1.  *     Woe to those that deal in fraud,-     Woe to the cheaters.     سورة المطففين بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ ويل للمطففين     Calamity/scandal to the ones giving insufficient or deficient measures.         Waylun lilmutaffifeena
 
2.  *     Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure,     Who demand full measure when receiving from the people.     الذين اذا اكتالوا على الناس يستوفون     Those who if they took by measure or weight for themselves on (from) the people, they fulfill/complete (the measure or weight).         Allatheena ithaiktaloo AAalaalnnasi yastawfoona
 
3.  *     But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.     But when giving them the measures or weights, they cheat.     واذا كالوهم او وزنوهم يخسرون     And if they measured/weighed for them or they weighed/measured for them, they reduce/decrease (cheat).         Wa-ithakaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona
 
4.  *     Do they not think that they will be called to account?-     Do they not know that they will be resurrected?     الايظن اولئك انهم مبعوثون     Do those not think/assume that they are being resurrected/revived?         Alayathunnu ola-ika annahum mabAAoothoona
 
5.  *     On a Mighty Day,     On a tremendous day?     ليوم عظيم     To a great day/time?         Liyawmin AAatheemin
 
6.  *     A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?     That is the day when all people will stand before the Lord of the universe.     يوم يقوم الناس لرب العالمين     A day/time the people stand to the creations all together's/(universes') Lord.         Yawma yaqoomu alnnasu lirabbi alAAalameena
 
7.  *     Day! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin.     Indeed, the book of the wicked is in Sijjeen.     كلا ان كتاب الفجار لفي سجين     No but that truly the debauchers'/corrupters' Book/judgment (is) in (E) Sijjin.         Kallainna kitaba alfujjari lafee sijjeenin
 
8.  *     And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is?     Do you know what Sijjeen is?     وماادراك ماسجين     And what made you know/informed you what (is) Sijjin ?         Wamaadraka masijjeenun
 
9.  *     (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed.     A numerically structured book.     كتاب مرقوم     A written/branded/inscribed Book.         Kitabun marqoomun
 
10.  *     Woe, that Day, to those that deny-     Woe on that day to the rejectors.     ويل يومئذ للمكذبين     Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.         Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
 
11.  *     Those that deny the Day of Judgment.     They do not believe in the Day of Judgment.     الذين يكذبون بيوم الدين     Those who lie/deny/falsify with the Judgment Day/Resurrection Day.         Allatheena yukaththiboona biyawmi alddeeni
 
12.  *     And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner!     None disbelieves therein except the transgressor, the sinful.     ومايكذب به الا كل معتد اثيم     And none lies/denies/falsifiers with it except every/each transgressor/violator, sinner/criminal.         Wamayukaththibu bihi illakullu muAAtadin atheemin
 
13.  *     When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!"     When our revelations are recited to him, he says, "Tales from the past!"     اذا تتلى عليه اياتنا قال اساطير الاولين     When/if Our verses/evidences are read/recited on him he said: "The first's/beginner's myths/baseless stories."         IthatutlaAAalayhiayatunaqala asateeru al-awwaleena
 
14.  *     By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do!     Indeed, their hearts have become shielded by their sins.     كلا بل ران على قلوبهم ماكانوا يكسبون     No but, rather (it) dominated/overwhelmed on their hearts/minds, what they were gaining/acquiring.         Kallabal rana AAalaquloobihim makanoo yaksiboona
 
15.  *     Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled.     Indeed, they will be isolated, on that day, from their Lord.     كلا انهم عن ربهم يومئذ لمحجوبون     No but, that they truly are from their Lord (on) that day being prevented (E).         Kallainnahum AAan rabbihim yawma-ithin lamahjooboona
 
16.  *     Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell.     Then they will be thrown into Hell.     ثم انهم لصالوا الجحيم     Then that they truly are entering into the fire/roasting (E) the Hell.         Thumma innahum lasaloo aljaheemi
 
17.  *     Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false!     They will be told, "This is what you used to deny."     ثم يقال هذا الذي كنتم به تكذبون     Then (it) will be said: "That (is) what you were with it lying/denying/falsifying."         Thumma yuqalu hathaallathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
 
18.  *     Day, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin.     Indeed, the book of the righteous will be in `Elleyyeen.     كلا ان كتاب الابرار لفي عليين     No but, that truly the righteous'/charitable' Book/judgment (is) in (E) Eley'yeen/height/elevation.         Kallainna kitaba al-abrari lafee AAilliyyeena
 
19.  *     And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is?     Do you know what `Elleyyeen is?     وماادراك ماعليون     And what made you know/informed you what (is) Eley'yoon/highest places ?         Wamaadraka maAAilliyyoona
 
20.  *     (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed,     A numerically structured book.     كتاب مرقوم     A written/branded/inscribed Book.         Kitabun marqoomun
 
21.  *     To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah..     To be witnessed by those close to Me.     يشهده المقربون     The neared/closer witness it.         Yashhaduhu almuqarraboona
 
22.  *     Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss:     The righteous have deserved bliss.     ان الابرار لفي نعيم     That truly the righteous/charitable (are) in (E) blessing/goodness.         Inna al-abrara lafee naAAeemin
 
23.  *     On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things):     On luxurious furnishings they watch.     على الارائك ينظرون     On the luxurious beds/couches they look/watch.         AAalaal-ara-iki yanthuroona
 
24.  *     Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.     You recognize in their faces the joy of bliss.     تعرف في وجوههم نضرة النعيم     You know in their faces/fronts the blessing's/goodness' beauty and goodness (brightness).         TaAArifu fee wujoohihim nadrata alnnaAAeemi
 
25.  *     Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:     Their drinks will be spiced with nectar.     يسقون من رحيق مختوم     They are being given water/drink from sealed/completed pure nectar.         Yusqawna min raheeqin makhtoomin
 
26.  *     The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:     Its spice is like musk. This is what the competitors should compete for.     ختامه مسك وفي ذلك فليتنافس المتنافسون     Its end/conclusion (is) musk/fragrance, and in (for) that so the competitors/rivals should compete/rival.         Khitamuhu miskun wafeethalika falyatanafasi almutanafisoona
 
27.  *     With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim:     Mixed into it will be special flavors.     ومزاجه من تسنيم     And its mixture/blend (is) from paradises' valuable water.         Wamizajuhu min tasneemin
 
28.  *     A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to Allah.     From a spring that is reserved for those close to Me.     عينا يشرب بها المقربون     A water spring/well, the neared/closer drink by (near) it.         AAaynan yashrabu bihaalmuqarraboona
 
29.  *     Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed,     The wicked used to laugh at those who believed.     ان الذين اجرموا كانوا من الذين امنوا يضحكون     That truly those who committed crimes/sins were laughing/wondering from (about) those who believed.         Inna allatheena ajramoo kanoo mina allatheenaamanoo yadhakoona
 
30.  *     And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery);     When they passed by them, they used to poke fun.     واذا مروا بهم يتغامزون     And when/if they passed by them, they signal/wink to each other.         Wa-ithamarroo bihim yataghamazoona
 
31.  *     And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;     When they got together with their people, they used to joke.     واذا انقلبوا الى اهلهم انقلبوا فكهين     And when/if they returned to their people/family, they returned enjoying/humorous.         Wa-ithainqalaboo ilaahlihimu inqalaboo fakiheena
 
32.  *     And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!"     Whenever they saw them, they said, "These people are far astray!     واذا راوهم قالوا ان هؤلاء لضالون     And when/if they saw them they said: "That truly, those are misguided (E)."         Wa-itharaawhum qaloo inna haola-i ladalloona
 
33.  *     But they had not been sent as keepers over them!     "They have no such thing as (invisible) guards."     وماارسلوا عليهم حافظين     And they were not sent on them protecting/observing.         Wamaorsiloo AAalayhimhafitheena
 
34.  *     But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers:     Today, those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers.     فاليوم الذين امنوا من الكفار يضحكون     So the day/today those who believed are laughing/wondering from (about) the disbelievers.         Faalyawma allatheenaamanoo mina alkuffari yadhakoona
 
35.  *     On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things).     On luxurious furnishings they watch.     على الارائك ينظرون     On the luxurious beds/couches they (are) looking/watching.         AAalaal-ara-iki yanthuroona
 
36.  *     Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did?     Most assuredly, the disbelievers are requited for what they did.     هل ثوب الكفار ماكانوا يفعلون     Did the disbelievers become rewarded/replaced what they were making/doing ?462         Hal thuwwiba alkuffaru makanoo yafAAaloona
