1.    In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.     In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.     בשנת־מות  המלך 
עזיהו  ואראה
את־אדני  ישב
על־כסא  רם  ונשא
ושוליו  מלאים
את־ההיכל׃
    BShNTh-MVTh HMLK 'yZYHV V'aUr'aH 'aTh-'aDNY YShB 'yL-KS'a UrM VNSh'a VShVLYV ML'aYM 'aTh-HHYKL.     In the year of the death of king Uzziah -- I see the Lord, sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and His train is filling the temple.     in anno quo mortuus est rex Ozias vidi Dominum sedentem super solium excelsum et elevatum et ea quae sub eo erant implebant templum
 
2.    Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew.     Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.     שרפים  עמדים  ממעל 
לו  שש  כנפים  שש
כנפים  לאחד  בשתים
יכסה  פניו  ובשתים
יכסה  רגליו  ובשתים
יעופף׃
    ShUrPhYM 'yMDYM MM'yL LV ShSh KNPhYM ShSh KNPhYM L'aChD BShThYM YKSH PhNYV VBShThYM YKSH UrGLYV VBShThYM Y'yVPhPh.     Seraphs are standing above it: six wings hath each one; with two each covereth its face, and with two each covereth its feet, and with two each flieth.     seraphin stabant super illud sex alae uni et sex alae alteri duabus velabant faciem eius et duabus velabant pedes eius et duabus volabant
 
3.    One called to another, and said, "Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!"     And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.     וקרא  זה  אל־זה 
ואמר  קדוש  קדוש
קדוש  יהוה  צבאות
מלא  כל־הארץ
כבודו׃
    VQUr'a ZH 'aL-ZH V'aMUr QDVSh QDVSh QDVSh YHVH TShB'aVTh ML'a KL-H'aUrTSh KBVDV.     And this one hath called unto that, and hath said: `Holy, Holy, Holy, is Jehovah of Hosts, The fulness of all the earth is His glory.`     et clamabant alter ad alterum et dicebant sanctus sanctus sanctus Dominus exercituum plena est omnis terra gloria eius
 
4.    The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.     And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.     וינעו  אמות  הספים 
מקול  הקורא  והבית
ימלא  עשן׃
    VYN'yV 'aMVTh HSPhYM MQVL HQVUr'a VHBYTh YML'a 'yShN.     And the posts of the thresholds are moved by the voice of him who is calling, and the house is full of smoke.     et commota sunt superliminaria cardinum a voce clamantis et domus impleta est fumo
 
5.    Then I said, "Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!"     Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.     ואמר  אוי־לי 
כי־נדמיתי  כי  איש
טמא־שפתים  אנכי
ובתוך  עם־טמא
שפתים  אנכי  יושב
כי  את־המלך  יהוה
צבאות  ראו  עיני׃
    V'aMUr 'aVY-LY KY-NDMYThY KY 'aYSh TM'a-ShPhThYM 'aNKY VBThVK 'yM-TM'a ShPhThYM 'aNKY YVShB KY 'aTh-HMLK YHVH TShB'aVTh Ur'aV 'yYNY.     And I say, `Wo to me, for I have been silent, For a man -- unclean of lips am I, And in midst of a people unclean of lips I am dwelling, Because the King, Jehovah of Hosts, have my eyes seen.`     et dixi vae mihi quia tacui quia vir pollutus labiis ego sum et in medio populi polluta labia habentis ego habito et Regem Dominum exercituum vidi oculis meis
 
6.    Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.     Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:     ויעף  אלי  אחד 
מן־השרפים  ובידו
רצפה  במלקחים  לקח
מעל  המזבח׃
    VY'yPh 'aLY 'aChD MN-HShUrPhYM VBYDV UrTShPhH BMLQChYM LQCh M'yL HMZBCh.     And flee unto me doth one of the seraphs, and in his hand a burning coal, (with tongs he hath taken it from off the altar,)     et volavit ad me unus de seraphin et in manu eius calculus quem forcipe tulerat de altari
 
7.    He touched my mouth with it, and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven."     And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.     ויגע  על־פי  ויאמר 
הנה  נגע  זה
על־שפתיך  וסר  עונך
וחטאתך  תכפר׃
    VYG'y 'yL-PhY VY'aMUr HNH NG'y ZH 'yL-ShPhThYK VSUr 'yVNK VChT'aThK ThKPhUr.     and he striketh against my mouth, and saith: `Lo, this hath stricken against thy lips, And turned aside is thine iniquity, And thy sin is covered.`     et tetigit os meum et dixit ecce tetigit hoc labia tua et auferetur iniquitas tua et peccatum tuum mundabitur
 
8.    I heard the Lord's voice, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am. Send me!"     Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.     ואשמע  את־קול  אדני 
אמר  את־מי  אשלח
ומי  ילך־לנו  ואמר
הנני  שלחני׃
    V'aShM'y 'aTh-QVL 'aDNY 'aMUr 'aTh-MY 'aShLCh VMY YLK-LNV V'aMUr HNNY ShLChNY.     And I hear the voice of the Lord, saying: `Whom do I send? and who doth go for Us?` And I say, `Here am I, send me.`     et audivi vocem Domini dicentis quem mittam et quis ibit nobis et dixi ecce ego sum mitte me
 
9.    He said, "Go, and tell this people, 'You hear indeed, but don't understand; and you see indeed, but don't perceive.'     And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.     ויאמר  לך  ואמרת 
לעם  הזה  שמעו  שמוע
ואל־תבינו  וראו
ראו  ואל־תדעו׃
    VY'aMUr LK V'aMUrTh L'yM HZH ShM'yV ShMV'y V'aL-ThBYNV VUr'aV Ur'aV V'aL-ThD'yV.     And He saith, `Go, and thou hast said to this people, Hear ye -- to hear, and ye do not understand, And see ye -- to see, and ye do not know.     et dixit vade et dices populo huic audite audientes et nolite intellegere et videte visionem et nolite cognoscere
 
10.    Make the heart of this people fat. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed."     Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.     השמן  לב־העם  הזה

ועיניו  השע
פן־יראה  בעיניו
ובאזניו  ישמע
ולבבו  יבין  ושב
ורפא  לו׃
    HShMN LB-H'yM HZH V'aZNYV HKBD V'yYNYV HSh'y PhN-YUr'aH B'yYNYV VB'aZNYV YShM'y VLBBV YBYN VShB VUrPh'a LV.     Declare fat the heart of this people, And its ears declare heavy, And its eyes declare dazzled, Lest it see with its eyes, And with its ears hear, and its heart consider, And it hath turned back, and hath health.`     excaeca cor populi huius et aures eius adgrava et oculos eius claude ne forte videat oculis suis et auribus suis audiat et corde suo intellegat et convertatur et sanem eum
 
11.    Then I said, "Lord, how long?" He answered, "Until cities are waste without inhabitant, and houses without man, and the land becomes utterly waste,     Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,     ואמר  עד־מתי  אדני 
ויאמר  עד  אשר
אם־שאו  ערים  מאין
יושב  ובתים  מאין
אדם  והאדמה  תשאה
שממה׃
    V'aMUr 'yD-MThY 'aDNY VY'aMUr 'yD 'aShUr 'aM-Sh'aV 'yUrYM M'aYN YVShB VBThYM M'aYN 'aDM VH'aDMH ThSh'aH ShMMH.     And I say, `Till when, O Lord?` And He saith, `Surely till cities have been wasted without inhabitant, And houses without man, And the ground be wasted -- a desolation,     et dixi usquequo Domine et dixit donec desolentur civitates absque habitatore et domus sine homine et terra relinquetur deserta
 
12.    And Yahweh has removed men far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.     And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.     ורחק  יהוה  את־האדם 
ורבה  העזובה  בקרב
הארץ׃
    VUrChQ YHVH 'aTh-H'aDM VUrBH H'yZVBH BQUrB H'aUrTSh.     And Jehovah hath put man far off, And great is the forsaken part in the heart of the land.     et longe faciet Dominus homines et multiplicabitur quae derelicta fuerat in medio terrae
 
13.    If there is a tenth left in it, that also will in turn be consumed: as a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stock remains when they are felled; so the holy seed is its stock."     But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.     ועוד  בה  עשריה 
ושבה  והיתה  לבער
כאלה  וכאלון  אשר
בשלכת  מצבת  בם  זרע
קדש  מצבתה׃
    V'yVD BH 'yShUrYH VShBH VHYThH LB'yUr K'aLH VK'aLVN 'aShUr BShLKTh MTShBTh BM ZUr'y QDSh MTShBThH.     And yet in it a tenth, and it hath turned, And hath been for a burning, As a teil-tree, and as an oak, that in falling, Have substance in them, The holy seed is its substance!`     et adhuc in ea decimatio et convertetur et erit in ostensionem sicut terebinthus et sicuti quercus quae expandit ramos suos semen sanctum erit id quod steterit in ea
