By those who range themselves in ranks,
|
|
The arrangers in columns.
|
|
سورة الصافات بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ والصافات صفا

swr+ alSafat bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? walSafat Sfa
|
|
2. * |
And so are strong in repelling (evil),
|
|
The blamers of those to be blamed.
|
|
فالزاجرات زجرا
|
|
falzajrat zjra
|
|
3. * |
And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah.!
|
|
The reciters of the messages.
|
|
فالتاليات ذكرا
|
|
faltalyat Xkra
|
|
4. * |
Verily, verily, your Allah is one!-
|
|
Your god is only one.
|
|
ان الهكم لواحد
|
|
an alhkm lwaHd
|
|
5. * |
Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun!
|
|
The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, and Lord of the easts.
|
|
رب السماوات والارض ومابينهما ورب المشارق
|
|
rb alsmawat walarD wmabynhma wrb alm$arq
|
|
6. * |
We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,-
|
|
We have adorned the lowest heaven with adorning planets.
|
|
انا زينا السماء الدنيا بزينة الكواكب
|
|
ana zyna alsma' aldnya bzyn+ alkwakb
|
|
7. * |
(For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits,
|
|
We guarded it from every evil devil.
|
|
وحفظا من كل شيطان مارد
|
|
wHfZa mn kl $yTan mard
|
|
8. * |
(So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side,
|
|
They cannot spy on the High Society; they get bombarded from every side.
|
|
لايسمعون الى الملا الاعلى ويقذفون من كل جانب
|
|
laysm`wn ali almla ala`li wyqXfwn mn kl janb
|
|
9. * |
Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty,
|
|
They have been condemned; they have incurred an eternal retribution.
|
|
دحورا ولهم عذاب واصب
|
|
dHwra wlhm `Xab waSb
|
|
10. * |
Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness.
|
|
If any of them ventures to charge the outer limits, he gets struck with a fierce projectile.
|
|
الا من خطف الخطفة فاتبعه شهاب ثاقب
|
|
ala mn KTf alKTf+ fatb`h $hab xaqb
|
|
11. * |
Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay!
|
|
Ask them, "Are they more difficult to create, or the other creations?" We created them from wet mud.
|
|
فاستفتهم اهم اشد خلقا ام من خلقنا انا خلقناهم من طين لازب
|
|
fastfthm ahm a$d Klqa am mn Klqna ana Klqnahm mn Tyn lazb
|
|
12. * |
Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule,
|
|
While you are awed, they mock.
|
|
بل عجبت ويسخرون
|
|
bl `jbt wysKrwn
|
|
13. * |
And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,-
|
|
When reminded, they take no heed.
|
|
واذا ذكروا لايذكرون
|
|
waXa Xkrwa layXkrwn
|
|
14. * |
And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery,
|
|
When they see proof, they ridicule it.
|
|
واذا راوا اية يستسخرون
|
|
waXa rawa ay+ ystsKrwn
|
|
15. * |
And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery!
|
|
They say, "This is obviously magic!
|
|
وقالوا ان هذا الا سحر مبين
|
|
wqalwa an hXa ala sHr mbyn
|
|
16. * |
"What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again)
|
|
"After we die and become dust and bones, do we get resurrected?
|
|
ءاذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما ائنا لمبعوثون
|
|
'aXa mtna wkna traba w`Zama aYna lmb`wxwn
|
|
17. * |
"And also our fathers of old?"
|
|
"Even our ancient ancestors?"
|
|
او اباؤنا الاولون
|
|
aw abaWna alawlwn
|
|
18. * |
Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)."
|
|
Say, "Yes, you will be forcibly summoned."
|
|
قل نعم وانتم داخرون
|
|
ql n`m wantm daKrwn
|
|
19. * |
Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see!
|
|
All it takes is one nudge, whereupon they (stand up) looking.
|
|
فانما هي زجرة واحدة فاذا هم ينظرون
|
|
fanma hy zjr+ waHd+ faXa hm ynZrwn
|
|
20. * |
They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!"
|
|
They will say, "Woe to us; this is the Day of Judgment."
|
|
وقالوا ياويلنا هذا يوم الدين
|
|
wqalwa yawylna hXa ywm aldyn
|
|
21. * |
(A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!"
|
|
This is the day of decision that you used to disbelieve in.
|
|
هذا يوم الفصل الذي كنتم به تكذبون
|
|
hXa ywm alfSl alXy kntm bh tkXbwn
|
|
22. * |
"Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped-
|
|
Summon the transgressors, and their spouses, and the idols they worshiped
|
|
احشروا الذين ظلموا وازواجهم وماكانوا يعبدون
|
|
aH$rwa alXyn Zlmwa wazwajhm wmakanwa y`bdwn
|
|
23. * |
"Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire!
|
|
beside GOD, and guide them to the path of Hell.
|
|
من دون الله فاهدوهم الى صراط الجحيم
|
|
mn dwn allh fahdwhm ali SraT aljHym
|
|
24. * |
"But stop them, for they must be asked:
|
|
Stop them, and ask them:
|
|
وقفوهم انهم مسؤولون
|
|
wqfwhm anhm msWwlwn
|
|
25. * |
"'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'"
|
|
"Why do you not help one another?"
|
|
مالكم لاتناصرون
|
|
malkm latnaSrwn
|
|
26. * |
Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment);
|
|
They will be, on that day, totally submitting.
|
|
بل هم اليوم مستسلمون
|
|
bl hm alywm mstslmwn
|
|
27. * |
And they will turn to one another, and question one another.
|
|
They will come to each other, questioning and blaming one another.
|
|
واقبل بعضهم على بعض يتساءلون
|
|
waqbl b`Dhm `li b`D ytsa'lwn
|
|
28. * |
They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!"
|
|
They will say (to their leaders), "You used to come to us from the right side."
|
|
قالوا انكم كنتم تاتوننا عن اليمين
|
|
qalwa ankm kntm tatwnna `n alymyn
|
|
29. * |
They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith!
|
|
They will respond, "It is you who were not believers.
|
|
قالوا بل لم تكونوا مؤمنين
|
|
qalwa bl lm tkwnwa mWmnyn
|
|
30. * |
"Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion!
|
|
"We never had any power over you; it is you who were wicked.
|
|
وماكان لنا عليكم من سلطان بل كنتم قوما طاغين
|
|
wmakan lna `lykm mn slTan bl kntm qwma TaGyn
|
|
31. * |
"So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins).
|
|
"We justly incurred our Lord's judgment; now we have to suffer.
|
|
فحق علينا قول ربنا انا لذائقون
|
|
fHq `lyna qwl rbna ana lXaYqwn
|
|
32. * |
"We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray."
|
|
"We misled you, only because we were astray."
|
|
فاغويناكم انا كنا غاوين
|
|
faGwynakm ana kna Gawyn
|
|
33. * |
Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty.
|
|
Thus, together they will all partake of the retribution on that day.
|
|
فانهم يومئذ في العذاب مشتركون
|
|
fanhm ywmYX fy al`Xab m$trkwn
|
|
34. * |
Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners.
|
|
This is how we requite the guilty.
|
|
انا كذلك نفعل بالمجرمين
|
|
ana kXlk nf`l balmjrmyn
|
|
35. * |
For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride,
|
|
When they were told, "Laa Elaaha Ella Allah [There is no other god beside GOD]," they turned arrogant.
|
|
انهم كانوا اذا قيل لهم لااله الا الله يستكبرون
|
|
anhm kanwa aXa qyl lhm laalh ala allh ystkbrwn
|
|
36. * |
And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?"
|
|
They said, "Shall we leave our gods for the sake of a crazy poet?"
|
|
ويقولون ائنا لتاركوا الهتنا لشاعر مجنون
|
|
wyqwlwn aYna ltarkwa alhtna l$a`r mjnwn
|
|
37. * |
Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the apostles (before him).
|
|
In fact, he has brought the truth, and has confirmed the messengers.
|
|
بل جاء بالحق وصدق المرسلين
|
|
bl ja' balHq wSdq almrslyn
|
|
38. * |
Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;-
|
|
Most assuredly, you will taste the most painful retribution.
|
|
انكم لذائقوا العذاب الاليم
|
|
ankm lXaYqwa al`Xab alalym
|
|
39. * |
But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;-
|
|
You are requited only for what you have done.
|
|
وماتجزون الا ماكنتم تعملون
|
|
wmatjzwn ala makntm t`mlwn
|
|
40. * |
But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,-
|
|
Only GOD's servants who are absolutely devoted to Him alone (will be saved).
|
|
الا عباد الله المخلصين
|
|
ala `bad allh almKlSyn
|
|
41. * |
For them is a Sustenance determined,
|
|
They have deserved provisions that are reserved specifically for them.
|
|
اولئك لهم رزق معلوم
|
|
awlYk lhm rzq m`lwm
|
|
42. * |
Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity,
|
|
All kinds of fruits. They will be honored.
|
|
فواكه وهم مكرمون
|
|
fwakh whm mkrmwn
|
|
43. * |
In Gardens of Felicity,
|
|
In the gardens of bliss.
|
|
في جنات النعيم
|
|
fy jnat aln`ym
|
|
44. * |
Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity):
|
|
On furnishings close to one another.
|
|
على سرر متقابلين
|
|
`li srr mtqablyn
|
|
45. * |
Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain,
|
|
Cups of pure drinks will be offered to them.
|
|
يطاف عليهم بكاس من معين
|
|
yTaf `lyhm bkas mn m`yn
|
|
46. * |
Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof),
|
|
Clear and delicious for the drinkers.
|
|
بيضاء لذة للشاربين
|
|
byDa' lX+ ll$arbyn
|
|
47. * |
Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom.
|
|
Never polluted, and never exhausted.
|
|
لافيها غول ولاهم عنها ينزفون
|
|
lafyha Gwl wlahm `nha ynzfwn
|
|
48. * |
And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty).
|
|
With them will be wonderful companions.
|
|
وعندهم قاصرات الطرف عين
|
|
w`ndhm qaSrat alTrf `yn
|
|
49. * |
As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded.
|
|
Protected like fragile eggs.
|
|
كانهن بيض مكنون
|
|
kanhn byD mknwn
|
|
50. * |
Then they will turn to one another and question one another.
|
|
They will come to each other, and confer with one another.
|
|
فاقبل بعضهم على بعض يتساءلون
|
|
faqbl b`Dhm `li b`D ytsa'lwn
|
|
51. * |
One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth),
|
|
One of them will say, "I used to have a friend.
|
|
قال قائل منهم اني كان لي قرين
|
|
qal qaYl mnhm any kan ly qryn
|
|
52. * |
"Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)?
|
|
"He used to mock: `Do you believe all this?
|
|
يقول ائنك لمن المصدقين
|
|
yqwl aYnk lmn almSdqyn
|
|
53. * |
"'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'"
|
|
" `After we die and turn into dust and bones, do we get called to account?' "
|
|
ءاذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما ائنا لمدينون
|
|
'aXa mtna wkna traba w`Zama aYna lmdynwn
|
|
54. * |
(A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?"
|
|
He will say, "Just take a look!"
|
|
قال هل انتم مطلعون
|
|
qal hl antm mTl`wn
|
|
55. * |
He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire.
|
|
When he looks, he will see his friend in the heart of Hell.
|
|
فاطلع فراه في سواء الجحيم
|
|
faTl` frah fy swa' aljHym
|
|
56. * |
He said: "By Allah. thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition!
|
|
He (will go to him and) say, "By GOD, you almost ruined me.
|
|
قال تالله ان كدت لتردين
|
|
qal tallh an kdt ltrdyn
|
|
57. * |
"Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)!
|
|
"If it were not for my Lord's blessing, I would have been with you now.
|
|
ولولا نعمة ربي لكنت من المحضرين
|
|
wlwla n`m+ rby lknt mn almHDryn
|
|
58. * |
"Is it (the case) that we shall not die,
|
|
"(Do you still believe) that we die,
|
|
افما نحن بميتين
|
|
afma nHn bmytyn
|
|
59. * |
"Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?"
|
|
"only the first death, and we never receive any requital?"
|
|
الا موتتنا الاولى ومانحن بمعذبين
|
|
ala mwttna alawli wmanHn bm`Xbyn
|
|
60. * |
Verily this is the supreme achievement!
|
|
Such is the greatest triumph.
|
|
ان هذا لهو الفوز العظيم
|
|
an hXa lhw alfwz al`Zym
|
|
61. * |
For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive.
|
|
This is what every worker should work for.
|
|
لمثل هذا فليعمل العاملون
|
|
lmxl hXa fly`ml al`amlwn
|
|
62. * |
Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum?
|
|
Is this a better destiny, or the tree of bitterness?
|
|
اذلك خير نزلا ام شجرة الزقوم
|
|
aXlk Kyr nzla am $jr+ alzqwm
|
|
63. * |
For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers.
|
|
We have rendered it a punishment for the transgressors.
|
|
انا جعلناها فتنة للظالمين
|
|
ana j`lnaha ftn+ llZalmyn
|
|
64. * |
For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire:
|
|
It is a tree that grows in the heart of Hell.
|
|
انها شجرة تخرج في اصل الجحيم
|
|
anha $jr+ tKrj fy aSl aljHym
|
|
65. * |
The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils:
|
|
Its flowers look like the devils' heads.
|
|
طلعها كانه رؤوس الشياطين
|
|
Tl`ha kanh rWws al$yaTyn
|
|
66. * |
Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith.
|
|
They will eat from it until their bellies are filled up.
|
|
فانهم لاكلون منها فمالئون منها البطون
|
|
fanhm laklwn mnha fmalYwn mnha albTwn
|
|
67. * |
Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water.
|
|
Then they will top it with a hellish drink.
|
|
ثم ان لهم عليها لشوبا من حميم
|
|
xm an lhm `lyha l$wba mn Hmym
|
|
68. * |
Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire.
|
|
Then they will return to Hell.
|
|
ثم ان مرجعهم لإلى الجحيم
|
|
xm an mrj`hm lIli aljHym
|
|
69. * |
Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path;
|
|
They found their parents astray.
|
|
انهم الفوا اباءهم ضالين
|
|
anhm alfwa aba'hm Dalyn
|
|
70. * |
So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps!
|
|
And they blindly followed in their footsteps.
|
|
فهم على اثارهم يهرعون
|
|
fhm `li axarhm yhr`wn
|
|
71. * |
And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;-
|
|
Most of the previous generations have strayed in the same manner.
|
|
ولقد ضل قبلهم اكثر الاولين
|
|
wlqd Dl qblhm akxr alawlyn
|
|
72. * |
But We sent aforetime, among them, (apostles) to admonish them;-
|
|
We have sent to them warners.
|
|
ولقد ارسلنا فيهم منذرين
|
|
wlqd arslna fyhm mnXryn
|
|
73. * |
Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),-
|
|
Note the consequences for those who have been warned.
|
|
فانظر كيف كان عاقبة المنذرين
|
|
fanZr kyf kan `aqb+ almnXryn
|
|
74. * |
Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah.
|
|
Only GOD's servants who are absolutely devoted to Him alone (are saved).
|
|
الا عباد الله المخلصين
|
|
ala `bad allh almKlSyn
|
|
75. * |
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer.
|
|
Thus, Noah called upon us, and we were the best responders.
|
|
ولقد نادانا نوح فلنعم المجيبون
|
|
wlqd nadana nwH fln`m almjybwn
|
|
76. * |
And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity,
|
|
We saved him and his family from the great disaster.
|
|
ونجيناه واهله من الكرب العظيم
|
|
wnjynah wahlh mn alkrb al`Zym
|
|
77. * |
And made his progeny to endure (on this earth);
|
|
We made his companions the survivors.
|
|
وجعلنا ذريته هم الباقين
|
|
wj`lna Xryth hm albaqyn
|
|
78. * |
And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times:
|
|
And we preserved his history for subsequent generations.
|
|
وتركنا عليه في الاخرين
|
|
wtrkna `lyh fy alaKryn
|
|
79. * |
"Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!"
|
|
Peace be upon Noah among the peoples.
|
|
سلام على نوح في العالمين
|
|
slam `li nwH fy al`almyn
|
|
80. * |
Thus indeed do we reward those who do right.
|
|
We thus reward the righteous.
|
|
انا كذلك نجزي المحسنين
|
|
ana kXlk njzy almHsnyn
|
|
81. * |
For he was one of our believing Servants.
|
|
He is one of our believing servants.
|
|
انه من عبادنا المؤمنين
|
|
anh mn `badna almWmnyn
|
|
82. * |
Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood.
|
|
We drowned all the others.
|
|
ثم اغرقنا الاخرين
|
|
xm aGrqna alaKryn
|
|
83. * |
Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham.
|
|
Among his followers was Abraham.
|
|
وان من شيعته لابراهيم
|
|
wan mn $y`th labrahym
|
|
84. * |
Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart.
|
|
He came to his Lord wholeheartedly.
|
|
اذ جاء ربه بقلب سليم
|
|
aX ja' rbh bqlb slym
|
|
85. * |
Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship?
|
|
He said to his father and his people, "What are you worshiping?
|
|
اذ قال لابيه وقومه ماذا تعبدون
|
|
aX qal labyh wqwmh maXa t`bdwn
|
|
86. * |
"Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah. that ye desire?
|
|
"Is it these fabricated gods, instead of GOD, that you want?
|
|
ائفكا الهة دون الله تريدون
|
|
aYfka alh+ dwn allh trydwn
|
|
87. * |
"Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?"
|
|
"What do you think of the Lord of the universe?"
|
|
فما ظنكم برب العالمين
|
|
fma Znkm brb al`almyn
|
|
88. * |
Then did he cast a glance at the Stars.
|
|
He looked carefully at the stars.
|
|
فنظر نظرة في النجوم
|
|
fnZr nZr+ fy alnjwm
|
|
89. * |
And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!"
|
|
Then he gave up and said, "I am tired of this!"
|
|
فقال اني سقيم
|
|
fqal any sqym
|
|
90. * |
So they turned away from him, and departed.
|
|
They turned away from him.
|
|
فتولوا عنه مدبرين
|
|
ftwlwa `nh mdbryn
|
|
91. * |
Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?...
|
|
He then turned on their idols, saying, "Would you like to eat?
|
|
فراغ الى الهتهم فقال الا تاكلون
|
|
fraG ali alhthm fqal ala taklwn
|
|
92. * |
"What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?"
|
|
"Why do you not speak?"
|
|
مالكم لاتنطقون
|
|
malkm latnTqwn
|
|
93. * |
Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand.
|
|
He then destroyed them.
|
|
فراغ عليهم ضربا باليمين
|
|
fraG `lyhm Drba balymyn
|
|
94. * |
Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him).
|
|
They went to him in a great rage.
|
|
فاقبلوا اليه يزفون
|
|
faqblwa alyh yzfwn
|
|
95. * |
He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved?
|
|
He said, "How can you worship what you carve?
|
|
قال اتعبدون ماتنحتون
|
|
qal at`bdwn matnHtwn
|
|
96. * |
"But Allah has created you and your handwork!"
|
|
"When GOD has created you, and everything you make!"
|
|
والله خلقكم وماتعملون
|
|
wallh Klqkm wmat`mlwn
|
|
97. * |
They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!"
|
|
They said, "Let us build a great fire, and throw him into it."
|
|
قالوا ابنوا له بنيانا فالقوه في الجحيم
|
|
qalwa abnwa lh bnyana falqwh fy aljHym
|
|
98. * |
(This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated!
|
|
They schemed against him, but we made them the losers.
|
|
فارادوا به كيدا فجعلناهم الاسفلين
|
|
faradwa bh kyda fj`lnahm alasflyn
|
|
99. * |
He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me!
|
|
He said, "I am going to my Lord; He will guide me."
|
|
وقال اني ذاهب الى ربي سيهدين
|
|
wqal any Xahb ali rby syhdyn
|
|
100. * |
"O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!"
|
|
"My Lord, grant me righteous children."
|
|
رب هب لي من الصالحين
|
|
rb hb ly mn alSalHyn
|
|
101. * |
So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear.
|
|
We gave him good news of a good child.
|
|
فبشرناه بغلام حليم
|
|
fb$rnah bGlam Hlym
|
|
102. * |
Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"
|
|
When he grew enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I see in a dream that I am sacrificing you. What do you think?" He said, "O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, GOD willing, patient."
|
|
فلما بلغ معه السعي قال يابني اني ارى في المنام اني اذبحك فانظر ماذا ترى قال ياابت افعل ماتؤمر ستجدني ان شاء الله من الصابرين

So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah., and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice),
|
|
They both submitted, and he put his forehead down (to sacrifice him).
|
|
فلما اسلما وتله للجبين
|
|
flma aslma wtlh lljbyn
|
|
104. * |
We called out to him "O Abraham!
|
|
We called him: "O Abraham.
|
|
وناديناه ان ياابراهيم
|
|
wnadynah an yaabrahym
|
|
105. * |
"Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
|
|
"You have believed the dream." We thus reward the righteous.
|
|
قد صدقت الرؤيا انا كذلك نجزي المحسنين
|
|
qd Sdqt alrWya ana kXlk njzy almHsnyn
|
|
106. * |
For this was obviously a trial-
|
|
That was an exacting test indeed.
|
|
ان هذا لهو البلاء المبين
|
|
an hXa lhw albla' almbyn
|
|
107. * |
And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice:
|
|
We ransomed (Ismail) by substituting an animal sacrifice.
|
|
وفديناه بذبح عظيم
|
|
wfdynah bXbH `Zym
|
|
108. * |
And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times:
|
|
And we preserved his history for subsequent generations.
|
|
وتركنا عليه في الاخرين
|
|
wtrkna `lyh fy alaKryn
|
|
109. * |
"Peace and salutation to Abraham!"
|
|
Peace be upon Abraham.
|
|
سلام على ابراهيم
|
|
slam `li abrahym
|
|
110. * |
Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
|
|
We thus reward the righteous.
|
|
كذلك نجزي المحسنين
|
|
kXlk njzy almHsnyn
|
|
111. * |
For he was one of our believing Servants.
|
|
He is one of our believing servants.
|
|
انه من عبادنا المؤمنين
|
|
anh mn `badna almWmnyn
|
|
112. * |
And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous.
|
|
Then we gave him the good news about the birth of Isaac, to be one of the righteous prophets.
|
|
وبشرناه باسحاق نبيا من الصالحين
|
|
wb$rnah basHaq nbya mn alSalHyn
|
|
113. * |
We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls.
|
|
We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants, some are righteous, and some are wicked transgressors.
|
|
وباركنا عليه وعلى اسحاق ومن ذريتهما محسن وظالم لنفسه مبين
|
|
wbarkna `lyh w`li asHaq wmn Xrythma mHsn wZalm lnfsh mbyn
|
|
114. * |
Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron,
|
|
We also blessed Moses and Aaron.
|
|
ولقد مننا على موسى وهارون
|
|
wlqd mnna `li mwsi wharwn
|
|
115. * |
And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity;
|
|
We delivered them and their people from the great disaster.
|
|
ونجيناهما وقومهما من الكرب العظيم
|
|
wnjynahma wqwmhma mn alkrb al`Zym
|
|
116. * |
And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles);
|
|
We supported them, until they became the winners.
|
|
ونصرناهم فكانوا هم الغالبين
|
|
wnSrnahm fkanwa hm alGalbyn
|
|
117. * |
And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear;
|
|
We gave both of them the profound scripture.
|
|
واتيناهما الكتاب المستبين
|
|
watynahma alktab almstbyn
|
|
118. * |
And We guided them to the Straight Way.
|
|
We guided them in the right path.
|
|
وهديناهما الصراط المستقيم
|
|
whdynahma alSraT almstqym
|
|
119. * |
And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times:
|
|
We preserved their history for subsequent generations.
|
|
وتركنا عليهما في الاخرين
|
|
wtrkna `lyhma fy alaKryn
|
|
120. * |
"Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!"
|
|
Peace be upon Moses and Aaron.
|
|
سلام على موسى وهارون
|
|
slam `li mwsi wharwn
|
|
121. * |
Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
|
|
We thus reward the righteous.
|
|
انا كذلك نجزي المحسنين
|
|
ana kXlk njzy almHsnyn
|
|
122. * |
For they were two of our believing Servants.
|
|
Both of them were among our righteous servants.
|
|
انهما من عبادنا المؤمنين
|
|
anhma mn `badna almWmnyn
|
|
123. * |
So also was Elias among those sent (by Us).
|
|
Elias was one of the messengers.
|
|
وان الياس لمن المرسلين
|
|
wan alyas lmn almrslyn
|
|
124. * |
Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear ((Allah))?
|
|
He said to his people, "Would you not work righteousness?
|
|
اذ قال لقومه الا تتقون
|
|
aX qal lqwmh ala ttqwn
|
|
125. * |
"Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,-
|
|
"Do you worship a statue, instead of the Supreme Creator?
|
|
اتدعون بعلا وتذرون احسن الخالقين
|
|
atd`wn b`la wtXrwn aHsn alKalqyn
|
|
126. * |
"(Allah), your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?"
|
|
"GOD; your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers!"
|
|
الله ربكم ورب ابائكم الاولين
|
|
allh rbkm wrb abaYkm alawlyn
|
|
127. * |
But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),-
|
|
They disbelieved him. Consequently, they had to be called to account.
|
|
فكذبوه فانهم لمحضرون
|
|
fkXbwh fanhm lmHDrwn
|
|
128. * |
Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them).
|
|
Only GOD's servants who are absolutely devoted to Him alone (are saved).
|
|
الا عباد الله المخلصين
|
|
ala `bad allh almKlSyn
|
|
129. * |
And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times:
|
|
We preserved his history for subsequent generations.
|
|
وتركنا عليه في الاخرين
|
|
wtrkna `lyh fy alaKryn
|
|
130. * |
"Peace and salutation to such as Elias!"
|
|
Peace be upon Elias, and all those like Elias.
|
|
سلام على ال ياسين
|
|
slam `li al yasyn
|
|
131. * |
Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
|
|
We thus reward the righteous.
|
|
انا كذلك نجزي المحسنين
|
|
ana kXlk njzy almHsnyn
|
|
132. * |
For he was one of our believing Servants.
|
|
He was one of our believing servants.
|
|
انه من عبادنا المؤمنين
|
|
anh mn `badna almWmnyn
|
|
133. * |
So also was Lut among those sent (by Us).
|
|
Lot was one of the messengers.
|
|
وان لوطا لمن المرسلين
|
|
wan lwTa lmn almrslyn
|
|
134. * |
Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all
|
|
We saved him and all his family.
|
|
اذ نجيناه واهله اجمعين
|
|
aX njynah wahlh ajm`yn
|
|
135. * |
Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind:
|
|
Only the old woman was doomed.
|
|
الا عجوزا في الغابرين
|
|
ala `jwza fy alGabryn
|
|
136. * |
Then We destroyed the rest.
|
|
We annihilated all the others.
|
|
ثم دمرنا الاخرين
|
|
xm dmrna alaKryn
|
|
137. * |
Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day-
|
|
You still pass by their ruins by day.
|
|
وانكم لتمرون عليهم مصبحين
|
|
wankm ltmrwn `lyhm mSbHyn
|
|
138. * |
And by night: will ye not understand?
|
|
And by night. Would you understand?
|
|
وبالليل افلا تعقلون
|
|
wballyl afla t`qlwn
|
|
139. * |
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us).
|
|
Jonah was one of the messengers.
|
|
وان يونس لمن المرسلين
|
|
wan ywns lmn almrslyn
|
|
140. * |
When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden,
|
|
He escaped to the loaded ship.
|
|
اذ ابق الى الفلك المشحون
|
|
aX abq ali alflk alm$Hwn
|
|
141. * |
He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned:
|
|
He rebelled and thus, he joined the losers.
|
|
فساهم فكان من المدحضين
|
|
fsahm fkan mn almdHDyn
|
|
142. * |
Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame.
|
|
Consequently, the fish swallowed him, and he was the one to blame.
|
|
فالتقمه الحوت وهو مليم
|
|
faltqmh alHwt whw mlym
|
|
143. * |
Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah,
|
|
If it were not that he resorted to meditation (on God),
|
|
فلولا انه كان من المسبحين
|
|
flwla anh kan mn almsbHyn
|
|
144. * |
He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection.
|
|
he would have stayed in its belly until the Day of Resurrection.
|
|
للبث في بطنه الى يوم يبعثون
|
|
llbx fy bTnh ali ywm yb`xwn
|
|
145. * |
But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness,
|
|
We had him thrown up into the desert, exhausted.
|
|
فنبذناه بالعراء وهو سقيم
|
|
fnbXnah bal`ra' whw sqym
|
|
146. * |
And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind.
|
|
We had a tree of edible fruit grown for him.
|
|
وانبتنا عليه شجرة من يقطين
|
|
wanbtna `lyh $jr+ mn yqTyn
|
|
147. * |
And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more.
|
|
Then we sent him to a hundred thousand, or more.
|
|
وارسلناه الى مئة الف او يزيدون
|
|
warslnah ali mY+ alf aw yzydwn
|
|
148. * |
And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while.
|
|
They did believe, and we let them enjoy this life.
|
|
فامنوا فمتعناهم الى حين
|
|
famnwa fmt`nahm ali Hyn
|
|
149. * |
Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?-
|
|
Ask them if your Lord have daughters, while they have sons!
|
|
فاستفتهم الربك البنات ولهم البنون
|
|
fastfthm alrbk albnat wlhm albnwn
|
|
150. * |
Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)?
|
|
Did we create the angels to be females? Did they witness that?
|
|
ام خلقنا الملائكة اناثا وهم شاهدون
|
|
am Klqna almlaYk+ anaxa whm $ahdwn
|
|
151. * |
Is it not that they say, from their own invention,
|
|
Indeed, they grossly blaspheme when they say -
|
|
الا انهم من افكهم ليقولون
|
|
ala anhm mn afkhm lyqwlwn
|
|
152. * |
"(Allah) has begotten children"? but they are liars!
|
|
"GOD has begotten a son." Indeed, they are liars.
|
|
ولد الله وانهم لكاذبون
|
|
wld allh wanhm lkaXbwn
|
|
153. * |
Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons?
|
|
Did He choose the girls over the boys?
|
|
اصطفى البنات على البنين
|
|
aSTfi albnat `li albnyn
|
|
154. * |
What is the matter with you? How judge ye?
|
|
What is wrong with your logic?
|
|
مالكم كيف تحكمون
|
|
malkm kyf tHkmwn
|
|
155. * |
Will ye not then receive admonition?
|
|
Why do you not take heed?
|
|
افلا تذكرون
|
|
afla tXkrwn
|
|
156. * |
Or have ye an authority manifest?
|
|
Do you have any proof?
|
|
ام لكم سلطان مبين
|
|
am lkm slTan mbyn
|
|
157. * |
Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful!
|
|
Show us your book, if you are truthful.
|
|
فاتوا بكتابكم ان كنتم صادقين
|
|
fatwa bktabkm an kntm Sadqyn
|
|
158. * |
And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment- Seat)!
|
|
They even invented a special relationship between Him and the jinns. The jinns themselves know that they are subservient.
|
|
وجعلوا بينه وبين الجنة نسبا ولقد علمت الجنة انهم لمحضرون
|
|
wj`lwa bynh wbyn aljn+ nsba wlqd `lmt aljn+ anhm lmHDrwn
|
|
159. * |
Glory to Allah. (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)!
|
|
GOD be glorified; far above their claims.
|
|
سبحان الله عما يصفون
|
|
sbHan allh `ma ySfwn
|
|
160. * |
Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted.
|
|
Only GOD's servants who are devoted to Him alone (are saved).
|
|
الا عباد الله المخلصين
|
|
ala `bad allh almKlSyn
|
|
161. * |
For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship-
|
|
Indeed, you and what you worship.
|
|
فانكم وماتعبدون
|
|
fankm wmat`bdwn
|
|
162. * |
Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah,
|
|
Cannot impose anything on Him.
|
|
ماانتم عليه بفاتنين
|
|
maantm `lyh bfatnyn
|
|
163. * |
Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire!
|
|
Only you will burn in Hell.
|
|
الا من هو صال الجحيم
|
|
ala mn hw Sal aljHym
|
|
164. * |
(Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed;
|
|
Each one of us has a specific job.
|
|
ومامنا الا له مقام معلوم
|
|
wmamna ala lh mqam m`lwm
|
|
165. * |
"And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service);
|
|
We are the arrangers.
|
|
وانا لنحن الصافون
|
|
wana lnHn alSafwn
|
|
166. * |
"And we are verily those who declare ((Allah)'s) glory!"
|
|
We have duly glorified (our Lord).
|
|
وانا لنحن المسبحون
|
|
wana lnHn almsbHwn
|
|
167. * |
And there were those who said,
|
|
They used to say,
|
|
وان كانوا ليقولون
|
|
wan kanwa lyqwlwn
|
|
168. * |
"If only we had had before us a Message from those of old,
|
|
"Had we received the correct instructions from our parents,
|
|
لو ان عندنا ذكرا من الاولين
|
|
lw an `ndna Xkra mn alawlyn
|
|
169. * |
"We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!"
|
|
"we would have been worshipers; devoted to GOD alone."
|
|
لكنا عباد الله المخلصين
|
|
lkna `bad allh almKlSyn
|
|
170. * |
But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know!
|
|
But they disbelieved, and they will surely find out.
|
|
فكفروا به فسوف يعلمون
|
|
fkfrwa bh fswf y`lmwn
|
|
171. * |
Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us),
|
|
Our decision is already decreed for our servants the messengers.
|
|
ولقد سبقت كلمتنا لعبادنا المرسلين
|
|
wlqd sbqt klmtna l`badna almrslyn
|
|
172. * |
That they would certainly be assisted,
|
|
They are surely the victors.
|
|
انهم لهم المنصورون
|
|
anhm lhm almnSwrwn
|
|
173. * |
And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer.
|
|
Our soldiers are the winners.
|
|
وان جندنا لهم الغالبون
|
|
wan jndna lhm alGalbwn
|
|
174. * |
So turn thou away from them for a little while,
|
|
So disregard them for awhile.
|
|
فتول عنهم حتى حين
|
|
ftwl `nhm Hti Hyn
|
|
175. * |
And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)!
|
|
Watch them; they too will watch.
|
|
وابصرهم فسوف يبصرون
|
|
wabSrhm fswf ybSrwn
|
|
176. * |
Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment?
|
|
Do they challenge our retribution?
|
|
افبعذابنا يستعجلون
|
|
afb`Xabna yst`jlwn
|
|
177. * |
But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)!
|
|
When it hits them one day, it will be a miserable day; they have been sufficiently warned.
|
|
فاذا نزل بساحتهم فساء صباح المنذرين
|
|
faXa nzl bsaHthm fsa' SbaH almnXryn
|
|
178. * |
So turn thou away from them for a little while,
|
|
Disregard them for awhile.
|
|
وتول عنهم حتى حين
|
|
wtwl `nhm Hti Hyn
|
|
179. * |
And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)!
|
|
Watch them; they too will watch.
|
|
وابصر فسوف يبصرون
|
|
wabSr fswf ybSrwn
|
|
180. * |
Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)!
|
|
Glory be to your Lord, the great Lord; far above their claims.
|
|
سبحان ربك رب العزة عما يصفون
|
|
sbHan rbk rb al`z+ `ma ySfwn
|
|
181. * |
And Peace on the apostles!
|
|
Peace be upon the messengers.
|
|
وسلام على المرسلين
|
|

|
|
182. * |
And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds.
|
|
Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe.
|
|
والحمد لله رب العالمين
|
