1.    Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.     Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.     Christ has truly made us free: then keep your free condition and let no man put a yoke on you again.

2.    Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.     Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.     See, I Paul say to you, that if you undergo circumcision, Christ will be of no use to you.

3.    For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.     Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.     Yes, I give witness again to every man who undergoes circumcision, that he will have to keep all the law.

4.    Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.     You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.     You are cut off from Christ, you who would have righteousness by the law; you are turned away from grace.

5.    For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.     For we, through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.     For we through the Spirit by faith are waiting for the hope of righteousness.

6.    For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.     For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.     Because in Christ Jesus, having circumcision or not having circumcision are equally of no profit; but only faith working through love.

7.    Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?     You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?     You were going on well; who was the cause of your not giving ear to what is true?

8.    This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.     This persuasion is not from him who calls you.     This ready belief did not come from him who had made you his.

9.    A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.     A little yeast grows through the whole lump.     A little leaven makes a change in all the mass.

10.    I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.     I have confidence toward you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.     I am certain about you in the Lord, that you will be of no other mind; but he who is troubling you will have his punishment, whoever he is.

11.    And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.     But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.     But I, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still attacked? then has the shame of the cross been taken away.

12.    I would they were even cut off which trouble you.     I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.     My desire is that they who give you trouble might even be cut off themselves.

13.    For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.     For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.     Because you, brothers, were marked out to be free; only do not make use of your free condition to give the flesh its chance, but through love be servants one to another.

14.    For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.     For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."{Leviticus 19:18}     For all the law is made complete in one word, even in this, Have love for your neighbour as for yourself.

15.    But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.     But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don't consume one another.     But if you are given to fighting with one another, take care that you are not the cause of destruction one to another.

16.    This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.     But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh.     But I say, Go on in the Spirit, and you will not come under the rule of the evil desires of the flesh.

17.    For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.     For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.     For the flesh has desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; because these are opposite the one to the other; so that you may not do the things which you have a mind to do.

18.    But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.     But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.     But if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19.    Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,     Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,     Now the works of the flesh are clear, which are these: evil desire, unclean things, wrong use of the senses,

20.    Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,     idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,     Worship of images, use of strange powers, hates, fighting, desire for what another has, angry feelings, attempts to get the better of others, divisions, false teachings,

21.    Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.     envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.     Envy, uncontrolled drinking and feasting, and such things: of which I give you word clearly, even as I did in the past, that they who do such things will have no part in the kingdom of God.

22.    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,     But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,{or, faithfulness}     But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, a quiet mind, kind acts, well-doing, faith,

23.    Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.     gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.     Gentle behaviour, control over desires: against such there is no law.

24.    And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.     Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.     And those who are Christ's have put to death on the cross the flesh with its passions and its evil desires.

25.    If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.     If we live by the Spirit, let's also walk by the Spirit.     If we are living by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us be guided.

26.    Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.     Let's not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.     Let us not be full of self-glory, making one another angry, having envy of one another.
