1.  *     O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? Thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.     O PROPHET! Why dost thou, out of a desire to please [one or another of] thy wives, impose [on thyself] a prohibition of something that God has made lawful to thee? [1]1 But God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace:     You, you the prophet, why/for what (do) you forbid/prohibit what God permitted/allowed for you, you wish/desire your wives' approvals/satisfactions, and God (is) forgiving, merciful.     swr+ altHrym  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? yaayha alnby lm tHrm maaHl allh lk tbtGy mrDa+ azwajk wallh Gfwr rHym

2.  *     Allah has already ordained for you, (O men), the dissolution of your oaths (in some cases): and Allah is your Protector, and He is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom.     God has already enjoined upon you [O believers] the breaking and expiation of [such of] your oaths [as may run counter to what is right and just]: [2]2 for, God is your Lord Supreme, and He alone is all-knowing, truly wise.     God had commanded/made a duty for you, expiation/oath dissolution dues (of) your oaths, and God is your ally/master, and He is the knowledgeable, the wise/judicious.     qd frD allh lkm tHl+ aymankm wallh mwlakm whw al`lym alHkym

3.  *     When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)."     And lo! [3]3 [It so happened that] the Prophet told something in confidence to one of his wives; and when she thereupon divulged it, and God made this known to him, he acquainted [others] with some of it and passed over some of it. [4]4 And as soon as he let her know it, she asked, "Who has told thee this?" [5]5 - [to which] he replied, "The All-Knowing, the All-Aware has told me."     And when the prophet confided to some (of) his wives an information/speech, so when she informed with it (others) and God made it apparent/visible on (to) him, he made some of it known and he opposed from some, so when he informed her with it, she said: "Who informed you (of) this?" He said: "The knowledgeable, the expert/experienced informed me."     waX asr alnby ali b`D azwajh Hdyxa flma nbat bh waZhrh allh `lyh `rf b`Dh wa`rD `n b`D flma nbaha bh qalt mn anbak hXa qal nbany al`lym alKbyr

4.  *     If ye two turn in repentance to Him, your hearts are indeed so inclined; But if ye back up each other against him, truly Allah is his Protector, and Gabriel, and (every) righteous one among those who believe,- and furthermore, the angels - will back (him) up.     [Say, O Prophet: [6]6] "Would that you two turn unto God in repentance, for the hearts of both of you have swerved [from what is right]! [7]7 And if you uphold each other against him [who is God's message-bearer, know that] God Himself is his Protector, and [that,] therefore, [8]8 Gabriel, and all the righteous among the believers and all the [other] angels will come to his aid."     If you (B) repent to God, so your (B)'s hearts/minds had inclined/listened, and if they (B) cooperated/supported each other on (against) him, so then God, He is his guardian/ally, and Gabriel, and (the) correct/righteous (of) the believers, and the angels after that (are) a supporter/helper.     an ttwba ali allh fqd SGt qlwbkma wan tZahra `lyh fan allh hw mwlah wjbryl wSalH almWmnyn walmlaYk+ b`d Xlk Zhyr

5.  *     It may be, if he divorced you (all), that Allah will give him in exchange consorts better than you,- who submit (their wills), who believe, who are devout, who turn to Allah in repentance, who worship (in humility), who travel (for Faith) and fast,- previously married or virgins.     [O wives of the Prophet!] Were he to divorce [any of] you, God might well give him in your stead spouses better than you - women who surrender themselves unto God, who truly believe, devoutly obey His will, turn [unto Him] in repentance [whenever they have sinned] worship [Him alone] and go on and on [seeking His goodly acceptance] [9]9 - be they women previously married or virggins. [10]10     Maybe/perhaps his Lord if he divorced you (F) that He exchanges/replaces for him wives better than you, Moslems/submitters, believers, worshipping humbly,, repentant, worshipping, fasting and secluded in mosques (devout), divorced/widowed/non-virgin, and first borns/virgins.     `si rbh an Tlqkn an ybdlh azwaja Kyra mnkn mslmat mWmnat qantat taYbat `abdat saYHat xybat wabkara

6.  *     O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.     O YOU who have attained to faith! Ward off from yourselves and those who are close to you [11]11 that fire [of the hereafter] whose fuel is human beings and stones: [12]12 [lording] over it are angelic powers awesome [and] severe, [13]13 who do not disobey God in whatever He has commanded them, but [always] do what they are bidden to do. [14]14     You, you those who believed, protect your selves and your families/people (from) a fire, its fuel (is) the people and the stones, on it (are) angels hard/rough, strong (severe), they do not disobey God what He ordered/commanded them, and they make/do what they are ordered/commanded.     yaayha alXyn amnwa qwa anfskm wahlykm nara wqwdha alnas walHjar+ `lyha mlaYk+ GlaZ $dad lay`Swn allh maamrhm wyf`lwn mayWmrwn

7.  *     (They will say), "O ye Unbelievers! Make no excuses this Day! Ye are being but requited for all that ye did!"     [Hence,] O you who are bent on denying the truth, make no [empty] excuses today: [15]15 [in the life to come] you shall be but recompensed for what you were doing [in this world].     You, you those who disbelieved, do not apologize/excuse yourselves the day/today, but/truly you are being reimbursed what you were making/doing.     yaayha alXyn kfrwa lat`tXrwa alywm anma tjzwn makntm t`mlwn

8.  *     O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things."     O you who have attained to faith! Turn unto God in sincere repentance: [16]16 it may well be .that your Sustainer will efface from you your bad deeds, and will admit you into gardens through which running waters flow, on a Day on which God will not shame the Prophet and those who share his faith: [17]17 their light will spread rapidly before them, and on their right; [18]18 [and] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Cause this our light to shine for us forever, [19]19 and forgive us our sins: for, verily, Thou hast the power to will anything!"     You, you those who believed, repent to God, a sincere/honest (E) repentance, maybe/perhaps your Lord that He covers/substitutes from you your sins/crimes, and He makes you enter treed gardens/paradises, the rivers/waterways flow from beneath it, a day/time God does not shame/scandalize (disappoint) the prophet and those who believed with Him, their light strives/moves quickly between their hands, and at their rights, they say: "Our Lord complete for us our light, and forgive for us, that You are on every thing capable/able."     yaayha alXyn amnwa twbwa ali allh twb+ nSwHa `si rbkm an ykfr `nkm syYatkm wydKlkm jnat tjry mn tHtha alanhar ywm layKzy allh alnby walXyn amnwa m`h nwrhm ys`i byn aydyhm wbaymanhm yqwlwn rbna atmm lna nwrna waGfr lna ank `li kl $Y qdyr

9.  *     O Prophet! Strive hard against the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed).     O PROPHET! Strive hard against the deniers of the truth and the hypocrites, and be adamant with them. [20]20 And [if they do not repent,] their goal shall be hell - and how vile a journey's end!     You, you the prophet, do your utmost/struggle (against) the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be hard/strong on them, and their shelter/refuge (is) Hell, and how bad (is) the end/destination?     yaayha alnby jahd alkfar walmnafqyn waGlZ `lyhm wmawahm jhnm wbYs almSyr

10.  *     Allah sets forth, for an example to the Unbelievers, the wife of Noah and the wife of Lut: they were (respectively) under two of our righteous servants, but they were false to their (husbands), and they profited nothing before Allah on their account, but were told: "Enter ye the Fire along with (others) that enter!"     For those who are bent on denying the truth God has propounded a parable in [the stories of] Noah's wife and Lot's wife: they were wedded to two of Our righteous servants, and each one betrayed her husband; [21]21 and neither of the two [husbands] will be of any avail to these two women when they are told [on Judgment Day], "Enter the fire with all those [other sinners] who enter it!" [22]22     God gave an example/proverb to those who disbelieved, Noah's woman (wife), and Lot's woman (wife), they (B) were under (at) two worshippers (B) from Our worshippers (the) correct/righteous, so they (B) betrayed/were unfaithful to them (B), so they (B) did not enrich/avail from them (B) from God a thing, and (it was) said: "Enter (B) the fire with the entering."     Drb allh mxla llXyn kfrwa amra+ nwH wamra+ lwT kanta tHt `bdyn mn `badna SalHyn fKantahma flm yGnya `nhma mn allh $yYa wqyla adKla alnar m` aldaKlyn

11.  *     And Allah sets forth, as an example to those who believe the wife of Pharaoh: Behold she said: "O my Lord! Build for me, in nearness to Thee, a mansion in the Garden, and save me from Pharaoh and his doings, and save me from those that do wrong";     And for those who have attained to faith God has propounded a parable in [the story of] Pharaoh's wife^ [23]23 as she prayed "O my Sustainer! Build Thou for me a mansion in the paradise [that is] with Thee, and save me from Pharaoh and his doings, and save me, from all evildoing folk!     And God gave an example/proverb to those who believed, Pharaoh's woman (wife) when she said: "My Lord build/construct for me at You a house/home in the Paradise and save/rescue me from Pharaoh and his deed, and save/rescue me from the nation the unjust/oppressive."     wDrb allh mxla llXyn amnwa amra+ fr`wn aX qalt rb abn ly `ndk byta fy aljn+ wnjny mn fr`wn w`mlh wnjny mn alqwm alZalmyn
