What is the Sure Reality?
|
|
How awesome that laying-bare of the truth!
|
|
What is the disaster/catastrophe/reality ?
|
|

3. * |
And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is?
|
|
And what could make thee conceive what that laying-bare of the truth will be? [2]2
|
|
And what makes you know what (is) the disaster/catastrophe/reality ?
|
|

|
4. * |
The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!
|
|
THE LIE gave [the tribes of] Thamud and `Ad to [all tidings of] that sudden calamity! [3]3
|
|
Thamud and Aad lied/denied/falsified with the Resurrection/disaster/calamity.
|
|

|
|
5. * |
But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning!
|
|
Now as for the Thamud - they were destroyed by a violent upheaval [of the earth]; [4]4
|
|
So but (for) Thamud, so they were made to die/destroyed with a wind blowing/frosty (and) violent.

|
|
6. * |
And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent;
|
|
and as for the `Ad - they were destroyed by a storm wind furiously raging,
|
|
And but (for) Aad, so they were made to die/destroyed by a violent blowing/frosty wind.
|
|
wama `ad fahlkwa bryH SrSr `aty+
|
|
7. * |
He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!
|
|
which He willed against them for seven nights and eight days without cease, so that in the end thou couldst see those people laid low [in death], as though they were so many [uprooted] trunks of hollow palm trees:
|
|
He manipulated/subjugated it on them seven nights and eight days ominously/severing goodness (uprooting), so you see the nation in it lying flat/mad, as if they are palm tree's fallen/destroyed ends.

|

|

Then seest thou any of them left surviving?
|
|
and dost thou now see any remnant of them?
|
|
So do you see for them from a remainder/remnant?
|
|

|
|

And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin.
|
|
And there was Pharaoh, too, and [many of] those who lived before him, and the cities that were overthrown [5]5 - [all of them] indulged in sin upon sins
|
|
And Pharaoh came, and who (is) before him, and the overturned/destroyed cities with the sin.
|
|
wja' fr`wn wmn qblh walmWtfkat balKaTY+
|
|
10. * |
And disobeyed (each) the apostle of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty.
|
|
and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe!
|
|
So they disobeyed their Lord's messenger, so He punished them an increased spellbinding (devastating) punishment.
|
|

|
|
11. * |
We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),
|
|
[And] behold: when the waters [of Noah's flood] burst beyond all limits, it was We who caused you [6]6 to be borne [to safety] in that floating ark,
|
|
We (E) when the water became elevated (over flowed)/violent, We carried/lifted you in the ship/flowing.
|
|
ana lma TGi alma' Hmlnakm fy aljary+
|
|
12. * |
That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.
|
|
so that We might make all this [7]7 a [lasting] reminder to you all, and that every wide-awake ear might consciously take it in.
|
|
To make/put it for you (as) a reminder, and comprehending/perceiving ears accept/understand it.
|
|

|
|
13. * |
Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet,
|
|
Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast,
|
|
So when (it) was blown in the horn/bugle/instrument, one blow.
|
|
faXa nfK fy alSwr nfK+ waHd+
|
|
14. * |
And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,-
|
|
and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke!
|
|
And the earth/Planet Earth and the mountains were carried/lifted, so they (B) were leveled/flattened one crunch/destruction.
|
|

|
|
15. * |
On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass.
|
|
And so, that which must come to pass [8]8 will on that day have come to pass;
|
|
So that day, the Resurrection/Event landed/happened.
|
|
fywmYX wq`t alwaq`+
|
|
16. * |
And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,
|
|
and the sky will be rent asunder [9]9 - for, frail will it have become on that Day - ;
|
|
And the sky/space split away/cut open, so it is (on) that day cracked/weak.
|
|
wan$qt alsma' fhy ywmYX wahy+
|
|
17. * |
And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.
|
|
and the angels [will appear] at its ends, [10]10 and, above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness... [11]11
|
|
And the angels (are) on its boundaries/vastness, and that day eight carries/lifts your Lord's throne above them.
|
|

|
|
18. * |
That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden.
|
|
On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden.
|
|
That day, you are being exhibited/displayed, not a hidden (thing) hides from you.
|
|

|
|
19. * |
Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record!
|
|
Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, [12]12 he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record!
|
|
So but who was given/brought his book/judgment with his right (hand), so he says: "Take (here take this) read my Book/judgment."

|

|
|
20. * |
"I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!"
|
|
Behold, I did know that [one day] I would have to face my account! [13]13
|
|
That I, I thought/assumed that I am receiving/meeting my account/calculation (punishment).
|
|

|
21. * |
And he will be in a life of Bliss,
|
|
And so he will find himself in a happy state of life,
|
|
So he is in (an) acceptable/approved life/quality of life.
|
|

|
|
22. * |
In a Garden on high,
|
|
in a lofty paradise,
|
|
In an elevated/dignified treed garden/paradise.
|
|
fy jn+ `aly+
|
|
23. * |
The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near.
|
|
with its fruits within easy reach.
|
|
Its fruit harvests (are) near.
|
|
qTwfha dany+
|
|
24. * |
"Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!"
|
|
[And all who are thus blest will be told:] "Eat and drink with good cheer in return for all [the good deeds] that you have sent ahead in days gone by!"
|
|
Eat and drink pleasurable/wholesome/tasty because (of) what you advanced in the days/times, the past/expired.
|
|
klwa wa$rbwa hnyYa bma aslftm fy alayam alKaly+
|
|
25. * |
And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me!
|
|
But as for him whose record shall be placed in his left hand, [14]14 he will exclaim: "Oh, would that I had never been shown this my record,
|
|
And but who was given/brought his Book/judgment with his left (hand), so he says: "I wish I would have not been given my book/judgment."

|

|
|
26. * |
"And that I had never realised how my account (stood)!
|
|
and neither known this my account!
|
|
And I did not know what my account/calculation (is).
|
|

|
|
27. * |
"Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me!
|
|
Oh, would that this [death of mine] had been the end of me!
|
|
Oh,. if only it was the end/death.
|
|

|
|
28. * |
"Of no profit to me has been my wealth!
|
|
Of no avail to me is all that I have [ever] possessed,
|
|
My property/possession/wealth did not enrich/suffice (help) from (for) me.
|
|

|
|
29. * |
"My power has perished from me!"...
|
|
[and] all my power of argument has died away from me!" [15]15
|
|
My authority/power perished from me.
|
|
hlk `ny slTanyh
|
|
30. * |
(The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him,
|
|
Thereupon the command will go forth:] "Lay hold of him, and shackle him, [16]16
|
|
Take/punish him, so chain/tie him.
|
|

|
|
31. * |
"And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire.
|
|
and then let him enter hell,
|
|
Then (in) the Hell roast/burn him.
|
|
xm aljHym Slwh
|
|
32. * |
"Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits!
|
|
and then thrust him into a chain [of other sinners like him [17]17 - a chain] the length whereof is seventy cubits: [18]18
|
|
Then in a chain its measure (length is) seventy arm/ells/cubit, so enter/pass/thread/(tie) him.
|
|
xm fy slsl+ Xr`ha sb`wn Xra`a faslkwh
|
|
33. * |
"This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High.
|
|
for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous,
|
|
That he truly was not believing with (in) God, the great.
|
|

|
|
34. * |
"And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent!
|
|
and did not feel any urge [19]19 to feed the needy:
|
|
And nor urges/insights/influences on feeding the poorest of poor/poor oppressed.
|
|
wlayHD `li T`am almskyn
|
|
35. * |
"So no friend hath he here this Day.
|
|
and so, no friend has here today,
|
|
So here, here (a) concerned (relative/friend) is not for him the day/today.
|
|
flys lh alywm hahna Hmym
|
|
36. * |
"Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds,
|
|
nor any food save the filth
|
|
And nor food except from ghesleen (could be Hell's occupants' flesh, skin and blood).
|
|
wlaT`am ala mn Gslyn
|
|
37. * |
"Which none do eat but those in sin."
|
|
which none but the sinners eat!" [20]20
|
|
None eat it except the mistaken/erroneous.
|
|
layaklh ala alKaTYwn
|
|
38. * |
So I do call to witness what ye see,
|
|
BUT NAY! I call to witness an that you can see,
|
|
So I do not swear/make oath with what you see.
|
|
fla aqsm bma tbSrwn
|
|
39. * |
And what ye see not,
|
|
as well as all that you cannot see! [21]21
|
|
And what you do not see.
|
|
wmalatbSrwn
|
|
40. * |
That this is verily the word of an honoured apostle;
|
|
Behold, this [Quran] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle,
|
|
That it truly is an honoured/noble messenger's word/saying (E).
|
|
anh lqwl rswl krym
|
|
41. * |
It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe!
|
|
and is not - however little you may [be prepared to] believe it - the word of a poet;
|
|
And it is not with a poet's word/saying, little (is) what you believe.
|
|
wmahw bqwl $a`r qlyla matWmnwn
|
|
42. * |
Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive.
|
|
and neither is it - however little you may [be prepared to] take it to heart - the word of a soothsayer:
|
|
And nor with a fortune teller's/altar priests word/saying, little (is) what you mention/remember.
|
|
wlabqwl kahn qlyla matXkrwn
|
|
43. * |
(This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.
|
|
[it is] a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds.
|
|
Descent from the creations all together's/(universe's) Lord.
|
|
tnzyl mn rb al`almyn
|
|
44. * |
And if the apostle were to invent any sayings in Our name,
|
|
Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us,
|
|
And if (the messenger) made false statements on Us (on Our behalf) some (of) the sayings/beliefs.
|
|

|
|
45. * |
We should certainly seize him by his right hand,
|
|
We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, [22]22
|
|
We would have punished/taken from him by the right (hand).
|
|
laKXna mnh balymyn
|
|
46. * |
And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart:
|
|
and would indeed have cut his life-vein.
|
|
Then We would have severed/cut off from him the aorta/heart's main artery.
|
|
xm lqT`na mnh alwtyn
|
|
47. * |
Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).
|
|
and none of you could have saved him!
|
|
So (there) is not from anyone from you preventing/hindering from (for) him.
|
|
fma mnkm mn aHd `nh Hajzyn
|
|
48. * |
But verily this is a Message for the Allah.fearing.
|
|
And, verily, this [Qur'an] is a reminder to all the God-conscious! [23]23
|
|
And that it truly is a reminder for the fearing and obeying.
|
|
wanh ltXkr+ llmtqyn
|
|
49. * |
And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it).
|
|
And, behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it:
|
|
And We (E), We know (E) that (E) from you (are) liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
wana ln`lm an mnkm mkXbyn
|
|
50. * |
But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers.
|
|
yet, behold, this [rejection] will indeed become a source of bitter regret for all who deny the truth [of God's revelation] -
|
|
And that it truly is grief/sadness (E), on the disbelievers.
|
|
wanh lHsr+ `li alkafryn
|
|
51. * |
But verily it is Truth of assured certainty.
|
|
for, verily, it is truth absolute!
|
|
And that it truly is true/real (E) the assurance/certainty.
|
|
wanh lHq alyqyn
|
|
52. * |
So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High.
|
|
Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name!
|
|
So praise/glorify with your Lord's name the great.434
|
