1.  *     (The Prophet) frowned and turned away,     HE FROWNED and turned away     He frowned/knit or contracted his brows and he turned away.     swr+ `bsi bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? `bs wtwli
 
2.  *     Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting).     because the blind man approached him!*     That (E) the blind (man) came to him.     an ja'h ala`mi
 
3.  *     But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?-     Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity,     And what makes you know/informs you maybe/perhaps he, he purifies/corrects (himself).     wmaydryk l`lh yzki
 
4.  *     Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him?     or have been reminded [of the truth], and helped by this reminder.     Or He mentions/remembers, so the remembrance/reminder benefits him.     aw yXkr ftnf`h alXkri
 
5.  *     As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient,     Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient*  -     But/as for who availed/sufficed (rejected).     ama mn astGni
 
6.  *     To him dost thou attend;     to him didst thou give thy whole attention,     So you are for him paying attention/being concerned with.     fant lh tSdi
 
7.  *     Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding).     although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity;*     And it (is) not on you that he not purifies/corrects (himself).     wma`lyk ala yzki
 
8.  *     But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly,     but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness     And but/as for who came to you striving/hastening.     wama mn ja'k ys`i
 
9.  *     And with fear (in his heart),     and in awe [of God]     And he fears.     whw yK$i
 
10.  *     Of him wast thou unmindful.     him didst thou disregard!     So you are from him distracted/preoccupied.     fant `nh tlhi
 
11.  *     By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction:     NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder:*     No, but that it truly is a reminder.     kla anha tXkr+
 
12.  *     Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance.     and so, whoever is willing may remember Him     So who wanted/willed remembered/mentioned Him.     fmn $a' Xkrh
 
13.  *     (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour,     in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity,     In honoured written pages/sheets (scriptures).     fy SHf mkrm+
 
14.  *     Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy,     lofty and pure,     Raised, purified.     mrfw`+ mThr+
 
15.  *     (Written) by the hands of scribes-     [borne] by the hands of messengers     By messengers'/scribes'/writers' hands.     baydy sfr+
 
16.  *     Honourable and Pious and Just.     noble and most virtuous.     Honoured/generous, righteous/obedient.     kram brr+
 
17.  *     Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah.     [But only too often] man destroys himself:* how stubbornly does he deny the truth!     Killed ('woe') the human/mankind what made him more disbelieving (an expression)?     qtl alansan maakfrh
 
18.  *     From what stuff hath He created him?     [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him?     From what thing He created him?     mn ay $Y Klqh
 
19.  *     From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions;     Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature,*     From a drop/male's or female's secretion He created him, so He predestined/evaluated/estimated him.     mn nTf+ Klqh fqdrh
 
20.  *     Then doth He make His path smooth for him;     and then makes it easy for him to go through life;*     Then (to) the road/path He eased him.     xm alsbyl ysrh
 
21.  *     Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave;     and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave;     Then He made him die, so He caused him to be buried in a grave.     xm amath faqbrh
 
22.  *     Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).     and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life,     Then when/if He willed/wanted/intended He revived/resurrected him.     xm aXa $a' an$rh
 
23.  *     By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.     Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him!*     No/but he did not (E) accomplish/execute what He ordered/commanded him.     kla lma yqD maamrh
 
24.  *     Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it):     Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food:     So the human/mankind should look/watch to his food.     flynZr alansan ali T`amh
 
25.  *     For that We pour forth water in abundance,     [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly;     We (E), We poured/flowed the water pouring/flowing.     ana Sbbna alma' Sba
 
26.  *     And We split the earth in fragments,     and then We cleave the earth [with new growth], cleaving it asunder,     Then We split/cracked the earth/Planet Earth splitting/cracking.     xm $qqna alarD $qa
 
27.  *     And produce therein corn,     and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it,     So We sprouted/grew in it seeds/grains.     fanbtna fyha Hba
 
28.  *     And Grapes and nutritious plants,     and vines and edible plants,     And grapes and all trees and vegetation when it regrows for animal consumption i.e.) clover.     w`nba wqDba
 
29.  *     And Olives and Dates,     and olive trees and date-palms,     And olives and palm trees.     wzytwna wnKla
 
30.  *     And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees,     and gardens dense with foliage,     And dense/luxurious fenced gardens.     wHdaYq Glba
 
31.  *     And fruits and fodder,-     and fruits and herbage,     And fruits and grass/hay/herbs.     wfakh+ waba
 
32.  *     For use and convenience to you and your cattle.     for you and for your animals to enjoy.*     Enjoyment for you and for your camels/livestock.     mta`a lkm wlan`amkm
 
33.  *     At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,-     AND SO,* when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard     So when the Deafening Noise/Resurrection Day came.     faXa ja't alSaK+
 
34.  *     That Day shall a man flee from his own brother,     on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother,     A day/time the human/man escapes/flees from his brother.     ywm yfr almr' mn aKyh
 
35.  *     And from his mother and his father,     and from his mother and father,     And his mother, and his father.     wamh wabyh
 
36.  *     And from his wife and his children.     and from his spouse and his children:     And his wife/companion/friend, and his sons and daughters.     wSaHbth wbnyh
 
37.  *     Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.     on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern.     To every/each human/man from them (on) that day (is) a matter/affair (that) suffices him (worries and keeps him busy).     lkl amrY mnhm ywmYX $an yGnyh
 
38.  *     Some faces that Day will be beaming,     Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness,     Faces/fronts (on) that day, lit and shining.     wjwh ywmYX msfr+
 
39.  *     Laughing, rejoicing.     laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings.     Laughing, cheerful/rejoiced.     DaHk+ mstb$r+
 
40.  *     And other faces that Day will be dust-stained,     And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered,     And faces/fronts (on) that day, on it (is) dust.     wwjwh ywmYX `lyha Gbr+
 
41.  *     Blackness will cover them:     with darkness overspread:     Smoke/dust burdens/depresses/oppresses it.     trhqha qtr+
 
42.  *     Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity.     these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity!     Those, they are the disbelievers, the debauchers/corrupters.458     awlYk hm alkfr+ alfjr+
