1.  *     Concerning what are they disputing?     What are they questioning?     سورة النبا  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ عم يتساءلون     About what (do) they ask/question each other?         AAamma yatasaaloona
 
2.  *     Concerning the Great News,     The great event.     عن النبأ العظيم     About the information/news the great.         AAani alnnaba-i alAAatheemi
 
3.  *     About which they cannot agree.     That is disputed by them.     الذي هم فيه مختلفون     Which they are in it differing/disagreeing.         Allathee hum feehi mukhtalifoona
 
4.  *     Verily, they shall soon (come to) know!     Indeed, they will find out.     كلا سيعلمون     No, but they will know.         KallasayaAAlamoona
 
5.  *     Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know!     Most assuredly, they will find out.     ثم كلا سيعلمون     Then no but they will know.         Thumma kallasayaAAlamoona
 
6.  *     Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,     Did we not make the earth habitable?     الم نجعل الارض مهادا     Did We not make the earth/Planet Earth prepared/spread ?         Alam najAAali al-arda mihadan
 
7.  *     And the mountains as pegs?     And the mountains stabilizers?     والجبال اوتادا     And the mountains (as) stakes/hooks (anchors).         Waaljibala awtadan
 
8.  *     And (have We not) created you in pairs,     We created you as mates (for one another).     وخلقناكم ازواجا     And We created you pairs/couples/kinds.         Wakhalaqnakum azwajan
 
9.  *     And made your sleep for rest,     We created sleeping so you can rest.     وجعلنا نومكم سباتا     And We made your sleep rest/tranquil.         WajaAAalnanawmakum subatan
 
10.  *     And made the night as a covering,     We made the night a cover.     وجعلنا الليل لباسا     And We made the night a cover.         WajaAAalnaallayla libasan
 
11.  *     And made the day as a means of subsistence?     And the day to seek provisions.     وجعلنا النهار معاشا     And We made the daytime (for) livelihood/sustenance.         WajaAAalnaalnnahara maAAashan
 
12.  *     And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,     We built above you seven universes.     وبنينا فوقكم سبعا شدادا     And We built/constructed above you seven strong.         Wabanaynafawqakum sabAAan shidadan
 
13.  *     And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour?     We created a bright lamp.     وجعلنا سراجا وهاجا     And We made a lamp glowing/illuminating.         WajaAAalnasirajan wahhajan
 
14.  *     And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance,     We send down from the clouds pouring water.     وانزلنا من المعصرات ماء ثجاجا     And We descended from the raining clouds strongly flowing/pouring water.         Waanzalnamina almuAAsirati maan thajjajan
 
15.  *     That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables,     To produce with it grains and plants.     لنخرج به حبا ونباتا     To bring out with it seeds/grains and plants/growth.         Linukhrija bihihabban wanabatan
 
16.  *     And gardens of luxurious growth?     And various orchards.     وجنات الفافا     And interwoven/encircled treed gardens/paradises.         Wajannatin alfafan
 
17.  *     Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed,     The Day of Decision is appointed.     ان يوم الفصل كان ميقاتا     That truly the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day was an appointed time.         Inna yawma alfasli kana meeqatan
 
18.  *     The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds;     The day the horn is blown, and you come in throngs.     يوم ينفخ في الصور فتاتون افواجا     A day/time the horn/bugle/instrument be blown in, so you come (in) groups/crowds         Yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori fata\toona afwajan
 
19.  *     And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors,     The heaven will be opened like gates.     وفتحت السماء فكانت ابوابا     And the sky/space was opened, so it was/became doors/entrances.         Wafutihati alssamao fakanat abwaban
 
20.  *     And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage.     The mountains will be removed, as if they were a mirage.     وسيرت الجبال فكانت سرابا     And the mountains were made to move, so it was/became a mirage.         Wasuyyirati aljibalu fakanat saraban
 
21.  *     Truly Hell is as a place of ambush,     Gehenna is inevitable.     ان جهنم كانت مرصادا     That truly Hell was/is an observatory/ambuscade.         Inna jahannama kanat mirsadan
 
22.  *     For the transgressors a place of destination:     For the transgressors; it will be their abode.     للطاغين مابا     For the tyrants a return.         Lilttagheena maaban
 
23.  *     They will dwell therein for ages.     They stay in it for ages.     لابثين فيها احقابا     Remaining/waiting in it long periods of time/centuries.         Labitheena feehaahqaban
 
24.  *     Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink,     They never taste in it coolness, nor a drink.     لايذوقون فيها بردا ولاشرابا     They do not taste/experience in it cold/cool and nor a drink.         Layathooqoona feehabardan walasharaban
 
25.  *     Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold,     Only an inferno, and bitter food.     الا حميما وغساقا     Except hot water/sweat and decayed/rotten.         Illahameeman waghassaqan
 
26.  *     A fitting recompense (for them).     A just requital.     جزاء وفاقا     A suiting/fitting reimbursement.         Jazaan wifaqan
 
27.  *     For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds),     They never expected to be held accountable.     انهم كانوا لايرجون حسابا     That, they truly were not hoping/expecting counting/calculation.         Innahum kanoo layarjoonahisaban
 
28.  *     But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.     And utterly rejected our signs.     وكذبوا باياتنا كذابا     And they lied/denied/falsified with Our verses/evidences lying/denying/falsifying.         Wakaththaboo bi-ayatinakiththaban
 
29.  *     And all things have We preserved on record.     We counted everything in a record.     وكل شئ احصيناه كتابا     And every thing We counted/computed it (in) a Book/judgment.         Wakulla shay-in ahsaynahu kitaban
 
30.  *     "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment."     Suffer the consequences; we will only increase your retribution.     فذوقوا فلن نزيدكم الا عذابا     So taste/experience, so We will never/not increase you except torture.         Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illaAAathaban
 
31.  *     Verily for the Righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the heart's) desires;     The righteous have deserved a reward.     ان للمتقين مفازا     That truly to the fearing and obeying (is) a success/triumph.         Inna lilmuttaqeena mafazan
 
32.  *     Gardens enclosed, and grapevines;     Orchards and grapes.     حدائق واعنابا     Fenced gardens and grapes.         Hada-iqa waaAAnaban
 
33.  *     Companions of equal age;     Magnificent spouses.     وكواعب اترابا     And full grown breasts and same age/not aging.         WakawaAAiba atraban
 
34.  *     And a cup full (to the brim).     Delicious drinks.     وكاسا دهاقا     And a cup filled to the rim.         Waka\san dihaqan
 
35.  *     No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-     They will never hear in it any nonsense or lies.     لايسمعون فيها لغوا ولا كذابا     They do not hear/listen in it nonsense/senseless talk and nor lying.         LayasmaAAoona feehalaghwan walakiththaban
 
36.  *     Recompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient,     A reward from your Lord; a generous recompense.     جزاء من ربك عطاء حسابا     Reimbursement from your Lord a gift/grant account.         Jazaan min rabbika AAataanhisaban
 
37.  *     (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, ((Allah)) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him.     Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. The Most Gracious. No one can abrogate His decisions.     رب السماوات والارض ومابينهما الرحمن لايملكون منه خطابا     The skies'/space's and the earth's/Planet Earth's and what (is) between them (B)'s Lord, the merciful, they do not own/possess from Him an address/conversation (they can not talk to Him).         Rabbi alssamawati waal-ardi wamabaynahumaalrrahmani layamlikoona minhu khitaban
 
38.  *     The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by ((Allah)) Most Gracious, and He will say what is right.     The day will come when the Spirit and the angels will stand in a row. None will speak except those permitted by the Most Gracious, and they will utter only what is right.     يوم يقوم الروح والملائكة صفا لايتكلمون الا من اذن له الرحمن وقال صوابا     A day/time the Soul/Spirit and the angels stand (in) a row/arranged, they do not speak/talk,except who the merciful permitted/allowed for him, and he said right/correct.         Yawma yaqoomu alrroohu waalmala-ikatusaffan layatakallamoona illaman athina lahu alrrahmanu waqalasawaban
 
39.  *     That Day will be the sure Reality: Therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord!     Such is the inevitable day. Whoever wills let him take refuge in his Lord.     ذلك اليوم الحق فمن شاء اتخذ الى ربه مابا     That (is) the day/time, the real/true/just, so who willed/wanted took/received to his Lord a return.         Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu faman shaa ittakhatha ilarabbihi maaban
 
40.  *     Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust!"     We have sufficiently warned you about an imminent retribution. That is the day when everyone will examine what his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish I were dust."     انا انذرناكم عذابا قريبا يوم ينظر المرء ماقدمت يداه ويقول الكافر ياليتني كنت ترابا     We (E), We warned/gave you notice of (a) near/close torture, a day/time the human/man looks (to) what his two hands advanced/undertook, and the disbeliever says: "Oh, if only I was dust/earth."454         Innaantharnakum AAathaban qareeban yawma yanthuru almaro maqaddamat yadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru yalaytanee kuntu turaban
