Have We not expanded thee thy breast?-
|
|
Did we not cool your temper?
|
|
سورة الانشراح بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ الم نشرح لك صدرك
|
|
Did We not delight/expand your chest (innermost)?
|
|
|
|
Alam nashrahlakasadraka
|

| 2. * |
And removed from thee thy burden
|
|
And we unloaded your load (of sins).
|
|
ووضعنا عنك وزرك
|
|
And We raised from you your sin/load/burden.
|
|
|
|
WawadaAAnaAAanka wizraka
|
| |
| 3. * |
The which did gall thy back?-
|
|
One that burdened your back.
|
|
الذي انقض ظهرك
|
|
Which weighed heavily (on)/burdened your back.
|
|
|
|
Allathee anqadathahraka
|
| |
| 4. * |
And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)?
|
|
We exalted you to an honorable position.
|
|
ورفعنا لك ذكرك
|
|
And We raised for you your memory/reputation.
|
|
|
|
WarafaAAnalakathikraka
|
| |
| 5. * |
So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief:
|
|
With pain there is gain.
|
|
فان مع العسر يسرا
|
|
So that truly with the difficulty/hardship (is) ease/flexibility.
|
|
|
|
Fa-inna maAAa alAAusri yusran
|
| |
| 6. * |
Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.
|
|
Indeed, with pain there is gain.
|
|

|
|
That truly with the difficulty/hardship (is) ease/flexibility.
|
|
|
|
Inna maAAa alAAusri yusran
|
| |
| 7. * |
Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard,
|
|
Whenever possible you shall strive.
|
|
فاذا فرغت فانصب
|
|
So when/if you finished/ended/completed, so work hard/fatigue.
|
|
|
|
Fa-ithafaraghta fainsab
|
| |
| 8. * |
And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention.
|
|
Seeking only your Lord.
|
|
والى ربك فارغب
|
|
And to your Lord, so wish/desire.
|
|
|
|
Wa-ilarabbika fairghab
|
