1.  *     Praise be God, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord.     ALL PRAISE is due to God, who has created the heavens and the earth, and brought into being deep darkness as well as light:' and yet, those who are bent on denying the truth regard other powers as their Sustainer's equals!     The praise/gratitude (is) to God, who created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and He made/created the darknesses and the light, then those who disbelieved with their Lord make equals (to Him).     swr+ alan`am  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym  alHmd llh alXy Klq alsmawat walarD wj`l alZlmat walnwr xm alXyn kfrwa brbhm y`dlwn
 
2.  *     He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!     He it is who has created you out of clay, and then has decreed a term [for you] - a term known [only] to him.' And yet you doubt -     He is who created you from mud/clay, then He passed judgment/ordered a term/time, and (a) term/time identified (specified) at Him, then you are arguing/doubting.     hw alXy Klqkm mn Tyn xm qDi ajla wajl msmi `ndh xm antm tmtrwn
 
3.  *     And He is God in the heavens and on earth. He knoweth what ye hide, and what ye reveal, and He knoweth the (recompense) which ye earn (by your deeds).     although He is  God in the heavens and on earth, knowing all that you keep secret as well as all that you do openly, and knowing what you deserve.     And He is God in the skies/space and in the earth/Planet Earth, He knows your secret and your publicized,and He knows what you gain/acquire.     whw allh fy alsmawat wfy alarD y`lm srkm wjhrkm wy`lm matksbwn
 
4.  *     But never did a single one of the signs of their Lord reach them, but they turned away therefrom.     Yet whenever any of their Sustainer's messages comes unto them, they [who are bent on denying the truth] turn their backs upon it: 3     And no verse/evidence from their Lord's verses/evidences comes to them except they were from it objecting/opposing.     wma tatyhm mn ay+ mn ayat rbhm ala kanwa `nha m`rDyn
 
5.  *     And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at.     and so they give the lie to this truth now that it has come unto them. In time, however, they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride.'     So they had denied/lied with the truth when it came to them, so information/news (of) what they were with it mocking/making fun of will come to them.     fqd kXbwa balHq lma ja'hm fswf yatyhm anba' ma kanwa bh ysthzWwn
 
6.  *     See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them).     Do they not see how many a generation We have destroyed before their time - [people] whom We had given a [bountiful] place on earth, the like of which We never gave unto you, and upon whom We showered heavenly blessings abundant, and at whose feet We made running waters flow? And yet We destroyed them for their sins, and gave rise to other people in their stead.'     Did they not see/understand how many from before them We destroyed from (a) people of one era/generation/century, We highly positioned them in the earth/Planet Earth, what We did not highly position for you, and We sent the sky/space on them flowing/pouring abundantly, and We made the rivers flow from beneath them, so We destroyed them, because of their crimes, and We created from after them others (another) people of one era/generation/century.     alm yrwa km ahlkna mn qblhm mn qrn mknahm fy alarD malm nmkn lkm warslna alsma' `lyhm mdrara wj`lna alanhar tjry mn tHthm fahlknahm bXnwbhm wan$ana mn b`dhm qrna aKryn
 
7.  *     If We had sent unto thee a written (message) on parchment, so that they could touch it with their hands, the Unbelievers would have been sure to say: "This is nothing but obvious magic!"     But even if We had sent down unto thee [0 Prophet] a writing on paper, and they had touched it with their own hands - those who are bent on denying the truth would indeed have said, "This is clearly nothing but a deception!"     And if We descended on you (S/M) a Book in paper/parchment, so they touched/touched and felt it with their hands, those who disbelieved would have said: "That that (is) except clear/evident magic/sorcery."     wlw nzlna `lyk ktaba fy qrTas flmswh baydyhm lqal alXyn kfrwa an hXa ala sHr mbyn
 
8.  *     They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them.     They are saying, too, "Why has not an angel (visibly] been sent down unto him?" But had We sent down an angel, all would indeed have been decided, 6 and they would have been allowed no further respite [for repentancel.     And they said: "If only (an) angel was descended on him." And if We descended an angel, the matter/affair would have been executed/ended, then they (would) not be given time/delayed.     wqalwa lwlaanzl `lyh mlk wlw anzlna mlka lqDy alamr xm laynZrwn
 
9.  *     If We had made it an angel, We should have sent him as a man, and We should certainly have caused them confusion in a matter which they have already covered with confusion.     And (even] if We had appointed an angel as Our message-bearer,' We would certainly have made him [appear as] a man - and thus We would only have confused them in the same way as 8  they are now confusing themselves.  expression ajal musamma in the Quedn, it is best rendered here as "a term set [by Him]" or "known [to Him]", i.e., relating both to individual lives and to the world as a whole.  an angel" -with the pronoun obviously referring to the bearer of     And if We made him an angel, We would have made him a man, We would have dressed on him (from) what they dress.     wlw j`lnah mlka lj`lnah rjla wllbsna `lyhm maylbswn
 
10.  *     Mocked were (many) apostles before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.     And, indeed, [even] before thy time have apostles been derided - but those who scoffed at them were [in the end] overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride.'     And had been mocked at messengers from before you, so those who mocked from them were afflicted/surrounded with what they were with it mocking/making fun.     wlqd asthzY brsl mn qblk fHaq balXyn sKrwa mnhm ma kanwa bh ysthzWwn
 
11.  *     Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who rejected Truth."     Say: "Go all over the earth, and behold what happened in the end to those who gave the lie to the truth!"     Say: "Walk/move in the Earth/land, then look/wonder about how was the liars'/falsifiers' end/turn (result)."     ql syrwa fy alarD xm anZrwa kyf kan `aqb+ almkXbyn
 
12.  *     Say: "To whom belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth?" Say: "To God. He hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. That He will gather you together for the Day of Judgment, there is no doubt whatever. It is they who have lost t heir own souls, that will not believe.     Say: "Unto whom belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth?" Say: "Unto God, who has willed upon Himself the law of grace and mercy."  He will assuredly gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection, [the coming of] which is beyond all doubt: yet those who have squandered their own selves-it is they who refuse to believe [in Him],     Say: "To whom, what (is) in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth?" Say: "To God, He decreed on Himself the mercy, He will gather/collect you to the Resurrection Day, no doubt/suspicion in it, those who lost themselves, so they are not believing."     ql lmn mafy alsmawat walarD ql llh ktb `li nfsh alrHm+ lyjm`nkm ali ywm alqyam+ laryb fyh alXyn Ksrwa anfshm fhm layWmnwn
 
13.  *     To him belongeth all that dwelleth (or lurketh) in the night and the day. For he is the one who heareth and knoweth all things."     although His is all that dwells in the night and the day, and He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing.     And for Him (is) what settled in the night and the daytime, and He (is) the hearing/listening, the knowledgeable.     wlh maskn fy allyl walnhar whw alsmy` al`lym
 
14.  *     Say: "Shall I take for my protector any other than God, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? And He it is that feedeth but is not fed." Say: "Nay! but I am commanded to be the first of those who bow to God (in Islam), and be not thou of the company of those who join gods with God."     Say: "Am I to take for my master anyone but God, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, when it is He who gives nourishment and Himself needs none?"  Say: "I am bidden to be foremost among those who surrender themselves unto God, and not to be" among those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him."     Say: "Is other than God, I take (as) a guardian, (the) creator (of) the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and He feeds and is not fed." Say: "I was ordered/commanded that I be first (of) who surrendered/submitted, and do not be (E) from the sharers/takers of partners (with God)."     ql aGyr allh atKX wlya faTr alsmawat walarD whw yT`m wlayT`m ql any amrt an akwn awl mn aslm wlatkwnn mn alm$rkyn
 
15.  *     Say: "I would, if I disobeyed my Lord, indeed have fear of the penalty of a Mighty Day.     Say: "Behold, I would dread, were I [thus] to rebel against my Sustainer, the suffering [which would befall me] on that awesome Day [of Judgment]."     Say: "That I, I fear if I disobeyed my Lord (from) a great day's torture."     ql any aKaf an `Syt rby `Xab ywm `Zym
 
16.  *     "On that day, if the penalty is averted from any, it is due to God's mercy; And that would be (Salvation), the obvious fulfilment of all desire.     Upon him who shall be spared on that Day, He will indeed have bestowed His grace: and this will be a manifest triumph.     Who is diverted from it (on) that day, so He had mercy upon him, and that (is) the clear/evident success/triumph.     mn ySrf `nh ywmYX fqd rHmh wXlk alfwz almbyn
 
17.  *     "If God touch thee with affliction, none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness, He hath power over all things.     And if God should touch thee with misfortune, there is none who could remove it but He; and if He should touch thee with good fortune -it is He who has the power to will anythiing:     And if God touches you with harm, so (there is)no remover/uncoverer for it except He, and if He touches you with goodness, so He is on every thing capable.     wan ymssk allh bDr fla ka$f lh ala hw wan ymssk bKyr fhw `li kl $Y qdyr
 
18.  *     "He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers; and He is the Wise, acquainted with all things."     for He alone holds sway over His creatures, and He alone is truly wise, all-aware.     And He is the defeater/conqueror over His worshippers/slaves, and He is the wise/judicious, the expert/experienced.     whw alqahr fwq `badh whw alHkym alKbyr
 
19.  *     Say: "What thing is most weighty in evidence?" Say: "God is witness between me and you; This Qur'an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides God there is an other God?" Say: "Nay! I cannot bear witness!" Say: "But in truth He is the one God, and I truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him."     Say: "What could most weightily bear witness to the truth?" Say: "God is witness between me and you; and this Qur'an has been revealed unto me so that on the strength thereof I might warn you and all whom it may reach."  Could you in truth bear witness that there are other deities side by side with God? Say: "I bear no [such] witness!" Say: "He is the One God; and, behold, far be it from me to ascribe divinity, as, you do, to aught beside Him!"     Say: "Which thing (is) greater (in) testimony/certification ?" Say: "God (is an) honest witness between me and between you (P), and (it is) transmitted/revealed to me this the Koran, to warn you with it and who (was) reached (informed); that you are witnessing/testifying (E), that with God, (are) other Gods." Say: "I do not witness/testify." Say: "But He is one God, and that I am innocent from what you share (with God)."     ql ay $Y akbr $had+ ql allh $hyd byny wbynkm wawHi ali hXa alqran lanXrkm bh wmn blG aYnkm lt$hdwn an m` allh alh+ aKri ql laa$hd ql anma hw alh waHd wanny brY mma t$rkwn
 
20.  *     Those to whom We have given the Book know this as they know their own sons. Those who have lost their own souls refuse therefore to believe.     They unto whom We have vouchsafed revelation aforetime know this 14 as they know their own children; yet those [of them] who have squandered their own selves -it is they who refuse to believe.     Those whom We brought to (gave) them The Book, they know it as they know their sons, those who lost themselves, so they do not believe.     alXyn atynahm alktab y`rfwnh kma y`rfwn abna'hm alXyn Ksrwa anfshm fhm layWmnwn
 
21.  *     Who doth more wrong than he who inventeth a lie against God or rejecteth His sings? But verily the wrong-doers never shall prosper.     And who could be more wicked than he who attributes his own lying inventions to God or gives the lie to His messages?  Verily, such evildoers will never attain to a happy state:     And who (is) more unjust/oppressive than who fabricated on God lies/falsifications or denied/falsified with His verses/evidences, that He does not (allow) the unjust/oppressors (to) succeed/win.     wmn aZlm mmn aftri `li allh kXba aw kXb bayath anh layflH alZalmwn
 
22.  *     One day shall We gather them all together: We shall say to those who ascribed partners (to Us): "Where are the partners whom ye (invented and) talked about?"     for one Day We shall gather them all together, and then We shall say unto those who ascribed divinity to aught beside God: "Where, now, are those beings whom you imagined to have a share in God's divinity?"     And a day We gather them all together, then We say to those who shared (with God): "Where (are) your partners (Idols with God), those who you were claiming/supporting?"     wywm nH$rhm jmy`a xm nqwl llXyn a$rkwa ayn $rkaWkm alXyn kntm tz`mwn
 
23.  *     There will then be (left) no subterfuge for them but to say: "By God our Lord, we were not those who joined gods with God."     Whereupon, in their utter confusion, they will only [be able to] say: "By God, our Sustainer, we did not [mean to] ascribe divinity to aught beside Him !"16     Then their false tales/misguidance (excuse was not), except that they said: "By God, our Lord, we were not sharing (with God)."     xm lm tkn ftnthm ala an qalwa wallh rbna ma kna m$rkyn
 
24.  *     Behold! how they lie against their own souls! But the (lie) which they invented will leave them in the lurch.     Behold how they have lied to themselves"-and [how] their false imagery has forsaken them!     See/look how they lied on (to) themselves, and what they were fabricating (was) wasted/lost from them.     anZr kyf kXbwa `li anfshm wDl `nhm ma kanwa yftrwn
 
25.  *     Of them there are some who (pretend to) listen to thee; but We have thrown veils on their hearts, So they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; if they saw every one of the signs, not they will believe in them; in so much that when th ey come to thee, they (but) dispute with thee; the Unbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the ancients."     And there are among them such as [seem to] listen to thee [O Prophet]: but over their hearts We have laid veils which prevent them from grasping the truth, and into their ears, deafness." And were they to see every sign [of the truth], they would still not believe in it-so much so that when they come unto thee to contend with thee, those who are bent on denying the truth say, "This is nothing but fables of ancient times!"     And from them who listens to you, and We put on their hearts/minds covers/protections, that they (not) understand/learn it, and in their ears deafness/heaviness, and if they see every evidence/sign/verse, they do not believe with it until when/if they came to you arguing/disputing with you, those who disbelieved, say: "That that (is) except the first's/beginner's myths."     wmnhm mn ystm` alyk wj`lna `li qlwbhm akn+ an yfqhwh wfy aXanhm wqra wan yrwa kl ay+ layWmnwa bha Hti aXa jaWwk yjadlwnk yqwl alXyn kfrwa an hXa ala asaTyr alawlyn
 
26.  *     Others they keep away from it, and themselves they keep away; but they only destroy their own souls, and they perceive it not.     And they bar others therefrom. and go far away from it: but they destroy none but themselves, and perceive it not.     And they forbid/prevent from it, and they go far from it, and that they truly destroy (non) except themselves, and they do not feel/know.     whm ynhwn `nh wynAwn `nh wan yhlkwn ala anfshm wmay$`rwn
 
27.  *     If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with the Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back! Then would we not reject the signs of our Lord, but would be amongst those who believe!"     If thou couldst but see [them] when they will be made to stand before the fire and will say, "Oh, would that we were brought back [to life]: then we would not give the lie to our Sustainer's messages, but would be among the believers!"     And if you see/understand, if they were suspended/stood on the fire, so they said: "Oh, if only we be returned and we not lie/deny/falsify with our Lord's verses/evidences, and we be from the believers."     wlw tri aX wqfwa `li alnar fqalwa yalytna nrd wlankXb bayat rbna wnkwn mn almWmnyn
 
28.  *     Yea, in their own (eyes) will become manifest what before they concealed. But if they were returned, they would certainly relapse to the things they were forbidden, for they are indeed liars.     But nay -[they will say this only because] the truth which they used to conceal [from themselves] in the past will have become obvious to them; and if they were brought back [to life], they would return to the very thing which was forbidden to them: for behold, they are indeed liars!'9     But/rather it appeared to them what they were hiding from before, and even if they were returned they would have returned (repeated) to what they were forbidden prevented from it, and that they truly are lying/denying/falsifying (E).     bl bda lhm ma kanwa yKfwn mn qbl wlw rdwa l`adwa lma nhwa `nh wanhm lkaXbwn
 
29.  *     And they (sometimes) say: "There is nothing except our life on this earth, and never shall we be raised up again."     And some [of the unbelievers] say, "There is nothing beyond our life in this world, for We shall not be raised from the dead."     And they said: "That truly it is except our life the present life/worldly life, we are not with being resurrected/revived."     wqalwa an hy ala Hyatna aldnya wmanHn bmb`wxyn
 
30.  *     If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with their Lord! He will say: "Is not this the truth?" They will say: "Yea, by our Lord!" He will say: "Taste ye then the penalty, because ye rejected Faith."     If thou couldst but see [them] when they shall be made to stand before their Sustainer [and] He will say, "Is not this the truth?"  They will answer: "Yea, indeed, by our Sustainer!" [Whereupon] He will say: "Taste, then, the suffering that comes from" your having refused to acknowledge the truth!"     And if you see/understand if they stopped/arrested at their Lord, he said: "Is that not with the truth/real ?" They said: "Yes/certainly, by our Lord." He said: "So taste/experience the torture, with what you were disbelieving."     wlw tri aX wqfwa `li rbhm qal alys hXa balHq qalwa bli wrbna qal fXwqwa al`Xab bma kntm tkfrwn
 
31.  *     Lost indeed are they who treat it as a falsehood that they must meet God,- until on a sudden the hour is on them, and they say: "Ah! woe unto us that we took no thought of it"; for they bear their burdens on their backs, and evil indeed are the burdens that they bear?     Lost indeed are they who consider it a lie that they will have to meet God -till the Last Hour suddenly comes upon them, [and] they cry, "Alas for us, that we disregarded it!" - for they shall bear on their backs the burden of their sins:` oh, how evil the load with which they shall be burdened!     Those who denied had lost with God's meeting until when the Hour/Resurrection came to them82suddenly, they said: "Oh, our grief/sorrow on what we neglected/wasted in it." And they are carrying their sins on their backs, is it not evil/harmful what they carry/bear?     qd Ksr alXyn kXbwa blqa' allh Hti aXa ja'thm alsa`+ bGt+ qalwa yaHsrtna `li mafrTna fyha whm yHmlwn awzarhm `li Zhwrhm ala sa' mayzrwn
 
32.  *     What is the life of this world but play and amusement? But best is the home in the hereafter, for those who are righteous. Will ye not then understand?     And nothing is the life of this world but a play  and a passing delight; and the life in the hereafter is by far the better for all who are conscious of God. Will you not, then, use your reason?     And the life the present/worldly life is not except playing/amusement/enjoyment and play things, and (the) end's (other life's) house/home (E) (is) better to those who fear and obey, so do you not reason/understand?     wmaalHya+ aldnya ala l`b wlhw wlldar alaKr+ Kyr llXyn ytqwn afla t`qlwn
 
33.  *     We know indeed the grief which their words do cause thee: It is not thee they reject: it is the signs of God, which the wicked contemn.     Well do We know that what such people say22 grieves thee indeed: yet, behold, it is not thee to whom they give the lie, but God's messages do these evildoers deny.     We had known that it saddens you (E) what they say, so they truly do not deny you, and but the unjust/oppressors, (are) disbelieving and denying with God's verses/evidences.     qd n`lm anh lyHznk alXy yqwlwn fanhm laykXbwnk wlkn alZalmyn bayat allh yjHdwn
 
34.  *     Rejected were the apostles before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of God. Already hast thou received some account o f those apostles.     And, indeed, [even] before thy time have apostles been given the lie, and they endured with patience all those charges of falsehood, and all the hurt done to them, till succour came unto them from Us: for there is no power that could alter [the outcome of] God's promises. And some of the histories of those apostles have already come within thy ken."     And messengers from before you had been lied to/denied, so they were patient on what they were denied (rejected) and they were harmed mildly, until Our victory/aid came to them, and (there is) no exchanger to God's words/expressions; and from the messengers' information/news had come to you.     wlqd kXbt rsl mn qblk fSbrwa `li makXbwa wawXwa Hti atahm nSrna wlambdl lklmat allh wlqd ja'k mn nbA almrslyn
 
35.  *     If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were God's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou a mongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)!     And if it distress thee that those who deny the truth 14 turn their backs on thee - why, then, if thou art able to go down deep into the earth or to ascend a ladder unto heaven in order to bring them a [yet more convincing] message, [do so;] but [remember that] had God so willed, He would indeed have gathered them all unto [His] guidance. Do not, therefore, allow thyself to ignore [God's ways].     And if their objection/opposition has become a burden on you, so if you were able, that (E) you desire/wish a tunnel in the earth/Planet Earth, or a ladder in the sky/space, so you come to them with a verse/evidence, and if God wanted/willed He would have gathered/collected them on the guidance, so do not be (E) from the ignorant/lowly (P).     wan kan kbr `lyk a`raDhm fan astT`t an tbtGy nfqa fy alarD aw slma fy alsma' ftatyhm bay+ wlw $a' allh ljm`hm `li alhdi fla tkwnn mn aljahlyn
 
36.  *     Those who listen (in truth), be sure, will accept: as to the dead, God will raise them up; then will they be turned unto Him.     Only they who listen [with their hearts] can respond to a call; and as for the dead [of heart], God [alone] can raise them from the dead, whereupon unto Him they shall return.'     But those who hear/listen answer/reply, and the deads, God sends/resurrects/revives them, then to Him they return.     anma ystjyb alXyn ysm`wn walmwti yb`xhm allh xm alyh yrj`wn
 
37.  *     They say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "God hath certainly power to send down a sign: but most of them understand not.     And they say, "Why has no miraculous sign been bestowed on him' from on high by his Sustainer?" Say: "Behold, God has the power to bestow any sign from on high."  Yet most human beings are unaware of this-     And they said: "If only a sign/verse/evidence was descended on him from his Lord." Say: "That God (is) capable that on to descend a sign/verse/evidence." And but most of them do not know.     wqalwa lwla nzl `lyh ay+ mn rbh ql an allh qadr `li an ynzl ay+ wlkn akxrhm lay`lmwn
 
38.  *     There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end.     although there is no beast that walks on earth and no bird that flies on its two wings which is not [God's] creature" like yourselves: no single thing have We neglected in Our decree.  And once again:" Unto their Sustainer shall they [all] be gathered.     And (there is) not from a walker/creeper/crawler (creature) in the earth/Planet Earth and nor (a) bird (that) flies with its two wings, except (they are) nations similar/equal to you, We did not neglect/waste in The Book from a thing, then to their Lord they be gathered.     wmamn dab+ fy alarD wlaTaYr yTyr bjnaHyh ala amm amxalkm mafrTna fy alktab mn $Y xm ali rbhm yH$rwn
 
39.  *     Those who reject our sings are deaf and dumb,- in the midst of darkness profound: whom God willeth, He leaveth to wander: whom He willeth, He placeth on the way that is straight.     And they who give the lie to Our messages are deaf and dumb, in darkness deep. Whomever God wills, He lets go astray; and whomever He wills, He places upon a straight way."     And those who lied/denied with Our verses/signs/evidences (they are) deaf and mute in the darknesses; whom God wants/wills He misguides him, and whom He wants/wills, He puts him on a straight/direct road/way     walXyn kXbwa bayatna Sm wbkm fy alZlmat mn y$aallh yDllh wmn y$a yj`lh `li SraT mstqym
 
40.  *     Say: "Think ye to yourselves, if there come upon you the wrath of God, or the Hour (that ye dread), would ye then call upon other than God?- (reply) if ye are truthful!     Say: "Can you see yourselves invoking any but God when God's chastisement befalls you [in this world], or the Last Hour comes upon you? [Tell me this,] if you are men of truth!     Say: "Did I show you/make you understand, if God's torture came to you, or the Hour/Resurrection came to you, is (it) other than God you call, if you are/were truthful?"     ql araytkm an atakm `Xab allh aw attkm alsa`+ aGyr allh td`wn an kntm Sadqyn
 
41.  *     "Nay,- On Him would ye call, and if it be His will, He would remove (the distress) which occasioned your call upon Him, and ye would forget (the false gods) which ye join with Him!"     Nay, but it is Him alone that you will invoke - whereupon He may, if He so wills, remove that [ill] which caused you to call unto Him; and you will have forgotten all that. to which you [now] ascribe divinity side by side with Him."     But (only) Him you call, so He removes/uncovers what you call to (for) it, if He wants/wills, and you forget what you share/make partners (with God).     bl ayah td`wn fyk$f matd`wn alyh an $a' wtnswn mat$rkwn
 
42.  *     Before thee We sent (apostles) to many nations, and We afflicted the nations with suffering and adversity, that they might learn humility.     And, indeed, We sent Our messages unto people before thy time, [O Prophet,] and visited them with misfortune and hardship so that they might humble themselves:     And We had sent to nations from before you, so We took/punished them with the misery/hardship/fear and the calamity, maybe they become humble and humiliate themselves (to God).     wlqd arslna ali amm mn qblk faKXnahm balbasa' walDra' l`lhm ytDr`wn
 
43.  *     When the suffering reached them from us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary their hearts became hardened, and Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them.     yet when the misfortune decreed by Us befell them, they did not humble themselves, but rather their hearts grew hard, for Satan had made all their doings seem goodly to them.     So where it not for when Our might came to them, they became humble and humiliated themselves, and but their hearts/minds became cruel/merciless, and the devil decorated/beautified for them what they were making/doing.     flwla aX ja'hm basna tDr`wa wlkn qst qlwbhm wzyn lhm al$yTan ma kanwa y`mlwn
 
44.  *     But when they forgot the warning they had received, We opened to them the gates of all (good) things, until, in the midst of their enjoyment of Our gifts, on a sudden, We called them to account, when lo! they were plunged in despair!     Then, when they had forgotten all that they had been told to take to heart, We threw open to them the gates of all [good] things' 3 until -even as they were rejoicing in what they had been granted - We suddenly took them to task: and lo! they were broken in spirit;"     So when they forgot what they were reminded with it, We opened on them every thing's doors/entrances, until when they became happy/delighted with what they were given, (then) We took/punished them suddenly, so then they are confused/dumbfounded.     flma nswa maXkrwa bh ftHna `lyhm abwab kl $Y Hti aXa frHwa bmaawtwa aKXnahm bGt+ faXa hm mblswn
 
45.  *     Of the wrong-doers the last remnant was cut off. Praise be to God, the Cherisher of the worlds.     and [in the end,] the last remnant of those folk who had been bent on evildoing was wiped out." For all praise is due to God, the Sustainer of all the worlds.     So (it was) cut off/separated (the) root/remainder (of) the nation those who caused injustice/oppression, and the praise/gratitude (is) to God the creations altogether's/(universe's) Lord.     fqT` dabr alqwm alXyn Zlmwa walHmd llh rb al`almyn
 
46.  *     Say: "Think ye, if God took away your hearing and your sight, and sealed up your hearts, who - a god other than God - could restore them to you?" See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); yet they turn aside.     Say: "What do you think? If God should take away your hearing and your sight and seal your hearts - what deity but God is there that could bring it all back to you?"  Behold how many facets We give to Our messages-and yet they turn away in disdain!     Say: "Did you see/understand, if God took your sense of hearing and your eye sights/understanding, and sealed/stamped on your hearts/minds, which god other than God comes to you with it?" 47.  *     Say: "Think ye, if the punishment of God comes to you, whether suddenly or openly, will any be destroyed except those who do wrong?     Say: "Can you imagine what your condition will be' if God's chastisement befalls you, either suddenly or in a [gradually] perceptible manner? [But then-] will any but evildoing folk [ever] be destroyed?"     Say: "Did I show you, if God's torture came to you suddenly or publicly/loudly, does except the nation the unjust/oppressors be destroyed?"     ql araytkm an atakm `Xab allh bGt+ aw jhr+ hl yhlk ala alqwm alZalmwn
 
48.  *     We send the apostles only to give good news and to warn: so those who believe and mend (their lives),- upon them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.     And We send [Our] message-bearers only as heralds of glad tidings and as warners: hence, all who believe and live righteously -no fear need they have, and neither shall they grieve;     And We do not sent the messengers except (as) announcers of good news and warners/givers of notice, so who believed and corrected/repaired, so no fear on them and nor they be sad/grievous.     wmanrsl almrslyn ala mb$ryn wmnXryn fmn amn waSlH flaKwf `lyhm wlahm yHznwn
 
49.  *     But those who reject our signs,- them shall punishment touch, for that they ceased not from transgressing.     whereas those who give the lie to Our messages - suffering will afflict them in result of all their sinful doings.     And those who denied/falsified with Our verses/evidences, the torture touches them because of what they were debauching.     walXyn kXbwa bayatna ymshm al`Xab bma kanwa yfsqwn
 
50.  *     Say: "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of God, nor do I know what is hidden, nor do I tell you I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me." Say: "can the blind be held equal to the seeing?" Will ye then consider not?     Say [O Prophet]: "I do not say unto you, 'God's treasures are with me,'; nor [do I say], 'I know the things that are beyond the reach of human perception'; nor do I say unto you, 'Behold, I am an angel': I but follow what is revealed to me."8  Say: "Can the blind and the.seeing be deemed equal?" Will you not, then, take thought?"     Say: "I do not say to you, at me (are) God's safes/storages (treasures), and I do not know the unseen/absent,and I do not say to you that I am (an) angel/king/owner, that I follow except what (is) transmitted/revealed to me." 51.  *     Give this warning to those in whose (hearts) is the fear that they will be brought (to judgment) before their Lord: except for Him they will have no protector nor intercessor: that they may guard (against evil).     And warn hereby those who fear lest they be gathered unto their Sustainer with none to protect them from Him or to intercede with Him, so that they might become [fully] conscious of Him.'  truths.     And warn with it those who fear that they be gathered to their Lord, (there) is not for them a guardian, and nor a mediator other than Him, maybe they fear and obey.     wanXr bh alXyn yKafwn an yH$rwa ali rbhm lys lhm mn dwnh wly wla$fy` l`lhm ytqwn
 
52.  *     Send not away those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His face. In naught art thou accountable for them, and in naught are they accountable for thee, that thou shouldst turn them away, and thus be (one) of the unjust.     Hence, repulse not [any of] those who at morn and evening invoke their Sustainer, seeking His countenance." Thou art in no wise accountable for them-just as they are in no wise accountable forthee°Z -and thou hast therefore no right to repullse them: for then thou wouldst be among the evildoers.°'     And do not expel/drive away those who call their Lord with the early mornings and the evening,they want His face/direction, their account is not on you from a thing, and your account is not on them from a thing, so you expel them/drive them away, so you be from the unjust/oppressive (P).     wlatTrd alXyn yd`wn rbhm balGda+ wal`$y yrydwn wjhh ma`lyk mn Hsabhm mn $Y wmamn Hsabk `lyhm mn $Y ftTrdhm ftkwn mn alZalmyn
 
53.  *     Thus did We try some of them by comparison with others, that they should say: "Is it these then that God hath favoured from amongst us?" Doth not God know best those who are grateful?     For it is in this way" that We try men through one another - to the end that they might ask, "Has God, then, bestowed His favour upon those others in preference to us?"4s Does not God know best as to who is grateful [to Him]?     And like that We tested/allured some of them with some, to say (P): "Are those (who) God blessed on them from between us?" Is God not more knowing with the thankful/grateful?     wkXlk ftna b`Dhm bb`D lyqwlwa ahWla' mn allh `lyhm mn bynna alys allh ba`lm bal$akryn
 
54.  *     When those come to thee who believe in Our signs, Say: "Peace be on you: Your Lord hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) mercy: verily, if any of you did evil in ignorance, and thereafter repented, and amend (his conduct), lo! He is Oft- for giving, Most Merciful.     And when those who believe in Our messages come unto thee, say: "Peace be upon you. Your Sustainer has willed upon Himself the law of grace and mercy°6 - so that if any of you does a bad deed out of ignorance, and thereafter repents and lives right  death (Zamakhshari), as well as to agnostics who, without having definite beliefs on this point, admit the possibility of life after death.  eously, He shall be [found] much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace."     And if those who believe came to you with Our verses/evidences, so say: "A greeting/peace on you, your Lord decreed on Himself the mercy, that who from you made/did bad/evil/harm with ignorance/foolishness, then he repented from after it, and corrected/repaired, so that He truly is a forgiver, merciful."     waXa ja'k alXyn yWmnwn bayatna fql slam `lykm ktb rbkm `li nfsh alrHm+ anh mn `ml mnkm sw' bjhal+ xm tab mn b`dh waSlH fanh Gfwr rHym
 
55.  *     Thus do We explain the signs in detail: that the way of the sinners may be shown up.     And thus clearly do We spell out Our messages: and [We do it] so that the path of those who are lost in sin might be distinct [from that of the righteous].     And like that We explain/clarify the verses/evidences, and to clarify/show/explain the criminal's/sinner's path/road.     wkXlk nfSl alayat wltstbyn sbyl almjrmyn
 
56.  *     Say: "I am forbidden to worship those - others than God - whom ye call upon." Say: "I will not follow your wain desires: If I did, I would stray from the path, and be not of the company of those who receive guidance."     SAY [to the deniers of the truth]: "Behold, I have been forbidden to worship those [beings] whom you invoke instead of God."  Say: "I do not follow your errant views -or else I should have gone astray, and should not be among those who have found the right path."     Say: "That I, I was forbidden/prevented that I worship those who you call from other than God." Say: "I do not follow your self attractions for desires I had then become misguided, and I am not from the guided."     ql any nhyt an a`bd alXyn td`wn mn dwn allh ql laatb` ahwa'km qd Dllt aXa wma ana mn almhtdyn
 
57.  *     Say: "For me, I (work) on a clear sign from my Lord, but ye reject Him. What ye would see hastened, is not in my power. The command rests with none but God: He declares the truth, and He is the best of judges."     Say: "Behold, I take my stand on a clear evidence from my Sustainer-and [so] it is to Him that you are giving the lie! Not in my power is that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand:" judgment rests with none but God. He shall declare the truth, since it is He who is the best judge between truth and falsehood."     Say: "That I (am) on an evidence from my Lord, and you denied/falsified with it; at me is not what you hurry/urge with it, that the judgment/rule (is) except to God, He narrates/informs the truth, and He (is) best (of) the judges/separators."     ql any `li byn+ mn rby wkXbtm bh ma`ndy matst`jlwn bh an alHkm ala llh yqS alHq whw Kyr alfaSlyn
 
58.  *     Say: "If what ye would see hastened were in my power, the matter would be settled at once between you and me. But God knoweth best those who do wrong."     Say: "If that which you so hastily demand were in my power, everything would indeed have been decided between me and you." But God knows best as to who is doing wrong."     Say: "If that at me (is) what you hurry/urge with it, the matter/affair would have been executed/carried out between me and between you, and God (is) more knowing with the unjust/oppressors."     ql lw an `ndy matst`jlwn bh lqDy alamr byny wbynkm wallh a`lm balZalmyn
 
59.  *     With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, n or anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).     For, with Him are the keys to the things that are beyond the reach of a created being's perception: none knows them but He.  And He knows all that is on land and in the sea; and not a leaf falls but He knows it; and neither is there a grain in the earth's deep darkness, nor anything: living or dead,49 but is recorded in [His] clear decree     And at Him (are) the unseen's/absent's/super natural's keys/treasures, no (one) knows it except He, and He knows what (is) in the land/shore and the sea/ocean, and (nothing) from a leaf/piece of paper does not fall/drop except He knows it, and nor a seed/grain in the earth's darknesses and nor soft/ripe, and nor dry (hard) except (it is documented) in (an) evident Book.     w`ndh mfatH alGyb lay`lmha ala hw wy`lm mafy albr walbHr wmatsqT mn wrq+ ala y`lmha wlaHb+ fy Zlmat alarD wlarTb wlayabs ala fy ktab mbyn
 
60.  *     It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.     And He it is who causes you to be [like] dead at night, and knows what you work in daytime; and He brings you back to life each days` in order that a term set [by Him] be fulfilled. In the end, unto Him you must return: and then He will make you understand all that you were doing [in life].     And He is who makes you die at the night and He knows what you earned/committed at the daytime, then He resurrects/revives you in it to be executed/carried out an identified (specified) term/time, then to Him (is) your return, then He informs you with what you were making/doing.84     whw alXy ytwfakm ballyl wy`lm majrHtm balnhar xm yb`xkm fyh lyqDy ajl msmy xm alyh mrj`km xm ynbYkm bma kntm t`mlwn
 
61.  *     He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers, and He sets guardians over you. At length, when death approaches one of you, Our angels take his soul, and they never fail in their duty.     And He alone holds sway over His servants.  And He sends forth heavenly forces to watch over you" until, when death approaches any of you, Our messengers cause him to die: and they do not overlook [anyone].     And He is the defeater/conqueror over His worshippers/slaves, and He sends on you caretakers/keepers/angels until if the death came (to) any of you, Our messengers made him die, and they do not neglect/waste.     whw alqahr fwq `badh wyrsl `lykm HfZ+ Hti aXa ja' aHdkm almwt twfth rslna whm layfrTwn
 
62.  *     Then are men returned unto God, their protector, the (only) reality: Is not His the command? and He is the swiftest in taking account.     And they [who have died] are thereupon brought before God," their true Lord Supreme. Oh, verily, His alone is all judgment: and He is the swiftest of all reckoners!     Then they were returned to God their correct/real owner/master; is it not to Him the judgment/rule? And He is the counter's/calculator's faster (fastest).     xm rdwa ali allh mwlahm alHq ala lh alHkm whw asr` alHasbyn
 
63.  *     Say: "Who is it that delivereth you from the dark recesses of land and sea, when ye call upon Him in humility and silent terror: 'If He only delivers us from these (dangers), (we vow) we shall truly show our gratitude'.?"     Say: "Who is it that saves you from the dark dangers 14 of land and sea [when] you call unto Him humbly, and in the secrecy of your hearts, `If He will but save us from this [distress], we shall most certainly be among the grateful'?"     Say: "Who saves/rescues you from (the) darknesses (of) the land/shore and the sea/ocean, you call Him humbly and humiliated and secretly: "If (E) He saved/rescued us from this we will become (E) from the thankful/grateful."     ql mn ynjykm mn Zlmat albr walbHr td`wnh tDr`a wKfy+ lYn anjana mn hXh lnkwnn mn al$akryn
 
64.  *     Say "It is God that delivereth you from these and all (other) distresses: and yet ye worship false gods!"     Say: "God [alone] can save you from this and from every distress - and still you ascribe divinity to other powers beside Him!"     Say: "God saves/rescues you from it, and from every grief, hardship and suffering, then you are sharing/making partners (with God)."     ql allh ynjykm mnha wmn kl krb xm antm t$rkwn
 
65.  *     Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance - each from the other." See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); that they ma y understand.     Say: "It is He alone who has the power to let loose upon you suffering from above you or from beneath your feet," or to confound you with mutual discord and let you taste the fear of one another."  Behold how many facets We give to these messages, so that they might understand the truth;     Say: "He is the capable on that He sends on you a torture, from above you, or from beneath your feet, or He mixes/confuses you (into) groups/parties, and makes some of you taste/experience (the) courage/might (of) some, look/consider/perceive how We elaborate linguistically the verses/evidences, maybe they understand/learn."     ql hw alqadr `li an yb`x `lykm `Xaba mn fwqkm aw mn tHt arjlkm aw ylbskm $y`a wyXyq b`Dkm bas b`D anZr kyf nSrf alayat l`lhm yfqhwn
 
66.  *     But thy people reject this, though it is the truth. Say: "Not mine is the responsibility for arranging your affairs;     and yet, to all this thy peoples' have given the lie, although it is the truth.  Say [then]: "I am not responsible for your conduct.     And your nation denied/lied/falsified with it, and it is the truth. Say: "I am not with a protector/guardian on (for) you."     wkXb bh qwmk whw alHq ql lst `lykm bwkyl
 
67.  *     For every message is a limit of time, and soon shall ye know it."     Every tiding [from God] has a term set for its fulfilment: and in time you will come to know [the truth]."     To each information/news (is a) settlement/affixation (time) and you will/shall know.     lkl nbA mstqr wswf t`lmwn
 
68.  *     When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong.     NOW, whenever thou meet such as indulge in [blasphemous] talk about Our messages, turn thy back upon them until they begin to talk of other things;sa and if Satan should ever cause thee to forget [thyself], remain not, after recollection, in the company of such evildoing folk,     And if you saw those who plunge into/engage in conversation (interpreting beyond the actual Koranic text) in Our verses/evidences, so turn away from them until they plunge into/engage in conversation in an information/speech other than it, and if the devil makes you forget, so do not sit/remain after the remembrance/reminder with the nation, the unjust/oppressive.     waXa rayt alXyn yKwDwn fy ayatna fa`rD `nhm Hty yKwDwa fy Hdyx Gyrh wama ynsynk al$yTan flatq`d b`d alXkri m` alqwm alZalmyn
 
69.  *     On their account no responsibility falls on the righteous, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (learn to) fear God.     for whom those who are conscious of God are in no wise accountable. Theirs, however, is the duty to admonish [the sinners],59 so that they might become conscious of God.     And there is not from a thing on those who fear and obey (God) from their account/calculation (those who fear and obey God need not worry about their account), and but (it is) a remembrance/reminder, maybe they fear and obey.     wma`li alXyn ytqwn mn Hsabhm mn $Y wlkn Xkri l`lhm ytqwn
 
70.  *     Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protec tor or intercessor except God: if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting God.     And leave to themselves all those who, beguiled by the life of this world, have made play and passing delights their religion;° but remind [them] herewith that [in the life to come] every human being shall be held in pledge for whatever wrong he has done, and shall have none to protect him from God, and none to intercede for him; and though he offer any conceivable ransom, it shall not be accepted from him. It is [people such as] these that shall be held in pledge for the wrong they have done; for them there is [in the life to come] a draught of burning despair,62 and grievous suffering awaits them because of their persistent refusal to acknowledge the truth.     And leave those who took their religion playing/amusement and a play thing/amusement, and the life the present/worldly life has deceived/tempted them, and remind them with it, that a self be exposed/made to surrender to destruction because (of) what it earned/acquired, (there) is not a guardian for it, and nor a mediator from other than God, and if it ransoms/redeems every ransom/redemption (it will) not be taken from it, those are those who were exposed/made to surrender to destruction because (of) what they earned/acquired, for them (is) a drink from hot water/sweat, and a painful torture because (or) what they were disbelieving.     wXr alXyn atKXwa dynhm l`ba wlhwa wGrthm alHya+ aldnya wXkr bh an tbsl nfs bma ksbt lys lha mn dwn allh wly wla$fy` wan t`dl kl `dl layWKX mnha awlYk alXyn abslwa bma ksbwa lhm $rab mn Hmym w`Xab alym bma kanwa ykfrwn
 
71.  *     Say: "Shall we indeed call on others besides God,- things that can do us neither good nor harm,- and turn on our heels after receiving guidance from God? - like one whom the evil ones have made into a fool, wandering bewildered through the ear th, his friends calling, come to us', (vainly) guiding him to the path." Say: "God's guidance is the (only) guidance, and we have been directed to submit ourselves to the Lord of the worlds;-     SAY: "Shall we invoke, instead of God, something that can neither benefit us nor harm us, and [thus] turn around on our heels after God has guided us aright?-like one whom the satans have enticed into blundering after earthly lusts, the while his companions, trying to guide him, call out unto him [from afar] ,63 'Come thou to us!'"  Say: "Verily, God's guidance is the only guidance: and so we have been bidden to surrender ourselves unto the Sustainer of all the worlds,     Say: "Do we call from other than God what does not benefit us, and nor harms us, and we be returned on our heels, after when God guided us, as/like whom the devil tempted/allured him, in the earth/Planet Earth, confused/bewildered, for him (are) friends/company, they call him to the guidance: 'Come to us.'" Say: "That God's guidance, it is the guidance, and we were ordered/commanded to surrender to the creations altogether's/(universes') Lord."     ql and`wa mn dwn allh mala ynf`na wlayDrna wnrd `li a`qabna b`d aX hdana allh kalXy asthwth al$yaTyn fy alarD Hyran lh aSHab yd`wnh ali alhdi aYtna ql an hdi allh hw alhdi wamrna lnslm lrb al`almyn
 
72.  *     "To establish regular prayers and to fear God: for it is to Him that we shall be gathered together."     and to be constant in prayer and conscious of Him: for it is He unto whom you all shall be gathered."     And that keep up the prayers and fear and obey Him, and He is who to Him you are being gathered/collected.     wan aqymwa alSla+ watqwh whw alXy alyh tH$rwn
 
73.  *     It is He who created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): the day He saith, "Be," behold! it is. His word is the truth. His will be the dominion the day the trumpet will be blown. He knoweth the unseen as well as that which is open. For He is the Wise, well acquainted (with all things).     And He it is who has created the heavens and the earth in accordance with [an inner] truth" - and whenever He says, "Be," His word comes true; and His will be the dominion on the Day when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown.  He knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception, as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind :65 for He alone is truly wise, all-aware.     And He is who created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth with the truth, and a day He says: "Be." For I see thee and thy people in manifest error."     AND, LO, [thus] spoke Abraham unto his father Azar:' "Takest thou idols for gods? Verily, I see that thou and thy people have obviously gone astray!"     And when Abraham said to his father, Azar: "Do you take idols (as) gods? 76.  *     When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "I love not those that set."     Then, when the night overshadowed him with its darkness, he beheld a star;., [and] he exclaimed, "This is my Sustainer!" -but when it went down, he said, "I love not the things that go down."     So when the night darkened on him, he saw a star/planet, he said: "That (is) my lord." 77.  *     When he saw the moon rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord." But when the moon set, He said: "unless my Lord guide me, I shall surely be among those who go astray."     Then, when he beheld the moon rising, he said, "This is my Sustainer!"-but when it went down, he said, "Indeed, if my Sustainer guide me not. 78.  *     When he saw the sun rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord; this is the greatest (of all)." But when the sun set, he said: "O my people! I am indeed free from your (guilt) of giving partners to God.     Then, when he beheld the sun rising, he said, "This is my Sustainer! This one is the greatest [of all]!" - but when it [too] went down, he exclaimed: "O my people! Behold, far be it from me to ascribe divinity, as you do, to aught beside God!     So when he saw the sun rising/emerging, he said: "That (is) my lord, that (is) bigger." 79.  *     "For me, I have set my face, firmly and truly, towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to God."     Behold, unto Him who brought into being the heavens and the earth have I turned my face, having turned away from all that is false; and I am not of those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him."     That I aimed/turned my face/front to who created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth (as) a submitter/Unifier of God, and I am not from the sharers/makers of partners (with God).     any wjht wjhy llXy fTr alsmawat walarD Hnyfa wmaana mn alm$rkyn
 
80.  *     His people disputed with him. He said: "(Come) ye to dispute with me, about God, when He (Himself) hath guided me? I fear not (the beings) ye associate with God: Unless my Lord willeth, (nothing can happen). My Lord comprehendeth in His knowle dge all things. Will ye not (yourselves) be admonished?     And his people argued with him. He said: "Do you argue with me about God, when it is He who has guided me? But I do not fear anything to which you ascribe divinity side by side with Him, [for no evil can befall me] unless my Sustainer so wills.b' All things does my Sustainer embrace within His knowledge; will you not, then, keep this in mind?     And his nation disputed with him, he said: "Do you argue/dispute with me in God and He had guided me, and I do not fear what you share/make partners (with God) with it, except that my lord wills/wants a thing, my lord spread/enriched every thing (in) knowledge, so do you not think?"     wHajh qwmh qal atHajwny fy allh wqd hdan wlaaKaf mat$rkwn bh ala an y$a' rby $yYa ws` rby kl $Y `lma afla ttXkrwn
 
81.  *     "How should I fear (the beings) ye associate with God, when ye fear not to give partners to God without any warrant having been given to you? Which of (us) two parties hath more right to security? (tell me) if ye know.     And why should I fear anything that you worship side by  side with Him, seeing that you are not afraid of ascribing divinity to other powers beside God without His ever having bestowed upon you from on high any warrant therefor? [Tell me,] then, which of the two parties has a better right to feel secure -if you happen to know [the answer]?     And how (do) I fear what you shared/made partners (with God), and you (P) (do) not fear that you shared/made partners with God what He did not descend with it on you (from) a proof/evidence ? 84.  *     We gave him Isaac and Jacob: all (three) guided: and before him, We guided Noah, and among his progeny, David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron: thus do We reward those who do good:     And We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob; and We guided each of them as We had guided Noah aforetime. 88.  *     This is the guidance of God: He giveth that guidance to whom He pleaseth, of His worshippers. 89.  *     These were the men to whom We gave the Book, and authority, and prophethood: if these (their descendants) reject them, Behold! 90.  *     Those were the (prophets) who received God's guidance: Copy the guidance they received; Say: "No reward for this do I ask of you: This is no less than a message for the nations."     to those whom God has guided. Follow,  then, their guidance, [and] say: "No reward do I ask of you for this [truth]: behold, it is but an admonition unto all mankind!"     Those are, those who God guided, so with their guidance, I follow/imitate (their) example, so I do not ask/demand of you a reward/wage/fee, that truly it is except a remembrance/reminder to the creations altogether/(universes).     awlYk alXyn hdi allh fbhdahm aqtdh ql laasAlkm `lyh ajra an hw ala Xkri ll`almyn
 
91.  *     No just estimate of God do they make when they say: "Nothing doth God send down to man (by way of revelation)" Say: "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought?- a light and guidance to man: But ye make it into (separate) sheets for show, while ye conceal much (of its contents): therein were ye taught that which ye knew not- neither ye nor your fathers." Say: "God (sent it down)": Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling.     For, no true understanding of God have they when they say, "Never has God revealed anything unto man." Say: "Who has bestowed from on high the divine writ which Moses brought unto men as a light and a guidance, [and] which you treat as'2 [mere] leaves of paper, making a show of them the while you conceal [so] much - although you have been taught [by it] what neither you nor your forefathers had ever known?" Say: "God [has revealed that divine writ]!" - and then leave them to play at their vain talk.     And they did not evaluate God His correct/just value/estimation, when they said: "God did not descend on (a) human from a thing." Say: "Who descended The Book which Moses came with it, (as) a light and guidance to the people? You make it papers/parchments, you show it and you hide much, and you were taught/instructed what you did not know, you and nor your fathers/forefathers." Say: "God." 92.  *     And this is a Book which We have sent down, bringing blessings, and confirming (the revelations) which came before it: that thou mayest warn the mother of cities and all around her. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in this (Book), an d they are constant in guarding their prayers.     And this, too, is a divine writ which We have bestowed from on high - blessed, confirming the truth of whatever there still remains [of earlier revelations]'° -and [this] in order that thou mayest warn the foremost of all cities and all who dwell around it." 93.  *     Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against God, or saith, "I have received inspiration," when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, "I can reveal the like of what God hath revealed"? If thou couldst but see how the wicke d (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death! - the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying),"Yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward,- a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against God, and scornfully to reject of Hi s signs!"     And who could be more wicked than he who invents a lie about God,' or says, "This has been revealed unto me," the while nothing has been revealed to him? - or he who says, "I, too, can bestow from on high the like of what God has bestowed"?"  If thou couldst but see [how it will be] when these evildoers find themselves in the agonies of death, and the angels stretch forth their hands [and call]: "Give up your souls! Today you shall be requited with the suffering of humiliation for having attributed to God something that is not true, and for having persistently scorned His messages in your arrogance!"     And who (is) more unjust/oppressive than who fabricated on God lies/falsifications, or he said: "Was inspired/transmitted to me." And was not inspired/transmitted to him a thing, and who said: "I will descend equal/alike (to) what God descended". 94.  *     "And behold! ye come to us bare and alone as We created you for the first time: ye have left behind you all (the favours) which We bestowed on you: We see not with you your intercessors whom ye thought to be partners in your affairs: so now al l relations between you have been cut off, and your (pet) fancies have left you in the lurch!"     [And God shall say:] "And now, indeed, you have come unto Us in a lonely state, even as We created you in the first instance; and you have left behind you all that We bestowed on you [in your lifetime]. And We do not see with you those intercessors of yours whom you supposed to have a share in God's divinity with regard to yourselves. 95.  *     It is God Who causeth the seed-grain and the date-stone to split and sprout. He causeth the living to issue from the dead, and He is the one to cause the dead to issue from the living. That is God: then how are ye deluded away from the truth?     VERILY, God is the One who cleaves the grain and the fruit-kernel asunder, bringing forth the living out of that which is dead, and He is the One who brings forth the dead out of that which is alive. This, then, is God: and yet, how perverted are your minds!".     That God (is) splitter (of) the seed/grain and the kernel/nucleuses (and) He brings out the live/alive from the dead, and (He is) bringing out the dead from the live/alive, that one (is) God, so how (do) you lie/turn away.     an allh falq alHb walnwi yKrj alHy mn almyt wmKrj almyt mn alHy Xlkm allh fani tWfkwn
 
96.  *     He it is that cleaveth the day-break (from the dark): He makes the night for rest and tranquillity, and the sun and moon for the reckoning (of time): Such is the judgment and ordering of (Him), the Exalted in Power, the Omniscient.     [He is] the One who causes the dawn to break; and He has made the night to be [a source of] stillness, and the sun and the moon to run their appointed courses:" [all] this is laid down by the will of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.     Splitter (of) the morning/day break and He made the night tranquillity/security/residence and the sun and the moon counting/calculating, that (is) predestination (of) the glorious/mighty, the knowledgeable.     falq alaSbaH wj`l allyl skna wal$ms walqmr Hsbana Xlk tqdyr al`zyz al`lym
 
97.  *     It is He Who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our signs for people who know.     And He it is who has set up for you the stars so that you might be guided by them in the midst of the deep darkness of land and sea: clearly, indeed, have We spelled out these messages unto people of [innate] knowledge!     And He is who made/created for you the stars/planets to be guided with it in the shore's/land's and the sea's darknesses, We had detailed/explained the evidences/verses to a nation knowing.     whw alXy j`l lkm alnjwm lthtdwa bha fy Zlmat albr walbHr qd fSlna alayat lqwm y`lmwn
 
98.  *     It is He Who hath produced you from a single person: here is a place of sojourn and a place of departure: We detail Our signs for people who understand.     And He it is who has brought you [all] into being out of one living entity," and [has appointed for each of you] a time-limit [on earth] and a restingplace [after death] :s3 clearly, indeed, have We spelled out these messages unto people who can grasp the truth!     And He is who created/formed you from one (F) self, so a settled/established and depository/storage place/womb, We had detailed/explained the evidences/verses to a nation understanding/knowing/learning.     whw alXy an$akm mn nfs waHd+ fmstqr wmstwd` qd fSlna alayat lqwm yfqhwn
 
99.  *     It is He Who sendeth down rain from the skies: with it We produce vegetation of all kinds: from some We produce green (crops), out of which We produce grain, heaped up (at harvest); out of the date-palm and its sheaths (or spathes) (come) clus ters of dates hanging low and near: and (then there are) gardens of grapes, and olives, and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety): when they begin to bear fruit, feast your eyes with the fruit and the ripeness thereof. Behold! in these things there are signs for people who believe.     And He it is who has caused waters to come down from the sky; and by this means have We brought forth all living growth, and out of this have We brought forth verdure." Out of this do We bring forth close-growing grain; and out of the spathe of the palm tree, dates in thick clusters; and gardens of vines, and the olive tree, and the pomegranate: [all] so alike, and yet so different!$' Behold their fruit when it comes to fruition and ripens! Verily, in all this there are messages indeed for people who will believe!     And He is who descended from the sky water, so We brought out/made emerge with it every thing's plant, so We brought out/made emerge from it green, We bring out/make emerge from it seeds/grains overlapping,and from the palm trees from its first fruit of the season/cover enveloping the fertilizing seed, near branches with87bunches of dates, and treed gardens from grapes, and the olives, and the pomegranate, similar/resembling and not similar/resembling, look/consider to its fruit if/where/when it bears/yields fruit, and its ripeness/darkness, that in that (are) evidences/verses (E) to a nation believing.     whw alXy anzl mn alsma' ma' faKrjna bh nbat kl $Y faKrjna mnh KDra nKrj mnh Hba mtrakba wmn alnKl mn Tl`ha qnwan dany+ wjnat mn a`nab walzytwn walrman m$tbha wGyr mt$abh anZrwa ali xmrh aXa axmr wyn`h an fy Xlkm layat lqwm yWmnwn
 
100.  *     Yet they make the Jinns equals with God, though God did create the Jinns; and they falsely, having no knowledge, attribute to Him sons and daughters. Praise and glory be to Him! (for He is) above what they attribute to Him!     And yet, some [people] have come to attribute to all manner of invisible beings" a place side by side with God - although it is He who has created them [all]; and in their ignorance they have invented for Him sons and daughters!$'  Limitless is He is His glory, and sublimely exalted above anything that men may devise by way of definition:'$     And they made/created to God partners (from) the Jinns and He created them, and they lied (invented lies) for Him, sons and daughters, without knowledge, His praise/glory! 101.  *     To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort? 102.  *     That is God, your Lord! there is no god but He, the Creator of all things: then worship ye Him: and He hath power to dispose of all affairs.     Such is God, your Sustainer: there is no deity save Him, the Creator of everything: worship, then, Him alone -for it is He who has everything in His care.     That one (is) God, your (P) Lord, no God except Him, creator (of) every thing, so worship Him, and He is on every thing a guardian/protector.     Xlkm allh rbkm laalh ala hw Kalq kl $Y fa`bdwh whw `li kl $Y wkyl
 
103.  *     No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things.     No human vision can encompass Him, whereas He encompasses all human vision: for He alone is unfathomable, all-aware."     The eye sights/knowledge do not comprehend/reach Him, and He comprehends/reaches the eye sights/knowledge, and He is the most kind/gracious, the expert/experienced.     latdrkh alabSar whw ydrk alabSar whw allTyf alKbyr
 
104.  *     "Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (to open your eyes): if any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; if any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) to watch over your doings."     Means of insight have now come unto you from your Sustainer [through this divine writ]. Whoever, therefore, chooses to see, does so for his own good; and whoever chooses to remain blind, does so to his own hurt. 105.  *     Thus do we explain the signs by various (symbols): that they may say, "Thou hast taught (us) diligently," and that We may make the matter clear to those who know.     ' And thus do We give many facets to Our messages. And to the end that they might say, "Thou hast taken [all this] well to heart,"9° and that We might make it clear unto people of [innate] knowledge,     And like that We elaborate linguistically the evidences/verses, and to say (P): "You studied/memorized/read." 106.  *     Follow what thou art taught by inspiration from thy Lord: there is no god but He: and turn aside from those who join gods with God.     follow thou what has been revealed unto thee by thy Sustainer - save whom there is no deity - and turn tthy back upon all who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him.     Follow what was inspired/transmitted to you, from your Lord, no God except Him, and object/turn away from the sharers/takers of partners (with God).     atb` maawHy alyk mn rbk laalh ala hw wa`rD `n alm$rkyn
 
107.  *     If it had been God's plan, they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs.     Yet if God had so willed, they would not have ascribed divinity to aught beside Him;9' hence, We have not made thee their keeper, and neither art thou responsible for their conduct.     And if God wanted/willed, they would not (have) shared/made partners (with God), and We did not make you a protector/observer on them, and you are not on them with a guardian.     wlw $a' allh maa$rkwa wmaj`lnak `lyhm HfyZa wmaant `lyhm bwkyl
 
108.  *     Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides God, lest they out of spite revile God in their ignorance. Thus have We made alluring to each people its own doings. In the end will they return to their Lord, and We shall then tell them the trut h of all that they did.     But do not revile those [beings] whom they invoke instead of God,92 lest they revile God out of spite, and in ignorance: for, goodly indeed have We made their own doings appear unto every community 9' In time, [however,] unto their Sustainer they must return: and then He will make them [truly] understand all that they were doing.     And do not insult/abuse/defame those who call from other than God, so they insult/abuse/defame God, transgression/violation without knowledge, like that We decorated/beautified to every nation/generation their work, then to their Lord (is) their return, so He informs them with what they were making/doing.     wlatsbwa alXyn yd`wn mn dwn allh fysbwa allh `dwa bGyr `lm kXlk zyna lkl am+ `mlhm xm ali rbhm mrj`hm fynbYhm bmakanwa y`mlwn
 
109.  *     They swear their strongest oaths by God, that if a (special) sign came to them, by it they would believe. Say: "Certainly (all) signs are in the power of God: but what will make you (Muslims) realise that (even) if (special) signs came, they wi ll not believe."?     Now they swear by God with their most solemn oaths that if a miracle were shown to them, they would indeed believe in this [divine writ]. Say: "Miracles are in the power of God alone."  And for all you know, even if one should be shown to them, they would not believe     And they swore/made oath by God their oath's utmost if (E) an evidence/verse came to them they will believe (E) with it, say: "But the verses/evidences (are) at God." And what makes you feel/know, that if it came, they do not believe?     waqsmwa ballh jhd aymanhm lYn ja'thm ay+ lyWmnn bha ql anma alayat `nd allh wmay$`rkm anha aXa ja't layWmnwn
 
110.  *     We (too) shall turn to (confusion) their hearts and their eyes, even as they refused to believe in this in the first instance: We shall leave them in their trespasses, to wander in distraction.     so long as We keep their hearts and their eyes turned [away from the truth],95 even as they did not believe in it in the first instance: and [so] We shall leave them in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro.     And We turn their hearts (minds) and their eye sights/understanding as they did not believe with it (the) first time, and We leave them in their tyranny/arrogance being confused/hesitant.     wnqlb afYdthm wabSarhm kma lm yWmnwa bh awl mr+ wnXrhm fy TGyanhm y`mhwn
 
111.  *     Even if We did send unto them angels, and the dead did speak unto them, and We gathered together all things before their very eyes, they are not the ones to believe, unless it is in God's plan. But most of them ignore (the truth).     And even if We were to send down angels unto them, and if the dead were to speak unto them' 96 and [even if] We were to assemble before them, face to face, all the things [that can prove the truth], they would still not believe unless God so willed 9' But [of this] most of them are entirely unaware.     And if that We descended to them the angels, and the deads talked (to) them, and We gathered on them every thing in front, they were not to believe, except that God wants/wills, and but most of them are being ignorant.     wlw anna nzlna alyhm almlaYk+ wklmhm almwti wH$rna `lyhm kl $Y qbla ma kanwa lyWmnwa ala an y$a' allh wlkn akxrhm yjhlwn
 
112.  *     Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy,- evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception. If thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions al one.     AND THUS it is that against every prophet We have set up as enemies the evil forces from among humans as well as from among invisible beings that whisper unto one another glittering half-truths meant to delude the mind 96 But they could not do this unless thy Sustainer had so willed: stand, therefore, aloof from them and from all their false imagery!     And like that We made/put to each prophet an enemy (from) the human's/mankind's and the Jinn's devils, some of them inspire/transmit to some the word's/opinion and belief's ornament/decoration (as) deceit/temptation, and if your Lord wanted/willed they would not have done it, so leave them and what they fabricate     wkXlk j`lna lkl nby `dwa $yaTyn alans waljn ywHy b`Dhm ali b`D zKrf alqwl Grwra wlw $a' rbk maf`lwh fXrhm wmayftrwn
 
113.  *     To such (deceit) let the hearts of those incline, who have no faith in the hereafter: let them delight in it, and let them earn from it what they may.     Yet, to the end that the hearts of those who do not believe in the life to come might incline towards Him, and that in Him they might find contentment, and that they might earn whatever they can earn [of merit] -     And to incline to it the hearts (minds of) those who do not believe with the end (other life), and to accept/approve88it, and to commit/perpetrate what they are committing/perpetrating.     wltSGy alyh afYd+ alXyn layWmnwn balaKr+ wlyrDwh wlyqtrfwa mahm mqtrfwn
 
114.  *     Say: "Shall I seek for judge other than God? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt.     [say thou:] "Am I, then, to look unto anyone but God for judgment" [as to what is right and wrong], when it is He who has bestowed upon you from on high this divine writ, clearly spelling out the truth?°°  And those unto whom We have vouchsafed revelation aforetime know that this one, too, has been bestowed from on high, step by step, by thy Sustainer.'°' Be not, then, among the doubters-     So is other than God I ask/desire (as) a judge/ruler, and He is who descended to you The Book detailed/explained ? And those who We brought (gave) to them The Book, they know that it (is) descended from your Lord with the truth, so do not be (E) from the doubting/arguing.     afGyr allh abtGi Hkma whw alXy anzl alykm alktab mfSla walXyn atynahm alktab y`lmwn anh mnzl mn rbk balHq fla tkwnn mn almmtryn
 
115.  *     The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.     for, truly and justly has thy Sustainer's promise been fulfilled.'° There is no power that could alter [the fulfilment of] His promises: and He alone is allhearing, all-knowing.     And your Lord's word/expression (was/is) completed truthfully and justly/equitably, (there is) no exchanger/replacer to His words/expressions, and He is the hearing/listening, the knowledgeable.     wtmt klm+ rbk Sdqa w`dla lambdl lklmath whw alsmy` al`lym
 
116.  *     Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee away from the way of God. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie.     Now if thou pay heed unto the majority of those [who live] on earth, they will but lead thee astray from the path of God: they follow but [other people's] conjectures, and they themselves do nothing but guess.'°'     And if you obey (follow) most of who (is) in the earth, they misguide you from God's way/path, that they follow except the assumption/suspicion, and that they (are) except lying/speculating.     wan tT` akxr mn fy alarD yDlwk `n sbyl allh an ytb`wn ala alZn wan hm ala yKrSwn
 
117.  *     Thy Lord knoweth best who strayeth from His way: He knoweth best who they are that receive His guidance.     Verily, thy Sustainer knows best as to who strays from His path, and best knows He as to who are the right-guided.     That your Lord, He is more knowing (about) who misguides from His way/path, and He is more knowing with the guided.     an rbk hw a`lm mn yDl `n sbylh whw a`lm balmhtdyn
 
118.  *     So eat of (meats) on which God's name hath been pronounced, if ye have faith in His signs.     EAT, then, of that over which God's name has been pronounced, if you truly believe in His messages."     So eat from what God's name was mentioned on it, if you where with His verses/evidences believing.     fklwa mma Xkr asm allh `lyh an kntm bayath mWmnyn
 
119.  *     Why should ye not eat of (meats) on which God's name hath been pronounced, when He hath explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you - except under compulsion of necessity? But many do mislead (men) by their appetites unchecked by knowl edge. Thy Lord knoweth best those who transgress.     And why should you not eat of that over which God's name has been pronounced, seeing that He has  so clearly spelled out to you what He has forbidden you [to eat] unless you are compelled [to do so]? But, behold, [it is precisely in such matters that] many people lead others astray by their own errant views, without [having any real] knowledge. Verily, thy Sustainer is fully aware of those who transgress the bounds of what is right.     And how (why) for you that you not eat from what God's name was mentioned on it, and He had detailed/explained for you what He forbade on you, except what you were forced to it, and that many misguide (E) with their self attractions for desires without knowledge, that your Lord, He is more knowing with (about) the transgressors.     wmalkm ala taklwa mma Xkr asm allh `lyh wqd fSl lkm maHrm `lykm ala maaDTrrtm alyh wan kxyra lyDlwn bahwaYhm bGyr `lm an rbk hw a`lm balm`tdyn
 
120.  *     Eschew all sin, open or secret: those who earn sin will get due recompense for their "earnings."     But abstain from sinning,'°s be it open or secret-for, behold, those who commit sins shall be requited for all that they have earned.     And leave (the) apparent/visible (of) the sin/crime, and its hidden/secret, that those who acquire/carry the sin/crime, they will be rewarded/reimbursed with what they were fabricating.     wXrwa Zahr alaxm wbaTnh an alXyn yksbwn alaxm syjzwn bma kanwa yqtrfwn
 
121.  *     Eat not of (meats) on which God's name hath not been pronounced: That would be impiety. But the evil ones ever inspire their friends to contend with you if ye were to obey them, ye would indeed be Pagans.     Hence, eat not of that over which God's name has not been pronounced: for this would be sinful conduct indeed.  And, verily, the evil impulses [within men's hearts] whisper unto those who have made them their own 106 that they should involve you in argument [as to what is and what is not a sin]; and if you pay heed unto them, lo! you will become [like] those who ascribe divinity to other beings or forces beside God." .     And do not eat/consume from what God's name was not mentioned on it, and that it truly is debauchery (E), and that the devils inspire/transmit (E) to their patrons/supporters to argue/dispute with you, and if you obeyed them, that you are (then) sharers/takers of partners (with God) (E).     wlataklwa mma lm yXkr asm allh `lyh wanh lfsq wan al$yaTyn lywHwn ali awlyaYhm lyjadlwkm wan aT`tmwhm ankm lm$rkwn
 
122.  *     Can he who was dead, to whom We gave life, and a light whereby he can walk amongst men, be like him who is in the depths of darkness, from which he can never come out? Thus to those without faith their own deeds seem pleasing.     IS THEN -HE who was dead [in spirit] and whom We thereupon gave life, and for whom We set up a light whereby he might see his way among men" - [is then he] like one [who is lost] in darkness deep, out of which he cannot emerge?  [But] thus it is: goodly seem all their own doings to those who deny the truth.     Is who was/is dead/lifeless, so We revived him and We made/put for him a light he walks with it in (between) the people, as who his example (is) in the darknesses (and he) is not with getting out from it? Like that (it) was decorated/beautified to the disbelievers what they were making/doing.     aw mn kan myta faHyynah wj`lna lh nwra ym$y bh fy alnas kmn mxlh fy alZlmat lys bKarj mnha kXlk zyn llkafryn ma kanwa y`mlwn
 
123.  *     Thus have We placed leaders in every town, its wicked men, to plot (and burrow) therein: but they only plot against their own souls, and they perceive it not.     And it is in this way that We cause the great ones in every land to become its [greatest] evildoers,'°' there to weave their schemes: yet it is only against themselves that they scheme -and they perceive it not.     And like that We made/put in every village/urban city its greatest/bigger criminals/sinners to cheat/deceive in it, and they do not cheat/deceive except with themselves, and they do not feel/know.     wkXlk j`lna fy kl qry+ akabr mjrmyha lymkrwa fyha wma ymkrwn ala banfshm wmay$`rwn
 
124.  *     When there comes to them a sign (from God), They say: "We shall not believe until we receive one (exactly) like those received by God's apostles." God knoweth best where (and how) to carry out His mission. Soon will the wicked be overtaken by humiliation before God, and a severe punishment, for all their plots.     And whenever. a [divine] message comes to them, they say, "We shall not believe unless we are given the like of what God's apostles were given!"  [But] God knows best upon whom to bestow His message.  Abasement in the sight of God will befall those who have become guilty of evildoing, and suffering severe for all the schemes which they were wont to weave.     And if an evidence/verse came to them, they said: "We will never/not believe until we be given/brought similar/equal/alike (to) what was given/brought (to) God's messengers." God (is) more knowing where/when He makes/puts His message, those who committed a sin/crime will be struck/marked (with) humiliation/lowliness/subservience at God, and strong (severe) torture because (of) what they were cheating/deceiving.     waXa ja'thm ay+ qalwa ln nWmn Hti nWty mxl maawty rsl allh allh a`lm Hyx yj`l rsalth sySyb alXyn ajrmwa SGar `nd allh w`Xab $dyd bma kanwa ymkrwn
 
125.  *     Those whom God (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth God (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.     And whomsoever God wills to guide, hiF bosom He opens wide with willingness towards selfsurrender [unto Him]; and whomsoever He wills to let go astray, his bosom He causes to be tight and constricted, as if he were climbing unto the skies: it is thus that God inflicts horror upon those who will not believe.     So who God wants/wills that He guides him, He expands his chest to the Islam/submission (to God), and who He wants/wills that He misguides him, He makes his chest narrow/tight, a tightness/strain/sin, as if (he) ascends in the sky/space, like that God makes/puts the obscenity/punishment and torture on those who do not believe.     fmn yrd allh an yhdyh y$rH Sdrh llaslam wmn yrd an yDlh yj`l Sdrh Dyqa Hrja kanma yS`d fy alsma' kXlk yj`l allh alrjs `li alXyn layWmnwn
 
126.  *     This is the way of thy Lord, leading straight: We have detailed the signs for those who receive admonition.     And undeviating is this thy Sustainer's  way.  Clearly, indeed, have We spelled out these messages unto people who [are willing to] take them to heart!     And that (is) your Lord's straight/direct road/way, We had detailed/explained the verses/evidences to a nation mentioning/remembering.89     whXa SraT rbk mstqyma qd fSlna alayat lqwm yXkrwn
 
127.  *     For them will be a home of peace in the presence of their Lord: He will be their friend, because they practised (righteousness).     Theirs shall be an abode of peace with their Sustainer; and He shall be near unto them in result of what they have been doing.     For them the safety's/security's home at their Lord, and He is their guardian/victorior because (of) what they were doing.     lhm dar alslam `nd rbhm whw wlyhm bma kanwa y`mlwn
 
128.  *     One day will He gather them all together, (and say): "O ye assembly of Jinns! Much (toll) did ye take of men." Their friends amongst men will say: "Our Lord! we made profit from each other: but (alas!) we reached our term - which thou didst ap point for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place: you will dwell therein for ever, except as God willeth." for thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.     AND ON THE DAY when He shall gather them [all] together, [He will say:] "O you who have lived in close communion with [evil] invisible beings! A great many [other] human beings have you ensnared!" And those of the humans who were close to them will say: "O our Sustainer! We did enjoy one another's fellowship [in life]; but [now that] we have reached the end of our term-the term which Thou hast laid down for us - [we see the error of our ways]!"  [But] He will say: "The fire shall be your. abode, therein to abide-unless God wills it otherwise."" Verily, thy Sustainer is wise, all-knowing.     And a day (when) He gathers them all together, you the Jinn's race, you had become more than the human, and their allies/patrons from the human said: "Our Lord, some of us enjoyed with some (of them) and we reached our term/time that You delayed for us." He said: "The fire (is) your residence, (you are) immortally in it except what (who) God wanted/willed, that your Lord (is) wise/judicious, knowledgeable."     wywm yH$rhm jmy`a yam`$r aljn qd astkxrtm mn alans wqal awlyaWhm mn alans rbna astmt` b`Dna bb`bD wblGna ajlna alXy ajlt lna qal alnar mxwakm Kaldyn fyha ala ma$a' allh an rbk Hkym `lym
 
129.  *     Thus do we make the wrong-doers turn to each other, because of what they earn.     And in this manner do We cause evildoers to seduce one another by means of their [evil] doings.     And like that We appoint/enable some (of) the unjust/oppressors (over) some, because (of) what they (were) earning/gathering.     wkXlk nwli b`D alZalmyn b`Da bma kanwa yksbwn
 
130.  *     "O ye assembly of Jinns and men! came there not unto you apostles from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of t his world that deceived them. So against themselves will they bear witness that they rejected Faith.     [And thus will God continue:] "O you who have lived in close communion with [evil] invisible beings and [like-minded] humans! Have there not come unto you apostles from among yourselves, who conveyed unto you My messages and warned you of the coming of this your Day [of Judgment]?"  They will answer: "We do bear witness against ourselves!"-for the life of this world had beguiled them: and so they will bear witness against themselves that they had been denying the truth.     You the Jinn's and the human's race, did not messengers from you come to you, they relay/inform on you My verses/evidences and warn you (of) this your day's/time's meeting (your meeting at this day/time)? They said: "We witnessed/testified on our selves." And the life the present/worldly life had deceived/tempted them, and they witnessed/testified on themselves that they were disbelieving.     yam`$r aljn walans alm yatkm rsl mnkm yqSwn `lykm ayaty wynXrwnkm lqa' ywmkm hXa qalwa $hdna `li anfsna wGrthm alHya+ aldnya w$hdwa `li anfshm anhm kanwa kafryn
 
131.  *     (The apostles were sent) thus, for thy Lord would not destroy for their wrong-doing men's habitations whilst their occupants were unwarned.     And so it is that thy Sustainer would never destroy a community' 16 for its wrongdoing so long as its people are still unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]:     That (is) that your Lord was not destroying the villages/urban cities with injustice, and its people (are) ignoring/disregarding.     Xlk an lm ykn rbk mhlk alqri bZlm wahlha Gaflwn
 
132.  *     To all are degrees (or ranks) according to their deeds: for thy Lord is not unmindful of anything that they do.     for all shall be judged according to their [conscious] deeds'" - and thy Sustainer is not unaware of what they do.     And for each steps/stages/degrees from what they made/did, and your Lord is not with ignoring/neglecting about what they make/do.     wlkl drjat mma `mlwa wmarbk bGafl `ma y`mlwn
 
133.  *     Thy Lord is self-sufficient, full of Mercy: if it were His will, He could destroy you, and in your place appoint whom He will as your successors, even as He raised you up from the posterity of other people.     And thy Sustainer alone is self-sufficient, limitless in His grace. If He so wills, He may put an end to you and thereafter cause whom He wills to succeed you - even as He has brought you into being out of other people's seed.     And your Lord (is) the rich (owner of) the mercy, if He wants/wills He wipes you off, and makes a successor from after you, what He wills/wants, as He created you from another nation's descendants.     wrbk alGny Xw alrHm+ an y$a yXhbkm wystKlf mn b`dkm may$a' kma an$akm mn Xry+ qwm aKryn
 
134.  *     All that hath been promised unto you will come to pass: nor can ye frustrate it (in the least bit).     Verily, that [reckoning] which you are promised is bound to come, and you cannot elude it!     That what you are being promised is coming (E), and you are not with disabling/frustrating (it).     an matw`dwn lat wmaantm bm`jzyn
 
135.  *     Say: "O my people! Do whatever ye can: I will do (my part): soon will ye know who it is whose end will be (best) in the Hereafter: certain it is that the wrong- doers will not prosper."     Say: "O my [unbelieving] people! Do yet all that may be within your power, [while] I, behold,  shall labour [in God's way]; and in time you will come to know to whom the future belongs."8 Verily, never will evildoers attain to a happy state!"     Say: "You (my) nation, do/work at your capacity that I am doing/working, so you will know who (is to) be for him the home's end/turn (result), that He does not make the unjust/oppressors succeed/win.     ql yaqwm a`mlwa `li mkantkm any `aml fswf t`lmwn mn tkwn lh `aqb+ aldar anh layflH alZalmwn
 
136.  *     Out of what God hath produced in abundance in tilth and in cattle, they assigned Him a share: they say, according to their fancies: "This is for God, and this" - for our "partners"! but the share of their" partners "reacheth not God, whilst the share of God reacheth their "partners" ! evil (and unjust) is their assignment!     AND OUT OF whatever He has created of the fruits of the field and the cattle, they assign unto God a portion, saying, "This belongs to God"-or so they [falsely] claim"9 - "and this is for those beings who, we are convinced, have a share in God's divinity." But that which is assigned to the beings associated in their minds with God does not bring [them] closer to God - whereas that which is assigned to God brings [them but] closer to those beings to whom they ascribe a share in His divinity. Bad, indeed, is their judgment!     And they made/created to God from what He created/seeded from the agricultural land/plants and the camels/livestock a share, so they said: "That (is) to God." with their claims/pretensions, "And that (is) to our partners (with God)." So what (was) to their partners (with God) so it does not reach to God, and what was to God, so it reaches to their partners (with God), it was bad/evil what they judge/rule.     wj`lwa llh mma Xra mn alHrx walan`am nSyba fqalwa hXa llh bz`mhm whXa l$rkaYna fma kan l$rkaYhm fla ySl ali allh wmakan llh fhw ySl ali $rkaYhm sa' mayHkmwn
 
137.  *     Even so, in the eyes of most of the pagans, their "partners" made alluring the slaughter of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction, and cause confusion in their religion. If God had willed, they would not have done so: B ut leave alone them and their inventions.     And, likewise, their belief in beings or powers that are supposed to have a share in God's divinity makes"2 [even] the slaying of their children seem goodly to many of those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God, thus bringing them to ruin and confusing them in their faith.  Yet, unless God had so willed, they would not be  doing all this:'° stand, therefore, aloof from them and all their false imagery!     And like that their partners (with God) decorated/beautified to many of the takers of partners (with God) killing/murdering their children, to make them be destroyed/perished, and to confuse/mix on them their religion, and if God willed/wanted they would not have done it, so leave them, and what they are fabricating.     wkXlk zyn lkxyr mn alm$rkyn qtl awladhm $rkaWhm lyrdwhm wlylbswa `lyhm dynhm wlw $a' allh maf`lwh fXrhm wmayftrwn
 
138.  *     And they say that such and such cattle and crops are taboo, and none should eat of them except those whom - so they say - We wish; further, there are cattle forbidden to yoke or burden, and cattle on which, (at slaughter), the name of God is n ot pronounced; - inventions against God's name: soon will He requite them for their inventions.     And they say, "Such-and-such cattle and fruits of the field are sacred; none may eat thereof save those whom we will [to do so]" -so they [falsely] claim;" and [they declare that] it is forbidden to burden the backs of certain kinds of cattle; and there are cattle over which they do not pronounce God's name'2' - falsely attributing [the origin of these customs] to Him. [But] He will requite them for all their false imagery.     And they said: "Those camels/livestock, and cultivation/plantation (are) prohibited, no (one) eats it except whom we will/want." With their claims/pretensions, and camels/livestock its backs were forbidden,and camels/livestock they do not mention/remember God's name on it, fabrication on Him, He will reward/reimburse them because (of) what they were fabricating.     wqalwa hXh an`am wHrx Hjr layT`mha ala mn n$a' bz`mhm wan`am Hrmt Zhwrha wan`am layXkrwn asm allh `lyha aftra' `lyh syjzyhm bma kanwa yftrwn
 
139.  *     They say: "What is in the wombs of such and such cattle is specially reserved (for food) for our men, and forbidden to our women; but if it is still-born, then all have share therein. For their (false) attribution (of superstitions to God), He will soon punish them: for He is full of wisdom and knowledge.     And they say, "All that is in the wombs of such-and-such cattle is reserved for our males and forbidden to our women; but if it be stillborn, then both may have their share thereof." [God] will requite them for all that they [falsely] attribute [to Him]: behold, He is wise, all-knowing.     And they said: "What (is) in these camels'/livestock's' bellies/insides (are) clearly/purely to our males and forbidden on our wives/spouses." 140.  *     Lost are those who slay their children, from folly, without knowledge, and forbid food which God hath provided for them, inventing (lies) against God. They have indeed gone astray and heeded no guidance.     Lost, indeed, are they who, in their weakminded ignorance, slay their children and declare as forbidden that which God has provided for them as sustenance, falsely ascribing [such prohibitions] to God: they have gone astray and have not found the right path.     Those who killed their children ignorantly/foolishly without knowledge, had lost/misguided and perished, and they forbade/prohibited what God provided for them, fabrication on God, they had misguided, and they were not guided.     qd Ksr alXyn qtlwa awladhm sfha bGyr `lm wHrmwa marzqhm allh aftra' `li allh qd Dlwa wmakanwa mhtdyn
 
141.  *     It is He Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for God loveth not the wasters.     For it is He who has brought into being gardens-[both] the cultivated ones and those growing wild'Z' -and the date-palm, and fields bearing multiform produce, and the olive tree, and the pomegranate: [all] resembling one another and yet so different!' Eat of their fruit when it comes to fruition, and give [unto the poor] their due on harvest day. 143.  *     (Take) eight (head of cattle) in (four) pairs: of sheep a pair, and of goats a pair; say, hath He forbidden the two males, or the two females, or (the young) which the wombs of the two females enclose? Tell me with knowledge if ye are truthful:     [His followers would have it that, in certain cases, any of these] four kinds of cattle of either sex [is unlawful to man]: either of the two sexes of sheep and of goats. Ask [them]: "Is it the two males that He has forbidden, or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females may contain? Tell me what you know in this respect, if what you say is true."     Eight pairs, from the sheep two, and from the goats two, say: "Are the two males forbidden or the two females, but (or what) in the two females' wombs/uteruses contained/included on (in) it? 144.  *     Of camels a pair, and oxen a pair; say, hath He forbidden the two males, or the two females, or (the young) which the wombs of the two females enclose? - Were ye present when God ordered you such a thing? But who doth more wrong than one who invents a lie against God, to lead astray men without knowledge? For God guideth not people who do wrong.     And [likewise they declare as unlawful] either of the two sexes of camels and of bovine cattle. 131 Ask [them]: "Is it the two males that He has forbidden, or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females may contain? Is it, perchance, that you [yourselves] were witnesses when God enjoined [all] this upon you?"  And who could be more wicked than he who, without any [real] knowledge, attributes his own lying inventions to God, and thus leads people astray'? 145.  *     Say: "I find not in the message received by me by inspiration any (meat) forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine,- for it is an abomination - or, what is impious, (meat) on which a name has been invoked, other than God's". But (even so), if a person is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- thy Lord is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.     Say [O Prophet]: "In all that has been revealed unto me, I do not find anything forbidden to eat, if one wants to eat thereof,'34 unless it be carrion, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine-for that, behold, is loathsome-or a sinful offering '3s over  y  cattle two" -thus completing the enumeration of  which any name other than God's has been invoked. 146.  *     For those who followed the Jewish Law, We forbade every (animal) with undivided hoof, and We forbade them that fat of the ox and the sheep, except what adheres to their backs or their entrails, or is mixed up with a bone: this in recompense fo r their wilful disobedience: for We are true (in Our ordinances).     And [only] unto those who followed the Jewish faith did We forbid all beasts that have claws; and We forbade unto them the fat of both oxen and sheep, excepting that which is in their backs or entrails or that which is within the bone:' thus did We requite them for their evildoing-for, behold, We are true to Our word!"9     And on those who repented/guided/(the Jews), We forbade every (thing) of nails/claws, and from the cows and the sheep and goats, We forbade on them their (B)'s fat/grease, except what their (B)'s backs bore, or the intestines/guts, or what (was) mixed/mingled with bones, that We rewarded/reimbursed them because of their oppression/transgression, and We are truthful (E).     w`li alXyn hadwa Hrmna kl Xy Zfr wmn albqr walGnm Hrmna `lyhm $Hwmhma ala maHmlt Zhwrhma aw alHwaya aw maaKtlT b`Zm Xlk jzynahm bbGyhm wana lSadqwn
 
147.  *     If they accuse thee of falsehood, say: "Your Lord is full of mercy all- embracing; but from people in guilt never will His wrath be turned back.     And if they give thee the lie," say: "Limitless is your Sustainer in His grace; but His punishment shall not be averted from people who are lost in sin."     So if they denied you, so say: "Your Lord (is owner) of abundant mercy, and His might/power is not to be returned from the nation the criminals/sinners.     fan kXbwk fql rbkm Xw rHm+ was`+ wlayrd bash `n alqwm almjrmyn
 
148.  *     Those who give partners (to God) will say: "If God had wished, we should not have given partners to Him nor would our fathers; nor should we have had any taboos." So did their ancestors argue falsely, until they tasted of Our wrath. Say: "Have ye any (certain) knowledge? If so, produce it before us. Ye follow nothing but conjecture: ye do nothing but lie."     THOSE who are bent on ascribing divinity to. aught beside God will say, "Had God so willed, we would not have ascribed divinity to aught but Him, nor would our forefathers [have done so]; and neither would we have declared as forbidden anything [that He has allowed]." Even so did those who lived before them give the lie to the truth -until they came to taste Our punishment!  Say: "Have you any [certain] knowledge which you could proffer to us?'42 You follow but [other people's] conjectures, and you yourselves do nothing but guess."     Those who shared/made partners (with God) will say: "If God wanted/willed, we would not (have) made partners (with God), and nor our fathers, and nor forbade from a thing." Like that those from before them lied/denied until they tasted/experienced Our might/power, say: "Is at you from knowledge, so you bring it out for us? 149.  *     Say: "With God is the argument that reaches home: if it had been His will, He could indeed have guided you all."     Say: "[Know,] then, that the final evidence [of all truth] rests with God alone; and had He so willed, He would have guided you all aright."     Say: "To God (is) the eloquent, the proof/argument, so if He wanted/willed, He would have guided you all/altogether."91     ql fllh alHj+ albalG+ flw$a' lhdakm ajm`yn
 
150.  *     Say: "Bring forward your witnesses to prove that God did forbid so and so." If they bring such witnesses, be not thou amongst them: Nor follow thou the vain desires of such as treat our signs as falsehoods, and such as believe not in the Herea fter: for they hold others as equal with their Guardian-Lord.     Say: "Bring forward your witnesses who could bear witness that God has forbidden [all] this!44-and if they bear witness [falsely], do not bear witness with them; and do not follow the errant views of those who have given the lie to Our messages, nor of those who believe not in the life to come, and who regard other powers as their Sustainer's equals!'45     Say: "Come/bring your witnesses/testifiers, those who witness/testify that God forbade this." 151.  *     Say: "Come, I will rehearse what God hath (really) prohibited you from": Join not anything as equal with Him; be good to your parents; kill not your children on a plea of want;- We provide sustenance for you and for them;- come not nigh to sha meful deeds. Whether open or secret; take not life, which God hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom.     Say: "Come, let me convey unto you what God has [really] forbidden to you:  "Do not ascribe divinity, in any way, to aught beside Him; and [do not offend against but, rather,] do good unto your parents;'46 and do not kill your children for fear of poverty - [for] it is We who shall provide sustenance for you as well as for them;'°' and do not commit any shameful deeds, be they open or secret; and do not take any human being's life-[the life] which God has declared to be sacred -otherwise than in [the pursuit of] justice: this has He enjoined upon you so that you might use your reason;'°$     Say: "Come I (will) read/recite what your Lord forbade on you, that do not make partners with Him (in) a thing, and with the parents (treat with) goodness, and do not kill your children from poverty We provide for you and them, and do not approach/near the enormous/atrocious deeds, what is visible from it, and what is hidden, and do not kill the self that God forbade, except with the right, that He directed/commanded you with it, maybe you reason/comprehend."     ql t`alwa atl maHrm rbkm `lykm alat$rkwa bh $yYa wbalwaldyn aHsana wlatqtlwa awladkm mn amlaq nHn nrzqkm wayahm wlatqrbwa alfwaH$ maZhr mnha wmabTn wlatqtlwa alnfs alty Hrm allh ala balHq Xlkm wSakm bh l`lkm t`qlwn
 
152.  *     And come not nigh to the orphan's property, except to improve it, until he attain the age of full strength; give measure and weight with (full) justice;- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear;- whenever ye speak, speak j ustly, even if a near relative is concerned; and fulfil the covenant of God: thus doth He command you, that ye may remember.     and do not touch the substance of an orphan - save to improve it-before he comes of age."  And [in all your dealings] give full measure and weight,'" with equity: [however,] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear; and when you voice an opinion, be just, even though it be [against] one near of kin. 153.  *     Verily, this is My way, leading straight: follow it: follow not (other) paths: they will scatter you about from His (great) path: thus doth He command you. that ye may be righteous.     And [know] that this is the way leading straight unto Me: follow it, then, and follow not other ways, lest they cause you to deviate 154 from His way.  [All] this has He enjoined upon you, so that you might remain conscious of Him.     And that, that (is) My straight/direct road/path, so follow it, and do not follow the roads/paths, so it separates (divides) with you from His road/path, that He directed/commanded you with it, maybe you fear and obey (God).     wan hXa SraTy mstqyma fatb`wh wlattb`wa alsbl ftfrq bkm `n sbylh Xlkm wSakm bh l`lkm ttqwn
 
154.  *     Moreover, We gave Moses the Book, completing (Our favour) to those who would do right, and explaining all things in detail,- and a guide and a mercy, that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord.     AND ONCE AGAIN:'" We vouchsafed the divine writ unto Moses in fulfilment [of Our favour] upon those who persevered in doing good, clearly spelling out everything, 116 and [thus providing] guidance and grace, so that they might have faith in the [final] meeting with their Sustainer.     Then We brought/gave Moses The Book complete on that (what is) best detailing/explaining to every thing, and guidance, and mercy, maybe they believe with their Lord's meeting.     xm atyna mwsi alktab tmama `li alXy aHsn wtfSyla lkl $Y whdi wrHm+ l`lhm blqa' rbhm yWmnwn

156.  *     Lest ye should say: "The Book was sent down to two Peoples before us, and for our part, we remained unacquainted with all that they learned by assiduous study:"     (It has been given to you] lest you say, "Only unto two groups of people, [both of them] before our time, has a divine writ been bestowed from on high - and we were indeed unaware of their teachings";     That you say: "But The Book was descended on two groups from before us, and that we were about their studies/readings ignoring/disregarding (E)."     an tqwlwa anma anzl alktab `li TaYftyn mn qblna wan kna `n drasthm lGaflyn
 
157.  *     Or lest ye should say: "If the Book had only been sent down to us, we should have followed its guidance better than they." Now then hath come unto you a clear (sign) from your Lord,- and a guide and a mercy: then who could do more wrong than o ne who rejecteth God's signs, and turneth away therefrom? In good time shall We requite those who turn away from Our signs, with a dreadful penalty, for their turning away.     or lest you say, "If a divine writ had been bestowed from on high upon us, we would surely have followed its guidance better than they did."8  And so, a clear evidence of the truth has now come unto you from your Sustainer, and guidance, and grace. Who, then, could be more wicked than he who gives the lie to God's messages, and turns away from them in disdain?  We shall requite those who turn away from Our messages in disdain with evil suffering for having thus turned away!     Or you say: "If (only) that The Book was descended on us, we would have been more guided than them." So an evidence had come to you from your Lord, and guidance, and mercy, so who (is) more unjust/oppressive than who denied/falsified with God's verses/evidences and discouraged/turned away from it? 158.  *     Are they waiting to see if the angels come to them, or thy Lord (Himself), or certain of the signs of thy Lord! the day that certain of the signs of thy Lord do come, no good will it do to a soul to believe in them then if it believed not befor e nor earned righteousness through its faith. Say: "Wait ye: we too are waiting."     Do they, perchance, wait for the angels to appear unto them, or for thy Sustainer [Himself] to appear, or for some of thy Sustainer's [final] portents to appear?'" [But] on the Day when thy Sustainer's [final] portents do appear, believing will be of no avail to any human being who did not believe before, or who, while believing, did no good works."  Say: "Wait, [then, for the Last Day, O unbelievers:] behold, we [believers] are waiting, too!"     Do they wait except that the angels come to them, or your Lord comes, or some (of) your Lord's verses/evidences come? 159.  *     As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with God: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.     VERILY, as for those who have broken the unity of their faith and have become sects - thou hast nothing to do with them. 160.  *     He that doeth good shall have ten times as much to his credit: He that doeth evil shall only be recompensed according to his evil: no wrong shall be done unto (any of) them.     Whoever shall come [before God] with a good deed will gain ten times the like thereof; but whoever shall come with an evil deed will be requited with no more than the like thereof; and none shall be wronged. 161.  *     Say: "Verily, my Lord hath guided me to a way that is straight,- a religion of right,- the path (trod) by Abraham the true in Faith, and he (certainly) joined not gods with God."     SAY: "Behold, my Sustainer has guided me onto a straight way through an ever-true faith-the way of Abraham, who turned away from all that is false, and wa,. not of those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him."     Say: "That I (E), my Lord (had) guided me to (a) straight/direct road/way (a) straight/valuable 92religion, Abraham's religion/faith, Unifier of God, and he was not from the sharers/takers of partners (with God)."     ql anni hdany rby ali SraT mstqym dyna qyma ml+ abrahym Hnyfa wmakan mn alm$rkyn
 
162.  *     Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for God, the Cherisher of the Worlds:     Say: "Behold, my prayer, and [all] my acts of worship, and my living and my dying are for God [alone], the Sustainer of all the worlds,     Say: "That my prayers and my rituals or methods of worship, and my life, and my death/time of death, (is) to the creations altogether's/(universes') Lord."     ql an Slaty wnsky wmHyay wmmaty llh rb al`almyn

164.  *     Say: "Shall I seek for (my) Cherisher other than God, when He is the Cherisher of all things (that exist)? Every soul draws the meed of its acts on none but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear of burdens can bear the burden of another. Your goal in the end is towards God: He will tell you the truth of the things wherein ye disputed."     Say: "Am I, then, to seek a sustainer other than God, when He is the SUStLiner of all things?" And whatever [wrong] any human being commits rests upon himself alone; and no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden. 16' And, in time, unto your Sustainer you all must return: and then He will make you. 165.  *     It is He Who hath made you (His) agents, inheritors of the earth: He hath raised you in ranks, some above others: that He may try you in the gifts He hath given you: for thy Lord is quick in punishment: yet He is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.     For, He it is who has made you inherit the earth, '65 and has raised some of you by degrees above others, so that He might try you by means of what He has bestowed upon you.'66  Verily, thy Sustainer is swift in retribution: yet, behold, He is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.     And He is who made/created you the earth's/Planet Earth's successors and replacers/leaders, and He rose some of you above/over some (by) steps/stages/degrees, to test you in what He gave you, that your Lord (is) quick (in) the punishment, and that He (is) forgiving (E), merciful.93     whw alXy j`lkm KlaYf alarD wrf` b`Dkm fwq b`D drjat lyblwkm fy ma atakm an rbk sry` al`qab wanh lGfwr rHym
