| 1. * | سورة الصف بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ سبح لله مافي السماوات ومافي الارض وهو العزيز الحكيم | swr+ alSf bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? sbH llh mafy alsmawat wmafy alarD whw al`zyz alHkym | What (is) in the skies/space and what (is) in the earth/Planet Earth praise/glorify to God, and He is the glorious/mighty, the wise/judicious. | Glorifying GOD is everything in the heavens and everything on earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise. | Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, let it declare the Praises and Glory of Allah. for He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. | ||||
| 2. * | ياايها الذين امنوا لم تقولون مالا تفعلون | yaayha alXyn amnwa lm tqwlwn mala tf`lwn | You, you those believed, why/for what (do) you say what you do not make/do ? | O you who believe, why do you say what you do not do? | O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not? | ||||
| 3. * | كبر مقتا عند الله ان تقولوا مالاتفعلون | kbr mqta `nd allh an tqwlwa malatf`lwn | Abhorrence/hatred became big at God that (E) you say what you do not make/do. | Most abominable in the sight of GOD is that you say what you do not do. | Grievously odious is it in the sight of Allah that ye say that which ye do not. | ||||
| 4. * | ان الله يحب الذين يقاتلون في سبيله صفا كانهم بنيان مرصوص | an allh yHb alXyn yqatlwn fy sbylh Sfa kanhm bnyan mrSwS | That truly God loves/likes those who fight in His way/path (in) a row/line as if they are (a) sticking together and (a) well arranged building/structure. | GOD loves those who fight in His cause united in one column, like the bricks in one wall. | Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure. | ||||
| 5. * | واذ قال موسى لقومه ياقوم لم تؤذونني وقد تعلمون اني رسول الله اليكم فلما زاغوا ازاغ الله قلوبهم والله لايهدي القوم الفاسقين | waX qal mwsi lqwmh yaqwm lm tWXwnny wqd t`lmwn any rswl allh alykm flma zaGwa azaG allh qlwbhm wallh layhdy alqwm alfasqyn | And when Moses said to his nation: "You my nation, why/for what (do) you harm mildly/harm me, and you have known that I am God's messenger to you?" So when they deviated/turned away, God deviated/turned away their hearts/minds, and God does not guide the nation, the debauchers. | Recall that Moses said to his people, "O my people, why do you hurt me, even though you know that I am GOD's messenger to you?" When they deviated, GOD diverted their hearts. For GOD does not guide the wicked people | And remember, Moses said to his people: "O my people! why do ye vex and insult me, though ye know that I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you?" Then when they went wrong, Allah let their hearts go wrong. For Allah guides not those who are rebellious transgressors. | ||||
| 6. * | واذ قال عيسى ابن مريم يابني اسرائيل اني رسول الله اليكم مصدقا لما بين يدي من التوراة ومبشرا برسول ياتي من بعدي اسمه احمد فلما جاءهم بالبينات قالوا هذا سحر مبين | waX qal `ysi abn mrym yabny asraYyl any rswl allh alykm mSdqa lma byn ydy mn altwra+ wmb$ra brswl yaty mn b`dy asmh aHmd flma ja'hm balbynat qalwa hXa sHr mbyn | And when Jesus Mary's son said: "You Israel's sons and daughters, that I am God's messenger to you, confirming to what (is) between my hands from the Torah, and an announcer of good news with a messenger (that) comes from after me, his name (is) Ahmad." So when he came to them with the evidences, they said: "That (is) clear/evident magic/sorcery." | Recall that Jesus, son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, I am GOD's messenger to you, confirming the Torah and bringing good news of a messenger to come after me whose name will be even more praised (Ahmad)." Then, when he showed them the clear proofs, they said, "This is profound magic." | And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!" | ||||
| 7. * | ومن اظلم ممن افترى على الله الكذب وهو يدعي الى الاسلام والله لايهدي القوم الظالمين | wmn aZlm mmn aftri `li allh alkXb whw yd`y ali alaslam wallh layhdy alqwm alZalmyn | And who (is) more unjust/oppressive than who fabricated/cut and split the lies/falsehood, and He is being called to the Islam/submission/surrender to God? And God does not guide the nation, the unjust/oppressive. | Who is more evil than one who fabricates lies about GOD, and he is being invited to Submission? GOD does not guide the evil people. | Who doth greater wrong than one who invents falsehood against Allah, even as he is being invited to Islam? And Allah guides not those who do wrong. | ||||
| 8. * | يريدون ليطفؤوا نور الله بافواههم والله متم نوره ولو كره الكافرون | yrydwn lyTfWwa nwr allh bafwahhm wallh mtm nwrh wlw krh alkafrwn | They want/intend to extinguish/put out God's light with their mouths, and God (is) completing His light, and even if the disbelievers hated (it). | They wish to put out GOD's light with their mouths. But GOD insists upon perfecting His light, in spite of the disbelievers. | Their intention is to extinguish Allah.s Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it). | ||||
| 9. * | هو الذي ارسل رسوله بالهدى ودين الحق ليظهره على الدين كله ولو كره المشركون | hw alXy arsl rswlh balhdi wdyn alHq lyZhrh `li aldyn klh wlw krh alm$rkwn | He is who sent His messenger with the guidance, and the truth's religion, to make it visible/overcome on the religion all of it, and even if the sharers/takers of partners (with God) hated (it). | He has sent His messenger with the guidance and the true religion, and will make it dominate all religions, in spite of the idol worshipers. | It is He Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it). | ||||
| 10. * | ياايها الذين امنوا هل ادلكم على تجارة تنجيكم من عذاب اليم | yaayha alXyn amnwa hl adlkm `li tjar+ tnjykm mn `Xab alym | You, you those who believed, do I guide/lead you on (to) commercial trade/buying and selling (that) saves/rescues you from a painful torture? | O you who believe, let Me inform you of a trade that will save you from painful retribution. | O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty?- | ||||
| 11. * | تؤمنون بالله ورسوله وتجاهدون في سبيل الله باموالكم وانفسكم ذلكم خير لكم ان كنتم تعلمون | tWmnwn ballh wrswlh wtjahdwn fy sbyl allh bamwalkm wanfskm Xlkm Kyr lkm an kntm t`lmwn | You believe with (in) God and His messenger, and you struggle/exert in God's way/path with your possessions/wealths and your selves, that (is) best for you if you were knowing. | Believe in GOD and His messenger and strive in the cause of GOD with your money and your lives. This is the best deal for you, if you only knew. | That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! | ||||
| 12. * | يغفر لكم ذنوبكم ويدخلكم جنات تجري من تحتها الانهار ومساكن طيبة في جنات عدن ذلك الفوز العظيم | yGfr lkm Xnwbkm wydKlkm jnat tjry mn tHtha alanhar wmsakn Tyb+ fy jnat `dn Xlk alfwz al`Zym | He forgives for you your crimes, and He enters you treed gardens/paradises, the rivers/waterways flow from beneath it, and good/beautiful residences in treed gardens/paradises (as) eternal residence, that (is) the winning/success, the great. | In return, He forgives your sins, and admits you into gardens with flowing streams, with beautiful mansions in the gardens of Eden. This is the greatest triumph. | He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement. | ||||
| 13. * | واخرى تحبونها نصر من الله وفتح قريب وبشر المؤمنين | waKri tHbwnha nSr mn allh wftH qryb wb$r almWmnyn | And another (others) you love/like it, victory/aid from God and a near/close opening/victory, and announce good news (to) the believers. | Additionally, you get something you truly love: support from GOD and guaranteed victory. Give good news to the believers. | And another (favour will He bestow,) which ye do love,- help from Allah and a speedy victory. So give the Glad Tidings to the Believers. | ||||
| 14. * | ياايها الذين امنوا كونوا انصار الله كما قال عيسى ابن مريم للحواريين من انصاري الى الله قال الحواريون نحن انصار الله فامنت طائفة من بني اسرائيل وكفرت طائفة فايدنا الذين امنوا على عدوهم فاصبحوا ظاهرين | yaayha alXyn amnwa kwnwa anSar allh kma qal `ysi abn mrym llHwaryyn mn anSary ali allh qal alHwarywn nHn anSar allh famnt TaYf+ mn bny asraYyl wkfrt TaYf+ faydna alXyn amnwa `li `dwhm faSbHwa Zahryn | You, you those who believed, be God's supporters, as/like Jesus Mary's son said to the faithful and pure friends/deciples : "Who (are) my victoriors/supporters to God?" The faithful and pure friends/deciples said: "We are God's victoriors/supporters." So a group of people from Israel's sons and daughters believed, and a group of people disbelieved, so We supported those who believed over their enemy, so they became conquering/defeating | O you who believe, be GOD's supporters, like the disciples of Jesus, son of Mary. When he said to them, "Who are my supporters towards GOD," they said, "We are GOD's supporters." Thus, a group from the Children of Israel believed, and another group disbelieved. We helped those who believed against their enemy, until they won. | O ye who believe! Be ye helpers of Allah. As said Jesus the son of Mary to the Disciples, "Who will be my helpers to (the work of) Allah." Said the disciples, "We are Allah.s helpers!" then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved: But We gave power to those who believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed. | ||||
