1.  *     When the sky is rent asunder,     The time will come when the sky is ruptured.     سورة الانشقاق  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ اذا السماء انشقت     When/if the sky/space split/cracked.         Ithaalssamao inshaqqat
 
2.  *     And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);-     It will submit to its Lord and expire.     واذنت لربها وحقت     And listened/heard (obeyed) to its Lord, and became certain/fact/deserved.         Waathinat lirabbihawahuqqat
 
3.  *     And when the earth is flattened out,     The earth will be leveled.     واذا الارض مدت     And when/if the earth/Planet Earth was extended/spread.         Wa-ithaal-ardu muddat
 
4.  *     And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty,     It will eject its contents, as it erupts.     والقت مافيها وتخلت     And it threw what (is) in it, and became free.         Waalqat mafeehawatakhallat
 
5.  *     And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality).     It will submit to its Lord and expire.     واذنت لربها وحقت     And listened/heard (obeyed) to its Lord and became certain/fact/deserved.         Waathinat lirabbihawahuqqat
 
6.  *     O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord- painfully toiling,- but thou shalt meet Him.     O humans, you are irreversibly heading for a meeting with your Lord.     ياايها الانسان انك كادح الى ربك كدحا فملاقيه     You, you the human/mankind, that you truly are exerting/labouring/toiling to your Lord exertion/labour/toil, so you (are) receiving/meeting Him.         Yaayyuhaal-insanu innaka kadihun ilarabbika kadhan famulaqeehi
 
7.  *     Then he who is given his Record in his right hand,     As for the one who receives his record in his right hand,     فاما من اوتي كتابه بيمينه     So but who was given/brought his Book/judgment with his right (hand).         Faamaman ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi
 
8.  *     Soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning,     His reckoning will be easy.     فسوف يحاسب حسابا يسيرا     So he will be counted/calculated (with an) easy account/calculation.         Fasawfa yuhasabuhisaban yaseeran
 
9.  *     And he will turn to his people, rejoicing!     He will return to his people joyfully.     وينقلب الى اهله مسرورا     And he returns to his family/people delighted/happy.         Wayanqalibu ilaahlihi masrooran
 
10.  *     But he who is given his Record behind his back,-     As for the one who receives his record behind his back,     واما من اوتي كتابه وراء ظهره     And but who was given/brought his Book/judgment behind his back.         Waammaman ootiya kitabahu waraathahrihi
 
11.  *     Soon will he cry for perdition,     He will be ridden with remorse.     فسوف يدعو ثبورا     So he will call (for) destruction and grief.         Fasawfa yadAAoo thubooran
 
12.  *     And he will enter a Blazing Fire.     And will burn in Hell.     ويصلى سعيرا     And he suffers/burns blazing/inflaming (punishment).         WayaslasaAAeeran
 
13.  *     Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing!     He used to act arrogantly among his people.     انه كان في اهله مسرورا     That he truly was in his family/people delighted/happy.         Innahu kana fee ahlihi masrooran
 
14.  *     Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)!     He thought that he will never be called to account.     انه ظن ان لن يحور     That he truly thought/assumed that (E) he will never/not return.         Innahuthanna an lan yahoora
 
15.  *     Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him!     Yes indeed, his Lord was Seer of him.     بلى ان ربه كان به بصيرا     Yes/certainly, that truly his Lord was seeing/knowing with (of) him.         Balainna rabbahu kana bihi baseeran
 
16.  *     So I do call to witness the ruddy glow of Sunset;     I solemnly swear by the rosy dusk.     فلا اقسم بالشفق     So I do not swear/make oath with the twilight.         Falaoqsimu bialshshafaqi
 
17.  *     The Night and its Homing;     And the night as it spreads.     والليل وماوسق     And the night, and what carried/gathered/loaded.         Waallayli wamawasaqa
 
18.  *     And the Moon in her fullness:     And the moon and its phases.     والقمر اذا اتسق     And the moon when/if it organized/evened/gathered.         Waalqamari ithaittasaqa
 
19.  *     Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage.     You will move from stage to stage     لتركبن طبقا عن طبق     You will ride/embark (E) a stage/layer/cover from/of/on a stage/layer/cover (they move from one state to another i.e. birth to death).         Latarkabunnatabaqan AAantabaqin
 
20.  *     What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?-     Why do they not believe?     فمالهم لايؤمنون     So why (is it) for them, they do not believe?         Famalahum layu\minoona
 
21.  *     And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate,     And when the Quran is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate.     واذا قرئ عليهم القران لايسجدون     And when/if the Koran is read on them they, they do not prostrate?         Wa-ithaquri-a AAalayhimu alqur-anu layasjudoona
 
22.  *     But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it).     This is because those who disbelieved are rejecting (the Quran).     بل الذين كفروا يكذبون     But those who disbelieved they lie/deny/falsify.         Bali allatheena kafaroo yukaththiboona
 
23.  *     But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts)     GOD is fully aware of their innermost thoughts.     والله اعلم بما يوعون     And God (is) more knowing with what they comprehend/perceive/accept.         WaAllahu aAAlamu bimayooAAoona
 
24.  *     So announce to them a Penalty Grievous,     Promise them painful retribution.     فبشرهم بعذاب اليم     So announce good news to them with (of) a painful torture.         Fabashshirhum biAAathabin aleemin
 
25.  *     Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail.     As for those who believed and led a righteous life, they receive a recompense that is well-deserved.     الا الذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات لهم اجر غير ممنون     Except those who believed and made/did the correct/righteous deeds, for them (is) a reward not obligated/interrupted         Illaallatheenaamanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoonin
