1.    Working together, we entreat also that you not receive the grace of God in vain,     We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.     συνεργουντες δε και παρακαλουμεν μη εις κενον την χαριν του θεου δεξασθαι υμας     And working together also we call upon you that ye receive not in vain the grace of God --     adiuvantes autem et exhortamur ne in vacuum gratiam Dei recipiatis
 
2.    for he says, "At an acceptable time I listened to you, in a day of salvation I helped you."{Isaiah 49:8} Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.     (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)     λεγει γαρ καιρω δεκτω επηκουσα σου και εν ημερα σωτηριας εβοηθησα σοι ιδου νυν καιρος ευπροσδεκτος ιδου νυν ημερα σωτηριας     for He saith, `In an acceptable time I did hear thee, and in a day of salvation I did help thee, lo, now is a well-accepted time; lo, now, a day of salvation,` --     ait enim tempore accepto exaudivi te et in die salutis adiuvavi te ecce nunc tempus acceptabile ecce nunc dies salutis
 
3.    We give no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our service may not be blamed,     Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:     μηδεμιαν εν μηδενι διδοντες προσκοπην ινα μη μωμηθη η διακονια     in nothing giving any cause of offence, that the ministration may be not blamed,     nemini dantes ullam offensionem ut non vituperetur ministerium
 
4.    but in everything commending ourselves, as servants of God, in great endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses,     But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,     αλλ εν παντι συνισταντεσ εαυτους ως θεου διακονοι εν υπομονη πολλη εν θλιψεσιν εν αναγκαις εν στενοχωριαις     but in everything recommending ourselves as God`s ministrants; in much patience, in tribulations, in necessities, in distresses,     sed in omnibus exhibeamus nosmet ipsos sicut Dei ministros in multa patientia in tribulationibus in necessitatibus in angustiis
 
5.    in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings;     In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;     εν πληγαις εν φυλακαις εν ακαταστασιαις εν κοποις εν αγρυπνιαις εν νηστειαις     in stripes, in imprisonments, in insurrections, in labours, in watchings, in fastings,     in plagis in carceribus in seditionibus in laboribus in vigiliis in ieiuniis
 
6.    in pureness, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in sincere love,     By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,     εν αγνοτητι εν γνωσει εν μακροθυμια εν χρηστοτητι εν πνευματι αγιω εν αγαπη ανυποκριτω     in pureness, in knowledge, in long-suffering, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in love unfeigned,     in castitate in scientia in longanimitate in suavitate in Spiritu Sancto in caritate non ficta

11.    Our mouth is open to you, Corinthians. Our heart is enlarged.     O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.     το στομα ημων ανεωγεν προς υμας κορινθιοι η καρδια ημων πεπλατυνται     Our mouth hath been open unto you, O Corinthians, our heart hath been enlarged!     os nostrum patet ad vos o Corinthii cor nostrum dilatatum est
 
12.    You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections.     Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.     ου στενοχωρεισθε εν ημιν στενοχωρεισθε δε εν τοις σπλαγχνοις υμων     ye are not straitened in us, and ye are straitened in your own bowels,     non angustiamini in nobis angustiamini autem in visceribus vestris
 
13.    Now in return, I speak as to my children, you also be open wide.     Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.     την δε αυτην αντιμισθιαν ως τεκνοις λεγω πλατυνθητε και υμεις     and as a recompense of the same kind, (as to children I say it,) be ye enlarged -- also ye!     eandem autem habentes remunerationem tamquam filiis dico dilatamini et vos
 
14.    Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?     Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?     μη γινεσθε ετεροζυγουντες απιστοις τις γαρ μετοχη δικαιοσυνη και ανομια η τις κοινωνια φωτι προς σκοτος     Become not yoked with others -- unbelievers, for what partaking is there to righteousness and lawlessness?     nolite iugum ducere cum infidelibus quae enim participatio iustitiae cum iniquitate aut quae societas luci ad tenebras
 
15.    What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?     And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?     τις δε συμφωνησις χριστου προς βελιαρ η τις μερις πιστω μετα απιστου     and what fellowship to light with darkness? and what concord to Christ with Belial? or what part to a believer with an unbeliever?     quae autem conventio Christi ad Belial aut quae pars fideli cum infidele
 
16.    What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people."{Leviticus 26:12; Jeremiah 32:38; Ezekiel 37:27}     And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.     τις δε συγκαταθεσις ναω θεου μετα ειδωλων ημεισ γαρ ναος θεου εσμεν ζωντος καθως ειπεν ο θεος οτι ενοικησω εν αυτοις και εμπεριπατησω και εσομαι αυτων θεος και αυτοι εσονται μου λαος     and what agreement to the sanctuary of God with idols? for ye are a sanctuary of the living God, according as God said -- `I will dwell in them, and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people,     qui autem consensus templo Dei cum idolis vos enim estis templum Dei vivi sicut dicit Deus quoniam inhabitabo in illis et inambulabo et ero illorum Deus et ipsi erunt mihi populus
 
17.    Therefore, "'Come out from among them, and be separate,' says the Lord. 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you.{Isaiah 52:11; Ezekiel 20:34,41}     Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,     διο εξελθατε εκ μεσου αυτων και αφορισθητε λεγει κυριος και ακαθαρτου μη απτεσθε καγω εισδεξομαι υμας     wherefore, come ye forth out of the midst of them, and be separated, saith the Lord, and an unclean thing do not touch, and I -- I will receive you,     propter quod exite de medio eorum et separamini dicit Dominus et inmundum ne tetigeritis
 
18.    I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,' says the Lord Almighty."{2 Samuel 7:14; 7:8}     And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.     και εσομαι υμιν εις πατερα και υμεις εσεσθε μοι εις υιους και θυγατερας λεγει κυριος παντοκρατωρ     and I will be to you for a Father, and ye -- ye shall be to Me for sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.`     et ego recipiam vos et ero vobis in patrem et vos eritis mihi in filios et filias dicit Dominus omnipotens
