1.  *     By the Mount (of Revelation);     Mt. Sinai.     سورة الطور  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ والطور     By/and the mountain.         Waalttoori
 
2.  *     By a Decree inscribed     The recorded scripture.     وكتاب مسطور     By/and a Book written/inscribed/drafted.         Wakitabin mastoorin
 
3.  *     In a Scroll unfolded;     Published in books.     في رق منشور     In spread/publicized parchment.         Fee raqqin manshoorin
 
4.  *     By the much-frequented Fane;     The frequented Shrine.     والبيت المعمور     By/and to the House/Home, the frequently visited/inhabited/populated.         Waalbayti almaAAmoori
 
5.  *     By the Canopy Raised High;     The exalted ceiling.     والسقف المرفوع     By/and the roof/ceiling, the raised.         Waalssaqfi almarfooAAi
 
6.  *     And by the Ocean filled with Swell;-     The sea that is set aflame.     والبحر المسجور     By/and the sea/ocean, the filled and overflowed.         Waalbahri almasjoori
 
7.  *     Verily, the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass;-     Your Lord's requital is unavoidable.     ان عذاب ربك لواقع     That truly your Lord's torture (is) happening/falling (E).         Inna AAathaba rabbika lawaqiAAun
 
8.  *     There is none can avert it;-     No force in the universe can stop it.     ماله من دافع     (There is) no repeller/pusher for it.         Malahu min dafiAAin
 
9.  *     On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion.     The day will come when the sky will violently thunder.     يوم تمور السماء مورا     A day/time the sky/space agitates/moves from side to side quickly (in) agitation/quick movement from side to side.         Yawma tamooru alssamao mawran
 
10.  *     And the mountains will fly hither and thither.     The mountains will be wiped out.     وتسير الجبال سيرا     And the mountains moves movement/manipulation.         Wataseeru aljibalu sayran
 
11.  *     Then woe that Day to those that treat (Truth) as Falsehood;-     Woe on that day to the disbelievers -     فويل يومئذ للمكذبين     So calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/falsifiers.         Fawaylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
 
12.  *     That play (and paddle) in shallow trifles.     who are in their blundering, heedless.     الذين هم في خوض يلعبون     Those who, they are in a plunge/an engagement in conversation playing/amusing.         Allatheena hum fee khawdin yalAAaboona
 
13.  *     That Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly.     They will be herded into Gehenna, forcibly.     يوم يدعون الى نار جهنم دعا     A day/time they are being called repeatedly to Hell's fire, repelling/pushing away violently and roughly.         Yawma yudaAAAAoona ilanari jahannama daAAAAan
 
14.  *     "This:, it will be said, "Is the Fire,- which ye were wont to deny!     This is the Fire in which you used to disbelieve.     هذه النار التي كنتم بها تكذبون     This (is) the fire which you were with it lying/denying.         Hathihi alnnaru allatee kuntum bihatukaththiboona
 
15.  *     "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see?     Is this magic, or do you not see?     افسحر هذا ام انتم لاتبصرون     So is magic/sorcery that (so is that magic/sorcery)? Or you do not see/look/understand?         Afasihrun hathaam antum latubsiroona
 
16.  *     "Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds."     Suffer the burning. Whether you are patient or impatient, it will be the same for you. This is the just requital for what you did.     اصلوها فاصبروا اولا تصبروا سواء عليكم انما تجزون ماكنتم تعملون     Roast/suffer it, so be patient or do not be patient, (it is) equal/alike on (to) you, but/truly you are being reimbursed what you were making/doing.         Islawhafaisbiroo aw latasbiroo sawaon AAalaykum innamatujzawna makuntum taAAmaloona
 
17.  *     As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness,-     The righteous have deserved gardens and bliss.     ان المتقين في جنات ونعيم     That truly the fearing and obeying (are) in treed gardens/paradises and blessing/comfort and ease.         Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin wanaAAeemin
 
18.  *     Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.     They enjoy what their Lord has reserved for them; their Lord has spared them the retribution of Hell.     فاكهين بما اتاهم ربهم ووقاهم ربهم عذاب الجحيم     Enjoying/joyful with what their Lord gave them, and their Lord protected them (from) the Hell's torture.         Fakiheena bimaatahum rabbuhum wawaqahum rabbuhum AAathaba aljaheemi
 
19.  *     (To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds."     Eat and drink happily, in return for your works.     كلوا واشربوا هنيئا بما كنتم تعملون     Eat and drink pleasurable/tasty because (of) what you were making/doing.         Kuloo waishraboo hanee-an bimakuntum taAAmaloona
 
20.  *     They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.     They relax on luxurious furnishings, and we match them with beautiful spouses.     متكئين على سرر مصفوفة وزوجناهم بحور عين     Reclining/resting on royal beds/sofas lined/arranged, and We got them married with (spouses of) eyes with intense blackness of pupils and whiteness (beautifully contrasted).         Muttaki-eena AAalasururin masfoofatin wazawwajnahum bihoorin AAeenin
 
21.  *     And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith,- to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.     For those who believed, and their children also followed them in belief, we will have their children join them. We never fail to reward them for any work. Every person is paid for what he did.     والذين امنوا واتبعتهم ذريتهم بايمان الحقنا بهم ذريتهم وماالتناهم من عملهم من شئ كل امرى بما كسب رهين     And those who believed and their descendants followed them with faith/belief, We made their descendants catch up/follow with them, and We did not reduce/diminish them from a thing from their deeds, each/every human with what he gained/won (is) accountable.         Waallatheenaamanoo waittabaAAat-humthurriyyatuhum bi-eemanin alhaqnabihimthurriyyatahum wamaalatnahum min AAamalihim min shay-in kullu imri-in bimakasaba raheenun
 
22.  *     And We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire.     We will supply them with fruits and meats that they love.     وامددناهم بفاكهة ولحم ممايشتهون     And We extended/spread them with fruits and flesh/meat from what they desire/crave.         Waamdadnahum bifakihatin walahmin mimmayashtahoona
 
23.  *     They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill.     They will enjoy drinks that are never polluted, and never sinful to drink.     يتنازعون فيها كاسا لالغو فيها ولاتاثيم     They give each other in it a cup/wine, (there is) no nonsense/senseless talk in it, and nor sinning/committing crimes.         YatanazaAAoona feehakasan lalaghwun feehawalatatheemun
 
24.  *     Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them. Youths (handsome) as Pearls well-guarded.     Serving them will be servants like protected pearls.     ويطوف عليهم غلمان لهم كانهم لؤلؤ مكنون     And servants/boys for them, circle/walk around on them, as if they are protected/covered pearls.         Wayatoofu AAalayhim ghilmanun lahum kaannahum lu\luon maknoonun
 
25.  *     They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry.     They will meet each other and reminisce among themselves.     واقبل بعضهم على بعض يتساءلون     And some of them approached/came on (to) some (each other), they ask/question each other.         Waaqbala baAAduhum AAalabaAAdin yatasaaloona
 
26.  *     They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people.     They will say, "We used to be kind and humble among our people.     قالوا انا كنا قبل في اهلنا مشفقين     They said: "We were before in our people/family afraid/compassionate."         Qaloo innakunnaqablu fee ahlinamushfiqeena
 
27.  *     "But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.     "GOD has blessed us, and has spared us the agony of ill winds.     فمن الله علينا ووقانا عذاب السموم     So God blessed on us and He protected/preserved us (from) the severe hot's/burning wind's torture.         Famanna Allahu AAalaynawawaqanaAAathaba alssamoomi
 
28.  *     "Truly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful!"     "We used to implore Him; He is the Most Kind, Most Merciful."     انا كنا من قبل ندعوه انه هو البر الرحيم     We were from before, we call Him, that He truly is, He is the righteous/charitable, the merciful/most merciful.         Innakunnamin qablu nadAAoohu innahu huwa albarru alrraheemu
 
29.  *     Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed.     You shall remind the people. With your Lord's blessing's upon you, you are neither a soothsayer, nor crazy.     فذكر فما انت بنعمة ربك بكاهن ولامجنون     So remind, so you are not with your Lord's blessing with a fortune teller/highly ranked priest or rabbi,and nor mad/insane.         Fathakkir famaanta biniAAmati rabbika bikahin walamajnoonin
 
30.  *     Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!"     They may say, "He is a poet; let us just wait until he is dead."     ام يقولون شاعر نتربص به ريب المنون     Or they say: "A poet, we wait/remain with him the death's doubt/suspicion".         Am yaqooloona shaAAirun natarabbasu bihi rayba almanooni
 
31.  *     Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!"     Say, "Go on waiting; I will wait along with you."     قل تربصوا فاني معكم من المتربصين     Say: "Wait/remain (watch) so that I am with you from the waiting/ remaining (watching)."         Qul tarabbasoo fa-innee maAAakum mina almutarabbiseena
 
32.  *     Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds?     Is it their dreams that dictate their behavior, or are they naturally wicked?     ام تامرهم احلامهم بهذا ام هم قوم طاغون     Or their minds/dreams order/command them with that, or they are a tyrannizing/arrogant nation?         Am ta\muruhum ahlamuhum bihathaam hum qawmuntaghoona
 
33.  *     Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith!     Do they say, "He made it all up?" Instead, they are simply disbelievers.     ام يقولون تقوله بل لايؤمنون     Or they say: "He made it up." But/rather, they do not believe.         Am yaqooloona taqawwalahu bal layu\minoona
 
34.  *     Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth!     Let them produce a Hadith like this, if they are truthful.     فلياتوا بحديث مثله ان كانوا صادقين     So they come (E) with an information/speech equal/alike to it, if they were truthful.         Falya\too bihadeethin mithlihi in kanoosadiqeena
 
35.  *     Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?     Were they created from nothing? Are they the creators?     ام خلقوا من غير شئ ام هم الخالقون     Or they were created from without a thing, or they are the creators?         Am khuliqoo min ghayri shay-in am humu alkhaliqoona
 
36.  *     Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief.     Did they create the heavens and the earth? Indeed, they have no certainty.     ام خلقوا السماوات والارض بل لايوقنون     Or they created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, but/rather they are not sure/certain?         Am khalaqoo alssamawati waal-arda bal layooqinoona
 
37.  *     Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)?     Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Are they in control?     ام عندهم خزائن ربك ام هم المصيطرون     Or at them (are) your Lord's safes/storages (treasures)? Or they are the dominators/controllers?         Am AAindahum khaza-inu rabbika am humu almusaytiroona
 
38.  *     Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof.     Do they climb a ladder that enables them to listen? Let their listeners show their proof.     ام لهم سلم يستمعون فيه فليات مستمعهم بسلطان مبين     Or for them (is) a ladder, they hear/listen in (from) it? So their hearer/listener should come with a clear/evident proof/evidence/power.         Am lahum sullamun yastamiAAoona feehi falya\ti mustamiAAuhum bisultanin mubeenin
 
39.  *     Or has He only daughters and ye have sons?     Does He have daughters, while you have sons?     ام له البنات ولكم البنون     Or for Him (are) the daughters, and for you (are) the sons?         Am lahu albanatu walakumu albanoona
 
40.  *     Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?-     Are you asking them for any wage, and they are burdened thereby?     ام تسألهم اجرا فهم من مغرم مثقلون     Or you ask/question them (for) a reward/wage/fee, so they are from a burdensome debt heavy/burdened/loaded?         Am tas-aluhum ajran fahum min maghramin muthqaloona
 
41.  *     Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down?     Do they know the future, and have it recorded?     ام عندهم الغيب فهم يكتبون     Or at them (is) the unseen/absent so they write/dictate ?         Am AAindahumu alghaybu fahum yaktuboona
 
42.  *     Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot!     Are they plotting and scheming? The disbelievers' schemes backfire against them.     ام يريدون كيدا فالذين كفروا هم المكيدون     Or they want/intend a plot/conspiracy ? So those who disbelieved they are the plotted/conspired against.         Am yureedoona kaydan faallatheena kafaroo humu almakeedoona
 
43.  *     Or have they a god other than Allah. Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him!     Do they have another god beside GOD? GOD be glorified, far above having partners.     ام لهم اله غير الله سبحان الله عما يشركون     Or for them (is) a god other than God? God's praise/glory from what they share/make partners (with Him).         Am lahum ilahun ghayru Allahi subhana Allahi AAammayushrikoona
 
44.  *     Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!"     When they see masses falling from the sky, they will say, "Piled clouds!"     وان يروا كسفا من السماء ساقطا يقولوا سحاب مركوم     And if they see/understand pieces from the sky/space dropping/falling they say: "Piled/accumulated/heaped clouds."         Wa-in yaraw kisfan mina alssama-i saqitan yaqooloo sahabun markoomun
 
45.  *     So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror),-     Disregard them until they meet the day in which they are struck.     فذرهم حتى يلاقوا يومهم الذي فيه يصعقون     So leave them until they meet/find their day/time which in it they die/get thunderstruck.         Fatharhumhattayulaqoo yawmahumu allathee feehi yusAAaqoona
 
46.  *     The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them.     On that day, their schemes will not protect them, nor will they be helped.     يوم لايغني عنهم كيدهم شيئا ولاهم ينصرون     A day/time their plotting/conspiracy does not enrich/suffice from them a thing, and nor they be given victory/aid.         Yawma layughnee AAanhum kayduhum shay-an walahum yunsaroona
 
47.  *     And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not.     Those who transgress suffer retribution here, but most of them do not know.     وان للذين ظلموا عذابا دون ذلك ولكن اكثرهم لايعلمون     And that truly to those who were unjust/oppressive (is) a torture other than that, and but most of them do not know.         Wa-inna lillatheenathalamoo AAathaban doonathalika walakinna aktharahum layaAAlamoona
 
48.  *     Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth,     You shall steadfastly persevere in carrying out your Lord's command - you are in our eyes - and glorify and praise your Lord when you get up.     واصبر لحكم ربك فانك باعيننا وسبح بحمد ربك حين تقوم     And be patient for your Lord's judgment/rule, so that you are with Our eyes/sights, and praise/glorify with your Lord's praise/gratitude when you stand/get up.         Waisbir lihukmi rabbika fa-innaka bi-aAAyuninawasabbihbihamdi rabbikaheena taqoomu
 
49.  *     And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars!     Also during the night glorify Him, and at dawn as the stars fade away.     ومن الليل فسبحه وادبار النجوم     And from the night so praise/glorify Him, and (at) the star's/planet's passings/ends (settings).389         Wamina allayli fasabbihhu wa-idbara alnnujoomi
