--if ye had only known!
 
115.  *     افحسبتم انما خلقناكم عبثا وانكم الينا لاترجعون     afHsbtm anma Klqnakm `bxa wankm alyna latrj`wn     Did you think/suppose, that We created you playfully and mockingly, and that you are not being returned to Us?     "Did you think that we created you in vain; that you were not to be returned to us?"     "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?"
 
116.  *     فتعالى الله الملك الحق لااله الا هو رب العرش الكريم     ft`ali allh almlk alHq laalh ala hw rb al`r$ alkrym     So high, mighty, exalted and dignified (is) God the king/owner/possessor, the truth/just, (there is) no God except Him, Lord (of) the throne, the honoured.     Most exalted is GOD, the true Sovereign. There is no other god beside Him; the Most Honorable Lord, possessor of all authority.     Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour!
 
117.  *     ومن يدع مع الله الها اخر لابرهان له به فانما حسابه عند ربه انه لايفلح الكافرون     wmn yd` m` allh alha aKr labrhan lh bh fanma Hsabh `nd rbh anh layflH alkafrwn     And who calls with God another god, (he has) no proof/evidence for him with it, so but his242account/calculation (is) at his Lord, that He truly does not make the disbelievers succeed/win.     Anyone who idolizes beside GOD any other god, and without any kind of proof, his reckoning rests with his Lord. The disbelievers never succeed.     If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through!
 
118.  *     وقل رب اغفر وارحم وانت خير الراحمين     wql rb aGfr warHm want Kyr alraHmyn     And say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are best (of) the merciful."243     Say, "My Lord, shower us with forgiveness and mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful."     So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!"
