I do call to witness the Resurrection Day;
|
|
I swear by the Day of Resurrection.
|
|
سورة القيامة بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ لااقسم بيوم القيامة
|
|
swr+ alqyam+ bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? laaqsm bywm alqyam+
|
|
2. * |
And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil).
|
|
And I swear by the blaming soul.
|
|
ولااقسم بالنفس اللوامة
|
|
wlaaqsm balnfs allwam+
|
|
3. * |
Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones?
|
|
Does the human being think that we will not reconstruct his bones?
|
|
ايحسب الانسان الن نجمع عظامه
|
|
ayHsb alansan aln njm` `Zamh
|
|
4. * |
Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers.
|
|
Yes indeed; we are able to reconstruct his finger tip.
|
|
بلى قادرين على ان نسوي بنانه
|
|
bli qadryn `li an nswy bnanh
|
|
5. * |
But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him.
|
|
But the human being tends to believe only what he sees in front of him.
|
|
بل يريد الانسان ليفجر امامه
|
|
bl yryd alansan lyfjr amamh
|
|
6. * |
He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
|
|
He doubts the Day of Resurrection!
|
|
يسأل ايان يوم القيامة
|
|
ysAl ayan ywm alqyam+
|
|
7. * |
At length, when the sight is dazed,
|
|
Once the vision is sharpened.
|
|
فاذا برق البصر
|
|
faXa brq albSr
|
|
8. * |
And the moon is buried in darkness.
|
|
And the moon is eclipsed.
|
|
وخسف القمر
|
|
wKsf alqmr
|
|
9. * |
And the sun and moon are joined together,-
|
|
And the sun and the moon crash into one another.
|
|
وجمع الشمس والقمر
|
|
wjm` al$ms walqmr
|
|
10. * |
That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?"
|
|
The human being will say on that day, "Where is the escape?"
|
|
يقول الانسان يومئذ اين المفر
|
|
yqwl alansan ywmYX ayn almfr
|
|
11. * |
By no means! No place of safety!
|
|
Absolutely, there is no escape.
|
|
كلا لاوزر
|
|
kla lawzr
|
|
12. * |
Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest.
|
|
To your Lord, on that day, is the final destiny.
|
|
الى ربك يومئذ المستقر
|
|
ali rbk ywmYX almstqr
|
|
13. * |
That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back.
|
|
The human being will be informed, on that day, of everything he did to advance himself, and everything he did to regress himself.
|
|
ينبأ الانسان يومئذ بما قدم واخر
|
|
ynbA alansan ywmYX bma qdm waKr
|
|
14. * |
Nay, man will be evidence against himself,
|
|
The human being will be his own judge.
|
|
بل الانسان على نفسه بصيرة
|
|
bl alansan `li nfsh bSyr+
|
|
15. * |
Even though he were to put up his excuses.
|
|
No excuses will be accepted.
|
|
ولو القى معاذيره
|
|
wlw alqi m`aXyrh
|
|
16. * |
Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith.
|
|
Do not move your tongue to hasten it.
|
|
لاتحرك به لسانك لتعجل به
|
|
latHrk bh lsank lt`jl bh
|
|
17. * |
It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it:
|
|
It is we who will collect it into Quran.
|
|
ان علينا جمعه وقرانه
|
|
an `lyna jm`h wqranh
|
|
18. * |
But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated):
|
|
Once we recite it, you shall follow such a Quran.
|
|
فاذا قراناه فاتبع قرانه
|
|
faXa qranah fatb` qranh
|
|
19. * |
Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear):
|
|
Then it is we who will explain it.
|
|
ثم ان علينا بيانه
|
|
xm an `lyna byanh
|
|
20. * |
Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life,
|
|
Indeed, you love this fleeting life.
|
|
كلا بل تحبون العاجلة
|
|
kla bl tHbwn al`ajl+
|
|
21. * |
And leave alone the Hereafter.
|
|
While disregarding the Hereafter.
|
|
وتذرون الاخرة
|
|
wtXrwn alaKr+
|
|
22. * |
Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);-
|
|
Some faces, on that day, will be happy
|
|
وجوه يومئذ ناضرة
|
|
wjwh ywmYX naDr+
|
|
23. * |
Looking towards their Lord;
|
|
Looking at their Lord.
|
|
الى ربها ناظرة
|
|
ali rbha naZr+
|
|
24. * |
And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal,
|
|
Other faces will be, on that day, miserable.
|
|
ووجوه يومئذ باسرة
|
|
wwjwh ywmYX basr+
|
|
25. * |
In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them;
|
|
Expecting the worst.
|
|
تظن ان يفعل بها فاقرة
|
|
tZn an yf`l bha faqr+
|
|
26. * |
Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit),
|
|
Indeed, when (the soul) reaches the throat.
|
|
كلا اذا بلغت التراقي
|
|
kla aXa blGt altraqy
|
|
27. * |
And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?"
|
|
And it is ordered: "Let go!"
|
|
وقيل من راق
|
|
wqyl mn raq
|
|
28. * |
And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting;
|
|
He knows it is the end.
|
|
وظن انه الفراق
|
|
wZn anh alfraq
|
|
29. * |
And one leg will be joined with another:
|
|
Each leg will lay motionless next to the other leg.
|
|
والتفت الساق بالساق
|
|
waltft alsaq balsaq
|
|
30. * |
That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord!
|
|
To your Lord, on that day, is the summoning.
|
|
الى ربك يومئذ المساق
|
|
ali rbk ywmYX almsaq
|
|
31. * |
So he gave nothing in charity, nor did he pray!-
|
|
For he observed neither the charity, nor the contact prayers (Salat).
|
|
فلا صدق ولاصلى
|
|
fla Sdq wlaSli
|
|
32. * |
But on the contrary, he rejected Truth and turned away!
|
|
But he disbelieved and turned away.
|
|
ولكن كذب وتولى
|
|

|
|
33. * |
Then did he stalk to his family in full conceit!
|
|
With his family, he acted arrogantly.
|
|
ثم ذهب الى اهله يتمطى
|
|
xm Xhb ali ahlh ytmTi
|
|
34. * |
Woe to thee, (O men!), yea, woe!
|
|
You have deserved this.
|
|
اولى لك فاولى
|
|
awli lk fawli
|
|
35. * |
Again, Woe to thee, (O men!), yea, woe!
|
|
Indeed, you have deserved this.
|
|
ثم اولى لك فاولى
|
|

|
|
36. * |
Does man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)?
|
|
Does the human being think that he will go to nothing?
|
|
ايحسب الانسان ان يترك سدى
|
|
ayHsb alansan an ytrk sdi
|
|
37. * |
Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)?
|
|
Was he not a drop of ejected semen?
|
|
الم يك نطفة من مني يمنى
|
|
alm yk nTf+ mn mny ymni
|
|
38. * |
Then did he become a leech-like clot; then did ((Allah)) make and fashion (him) in due proportion.
|
|
Then He created an embryo out of it!
|
|
ثم كان علقة فخلق فسوى
|
|
xm kan `lq+ fKlq fswi
|
|
39. * |
And of him He made two sexes, male and female.
|
|
He made it into male or female!
|
|
فجعل منه الزوجين الذكر والانثى
|
|
fj`l mnh alzwjyn alXkr walanxi
|
|
40. * |
Has not He, (the same), the power to give life to the dead?
|
|
Is He then unable to revive the dead?
|
|
اليس ذلك بقادر على ان يحيي الموتى
|
|
