The believers must (eventually) win through,--
|
|
Successful indeed are the believers;
|
|
سورة المؤمنون بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ قد افلح المؤمنون
|
|
The believers had succeeded/won.
|
|
|
|
Qad aflaha almu\minoona
|
|
2. * |
Those who humble themselves in their prayers;
|
|
who are reverent during their Contact Prayers (Salat).
|
|
الذين هم في صلاتهم خاشعون
|
|
Those who in their prayers they are humble/submissive.
|
|
|
|
Allatheena hum feesalatihim khashiAAoona
|
|
3. * |
Who avoid vain talk;
|
|
And they avoid vain talk.
|
|
والذين هم عن اللغو معرضون
|
|
And those who from the nonsense/senseless talk, they are objecting/turning away.
|
|
|
|
Waallatheena hum AAani allaghwi muAAridoona
|
|
4. * |
Who are active in deeds of charity;
|
|
And they give their obligatory charity (Zakat).
|
|
والذين هم للزكاة فاعلون
|
|
And those who to the charity/purification, they are making/doing.
|
|
|
|
Waallatheena hum lilzzakati faAAiloona
|
|
5. * |
Who abstain from sex,
|
|
And they maintain their chastity.
|
|
والذين هم لفروجهم حافظون
|
|
And those who to their genital parts between their legs they are protecting/guarding.
|
|
|
|
Waallatheena hum lifuroojihimhafithoona
|
|
6. * |
Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,--for (in their case) they are free from blame,
|
|
Only with their spouses, or those who are rightfully theirs, do they have sexual relations; they are not to be blamed.
|
|
الا على ازواجهم او ماملكت ايمانهم فانهم غير ملومين
|
|
Except on (to) their spouses or what their rights/oaths owned/possessed (i.e. caregivers under contract), so they truly are not blameworthy/blamed.
|
|
|
|
IllaAAalaazwajihim aw mamalakat aymanuhum fa-innahum ghayru maloomeena
|
|
7. * |
But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;-
|
|
Those who transgress these limits are the transgressors.
|
|
فمن ابتغى وراء ذلك فاولئك هم العادون
|
|
So who asked/desired behind/beyond that, so those are the transgressors.
|
|
|
|
Famani ibtaghawaraathalika faola-ika humu alAAadoona
|
|
8. * |
Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants;
|
|
When it comes to deposits entrusted to them, as well as any agreements they make, they are trustworthy.
|
|
والذين هم لاماناتهم وعهدهم راعون
|
|
And those whom to their securities/trusts, and their promise/contract they are protecting/observing
|
|
|
|
Waallatheena hum li-amanatihim waAAahdihim raAAoona
|
|
9. * |
And who (strictly) guard their prayers;-
|
|
And they observe their Contact Prayers (Salat) regularly.
|
|
والذين هم على صلواتهم يحافظون
|
|
And those whom, they are on their prayers they are protecting/observing.
|
|
|
|
Waallatheena hum AAalasalawatihim yuhafithoona
|
|
10. * |
These will be the heirs,
|
|
Such are the inheritors.
|
|
اولئك هم الوارثون
|
|
Those, they are the heirs/inheritants.
|
|
|
|
Ola-ika humu alwarithoona
|
|
11. * |
Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever).
|
|
They will inherit Paradise, wherein they abide forever.
|
|
الذين يرثون الفردوس هم فيها خالدون
|
|
Those who inherit the Elfirdowse/one of the paradises/garden, they are in it immortally/ eternally.
|
|
|
|
Allatheena yarithoona alfirdawsa hum feehakhalidoona
|
|
12. * |
Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay);
|
|
We created the human being from a certain kind of mud.
|
|
ولقد خلقنا الانسان من سلالة من طين
|
|
And We had created the human from (a) descendent/gene/extract from mud/clay.
|
|
|
|
Walaqad khalaqnaal-insana min sulalatin minteenin
|
|
13. * |
Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed;
|
|
Subsequently, we reproduced him from a tiny drop, that is placed into a well protected repository.
|
|
ثم جعلناه نطفة في قرار مكين
|
|
Then We created/made him a drop/male's or female's secretion in (a) firm/established bottom.
|
|
|
|
Thumma jaAAalnahu nutfatan fee qararin makeenin
|
|
14. * |
Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create!
|
|
Then we developed the drop into a hanging (embryo), then developed the hanging (embryo) into a bite-size (fetus), then created the bite-size (fetus) into bones, then covered the bones with flesh. We thus produce a new creature. Most blessed is GOD, the best Creator.
|
|
ثم خلقنا النطفة علقة فخلقنا العلقة مضغة فخلقنا المضغة عظاما فكسونا العظام لحما ثم انشاناه خلقا اخر فتبارك الله احسن الخالقين
|
|
Then We created the drop/male's or female's secretion (into) a blood clot/sperm/ semen, so We created the blood clot/sperm/semen (into) a piece of something chewable of flesh or other, so We created the piece of something chewable of flesh or other (into) bones, so We dressed/clothed the bones (with) flesh/meat, then We originated/developed him (into) another creation, so blessed (is) God, best (of) the creators.

|
|
Thumma khalaqnaalnnutfata AAalaqatan fakhalaqnaalAAalaqata mudghatan fakhalaqnaalmudghata AAithaman fakasawnaalAAithama lahman thumma ansha\nahu khalqanakhara fatabaraka Allahu ahsanu alkhaliqeena
|
|
15. * |
After that, at length ye will die
|
|
Then, later on, you die.
|
|
ثم انكم بعد ذلك لميتون
|
|
Then that you are after that dying (E).
|
|
|
|
Thumma innakum baAAdathalika lamayyitoona
|
|
16. * |
Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up.
|
|
Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be resurrected.
|
|
ثم انكم يوم القيامة تبعثون
|
|
Then that you are (on) the Resurrection Day being resurrected/revived.
|
|
|
|
Thumma innakum yawma alqiyamati tubAAathoona
|
|
17. * |
And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation.
|
|
We created above you seven universes in layers, and we are never unaware of a single creature in them.
|
|
ولقد خلقنا فوقكم سبع طرائق وماكنا عن الخلق غافلين
|
|
And We had created above you, seven stages/layers, and We were not from/of the creation ignoring/neglecting.
|
|
|
|
Walaqad khalaqnafawqakum sabAAatara-iqa wamakunnaAAani alkhalqi ghafileena
|
|
18. * |
And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease).
|
|
We send down from the sky water, in exact measure, then we store it in the ground. Certainly, we can let it escape.
|
|
وانزلنا من السماء ماء بقدر فاسكناه في الارض وانا على ذهاب به لقادرون
|
|
And We descended from the sky/space water with a measure/quantity, so We settled it in the land/Earth, and We are on taking away/eliminating with it capable/able (E).
|
|
|
|
Waanzalnamina alssama-i maan biqadarin faaskannahu fee al-ardi wa-innaAAalathahabin bihi laqadiroona
|
|
19. * |
With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),--
|
|
With it, we produce for you orchards of date palms, grapes, all kinds of fruits, and various foods.
|
|
فانشانا لكم به جنات من نخيل واعناب لكم فيها فواكه كثيرة ومنها تاكلون
|
|
So We originated/developed for you with it treed gardens/paradises from palm trees and grapes, for you in it (are) many/much fruits, and from it you eat.
|
|
|
|
Faanshanalakum bihi jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin lakum feehafawakihu katheeratun waminhatakuloona
|
|
20. * |
Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food.
|
|
Also, a tree native to Sinai produces oil, as well as relish for the eaters.
|
|
وشجرة تخرج من طور سيناء تنبت بالدهن وصبغ للاكلين
|
|
And a tree emerges from Sinai's mountain, it sprouts/grows with the oil/fat/grease and dye/colour to the eaters/gluttons.
|
|
|
|
Washajaratan takhruju mintoori saynaa tanbutu bialdduhni wasibghin lilakileena
|
|
21. * |
And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat;
|
|
And the livestock should provide you with a lesson. We let you drink (milk) from their bellies, you derive other benefits from them, and some of them you use for food.
|
|
وان لكم في الانعام لعبرة نسقيكم مما في بطونها ولكم فيها منافع كثيرة ومنها تاكلون
|
|
And that truly for you in the camels/livestock (is) an example/warning (E), We make you drink from what (is) in its bellies/insides, and for you in it (are) many benefits/uses, and from it you eat.
|
|
|
|
Wa-inna lakum fee al-anAAami laAAibratan nusqeekum mimmafee butoonihawalakum feehamanafiAAu katheeratun waminhata\kuloona
|
|
22. * |
An on them, as well as in slips, ye side.
|
|
On them, and on the ships, you ride.
|
|
وعليها وعلى الفلك تحملون
|
|
And on it and on the ships, you are being carried/lifted.
|
|
|
|
WaAAalayhawaAAalaalfulki tuhmaloona
|
|
23. * |
(Further, We sent a long line of prophets for your instruction). We sent Noah to his people: He said, "O my people! worship Allah. Ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?"
|
|
We sent Noah to his people, saying, "O my people, worship GOD. You have no other god beside Him. Would you not be righteous?"
|
|
ولقد ارسلنا نوحا الى قومه فقال ياقوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من اله غيره افلا تتقون
|
|
And We had sent Noah to his nation, so he said: "You my nation, worship God, (there is) no God for you from other than Him, so do you not fear and obey?"
|
|
|
|
Walaqad arsalnanoohan ilaqawmihi faqala yaqawmi oAAbudoo Allaha malakum min ilahin ghayruhu afalatattaqoona
|
|
24. * |
The chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: his wish is to assert his superiority over you: if Allah had wished (to send messengers), He could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing (as he says), among our ancestors of old."
|
|
The leaders who disbelieved among his people said, "This is no more than a human like you, who wants to gain prominence among you. Had GOD willed, He could have sent down angels. We never heard of anything like this from our ancestors.
|
|
فقال الملؤا الذين كفروا من قومه ماهذا الا بشر مثلكم يريد ان يتفضل عليكم ولو شاء الله لانزل ملائكة ماسمعنا بهذا في ابائنا الاولين
|
|
So said the nobles/assembly from those who disbelieved from his nation: "That (is) not except a human similar to you he wants that (he) makes himself more preferred/favoured on (to) you, and if God willed/wanted, He would have descended angels, we did not hear with that in our fathers/forefathers, the first/beginners."
|
|
|
|
Faqala almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi mahathaillabasharun mithlukum yureedu an yatafaddala AAalaykum walaw shaa Allahu laanzala mala-ikatan masamiAAnabihathafeeaba-inaal-awwaleena
|
|
25. * |
(And some said): "He is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time."
|
|
"He is simply a man gone crazy. Just ignore him for awhile."
|
|
ان هو الا رجل به جنة فتربصوا به حتى حين
|
|
That he is except a man with him (is) insanity, so wait with him until a time.
|
|
|
|
In huwa illarajulun bihi jinnatun fatarabbasoo bihihattaheenin
|
|
26. * |
(Noah) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood!"
|
|
He said, "My Lord, grant me victory, for they have disbelieved me."
|
|
قال رب انصرني بما كذبون
|
|
He said: "My Lord, give me victory/aid because (of) what they denied me."
|
|
|
|
Qala rabbi onsurnee bimakaththabooni
|
|
27. * |
So We inspired him (with this message): "Construct the Ark within Our sight and under Our guidance: then when comes Our Command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family--except those of them against whom the Word has already gone forth: And address Me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the Flood).

|
We then inspired him: "Make the watercraft under our watchful eyes, and in accordance with our inspiration. When our command comes, and the atmosphere boils up, put on it a pair of every kind (of your domesticated animals), and your family, except those condemned to be doomed. Do not speak to Me on behalf of those who transgressed; they will be drowned.
|
|
فاوحينا اليه ان اصنع الفلك باعيننا ووحينا فاذا جاء امرنا وفار التنور فاسلك فيها من كل زوجين اثنين واهلك الا من سبق عليه القول منهم ولاتخاطبني في الذين ظلموا انهم مغرقون
|
|
So We inspired/transmitted to him: "That produce/manufacture the ship/ships with Our eyes/sights, and Our inspiration/revelation, so if Our order/command came, and the furnace/kiln/elten'noor boiled over/gushed, so enter/pass in it from every/each pair/couple two, and your family/people, except whom the words preceded on him from them, and do not address/converse with Me in (about) those who were unjust/oppressive, that they are being drowned/sunken."

|
|
|
Faawhaynailayhi ani isnaAAi alfulka bi-aAAyuninawawahyinafa-ithajaa amrunawafara alttannooru faosluk feehamin kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illaman sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu minhum walatukhatibnee fee allatheenathalamoo innahum mughraqoona
|
|
28. * |
And when thou hast embarked on the Ark - thou and those with thee,--say: "Praise be to Allah, Who has saved us from the people who do wrong."
|
|
"Once you are settled, together with those who are with you, on the watercraft, you shall say, `Praise GOD for saving us from the evil people.'
|
|
فاذا استويت انت ومن معك على الفلك فقل الحمد لله الذي نجانا من القوم الظالمين
|
|
And if/when you sat on/tended to and who (is) with you on the ship/ships, so say: 'The praise/gratitude/thanks (is) to God who saved/rescued us from the nation the unjust/oppressive.'
|
|
|
|
Fa-ithaistawayta anta waman maAAaka AAalaalfulki faquli alhamdu lillahi allathee najjanamina alqawmi alththalimeena
|
|
29. * |
And say: "O my Lord! enable me to disembark with thy blessing: for Thou art the Best to enable (us) to disembark."
|
|
"And say, `My Lord, let me disembark onto a blessed location; You are the best deliverer.' "
|
|
وقل رب انزلني منزلا مباركا وانت خير المنزلين
|
|
And say: "My Lord, descend me a blessed place of decent, and you are best (of) the senders of the descenders (host)."
|
|
|
|
Waqul rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubarakan waanta khayru almunzileena
|
|
30. * |
Verily in this there are Signs (for men to understand); (thus) do We try (men).
|
|
These should provide sufficient proofs for you. We will certainly put you to the test.
|
|
ان في ذلك لايات وان كنا لمبتلين
|
|
That in that (are) evidences/signs (E), and if We were testing (E).
|
|
|
|
Inna feethalika laayatin wa-in kunnalamubtaleena
|
|
31. * |
Then We raised after them another generation.
|
|
Subsequently, we established another generation after them.
|
|
ثم انشانا من بعدهم قرنا اخرين
|
|
Then We originated/developed from after them people of one era/generation/century, others.
|
|
|
|
Thumma ansha\namin baAAdihim qarnanakhareena
|
|
32. * |
And We sent to them an apostle from among themselves, (saying), "Worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?"
|
|
We sent to them a messenger from among them, saying, "You shall worship GOD. You have no other god beside Him. Would you not be righteous?"
|
|
فارسلنا فيهم رسولا منهم ان اعبدوا الله مالكم من اله غيره افلا تتقون
|
|
So We sent in (between) them a messenger from them: "That worship God, (there is) no God for you from other than Him, so do you not fear and obey?"
|
|
|
|
Faarsalnafeehim rasoolan minhum ani oAAbudoo Allaha malakum min ilahin ghayruhu afalatattaqoona
|
|
33. * |
And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink.
|
|
The leaders among his people who disbelieved and rejected the idea of the Hereafter - although we provided for them generously in this life - said, "This is no more than a human being like you. He eats from what you eat, and drinks as you drink.
|
|
وقال الملا من قومه الذين كفروا وكذبوا بلقاء الاخرة واترفناهم في الحياة الدنيا ماهذا الا بشر مثلكم ياكل مما تاكلون منه ويشرب مما تشربون
|
|
And the assembly/nobles from his nation those who disbelieved and denied/falsified with meeting the end (other life), and We blessed/luxuriated them in the life the present/worldly life said: "That is not except a human equal to you, he eats from what you eat from it, and he drinks from what you drink."
|
|
|
|
Waqala almalao min qawmihi allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biliqa-i al-akhirati waatrafnahum fee alhayati alddunyamahathaillabasharun mithlukum yakulu mimmatakuloona minhu wayashrabu mimmatashraboona
|
|
34. * |
"If ye obey a man like yourselves, behold, it is certain ye will be lost.
|
|
"If you obey a human being like you, then you are really losers.
|
|
ولئن اطعتم بشرا مثلكم انكم اذا لخاسرون
|
|
And if (E) you obeyed a human equal to you, that you are then losers (E).
|
|
|
|
Wala-in ataAAtum basharan mithlakum innakum ithan lakhasiroona
|
|
35. * |
"Does he promise that when ye die and become dust and bones, ye shall be brought forth (again)?
|
|
"Does he promise you that, after you die and turn into dust and bones, you will come out again?
|
|
ايعدكم انكم اذا متم وكنتم ترابا وعظاما انكم مخرجون
|
|
Does he promise you, that you are if you died and you were dust/earth and bones, that you are being brought out?
|
|
|
|
AyaAAidukum annakum ithamittum wakuntum turaban waAAithaman annakum mukhrajoona
|
|
36. * |
"Far, very far is that which ye are promised!
|
|
"Impossible, impossible indeed is what is promised to you.
|
|
هيهات هيهات لما توعدون
|
|
How far/how impossible ? How far/how impossible to what you are being promised?
|
|
|
|
Hayhata hayhata limatooAAadoona
|
|
37. * |
"There is nothing but our life in this world! We shall die and we live! But we shall never be raised up again!
|
|
"We only live this life - we live and die - and we will never be resurrected.
|
|
ان هي الا حياتنا الدنيا نموت ونحيا ومانحن بمبعوثين
|
|
That truly it is except our life the present/worldly life, we die, and we live, and we are not with being resurrected/revived.
|
|
|
|
In hiya illahayatunaalddunyanamootu wanahyawamanahnu bimabAAootheena
|
|
38. * |
"He is only a man who invents a lie against Allah, but we are not the ones to believe in him!"
|
|
"He is just a man who fabricated lies and attributed them to GOD. We will never believe him."
|
|
ان هو الا رجل افترى على الله كذبا ومانحن له بمؤمنين
|
|
That he is except a man he fabricated/cut and split on (about) God lies/falsifications, and we are not to him with believing.
|
|
|
|
In huwa illarajulun iftaraAAalaAllahi kathiban wamanahnu lahu bimu\mineena
|
|
39. * |
(The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood."
|
|
He said, "My Lord, grant me victory, for they have disbelieved me."
|
|
قال رب انصرني بما كذبون
|
|
He said: "My Lord, give me victory/aid because (of) what they denied me."
|
|
|
|
Qala rabbi onsurnee bimakaththabooni
|
|
40. * |
((Allah)) said: "In but a little while, they are sure to be sorry!"
|
|
He said, "Soon they will be sorry."
|
|
قال عما قليل ليصبحن نادمين
|
|
He said: "On what little (shortly) they (will) become/become in the morning regretful/remorseful."
|
|
|
|
Qala AAammaqaleelin layusbihunna nadimeena
|
|
41. * |
Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong!
|
|
The retribution struck them, equitably, and thus, we turned them into ruins. The wicked people perished.
|
|
فاخذتهم الصيحة بالحق فجعلناهم غثاء فبعدا للقوم الظالمين
|
|
So the loud strong cry/torture raid punished/took them with the truth, so We made them rotten/useless, so a destruction/curse to the nation the unjust/oppressive.
|
|
|
|
Faakhathat-humu alssayhatu bialhaqqi fajaAAalnahum ghuthaan fabuAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena
|
|
42. * |
Then We raised after them other generations.
|
|
Subsequently, we established other generations after them.
|
|
ثم انشانا من بعدهم قرونا اخرين
|
|
Then We originated/developed from after them generations/peoples of eras/centuries, others.
|
|
|
|
Thumma ansha\namin baAAdihim quroonanakhareena
|
|
43. * |
No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it).
|
|
No community can advance its predetermined fate, nor delay it.
|
|
ماتسبق من امة اجلها ومايستاخرون
|
|
None from a nation precedes its term/time and they do not delay/lag behind.239
|
|
|
|
Matasbiqu min ommatin ajalahawamayasta\khiroona
|
|
44. * |
Then sent We our apostles in succession: every time there came to a people their apostle, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe!
|
|
Then we sent our messengers in succession. Every time a messenger went to his community, they disbelieved him. Consequently, we annihilated them, one after the other, and made them history. The people who disbelieved have perished.
|
|
ثم ارسلنا رسلنا تترا كلما جاء امة رسولها كذبوه فاتبعنا بعضهم بعضا وجعلناهم احاديث فبعدا لقوم لايؤمنون
|
|
Then We sent Our messengers successively/periodically, whenever a nation its messenger came to it, they denied him, so We made some of them follow some, and We made them information, so a destruction/curse to a nation they do not believe.
|
|
|
|
Thumma arsalnarusulanatatrakulla majaa ommatan rasooluhakaththaboohu faatbaAAnabaAAdahum baAAdan wajaAAalnahum ahadeetha fabuAAdan liqawmin layu\minoona
|
|
45. * |
Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest,
|
|
Then we sent Moses and his brother Aaron with our revelations and a profound proof.
|
|
ثم ارسلنا موسى واخاه هارون باياتنا وسلطان مبين
|
|
Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our verses/evidences and an evident proof/evidence.
|
|
|
|
Thumma arsalnamoosawaakhahu haroona bi-ayatinawasultanin mubeenin
|
|
46. * |
To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: But these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people.
|
|
To Pharaoh and his elders, but they turned arrogant. They were oppressive people.
|
|
الى فرعون وملئه فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما عالين
|
|
To Pharaoh, and his nobles/assembly, so they became arrogant and they were a high and mighty nation.
|
|
|
|
IlafirAAawna wamala-ihi faistakbaroo wakanoo qawman AAaleena
|
|
47. * |
They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!"
|
|
They said, "Shall we believe for two men whose people are our slaves?"
|
|
فقالوا انؤمن لبشرين مثلنا وقومهما لنا عابدون
|
|
So they said: "Do we believe to two humans equal to us, and their (B)'s nation (are) to us worshipping?"
|
|
|
|
Faqaloo anu\minu libasharayni mithlinawaqawmuhumalanaAAabidoona
|
|
48. * |
So they accused them of falsehood, and they became of those who were destroyed.
|
|
They rejected the two, and consequently, they were annihilated.
|
|
فكذبوهما فكانوا من المهلكين
|

So they denied them (B), so they were from the perished/destroyed.

Fakaththaboohumafakanoo mina almuhlakeena
|
|

And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance.
|
|
We gave Moses the scripture, that they may be guided.
|
|
ولقد اتينا موسى الكتاب لعلهم يهتدون
|
|
And We had given/brought to Moses The Book, maybe/perhaps they be guided.
|
|
|
|
Walaqadataynamoosaalkitaba laAAallahum yahtadoona
|
|
50. * |
And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs.
|
|
We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and we gave them refuge on a mesa with food and drink.
|
|
وجعلنا ابن مريم وامه اية واويناهما الى ربوة ذات قرار ومعين
|
|
And We made Mary's son and his mother, an evidence/sign, and We sheltered them (B) to an elevated ground/hill of (with a) bottom and flowing easily and plentifully.
|
|
|
|
WajaAAalnaibna maryama waommahuayatan waawaynahumailarabwatinthati qararin wamaAAeenin
|
|
51. * |
O ye apostles! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.
|
|
O you messengers, eat from the good provisions, and work righteousness. I am fully aware of everything you do.
|
|
ياايها الرسل كلوا من الطيبات واعملوا صالحا اني بما تعملون عليم
|
|
You, you the messengers, eat from the goodnesses, and make/do correct/righteous deeds, that I am with what you make/do knowledgeable.
|
|
|
|
Yaayyuhaalrrusulu kuloo mina alttayyibati waiAAmaloosalihan innee bimataAAmaloona AAaleemun
|
|
52. * |
And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other).
|
|
Such is your congregation - one congregation - and I am your Lord; you shall reverence Me.
|
|
وان هذه امتكم امة واحدة وانا ربكم فاتقون
|
|
And that this (is) your nation, one nation and I am your Lord so fear and obey Me.
|
|
|
|
Wa-inna hathihi ommatukum ommatan wahidatan waanarabbukum faittaqooni
|
|
53. * |
But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself.
|
|
But they tore themselves into disputing factions; each party happy with what they have.
|
|
فتقطعوا امرهم بينهم زبرا كل حزب بما لديهم فرحون
|
|
So they separated their matter/affair (into) pieces every/each group/party with what (is) at them, they are happy/delighted.
|
|
|
|
FataqattaAAoo amrahum baynahum zuburan kulluhizbin bimaladayhim farihoona
|
|
54. * |
But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time.
|
|
Therefore, just leave them in their confusion, for awhile.
|
|
فذرهم في غمرتهم حتى حين
|
|
So leave them in their ignorance/hatred until a time/period of time.
|
|
|
|
Fatharhum fee ghamratihimhattaheenin
|
|
55. * |
Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons,
|
|
Do they think that, since we provided them with money and children,
|
|
ايحسبون انما نمدهم به من مال وبنين
|
|
Do they think/suppose that We extend/spread them with it from property/possession/wealth and sons/sons and daughters?
|
|
|
|
Ayahsaboona annamanumidduhum bihi min malin wabaneena
|
|
56. * |
We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand.
|
|
we must be showering them with blessings? Indeed, they have no idea.
|
|
نسارع لهم في الخيرات بل لايشعرون
|
|
We rush/quicken for them in the goodnesses/generosity, but they do not feel/know/sense.
|
|
|
|
NusariAAu lahum fee alkhayrati bal layashAAuroona
|
|
57. * |
Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord;
|
|
Surely, those who are reverently conscious of their Lord,
|
|
ان الذين هم من خشية ربهم مشفقون
|
|
That those who, they are from their Lord's fearing cautious/compassionate.
|
|
|
|
Inna allatheena hum min khashyati rabbihim mushfiqoona
|
|
58. * |
Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord;
|
|
And who believe in the revelations of their Lord,
|
|
والذين هم بايات ربهم يؤمنون
|
|
And those who, they are with their Lord's verses/evidences believing.
|
|
|
|
Waallatheena hum bi-ayati rabbihim yu\minoona
|
|
59. * |
Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord;
|
|
And who never set up any idols beside their Lord,
|
|
والذين هم بربهم لايشركون
|
|
And those who, they are with their Lord, they do not share/make partners.
|
|
|
|
Waallatheena hum birabbihim layushrikoona
|
|
60. * |
And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;-
|
|
As they give their charities, their hearts are fully reverent. For they recognize that they will be summoned before their Lord,
|
|
والذين يؤتون مااتوا وقلوبهم وجلة انهم الى ربهم راجعون
|
|
And those who give/bring what they gave/brought, and their hearts/minds (are) afraid/apprehensive that they are to their Lord returning.
|
|
|
|
Waallatheena yu\toona maataw waquloobuhum wajilatun annahum ilarabbihim rajiAAoona
|
|
61. * |
It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them.
|
|
They are eager to do righteous works; they compete in doing them.
|
|
اولئك يسارعون في الخيرات وهم لها سابقون
|
|
Those, they speed/rush in the goodnesses/generosity, and they are to it racing/surpassing.
|
|
|
|
Ola-ika yusariAAoona fee alkhayrati wahum lahasabiqoona
|
|
62. * |
On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged.
|
|
We never burden any soul beyond its means, and we keep a record that utters the truth. No one will suffer injustice.
|
|
ولانكلف نفسا الا وسعها ولدينا كتاب ينطق بالحق وهم لايظلمون
|
|
And We do not burden/impose (on) a self except its endurance/capacity and at Us (is) a Book (it) speaks/clarifies with the truth, and they are not being caused injustice to/oppressed.
|
|
|
|
Walanukallifu nafsan illawusAAahawaladaynakitabun yantiqu bialhaqqi wahum layuthlamoona
|
|
63. * |
But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,--
|
|
Because their minds are oblivious to this, they commit works that do not conform with this; their works are evil.
|
|
بل قلوبهم في غمرة من هذا ولهم اعمال من دون ذلك هم لها عاملون
|
|
But their hearts/minds (are) in ignorance/intensity from this, and for them (are) deeds other than that, they are to it doing/working.
|
|
|
|
Bal quloobuhum fee ghamratin min hathawalahum aAAmalun min doonithalika hum lahaAAamiloona
|
|
64. * |
Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication!
|
|
Then, when we requite their leaders with retribution, they complain.
|
|
حتى اذا اخذنا مترفيهم بالعذاب اذا هم يجأرون
|
|
Until when We took/punished their luxuriated ungrateful and arrogant with the torture, then, where/when they cry aloud and humbly/pray.
|
|
|
|
Hattaithaakhathnamutrafeehim bialAAathabi ithahum yaj-aroona
|
|
65. * |
(It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us.
|
|
Do not complain now; you have given up all help from us.
|
|
لاتجأروا اليوم انكم منا لاتنصرون
|
|
Do not cry aloud and humbly/pray the day/today, that you are from Us not being given victory/aid.
|
|
|
|
Lataj-aroo alyawma innakum minnalatunsaroona
|
|
66. * |
"My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels-
|
|
My proofs have been presented to you, but you turned back on your heels.
|
|
قد كانت اياتي تتلى عليكم فكنتم على اعقابكم تنكصون
|
|
My verses/evidences had been read/recited on (to) you, so you were on your heels returning/withdrawing.
|
|
|
|
Qad kanatayatee tutlaAAalaykum fakuntum AAalaaAAqabikum tankisoona
|
|
67. * |
"In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night."
|
|
You were too arrogant to accept them, and you defiantly disregarded them.
|
|
مستكبرين به سامرا تهجرون
|
|
Arrogantly conversing at night, you speak disgustedly/obscenely with (about) it.
|
|
|
|
Mustakbireena bihi samiran tahjuroona
|
|
68. * |
Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah., or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old?
|
|
Why do they not reflect upon this scripture? Do they not realize that they have received something never attained by their ancestors?
|
|
افلم يدبروا القول ام جاءهم مالم يات اباءهم الاولين
|
|
Did they not consider/regulate the word/opinion and belief ? Or came to them what did not come (to) their fathers, the first/beginners?240
|
|
|
|
Afalam yaddabbaroo alqawla am jaahum malam ya\tiabaahumu al-awwaleena
|
|
69. * |
Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him?
|
|
Have they failed to recognize their messenger? Is this why they are disregarding him?
|
|
ام لم يعرفوا رسولهم فهم له منكرون
|
|
Or they did not know (recognize) their messenger, so they are to him denying/ignoring?
|
|
|
|
Am lam yaAArifoo rasoolahum fahum lahu munkiroona
|
|
70. * |
Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth.
|
|
Have they decided that he is crazy? Indeed, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them hate the truth.
|
|
ام يقولون به جنة بل جاءهم بالحق واكثرهم للحق كارهون
|
|
Or they say: "With him (is) insanity/madness." But he came to them with the truth, and most of them to the truth (are) hating.
|
|
|
|
Am yaqooloona bihi jinnatun bal jaahum bialhaqqi waaktharuhum lilhaqqi karihoona
|
|
71. * |
If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition.
|
|
Indeed, if the truth conformed to their wishes, there would be chaos in the heavens and the earth; everything in them would be corrupted. We have given them their proof, but they are disregarding their proof.
|
|
ولو اتبع الحق اهواءهم لفسدت السماوات والارض ومن فيهن بل اتيناهم بذكرهم فهم عن ذكرهم معرضون
|
|
And if the truth followed their self attractions for desires, the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth and who (is) in them (B) would have (been) corrupted/destroyed, but We came/brought to them with their reminder, so they are from their reminder objecting/opposing.
|
|
|
|
Walawi ittabaAAa alhaqqu ahwaahum lafasadati alssamawatu waal-ardu waman feehinna bal ataynahum bithikrihim fahum AAanthikrihim muAAridoona
|
|
72. * |
Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance.
|
|
Are you asking them for a wage? Your Lord's wage is far better. He is the best Provider.
|
|
ام تسألهم خرجا فخراج ربك خير وهو خير الرازقين
|
|
Or you ask/question them (for) a royalty/retainer, so your Lord's royalty/retainer (is) best, and He is the provider's best.
|
|
|
|
Am tas-aluhum kharjan fakharaju rabbika khayrun wahuwa khayru alrraziqeena
|
|
73. * |
But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way;
|
|
Most assuredly, you are inviting them to a straight path.
|
|
وانك لتدعوهم الى صراط مستقيم
|
|
And that you call them to a straight/direct road/way.
|
|
|
|
Wa-innaka latadAAoohum ilasiratin mustaqeemin
|
|
74. * |
And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way.
|
|
Those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will surely deviate from the right path.
|
|
وان الذين لايؤمنون بالاخرة عن الصراط لناكبون
|
|
And that those who do not believe with the end (other life) are from the road/way deviating/siding away (E).
|
|
|
|
Wa-inna allatheena layu\minoona bial-akhirati AAani alssirati lanakiboona
|
|
75. * |
If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro.
|
|
Even when we showered them with mercy, and relieved their problems, they plunged deeper into transgression, and continued to blunder.
|
|
ولو رحمناهم وكشفنا مابهم من ضر للجوا في طغيانهم يعمهون
|
|
And if We had mercy upon them, and We removed/uncovered (relieved) what (is) with them from harm, they would have persisted, excessed and insisted in their tyranny/arrogance being confused/puzzled.
|
|
|
|
Walaw rahimnahum wakashafnamabihim mindurrin lalajjoo feetughyanihim yaAAmahoona
|
|
76. * |
We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!-
|
|
Even when we afflicted them with retribution, they never turned to their Lord imploring.
|
|
ولقد اخذناهم بالعذاب فما استكانوا لربهم وما يتضرعون
|
|
And We had taken/punished them with the torture so they did not become humiliated/disgraced to their Lord, and they do not become humble and humiliate themselves.
|
|
|
|
Walaqad akhathnahum bialAAathabi famaistakanoo lirabbihim wamayatadarraAAoona
|
|
77. * |
Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein!
|
|
Subsequently, when we requited them with the severe retribution they had incurred, they were shocked.
|
|
حتى اذا فتحنا عليهم بابا ذا عذاب شديد اذا هم فيه مبلسون
|
|
Until when We opened on them a door/entrance of strong (severe) torture, then they are in it, they are confused/dumbfounded.
|
|
|
|
HattaithafatahnaAAalayhim babanthaAAathabin shadeedin ithahum feehi mublisoona
|
|
78. * |
It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give!
|
|
He is the One who granted you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brains. Rarely are you appreciative.
|
|
وهو الذي انشا لكم السمع والابصار والافئدة قليلا ماتشكرون
|
|
And He is who originated/developed for you the hearing/listening and the eye sights/knowledge, and the hearts, little (is) what you thank/be grateful.
|
|
|
|
Wahuwa allathee anshaa lakumu alssamAAa waal-absara waal-af-idata qaleelan matashkuroona
|
|
79. * |
And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back.
|
|
He is the One who established you on earth, and before Him you will be summoned.
|
|
وهو الذي ذراكم في الارض واليه تحشرون
|
|
And He is who created/seeded you in the earth/Planet Earth, and to Him you are being gathered.
|
|
|
|
Wahuwa allatheetharaakum fee al-ardi wa-ilayhi tuhsharoona
|
|
80. * |
It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand?
|
|
He is the One who controls life and death, and He is the One who alternates the night and day. Do you not understand?
|
|
وهو الذي يحيي ويميت وله اختلاف الليل والنهار افلا تعقلون
|
|
And He is who revives/makes alive and makes die, and to Him the night's and the daytime's difference, so do you not reason/comprehend ?
|
|
|
|
Wahuwa allathee yuhyee wayumeetu walahu ikhtilafu allayli waalnnahari afalataAAqiloona
|
|
81. * |
On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said.
|
|
They said what their ancestors said.
|
|
بل قالوا مثل ماقال الاولون
|
|
But they said similar/equal (to) what the first/beginners said.
|
|
|
|
Bal qaloo mithla maqala al-awwaloona
|
|
82. * |
They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again?
|
|
They said, "After we die and become dust and bones, we get resurrected?
|
|
قالوا ءاذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما ائنالمبعوثون
|
|
They said: "Is (it that) if we died, and we were dust/earth and bones, are we being resurrected/revived (E)?"
|
|
|
|
Qaloo a-ithamitnawakunnaturaban waAAithaman a-innalamabAAoothoona
|
|
83. * |
"Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!"
|
|
"Such promises were given to us and to our parents in the past. These are no more than tales from the past."
|
|
لقد وعدنا نحن واباؤنا هذا من قبل ان هذا الا اساطير الاولين
|
|
We had been promised this from before, we, and our fathers, that this (is) except the first's/beginner's myths/baseless stories.
|
|
|
|
Laqad wuAAidnanahnu waabaonahathamin qablu in hathaillaasateeru al-awwaleena
|
|
84. * |
Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!"
|
|
Say, "To whom belongs the earth and everyone on it, if you know?"
|
|
قل لمن الارض ومن فيها ان كنتم تعلمون
|
|
Say: "To whom (is) the earth/Planet Earth and who (is) in it, if you were knowing?"
|
|
|
|
Qul limani al-ardu waman feehain kuntum taAAlamoona
|
|
85. * |
They will say, "To Allah." say: "Yet will ye not receive admonition?"
|
|
They will say, "To GOD." Say, "Why then do you not take heed?"
|
|
سيقولون لله قل افلا تذكرون
|
|
They will say: "To God." Say: "So do you not mention/remember ?"
|
|
|
|
Sayaqooloona lillahi qul afalatathakkaroona
|
|
86. * |
Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?"
|
|
Say, "Who is the Lord of the seven universes; the Lord of the great dominion?"
|
|
قل من رب السماوات السبع ورب العرش العظيم
|
|
Say: "Who (is) the seven skies' Lord, and the great throne's Lord?"
|
|
|
|
Qul man rabbu alssamawati alssabAAi warabbu alAAarshi alAAatheemi
|
|
87. * |
They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?"
|
|
They will say, "GOD." Say, "Why then do you not turn righteous?"
|
|
سيقولون لله قل افلاتتقون
|
|
They will say: "To God." Say: "So do you not fear and obey?"
|
|
|
|
Sayaqooloona lillahi qul afalatattaqoona
|
|
88. * |
Say: "Who is it in whose hands is the governance of all things,--who protects (all), but is not protected (of any)? (say) if ye know."
|
|
Say, "In whose hand is all sovereignty over all things, and He is the only one who can provide help, but needs no help, if you know?"
|
|
قل من بيده ملكوت كل شئ وهو يجير ولايجار عليه ان كنتم تعلمون
|
|
Say: "Who (is) with (in) His hand every thing's ownership, and He protects/defends, and is not (to) be protected/defended on him, if you were knowing?"
|
|
|
|
Qul man biyadihi malakootu kulli shay-in wahuwa yujeeru walayujaru AAalayhi in kuntum taAAlamoona
|
|
89. * |
They will say, "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?"
|
|
They will say, "GOD." Say, "Where did you go wrong?"
|
|
سيقولون لله قل فانى تسحرون
|
|
They will say: "To God," Say: "So how (do) you be bewitched/enchanted/corrupted ?"
|
|
|
|
Sayaqooloona lillahi qul faannatusharoona
|
|
90. * |
We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood!
|
|
We have given them the truth, while they are liars.
|
|
بل اتيناهم بالحق وانهم لكاذبون
|
|
But We came/brought/gave to them with the truth, and that they are lying/denying.
|
|
|
|
Bal ataynahum bialhaqqi wa-innahum lakathiboona
|
|
91. * |
No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah. (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!
|
|
GOD has never begotten a son. Nor was there ever any other god beside Him. Otherwise, each god would have declared independence with his creations, and they would have competed with each other for dominance. GOD be glorified; far above their claims.
|
|
مااتخذ الله من ولد وماكان معه من اله اذا لذهب كل اله بما خلق ولعلا بعضهم على بعض سبحان الله عما يصفون
|
|
God did not take/receive from a child (son), and (there) was not from a god with Him, then each/every god would have gone with what he created, and some of them would have heightened/elevated over some, God's praise/glory about what they describe/categorize.241
|
|
|
|
Maittakhatha Allahu min waladin wamakana maAAahu min ilahin ithan lathahaba kullu ilahin bimakhalaqa walaAAalabaAAduhum AAalabaAAdin subhana Allahi AAammayasifoona
|
|
92. * |
He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him!
|
|
The Knower of all secrets and declarations; be He exalted, far above having a partner.
|
|
عالم الغيب والشهادة فتعالى عما يشركون
|
|
Knower (of) the unseen/hidden and the testimony/presence, so (He is) high, mighty, exalted and dignified about what they share/make partners (with Him).
|
|
|
|
AAalimi alghaybi waalshshahadati fataAAalaAAammayushrikoona
|
|
93. * |
Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,--
|
|
Say, "My Lord, whether You show me (the retribution) they have incurred
|
|
قل رب اما تريني مايوعدون
|
|
Say: "My Lord, if you show me what they are being promised."
|
|
|
|
Qul rabbi immaturiyannee mayooAAadoona
|
|
94. * |
"Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!"
|
|
"My Lord, let me not be one of the transgressing people."
|
|
رب فلا تجعلني في القوم الظالمين
|
|
My Lord, so do not make/put me in (between) the nation the unjust/oppressive.
|
|
|
|
Rabbi falatajAAalnee fee alqawmi alththalimeena
|
|
95. * |
And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned.
|
|
To show you (the retribution) we have reserved for them is something we can easily do.
|
|
وانا على ان نريك مانعدهم لقادرون
|
|
And We (E) on that We show you what We promise them (are) capable/able (E).
|
|
|
|
Wa-innaAAalaan nuriyaka manaAAiduhum laqadiroona
|
|
96. * |
Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say.
|
|
Therefore, counter their evil works with goodness; we are fully aware of their claims.
|
|
ادفع بالتي هي احسن السيئة نحن اعلم بما يصفون
|
|
Push/repel the sin/crime with which it is best, We are more knowledgeable with what they describe/categorize.
|
|
|
|
IdfaAA biallatee hiya ahsanu alssayyi-ata nahnu aAAlamu bimayasifoona
|
|
97. * |
And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones.
|
|
Say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils.
|
|
وقل رب اعوذ بك من همزات الشياطين
|
|
And say: "My Lord, I seek protection by You from the devils' urges/suggestions.
|
|
|
|
Waqul rabbi aAAoothu bika min hamazati alshshayateeni
|
|
98. * |
"And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me."
|
|
"And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they come near me."
|
|
واعوذ بك رب ان يحضرون
|
|
And I seek protection by you, my Lord, that they attend/come to me.
|
|
|
|
WaaAAoothu bika rabbi an yahdurooni
|
|
99. * |
(In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),--
|
|
When death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back.
|
|
حتى اذا جاء احدهم الموت قال رب ارجعون
|
|
Until when the death/lifelessness came to one of them, he said: "My Lord return me."
|
|
|
|
Hattaithajaa ahadahumu almawtu qala rabbi irjiAAooni
|
|
100. * |
"In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up.
|
|
"I will then work righteousness in everything I left." Not true. This is a false claim that he makes. A barrier will separate his soul from this world until resurrection.
|
|
لعلي اعمل صالحا فيما تركت كلا انها كلمة هو قائلها ومن ورائهم برزخ الى يوم يبعثون

Maybe/perhaps I make/do correct/righteous deeds in what I left. No but it is a word/expression he is saying it, and from behind them (is) a barrier to a day/time they be resurrected/revived.

LaAAallee aAAmalusalihan feemataraktu kallainnahakalimatun huwa qa-iluhawamin wara-ihim barzakhun ilayawmi yubAAathoona
|
|
101. * |
Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another!
|
|
When the horn is blown, no relations among them will exist on that day, nor will they care about one another.
|
|
فاذا نفخ في الصور فلا انساب بينهم يومئذ ولايتساءلون
|
|
So if the horn/bugle was blown in, so (there are) no relations/kin between them (on) that day, and nor they ask/question each other.
|
|
|
|
Fa-ithanufikha fee alssoori falaansaba baynahum yawma-ithin walayatasaaloona
|
|
102. * |
Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,--they will attain salvation:
|
|
As for those whose weights are heavy, they will be the winners.
|
|
فمن ثقلت موازينه فاولئك هم المفلحون
|
|
So who his weights/measures became heavy, so those are the successful/winners.
|
|
|
|
Faman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faola-ika humu almuflihoona
|
|
103. * |
But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide.
|
|
Those whose weights are light are the ones who lost their souls; they abide in Hell forever.
|
|
ومن خفت موازينه فاولئك الذين خسروا انفسهم في جهنم خالدون
|
|
And who his weights/measures were reduced/lightened, so those (are) those who lost themselves in Hell immortally/eternally.
|
|
|
|
Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faola-ika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fee jahannama khalidoona
|
|
104. * |
The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced.
|
|
Fire will overwhelm their faces, and they last miserably therein.
|
|
تلفح وجوههم النار وهم فيها كالحون
|
|
The fire scorches/burns their faces/fronts, and they are in it gloomy/grim.
|
|
|
|
Talfahu wujoohahumu alnnaru wahum feehakalihoona
|
|
105. * |
"Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?"
|
|
Were not My revelations recited to you, and you kept on rejecting them?
|
|
الم تكن اياتي تتلى عليكم فكنتم بها تكذبون
|
|
Were not My verses/evidences read/recited on (to) you, so you were with it lying/denying ?
|
|
|
|
Alam takunayatee tutlaAAalaykum fakuntum bihatukaththiboona
|
|
106. * |
They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray!
|
|
They will say, "Our Lord, our wickedness overwhelmed us, and we were people gone astray.
|
|
قالوا ربنا غلبت علينا شقوتنا وكنا قوما ضالين
|
|
They said: "Our Lord our misery/unhappiness defeated/overcame on us, and we were a misguided nation."
|
|
|
|
Qaloo rabbanaghalabat AAalaynashiqwatunawakunnaqawmandalleena
|
|
107. * |
"Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!"
|
|
"Our Lord, take us out of this; if we return (to our old behavior), then we are really wicked."
|
|
ربنا اخرجنا منها فان عدنا فانا ظالمون
|
|
Our Lord, bring us out from it, so if we returned, so we are (then) unjust/oppressive.
|
|
|
|
Rabbanaakhrijnaminhafa-in AAudnafa-innathalimoona
|
|
108. * |
He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me!
|
|
He will say, "Abide therein, humiliated, and do not speak to Me.
|
|
قال اخسأوا فيها ولاتكلمون
|
|
He said: "Be despised/humiliated in it, and do not converse/speak (to) me."
|
|
|
|
Qala ikhsaoo feehawalatukallimooni
|
|
109. * |
"A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!"
|
|
"A group of My servants used to say, `Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and shower us with mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful.'
|
|
انه كان فريق من عبادي يقولون ربنا امنا فاغفر لنا وارحمنا وانت خير الراحمين
|
|
That it truly was a group from My worshippers/slaves saying: "Our Lord, we believed, so forgive for us and have mercy upon us, and you are best (of) the merciful."
|
|
|
|
Innahu kana fareequn min AAibadee yaqooloona rabbanaamannafaighfir lanawairhamnawaanta khayru alrrahimeena
|
|
110. * |
"But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them!
|
|
"But you mocked and ridiculed them, to the extent that you forgot Me. You used to laugh at them.
|
|
فاتخذتموهم سخريا حتى انسوكم ذكري وكنتم منهم تضحكون
|
|
So you took/received them mocking/ridiculing until they made you forget My remembrance/reminder and you were laughing/wondering from them.
|
|
|
|
Faittakhathtumoohum sikhriyyanhattaansawkumthikree wakuntum minhum tadhakoona
|
|
111. * |
"I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..."
|
|
"I have rewarded them today, in return for their steadfastness, by making them the winners."
|
|
اني جزيتهم اليوم بما صبروا انهم هم الفائزون
|
|
That I rewarded/reimbursed them the day/today because (of) what they were patient, that they are, they are the winners/successful.
|
|
|
|
Innee jazaytuhumu alyawma bimasabaroo annahum humu alfa-izoona
|
|
112. * |
He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?"
|
|
He said, "How long have you lasted on earth? How many years?"
|
|
قال كم لبثتم في الارض عدد سنين
|
|
Say: "How much/many number/numerous years you remained in the earth/Planet Earth?"
|
|
|
|
Qala kam labithtum fee al-ardi AAadada sineena
|
|
113. * |
They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account."
|
|
They said, "We lasted a day or part of a day. Ask those who counted."
|
|
قالوا لبثنا يوما او بعض يوم فسأل العادين
|
|
They said: "We stayed/remained a day or part (of) a day, so ask/question the counting."
|
|
|
|
Qaloo labithnayawman aw baAAda yawmin fais-ali alAAaddeena
|
|
114. * |
He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,--if ye had only known!
|
|
He said, "In fact, you stayed but a brief interim, if you only knew.
|
|
قال ان لبثتم الا قليلا لو انكم كنتم تعلمون
|
|
He said: "That truly that you stayed/remained except little, if that you were knowing."
|
|
|
|
Qala in labithtum illaqaleelan law annakum kuntum taAAlamoona
|
|
115. * |
"Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?"
|
|
"Did you think that we created you in vain; that you were not to be returned to us?"
|
|
افحسبتم انما خلقناكم عبثا وانكم الينا لاترجعون
|
|
Did you think/suppose, that We created you playfully and mockingly, and that you are not being returned to Us?
|
|
|
|
Afahasibtum annamakhalaqnakum AAabathan waannakum ilaynalaturjaAAoona
|
|
116. * |
Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour!
|
|
Most exalted is GOD, the true Sovereign. There is no other god beside Him; the Most Honorable Lord, possessor of all authority.
|
|
فتعالى الله الملك الحق لااله الا هو رب العرش الكريم
|
|
So high, mighty, exalted and dignified (is) God the king/owner/possessor, the truth/just, (there is) no God except Him, Lord (of) the throne, the honoured.
|
|
|
|
FataAAalaAllahu almaliku alhaqqu lailaha illahuwa rabbu alAAarshi alkareemi
|
|
117. * |
If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through!
|
|
Anyone who idolizes beside GOD any other god, and without any kind of proof, his reckoning rests with his Lord. The disbelievers never succeed.
|
|
ومن يدع مع الله الها اخر لابرهان له به فانما حسابه عند ربه انه لايفلح الكافرون
|
|
And who calls with God another god, (he has) no proof/evidence for him with it, so but his242account/calculation (is) at his Lord, that He truly does not make the disbelievers succeed/win.
|
|
|
|
Waman yadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahanakhara laburhana lahu bihi fa-innamahisabuhu AAinda rabbihi innahu layuflihu alkafiroona
|
|
118. * |
So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!"
|
|
Say, "My Lord, shower us with forgiveness and mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful."
|
|
وقل رب اغفر وارحم وانت خير الراحمين
|
|
And say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are best (of) the merciful."243
|
|
|
|
Waqul rabbi ighfir wairham waanta khayru alrrahimeena
|
