1.  *     سورة النازعات  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ والنازعات غرقا     swr+ alnaz`at  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? walnaz`at Grqa     And/by the strangers/life extractors, exaggerating/absorbing (violently).     The (angels who) snatch (the souls of the disbelievers) forcibly.     By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence;
 
2.  *     والناشطات نشطا     walna$Tat n$Ta     And/by the active/pullers, actively/pulling.     And those who gently take (the souls of the believers) joyfully.     By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed);
 
3.  *     والسابحات سبحا     walsabHat sbHa     And/by the ships/stars/fast (could be angels), tending to the livelihood/floating.     And those floating everywhere.     And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy),
 
4.  *     فالسابقات سبقا     falsabqat sbqa     So the racing/surpassing/preceding, racing/surpassing/preceding.     Eagerly racing with one another -     Then press forward as in a race,
 
5.  *     فالمدبرات امرا     falmdbrat amra     So the regulators/arrangers/planners (of) a matter/affair/order/command.     to carry out various commands.     Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord),
 
6.  *     يوم ترجف الراجفة     ywm trjf alrajf+     A day/time the first blow of the horn trembles and shakes/agitates.     The day the quake quakes.     One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion,
 
7.  *     تتبعها الرادفة     ttb`ha alradf+     The followed closely behind follows it.     Followed by the second blow.     Followed by oft-repeated (commotions):
 
8.  *     قلوب يومئذ واجفة     qlwb ywmYX wajf+     Hearts (on) that day (are) palpitating/pounding.     Certain minds will be terrified.     Hearts that Day will be in agitation;
 
9.  *     ابصارها خاشعة     abSarha Ka$`+     Its eyesight/understanding (is) humble/submissive.     Their eyes will be subdued.     Cast down will be (their owners') eyes.
 
10.  *     يقولون ائنا لمردودون في الحافرة     yqwlwn aYna lmrdwdwn fy alHafr+     They say: "Are we returning (E) in the first creation ?"     They will say, "We have been recreated from the grave!     They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state?
 
11.  *     ائذا كنا عظاما نخرة     aYXa kna `Zama nKr+     Is (it that) if we were decayed/decomposed bones.     "How did this happen after we had turned into rotten bones?"     "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?"
 
12.  *     قالوا تلك اذا كرة خاسرة     qalwa tlk aXa kr+ Kasr+     They said: "That is then a loosing repetition."     They had said, "This is an impossible recurrence."     They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!"
 
13.  *     فانما هي زجرة واحدة     fanma hy zjr+ waHd+     So but it is one deterrent/cry to drive out.     All it takes is one nudge.     But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry,
 
14.  *     فاذا هم بالساهرة     faXa hm balsahr+     So then they are at the Earth's surface.     Whereupon they get up.     When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment).
 
15.  *     هل اتاك حديث موسى     hl atak Hdyx mwsi     Did Moses' information/speech come to you?     Have you known about the history of Moses?     Has the story of Moses reached thee?
 
16.  *     اذ ناداه ربه بالواد المقدس طوى     aX nadah rbh balwad almqds Twi     When His Lord called him at the Valley the Holy/Sanctified Tuwan/concealed/folded within :     His Lord called him at the holy valley of Tuwaa.     Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:-
 
17.  *     اذهب الى فرعون انه طغى     aXhb ali fr`wn anh TGi     Go to Pharaoh, that he truly exceeded the limit/tyrannized.     "Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed."     "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds:
 
18.  *     فقل هل لك الى ان تزكى     fql hl lk ali an tzki     So say: 'Is there for you that (E) you purify/become righteous ?'     Tell him, "Would you not reform?     "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?-
 
19.  *     واهديك الى ربك فتخشى     wahdyk ali rbk ftK$i     'And I guide you to your Lord so you fear.'     "Let me guide you to your Lord, that you may turn reverent."     "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'"
 
20.  *     فاراه الاية الكبرى     farah alay+ alkbri     So he showed him/made him understand the verse/evidence/sign, the greatest/biggest.     He then showed him the great miracle.     Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign.
 
21.  *     فكذب وعصى     fkXb w`Si     So he denied/falsified, and he disobeyed.     But he disbelieved and rebelled.     But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance);
 
22.  *     ثم ادبر يسعى     xm adbr ys`i     Then he gave his back/ended/passed hastening.     Then he turned away in a hurry.     Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah..
 
23.  *     فحشر فنادى     fH$r fnadi     So he gathered, so he called.     He summoned and proclaimed.     Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation,
 
24.  *     فقال انا ربكم الاعلى     fqal ana rbkm ala`li     So he said: "I am your lord the highest/mightiest."     He said, "I am your Lord; most high."     Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High".
 
25.  *     فاخذه الله نكال الاخرة والاولى     faKXh allh nkal alaKr+ walawli     So God punished/took him (the) severe exemplary punishment (of) the end (other life) and the first/beginning.     Consequently, GOD committed him to the retribution in the Hereafter, as well as in the first life.     But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life.
 
26.  *     ان في ذلك لعبرة لمن يخشى     an fy Xlk l`br+ lmn yK$i     That truly in that (is) an example/warning (E) to who fears.     This is a lesson for the reverent.     Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth ((Allah)).
 
27.  *     ءانتم اشد خلقا ام السماء بناها     'antm a$d Klqa am alsma' bnaha     Are you (a) stronger creation or the sky/space (which) He built/constructed it?     Are you more difficult to create than the heaven? He constructed it.     What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? ((Allah)) hath constructed it:
 
28.  *     رفع سمكها فسواها     rf` smkha fswaha     He raised its height/thickness, so He straightened it.     He raised its masses, and perfected it.     On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection.
 
29.  *     واغطش ليلها واخرج ضحاها     waGT$ lylha waKrj DHaha     And He darkened its night, and He brought out its day break.     He made its night dark, and brightened its morn.     Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light).
 
30.  *     والارض بعد ذلك دحاها     walarD b`d Xlk dHaha     And the earth/Planet Earth after that He blew and stretched/spread it.     He made the earth egg-shaped.     And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse);
 
31.  *     اخرج منها ماءها ومرعاها     aKrj mnha ma'ha wmr`aha     He brought out from it its water and its pasture.     From it, He produced its own water and pasture.     He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture;
 
32.  *     والجبال ارساها     waljbal arsaha     And the mountains, He anchored it/fixed it firmly.     He established the mountains.     And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;-
 
33.  *     متاعا لكم ولانعامكم     mta`a lkm wlan`amkm     Enjoyment for you and for your camels/livestock.     All this to provide life support for you and your animals.     For use and convenience to you and your cattle.
 
34.  *     فاذا جاءت الطامة الكبرى     faXa ja't alTam+ alkbri     So if/when the Calamity/Greatest Disaster/Resurrection Day the greatest came.     Then, when the great blow comes.     Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),-
 
35.  *     يوم يتذكر الانسان ماسعى     ywm ytXkr alansan mas`i     A day/time the human/mankind remembers/recites what he strived/endeavored.     That is the day when the human will remember everything he did.     The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for,
 
36.  *     وبرزت الجحيم لمن يرى     wbrzt aljHym lmn yri     And the Hell was made to emerge to who sees/understands.     Hell will be brought into existence.     And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,-
 
37.  *     فاما من طغى     fama mn TGi     So but who exceeded the limit/tyrannized/became arrogant.     As for the one who transgressed.     Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds,
 
38.  *     واثر الحياة الدنيا     waxr alHya+ aldnya     And preferred/chose the life the present/worldly life.     Who was preoccupied with this life.     And had preferred the life of this world,
 
39.  *     فان الجحيم هي الماوى     fan aljHym hy almawi     So then the Hell, it is the shelter/refuge.     Hell will be the abode.     The Abode will be Hell-Fire;
 
40.  *     واما من خاف مقام ربه ونهى النفس عن الهوى     wama mn Kaf mqam rbh wnhi alnfs `n alhwi     And but who feared his Lord's position/status and he forbid/prevented the self from the self attraction for desire.     As for the one who reverenced the majesty of his Lord, and enjoined the self from sinful lusts.     And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires,
 
41.  *     فان الجنة هي الماوى     fan aljn+ hy almawi     So then the Paradise/treed garden, it is the shelter/refuge.     Paradise will be the abode.     Their abode will be the Garden.
 
42.  *     يسألونك عن الساعة ايان مرساها     ysAlwnk `n alsa`+ ayan mrsaha     They ask/question you about the Hour/Resurrection when (is) its landing ?     They ask you about the Hour, and when it will take place!     They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time?
 
43.  *     فيم انت من ذكراها     fym ant mn Xkraha     In what you are from mentioning/remembering it (what do you know about it or its time)?     It is not you (Muhammad) who is destined to announce its time.     Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof?
 
44.  *     الى ربك منتهاها     ali rbk mnthaha     To your Lord (is) its ultimate/absolute end.     Your Lord decides its fate.     With thy Lord in the Limit fixed therefor.
 
45.  *     انما انت منذر من يخشاها     anma ant mnXr mn yK$aha     Truly/but you are a warner/giver of notice (to) who fears it.     Your mission is to warn those who expect it.     Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it.
 
46.  *     كانهم يوم يرونها لم يلبثوا الا عشية او ضحاها     kanhm ywm yrwnha lm ylbxwa ala `$y+ aw DHaha     As if they are, a day/time they see it, they did not stay/remain/wait (in their graves) except an evening or its daybreak/forenoon 456     The day they see it, they will feel as if they lasted one evening or half a day.     The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn!
