1.  *     When the Sky is cleft asunder;     WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder,*     When/if the sky/space split/cracked/cleaved.     swr+ alanfTar  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? aXa alsma' anfTrt
 
2.  *     When the Stars are scattered;     and when the stars are scattered,     And when/if the stars/planets scattered/spread.     waXa alkwakb antxrt
 
3.  *     When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth;     and when the seas burst beyond their bounds,     And when/if the seas/oceans burst/over flowed.     waXa albHar fjrt
 
4.  *     And when the Graves are turned upside down;-     and when the graves are overturned -     And when/if the graves/burial places are scattered/over thrown.     waXa alqbwr b`xrt
 
5.  *     (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back.     every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world].*     A self knew what it advanced/preceded and delayed.     `lmt nfs maqdmt waKrt
 
6.  *     O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?-     O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer,*     You, you the human/mankind, what has deceived/tempted you with (from) your Lord, the honoured/generous ?     yaayha alansan maGrk brbk alkrym
 
7.  *     Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias;     who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions,*     Who created you, so He straightened you, so He balanced/adjusted you.     alXy Klqk fswak f`dlk
 
8.  *     In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together.     having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]?     In any shape/picture what He willed/intended He assembled/composed you.     fy ay Swr+ ma$a' rkbk
 
9.  *     Day! nit ye do reject Right and Judgment!     Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment!*     No but, rather you lie/deny/falsify with the religion.     kla bl tkXbwn baldyn
 
10.  *     But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,-     And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you,     And that truly (We are) on you protectors/observers (E).     wan `lykm lHafZyn
 
11.  *     Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds):     noble, recording,     Honoured/generous, writing/ordering.     krama katbyn
 
12.  *     They know (and understand) all that ye do.     aware of whatever you do!*     They (the angels) know what you make/do.     y`lmwn matf`lwn
 
13.  *     As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss;     Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss,     That truly the righteous/charitable (are) in (E) blessing/goodness.     an alabrar lfy n`ym
 
14.  *     And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire,     whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire -     And that truly the debauchers/corrupters (are) in (E) Hell.     wan alfjar lfy jHym
 
15.  *     Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment,     [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day,     They roast/suffer (from) it (in) the Judgment Day/Resurrection Day.     ySlwnha ywm aldyn
 
16.  *     And they will not be able to keep away therefrom.     and which they shall not [be able to] evade.     And they are not from it with (being) absent/hidden.     wmahm `nha bGaYbyn
 
17.  *     And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?     And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be?     And what made you know/informed you what (is) the Judgment Day/Resurrection Day ?     wmaadrak maywm aldyn
 
18.  *     Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?     And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be?*     Then what made you know/informed you what the Judgment Day/Resurrection Day (is)?     xm maadrak maywm aldyn
 
19.  *     (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah.     [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone.     A day/time a self does not own/possess to a self a thing, and the matter/affair/order/command (on) that day (is) to God.     ywm latmlk nfs lnfs $yYa walamr ywmYX llh
