1.  *     O thou wrapped up (in the mantle)!     O you hidden secret.     سورة المدثر  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ ياايها المدثر     You, you the wrapped/covered for warmth in a robe.         Yaayyuhaalmuddaththiru
 
2.  *     Arise and deliver thy warning!     Come out and warn.     قم فانذر     Stand, so warn/give notice.         Qum faanthir
 
3.  *     And thy Lord do thou magnify!     Extol your Lord.     وربك فكبر     And your Lord, so magnify/exalt/revere.         Warabbaka fakabbir
 
4.  *     And thy garments keep free from stain!     Purify your garment.     وثيابك فطهر     And your clothes/garments, so purify/clean.         Wathiyabaka fatahhir
 
5.  *     And all abomination shun!     Forsake what is wrong.     والرجز فاهجر     And the paganism/idol worship/sin, so abandon.         Waalrrujza faohjur
 
6.  *     Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)!     Be content with your lot.     ولاتمنن تستكثر     And do not do a favour and remind of it doing much (repeatedly).         Walatamnun tastakthiru
 
7.  *     But, for thy Lord's (Cause), be patient and constant!     Steadfastly commemorate your Lord.     ولربك فاصبر     And to your Lord, so be patient.         Walirabbika faisbir
 
8.  *     Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded,     Then, when the horn is blown.     فاذا نقر في الناقور     So if the horn/bugle/trumpet was blown in.         Fa-ithanuqira fee alnnaqoori
 
9.  *     That will be- that Day - a Day of Distress,-     That will be a difficult day.     فذلك يومئذ يوم عسير     So that, that day (is) a difficult/distressing day/time.         Fathalika yawma-ithin yawmun AAaseerun
 
10.  *     Far from easy for those without Faith.     For the disbelievers, not easy.     على الكافرين غير يسير     On the disbelievers (it is)not easy.         AAalaalkafireena ghayru yaseerin
 
11.  *     Leave Me alone, (to deal) with the (creature) whom I created (bare and) alone!-     Let Me deal with one I created as an individual.     ذرني ومن خلقت وحيدا     Leave Me and whom I created alone.         Tharnee waman khalaqtu waheedan
 
12.  *     To whom I granted resources in abundance,     I provided him with lots of money.     وجعلت له مالا ممدودا     And I made/put for him extended/spread possessions/property.         WajaAAaltu lahu malan mamdoodan
 
13.  *     And sons to be by his side!-     And children to behold.     وبنين شهودا     And sons and daughters present/testifying.         Wabaneena shuhoodan
 
14.  *     To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable!     I made everything easy for him.     ومهدت له تمهيدا     And I prepared for him preparation.         Wamahhadtu lahu tamheedan
 
15.  *     Yet is he greedy-that I should add (yet more);-     Yet, he is greedy for more.     ثم يطمع ان ازيد     Then he wishes/covets that I increase.         Thumma yatmaAAu an azeeda
 
16.  *     By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory!     He stubbornly refused to accept these proofs.     كلا انه كان لاياتنا عنيدا     No, but he was to Our verses/evidences stubborn/obstinate.         Kallainnahu kana li-ayatinaAAaneedan
 
17.  *     Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities!     I will increasingly punish him.     سارهقه صعودا     I will burden him (with) severity/hardship.         SaorhiquhusaAAoodan
 
18.  *     For he thought and he plotted;-     For he reflected, then decided.     انه فكر وقدر     That he truly thought, and he evaluated/estimated.         Innahu fakkara waqaddara
 
19.  *     And woe to him! How he plotted!-     Miserable is what he decided.     فقتل كيف قدر     So how he evaluated/estimated was killed (punished).         Faqutila kayfa qaddara
 
20.  *     Yea, Woe to him; How he plotted!-     Miserable indeed is what he decided.     ثم قتل كيف قدر     Then was killed (punished) how he evaluated/estimated.         Thumma qutila kayfa qaddara
 
21.  *     Then he looked round;     He looked.     ثم نظر     Then he looked.         Thumma nathara
 
22.  *     Then he frowned and he scowled;     He frowned and whined.     ثم عبس وبسر     Then he frowned, and he frowned/became gloomy.         Thumma AAabasa wabasara
 
23.  *     Then he turned back and was haughty;     Then he turned away arrogantly.     ثم ادبر واستكبر     Then he gave his back and he became arrogant.         Thumma adbara waistakbara
 
24.  *     Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old;     He said, "This is but clever magic!     فقال ان هذا الا سحر يؤثر     So he said: "That truly that (is) except magic/sorcery to be traced (followed/copied)."         Faqala in hathaillasihrun yu\tharu
 
25.  *     "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!"     "This is human made."     ان هذا الا قول البشر     That truly that (is) except the human's word/opinion and belief.         In hathaillaqawlu albashari
 
26.  *     Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire!     I will commit him to retribution.     ساصليه سقر     I will roast/make him suffer Hell.         Saosleehi saqara
 
27.  *     And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is?     What retribution!     وماادراك ماسقر     And what makes you know what Hell (is)?         Wamaadraka masaqaru
 
28.  *     Naught doth it permit to endure, and naught doth it leave alone!-     Thorough and comprehensive.     لاتبقي ولاتذر     (It) does not protect/have mercy, and nor it leaves.         Latubqee walatatharu
 
29.  *     Darkening and changing the colour of man!     Obvious to all the people.     لواحة للبشر     Shrinking/dehydrating due to fire to the human/skin.         Lawwahatun lilbashari
 
30.  *     Over it are Nineteen.     Over it is nineteen.     عليها تسعة عشر     On it (are) nineteen.         AAalayhatisAAata AAashara
 
31.  *     And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this ?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind.     We appointed angels to be guardians of Hell, and we assigned their number (19) (1) to disturb the disbelievers, (2) to convince the Christians and Jews (that this is a divine scripture), (3) to strengthen the faith of the faithful, (4) to remove all traces of doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers, and (5) to expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers; they will say, "What did GOD mean by this allegory?" GOD thus sends astray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. None knows the soldiers of your Lord except He. This is a reminder for the people.     وماجعلنا اصحاب النار الا ملائكة وماجعلنا عدتهم الا فتنة للذين كفروا ليستيقن الذين اوتوا الكتاب ويزداد الذين امنوا ايمانا ولايرتاب الذين اوتوا الكتاب والمؤمنون وليقول الذين في قلوبهم مرض والكافرون ماذا اراد الله بهذا مثلا كذلك يضل الله من يشاء  ويهدي من يشاء ومايعلم جنود ربك الا هو وماهي الا ذكرى للبشر     And We did not make the fire's owners/company (guards) except angels, and We did not make their number/count except (as) a test to those who disbelieved, who were given/brought The Book (Jews and Christians) to be sure/certain, and (for) those who believed (to) increase faith/belief; and (for) those who weregiven The Book (Jews/Christians), and the believers do not become doubtful/suspicious, and (for) those whom in their hearts/minds (is) sickness/disease (doubt), and the disbelievers to say: "What (has) God wanted/intended with that (as) an example/proverb?" As/like that God misguides whom He wills/wants,and He guides whom He wills/wants, and none know your Lord's soldiers/warriors except Him, and it is not except a reminder to the human.         WamajaAAalnaas-haba alnnari illamala-ikatan wamajaAAalnaAAiddatahum illafitnatan lillatheena kafaroo liyastayqina allatheena ootoo alkitaba wayazdada allatheenaamanoo eemanan walayartaba allatheena ootoo alkitaba waalmu\minoona waliyaqoola allatheena fee quloobihim maradun waalkafiroona mathaarada Allahu bihathamathalan kathalika yudillu Allahu man yashao wayahdee man yashao wamayaAAlamu junooda rabbika illahuwa wamahiya illathikralilbashari
 
32.  *     Nay, verily: By the Moon,     Absolutely, (I swear) by the moon.     كلا والقمر     No but and/by the moon.         Kallawaalqamari
 
33.  *     And by the Night as it retreateth,     And the night as it passes.     والليل اذ ادبر     And/by the night when it ended/passed.         Waallayli ithadbara
 
34.  *     And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,-     And the morning as it shines.     والصبح اذا اسفر     And/by morning/day break when it appeared/lit/shined.         Waalssubhi ithaasfara
 
35.  *     This is but one of the mighty (portents),     This is one of the great miracles.     انها لاحدى الكبر     That it truly is one (E) (of) the greatest.         Innahala-ihdaalkubari
 
36.  *     A warning to mankind,-     A warning to the human race.     نذيرا للبشر     A warning/notice to the human.         Natheeran lilbashari
 
37.  *     To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;-     For those among you who wish to advance, or regress.     لمن شاء منكم ان يتقدم او يتاخر     For who from you wanted that to advance/precede or delay/lag behind.         Liman shaa minkum an yataqaddama aw yataakhkhara
 
38.  *     Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds.     Every soul is trapped by its sins.     كل نفس بما كسبت رهينة     Every/each self with what (it) earned/gained/acquired (is) accountable.         Kullu nafsin bimakasabat raheenatun
 
39.  *     Except the Companions of the Right Hand.     Except for those on the right.     الا اصحاب اليمين     Except the right (side's) owners.         Illaas-haba alyameeni
 
40.  *     (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other,     While in Paradise, they will ask.     في جنات يتساءلون     In treed gardens/paradises (are) asking/questioning each other.         Fee jannatin yatasaaloona
 
41.  *     And (ask) of the Sinners:     About the guilty.     عن المجرمين     About the criminals/sinners:         AAani almujrimeena
 
42.  *     "What led you into Hell Fire?"     "What brought you to this retribution?"     ماسلككم في سقر     What made you enter/follow in Hell ?         Masalakakum fee saqara
 
43.  *     They will say: "We were not of those who prayed;     They will say, "We did not observe the contact prayers (Salat).     قالوا لم نك من المصلين     They said: "We were not from praying."         Qaloo lam naku mina almusalleena
 
44.  *     "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent;     "We did not feed the poor.     ولم نك نطعم المسكين     And we were not feeding the poorest of poor/poor oppressed.         Walam naku nutAAimu almiskeena
 
45.  *     "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers;     "We blundered with the blunderers.     وكنا نخوض مع الخائضين     And we were engaging in conversation with the engaging in conversation.         Wakunnanakhoodu maAAa alkha-ideena
 
46.  *     "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment,     "We disbelieved in the Day of Judgment.     وكنا نكذب بيوم الدين     And we were denying with the Judgment Day/Resurrection Day.         Wakunnanukaththibu biyawmi alddeeni
 
47.  *     "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain."     "Until certainty came to us now."     حتى اتانا اليقين     Until the assurance/certainty (death) came to us.         Hattaatanaalyaqeenu
 
48.  *     Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them.     The intercession of the intercessors will never help them.     فما تنفعهم شفاعة الشافعين     So the mediators' mediation does not benefit them.         FamatanfaAAuhum shafaAAatu alshshafiAAeena
 
49.  *     Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?-     Why are they so averse to this reminder?     فمالهم عن التذكرة معرضين     So what (is) for them (they are) from the reminder opposing/objecting.         Famalahum AAani alttathkirati muAArideena
 
50.  *     As if they were affrighted asses,     Running like zebras.     كانهم حمر مستنفرة     As if they are frightened/running away donkeys.         Kaannahumhumurun mustanfiratun
 
51.  *     Fleeing from a lion!     Who are fleeing from the lion!     فرت من قسورة     It escaped/fled from cruelty/a lion.         Farrat min qaswaratin
 
52.  *     Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out!     Does each one of them want to receive the scripture personally?     بل يريد كل امرئ منهم ان يؤتى صحفا منشرة     But every/each human from them wants/intends that he be given/brought written sheets/pages (books/scriptures) spread/publicized.         Bal yureedu kullu imri-in minhum an yu\tasuhufan munashsharatan
 
53.  *     By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter,     Indeed, they do not fear the Hereafter.     كلا بل لايخافون الاخرة     No but they do not fear the end (other life).         Kallabal layakhafoona al-akhirata
 
54.  *     Nay, this surely is an admonition:     Indeed, this is a reminder.     كلا انه تذكرة     No, but that it (the Koran) truly is a reminder.         Kallainnahu tathkiratun
 
55.  *     Let any who will, keep it in remembrance!     For those who wish to take heed.     فمن شاء ذكره     So who wanted/intended remembered it.         Faman shaathakarahu
 
56.  *     But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness.     They cannot take heed against GOD's will. He is the source of righteousness; He is the source of forgiveness.     ومايذكرون الا ان يشاء الله هو اهل التقوى واهل المغفرة     And they do not mention/remember except that God wills/wants, He is worthy/relation (owner of) the fear and obedience, and (He is) worthy/relation (owner of) the forgiveness.445         Wamayathkuroona illaan yashaa Allahu huwa ahlu alttaqwawaahlu almaghfirati
