Concerning the Great News,
|
|
The great event.
|
|
عن النبأ العظيم
|
|
`n alnbA al`Zym
|
|

About which they cannot agree.
|
|
That is disputed by them.
|
|
الذي هم فيه مختلفون
|
|
alXy hm fyh mKtlfwn
|
|
4. * |
Verily, they shall soon (come to) know!
|
|
Indeed, they will find out.
|
|
كلا سيعلمون
|
|
kla sy`lmwn
|
|
5. * |
Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know!
|
|
Most assuredly, they will find out.
|
|
ثم كلا سيعلمون
|
|
xm kla sy`lmwn
|
|
6. * |
Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,
|
|
Did we not make the earth habitable?
|
|
الم نجعل الارض مهادا
|
|
alm nj`l alarD mhada
|
|
7. * |
And the mountains as pegs?
|
|
And the mountains stabilizers?
|
|
والجبال اوتادا
|
|
waljbal awtada
|
|
8. * |
And (have We not) created you in pairs,
|
|
We created you as mates (for one another).
|
|
وخلقناكم ازواجا
|
|
wKlqnakm azwaja
|
|
9. * |
And made your sleep for rest,
|
|
We created sleeping so you can rest.
|
|
وجعلنا نومكم سباتا
|
|
wj`lna nwmkm sbata
|
|
10. * |
And made the night as a covering,
|
|
We made the night a cover.
|
|
وجعلنا الليل لباسا
|
|
wj`lna allyl lbasa
|
|
11. * |
And made the day as a means of subsistence?
|
|
And the day to seek provisions.
|
|
وجعلنا النهار معاشا
|
|
wj`lna alnhar m`a$a
|
|
12. * |
And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,
|
|
We built above you seven universes.
|
|
وبنينا فوقكم سبعا شدادا
|
|
wbnyna fwqkm sb`a $dada
|
|
13. * |
And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour?
|
|
We created a bright lamp.
|
|
وجعلنا سراجا وهاجا
|
|
wj`lna sraja whaja
|
|
14. * |
And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance,
|
|
We send down from the clouds pouring water.
|
|
وانزلنا من المعصرات ماء ثجاجا
|
|
wanzlna mn alm`Srat ma' xjaja
|
|
15. * |
That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables,
|
|
To produce with it grains and plants.
|
|
لنخرج به حبا ونباتا
|
|
lnKrj bh Hba wnbata
|
|
16. * |
And gardens of luxurious growth?
|
|
And various orchards.
|
|
وجنات الفافا
|
|
wjnat alfafa
|
|
17. * |
Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed,
|
|
The Day of Decision is appointed.
|
|
ان يوم الفصل كان ميقاتا
|
|
an ywm alfSl kan myqata
|
|
18. * |
The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds;
|
|
The day the horn is blown, and you come in throngs.
|
|
يوم ينفخ في الصور فتاتون افواجا
|
|
ywm ynfK fy alSwr ftatwn afwaja
|
|
19. * |
And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors,
|
|
The heaven will be opened like gates.
|
|
وفتحت السماء فكانت ابوابا
|
|
wftHt alsma' fkant abwaba
|
|
20. * |
And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage.
|
|
The mountains will be removed, as if they were a mirage.
|
|
وسيرت الجبال فكانت سرابا
|
|
wsyrt aljbal fkant sraba
|
|
21. * |
Truly Hell is as a place of ambush,
|
|
Gehenna is inevitable.
|
|
ان جهنم كانت مرصادا
|
|
an jhnm kant mrSada
|
|
22. * |
For the transgressors a place of destination:
|
|
For the transgressors; it will be their abode.
|
|
للطاغين مابا
|
|
llTaGyn maba
|
|
23. * |
They will dwell therein for ages.
|
|
They stay in it for ages.
|
|
لابثين فيها احقابا
|
|
labxyn fyha aHqaba
|
|
24. * |
Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink,
|
|
They never taste in it coolness, nor a drink.
|
|
لايذوقون فيها بردا ولاشرابا
|
|
layXwqwn fyha brda wla$raba
|
|
25. * |
Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold,
|
|
Only an inferno, and bitter food.
|
|
الا حميما وغساقا
|
|
ala Hmyma wGsaqa
|
|
26. * |
A fitting recompense (for them).
|
|
A just requital.
|
|
جزاء وفاقا
|
|
jza' wfaqa
|
|
27. * |
For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds),
|
|
They never expected to be held accountable.
|
|
انهم كانوا لايرجون حسابا
|
|
anhm kanwa layrjwn Hsaba
|
|
28. * |
But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.
|
|
And utterly rejected our signs.
|
|
وكذبوا باياتنا كذابا
|
|
wkXbwa bayatna kXaba
|
|
29. * |
And all things have We preserved on record.
|
|
We counted everything in a record.
|
|
وكل شئ احصيناه كتابا
|
|
wkl $Y aHSynah ktaba
|
|
30. * |
"So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment."
|
|
Suffer the consequences; we will only increase your retribution.
|
|
فذوقوا فلن نزيدكم الا عذابا
|
|
fXwqwa fln nzydkm ala `Xaba
|
|
31. * |
Verily for the Righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the heart's) desires;
|
|
The righteous have deserved a reward.
|
|
ان للمتقين مفازا
|
|
an llmtqyn mfaza
|
|
32. * |
Gardens enclosed, and grapevines;
|
|
Orchards and grapes.
|
|
حدائق واعنابا
|
|
HdaYq wa`naba
|
|
33. * |
Companions of equal age;
|
|
Magnificent spouses.
|
|
وكواعب اترابا
|
|
wkwa`b atraba
|
|
34. * |
And a cup full (to the brim).
|
|
Delicious drinks.
|
|
وكاسا دهاقا
|
|
wkasa dhaqa
|
|
35. * |
No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-
|
|
They will never hear in it any nonsense or lies.
|
|
لايسمعون فيها لغوا ولا كذابا
|
|
laysm`wn fyha lGwa wla kXaba
|
|
36. * |
Recompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient,
|
|
A reward from your Lord; a generous recompense.
|
|
جزاء من ربك عطاء حسابا
|
|
jza' mn rbk `Ta' Hsaba
|
|
37. * |
(From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, ((Allah)) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him.
|
|
Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. The Most Gracious. No one can abrogate His decisions.
|
|
رب السماوات والارض ومابينهما الرحمن لايملكون منه خطابا
|
|
rb alsmawat walarD wmabynhma alrHmn laymlkwn mnh KTaba
|
|
38. * |
The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by ((Allah)) Most Gracious, and He will say what is right.
|
|
The day will come when the Spirit and the angels will stand in a row. None will speak except those permitted by the Most Gracious, and they will utter only what is right.
|
|
يوم يقوم الروح والملائكة صفا لايتكلمون الا من اذن له الرحمن وقال صوابا
|
|
ywm yqwm alrwH walmlaYk+ Sfa laytklmwn ala mn aXn lh alrHmn wqal Swaba
|
|
39. * |
That Day will be the sure Reality: Therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord!
|
|
Such is the inevitable day. Whoever wills let him take refuge in his Lord.
|
|
ذلك اليوم الحق فمن شاء اتخذ الى ربه مابا
|
|
Xlk alywm alHq fmn $a' atKX ali rbh maba
|
|
40. * |
Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust!"
|
|
We have sufficiently warned you about an imminent retribution. That is the day when everyone will examine what his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish I were dust."
|
|
انا انذرناكم عذابا قريبا يوم ينظر المرء ماقدمت يداه ويقول الكافر ياليتني كنت ترابا
|
|
