1.  *     O thou folded in garments!     O you cloaked one.     سورة المزمل بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ ياايها المزمل     You, you the hiding/wrapped in clothes.         Yaayyuhaalmuzzammilu
 
2.  *     Stand (to prayer) by night, but not all night,-     Meditate during the night, except rarely.     قم الليل الا قليلا     Stand the night except little.         Qumi allayla illaqaleelan
 
3.  *     Half of it,- or a little less,     Half of it, or a little less.     نصفه او انقص منه قليلا     Its half/middle or reduce/decrease from it little.         Nisfahu awi onqusminhu qaleelan
 
4.  *     Or a little more; and recite the Qur'an in slow, measured rhythmic tones.     Or a little more. And read the Quran from cover to cover.     او زد عليه ورتل القران ترتيلا     Or increase on it, and read or recite slowly, distinctly and clearly the Koran, slow distinct and clear reading or recitation.         Aw zid AAalayhi warattili alqur-ana tarteelan
 
5.  *     Soon shall We send down to thee a weighty Message.     We will give you a heavy message.     انا سنلقي عليك قولا ثقيلا     That We, We will throw (a) heavy saying/word/declaration on you.         Innasanulqee AAalayka qawlan thaqeelan
 
6.  *     Truly the rising by night is most potent for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (framing) the Word (of Prayer and Praise).     The meditation at night is more effective, and more righteous.     ان ناشئة الليل هي اشد وطئا واقوم قيلا     That truly the night's first hours it is stronger pressure and more just (in) a saying/word/declaration.         Inna nashi-ata allayli hiya ashaddu wat-an waaqwamu qeelan
 
7.  *     True, there is for thee by day prolonged occupation with ordinary duties:     You have a lot of time during the day for other matters.     ان لك في النهار سبحا طويلا     That truly for you in the daytime (is) long tending to the livelihood/sleeping and resting.         Inna laka fee alnnahari sabhantaweelan
 
8.  *     But keep in remembrance the name of thy Lord and devote thyself to Him whole-heartedly.     You shall commemorate the name of your Lord, to come ever closer and closer to Him.     واذكر اسم ربك وتبتل اليه تبتيلا     And remember/mention your Lord's name and devote your life to Him devotion of your life (to God).         Waothkuri isma rabbika watabattal ilayhi tabteelan
 
9.  *     (He is) Lord of the East and the West: there is no god but He: take Him therefore for (thy) Disposer of Affairs.     Lord of the east and the west; there is no other god beside Him. You should choose Him as your advocate.     رب المشرق والمغرب لااله الا هو فاتخذه وكيلا     The sun rises'/easts' and the sun set's/west's Lord, (there is) no God except Him, so take Him (as) a guardian/ally         Rabbu almashriqi waalmaghribi lailaha illahuwa faittakhithhu wakeelan
 
10.  *     And have patience with what they say, and leave them with noble (dignity).     And remain steadfast in the face of their utterances, and disregard them in a nice manner.     واصبر على مايقولون واهجرهم هجرا جميلا     And be patient on what they say, and desert/abandon them beautiful/graceful desertion/abandonment.         Waisbir AAalamayaqooloona waohjurhum hajran jameelan
 
11.  *     And leave Me (alone to deal with) those in possession of the good things of life, who (yet) deny the Truth; and bear with them for a little while.     And let Me deal with the rejectors, who have been generously blessed; just give them a little time.     وذرني والمكذبين اولي النعمة ومهلهم قليلا     And leave Me and the liars/deniers/falsifiers (owners) of the blessing/goodness, and delay them (a) little.         Watharnee waalmukaththibeena olee alnnaAAmati wamahhilhum qaleelan
 
12.  *     With Us are Fetters (to bind them), and a Fire (to burn them),     We have severe punishments, and Hell.     ان لدينا انكالا وجحيما     That truly shackles and Hell (is) at Us.         Inna ladaynaankalan wajaheeman
 
13.  *     And a Food that chokes, and a Penalty Grievous.     Food that can hardly be swallowed, and painful retribution.     وطعاما ذاغصة وعذابا اليما     And food of lumping in the throat and a painful torture.         WataAAamanthaghussatin waAAathaban aleeman
 
14.  *     One Day the earth and the mountains will be in violent commotion. And the mountains will be as a heap of sand poured out and flowing down.     The day will come when the earth and the mountains will quake, and the mountains will turn into a weightless pile.     يوم ترجف الارض والجبال وكانت الجبال كثيبا مهيلا     A day/time the earth/Planet Earth and the mountains trembles and shakes, and the mountains were a heap of sand dumped sand or dust.         Yawma tarjufu al-ardu waaljibalu wakanati aljibalu katheeban maheelan
 
15.  *     We have sent to you, (O men!) an apostle, to be a witness concerning you, even as We sent an apostle to Pharaoh.     We have sent to you a messenger, just as we sent to Pharaoh a messenger.     انا ارسلنا اليكم رسولا شاهدا عليكم كما ارسلنا الى فرعون رسولا     That We, We sent a messenger to you, a witness/testifier on you, as/like We sent a messenger to Pharaoh.         Innaarsalnailaykum rasoolan shahidan AAalaykum kamaarsalnailafirAAawna rasoolan
 
16.  *     But Pharaoh disobeyed the apostle; so We seized him with a heavy Punishment.     Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger and, consequently, we punished him severely.     فعصى فرعون الرسول فاخذناه اخذا وبيلا     So Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We punished/took him (a) severe/detrimental punishing.         FaAAasafirAAawnu alrrasoola faakhathnahu akhthan wabeelan
 
17.  *     Then how shall ye, if ye deny ((Allah)), guard yourselves against a Day that will make children hoary-headed?-     If you disbelieve, how can you evade a day so terrible that it makes the infants gray-haired?     فكيف تتقون ان كفرتم يوما يجعل الولدان شيبا     So how (do) you fear and obey (avoid), if you disbelieved (in) a day it makes the children/new borns white or gray haired (old)?         Fakayfa tattaqoona in kafartum yawman yajAAalu alwildana sheeban
 
18.  *     Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished.     The heaven will shatter therefrom. His promise is true.     السماء منفطر به كان وعده مفعولا     The sky/space is split/cleaved with (by) it, His promise was/is made/done.         Alssamao munfatirun bihi kana waAAduhu mafAAoolan
 
19.  *     Verily this is an Admonition: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) path to his Lord!     This is a reminder; whoever wills, let him choose the path to his Lord.     ان هذه تذكرة فمن شاء اتخذ الى ربه سبيلا     That truly this (is) a reminder, so who wanted took/received a way/path to his Lord.         Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ilarabbihi sabeelan
 
20.  *     Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah.s bounty; yet others fighting in Allah.s Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah.s Presence,- yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah. for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.     Your Lord knows that you meditate during two-thirds of the night, or half of it, or one-third of it, and so do some of those who believed with you. GOD has designed the night and the day, and He knows that you cannot always do this. He has pardoned you. Instead, you shall read what you can of the Quran. He knows that some of you may be ill, others may be traveling in pursuit of GOD's provisions, and others may be striving in the cause of GOD. You shall read what you can of it, and observe the contact prayers (Salat), give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and lend GOD a loan of righteousness. Whatever good you send ahead on behalf of your souls, you will find it at GOD far better and generously rewarded. And implore GOD for forgiveness. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.     ان ربك يعلم انك تقوم ادنى من ثلثي الليل ونصفه وثلثه وطائفة من الذين معك والله يقدر الليل والنهار علم ان لن تحصوه فتاب عليكم فاقرؤوا ماتيسر من القران علم ان سيكون منكم مرضى واخرون يضربون في الارض يبتغون من فضل الله واخرون يقاتلون في سبيل الله فاقرؤوا  ماتيسر منه واقيموا الصلاة واتوا الزكاة واقرضوا الله قرضا حسنا وماتقدموا لانفسكم من خير تجدوه عند الله هو خيرا واعظم اجرا واستغفروا الله ان الله غفور رحيم     That truly your Lord knows that you, you stand/call (for) prayer nearer (than) from two-thirds (of) the night and its half/middle, and its third, and a group of people from those with you, and God predestines/evaluates the night and the daytime, He knew that you (will) not count/compute it so He forgave on you, so read what eased/became flexible (what you can) from the Koran, He knew that (E) sick/diseased will be from you, and others moving (traveling) in the land/Earth wishing/desiring from God's grace/favour/blessing, and others fighting in God's way/path, so read what eased/became flexible from it (what you can), and keep up the prayers, and give/bring the charity/purification, and lend/advance God a good/ beautifulloan/advance, and what you advance/produce for yourselves from goodness/ generosity you find it at God, it is better and greater (in) a reward, and ask God for forgiveness, that truly God (is) forgiving, merciful.443         Inna rabbaka yaAAlamu annaka taqoomu adnamin thuluthayi allayli wanisfahu wathuluthahu wata-ifatun mina allatheena maAAaka waAllahu yuqaddiru allayla waalnnahara AAalima an lan tuhsoohu fataba AAalaykum faiqraoo matayassara mina alqur-ani AAalima an sayakoonu minkum mardawaakharoona yadriboona fee al-ardi yabtaghoona min fadli Allahi waakharoona yuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahi faiqraoo matayassara minhu waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata waaqridoo Allaha qardanhasanan wamatuqaddimoo li-anfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu AAinda Allahi huwa khayran waaAAthama ajran waistaghfiroo Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
