1.  *     سورة النبا  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ عم يتساءلون     swr+ alnba  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? `m ytsa'lwn     About what (do) they ask/question each other?     What are they questioning?     Concerning what are they disputing?
 
2.  *     عن النبأ العظيم     `n alnbA al`Zym     About the information/news the great.     The great event.     Concerning the Great News,
 
3.  *     الذي هم فيه مختلفون     alXy hm fyh mKtlfwn     Which they are in it differing/disagreeing.     That is disputed by them.     About which they cannot agree.
 
4.  *     كلا سيعلمون     kla sy`lmwn     No, but they will know.     Indeed, they will find out.     Verily, they shall soon (come to) know!
 
5.  *     ثم كلا سيعلمون     xm kla sy`lmwn     Then no but they will know.     Most assuredly, they will find out.     Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know!
 
6.  *     الم نجعل الارض مهادا     alm nj`l alarD mhada     Did We not make the earth/Planet Earth prepared/spread ?     Did we not make the earth habitable?     Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,
 
7.  *     والجبال اوتادا     waljbal awtada     And the mountains (as) stakes/hooks (anchors).     And the mountains stabilizers?     And the mountains as pegs?
 
8.  *     وخلقناكم ازواجا     wKlqnakm azwaja     And We created you pairs/couples/kinds.     We created you as mates (for one another).     And (have We not) created you in pairs,
 
9.  *     وجعلنا نومكم سباتا     wj`lna nwmkm sbata     And We made your sleep rest/tranquil.     We created sleeping so you can rest.     And made your sleep for rest,
 
10.  *     وجعلنا الليل لباسا     wj`lna allyl lbasa     And We made the night a cover.     We made the night a cover.     And made the night as a covering,
 
11.  *     وجعلنا النهار معاشا     wj`lna alnhar m`a$a     And We made the daytime (for) livelihood/sustenance.     And the day to seek provisions.     And made the day as a means of subsistence?
 
12.  *     وبنينا فوقكم سبعا شدادا     wbnyna fwqkm sb`a $dada     And We built/constructed above you seven strong.     We built above you seven universes.     And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,
 
13.  *     وجعلنا سراجا وهاجا     wj`lna sraja whaja     And We made a lamp glowing/illuminating.     We created a bright lamp.     And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour?
 
14.  *     وانزلنا من المعصرات ماء ثجاجا     wanzlna mn alm`Srat ma' xjaja     And We descended from the raining clouds strongly flowing/pouring water.     We send down from the clouds pouring water.     And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance,
 
15.  *     لنخرج به حبا ونباتا     lnKrj bh Hba wnbata     To bring out with it seeds/grains and plants/growth.     To produce with it grains and plants.     That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables,
 
16.  *     وجنات الفافا     wjnat alfafa     And interwoven/encircled treed gardens/paradises.     And various orchards.     And gardens of luxurious growth?
 
17.  *     ان يوم الفصل كان ميقاتا     an ywm alfSl kan myqata     That truly the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day was an appointed time.     The Day of Decision is appointed.     Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed,
 
18.  *     يوم ينفخ في الصور فتاتون افواجا     ywm ynfK fy alSwr ftatwn afwaja     A day/time the horn/bugle/instrument be blown in, so you come (in) groups/crowds     The day the horn is blown, and you come in throngs.     The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds;
 
19.  *     وفتحت السماء فكانت ابوابا     wftHt alsma' fkant abwaba     And the sky/space was opened, so it was/became doors/entrances.     The heaven will be opened like gates.     And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors,
 
20.  *     وسيرت الجبال فكانت سرابا     wsyrt aljbal fkant sraba     And the mountains were made to move, so it was/became a mirage.     The mountains will be removed, as if they were a mirage.     And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage.
 
21.  *     ان جهنم كانت مرصادا     an jhnm kant mrSada     That truly Hell was/is an observatory/ambuscade.     Gehenna is inevitable.     Truly Hell is as a place of ambush,
 
22.  *     للطاغين مابا     llTaGyn maba     For the tyrants a return.     For the transgressors; it will be their abode.     For the transgressors a place of destination:
 
23.  *     لابثين فيها احقابا     labxyn fyha aHqaba     Remaining/waiting in it long periods of time/centuries.     They stay in it for ages.     They will dwell therein for ages.
 
24.  *     لايذوقون فيها بردا ولاشرابا     layXwqwn fyha brda wla$raba     They do not taste/experience in it cold/cool and nor a drink.     They never taste in it coolness, nor a drink.     Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink,
 
25.  *     الا حميما وغساقا     ala Hmyma wGsaqa     Except hot water/sweat and decayed/rotten.     Only an inferno, and bitter food.     Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold,
 
26.  *     جزاء وفاقا     jza' wfaqa     A suiting/fitting reimbursement.     A just requital.     A fitting recompense (for them).
 
27.  *     انهم كانوا لايرجون حسابا     anhm kanwa layrjwn Hsaba     That, they truly were not hoping/expecting counting/calculation.     They never expected to be held accountable.     For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds),
 
28.  *     وكذبوا باياتنا كذابا     wkXbwa bayatna kXaba     And they lied/denied/falsified with Our verses/evidences lying/denying/falsifying.     And utterly rejected our signs.     But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.
 
29.  *     وكل شئ احصيناه كتابا     wkl $Y aHSynah ktaba     And every thing We counted/computed it (in) a Book/judgment.     We counted everything in a record.     And all things have We preserved on record.
 
30.  *     فذوقوا فلن نزيدكم الا عذابا     fXwqwa fln nzydkm ala `Xaba     So taste/experience, so We will never/not increase you except torture.     Suffer the consequences; we will only increase your retribution.     "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment."
 
31.  *     ان للمتقين مفازا     an llmtqyn mfaza     That truly to the fearing and obeying (is) a success/triumph.     The righteous have deserved a reward.     Verily for the Righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the heart's) desires;
 
32.  *     حدائق واعنابا     HdaYq wa`naba     Fenced gardens and grapes.     Orchards and grapes.     Gardens enclosed, and grapevines;
 
33.  *     وكواعب اترابا     wkwa`b atraba     And full grown breasts and same age/not aging.     Magnificent spouses.     Companions of equal age;
 
34.  *     وكاسا دهاقا     wkasa dhaqa     And a cup filled to the rim.     Delicious drinks.     And a cup full (to the brim).
 
35.  *     لايسمعون فيها لغوا ولا كذابا     laysm`wn fyha lGwa wla kXaba     They do not hear/listen in it nonsense/senseless talk and nor lying.     They will never hear in it any nonsense or lies.     No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-
 
36.  *     جزاء من ربك عطاء حسابا     jza' mn rbk `Ta' Hsaba     Reimbursement from your Lord a gift/grant account.     A reward from your Lord; a generous recompense.     Recompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient,
 
37.  *     رب السماوات والارض ومابينهما الرحمن لايملكون منه خطابا     rb alsmawat walarD wmabynhma alrHmn laymlkwn mnh KTaba     The skies'/space's and the earth's/Planet Earth's and what (is) between them (B)'s Lord, the merciful, they do not own/possess from Him an address/conversation (they can not talk to Him).     Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. The Most Gracious. No one can abrogate His decisions.     (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, ((Allah)) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him.
 
38.  *     يوم يقوم الروح والملائكة صفا لايتكلمون الا من اذن له الرحمن وقال صوابا     ywm yqwm alrwH walmlaYk+ Sfa laytklmwn ala mn aXn lh alrHmn wqal Swaba     A day/time the Soul/Spirit and the angels stand (in) a row/arranged, they do not speak/talk,except who the merciful permitted/allowed for him, and he said right/correct.     The day will come when the Spirit and the angels will stand in a row. None will speak except those permitted by the Most Gracious, and they will utter only what is right.     The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by ((Allah)) Most Gracious, and He will say what is right.
 
39.  *     ذلك اليوم الحق فمن شاء اتخذ الى ربه مابا     Xlk alywm alHq fmn $a' atKX ali rbh maba     That (is) the day/time, the real/true/just, so who willed/wanted took/received to his Lord a return.     Such is the inevitable day. Whoever wills let him take refuge in his Lord.     That Day will be the sure Reality: Therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord!
 
40.  *     انا انذرناكم عذابا قريبا يوم ينظر المرء ماقدمت يداه ويقول الكافر ياليتني كنت ترابا     ana anXrnakm `Xaba qryba ywm ynZr almr' maqdmt ydah wyqwl alkafr yalytny knt traba     We (E), We warned/gave you notice of (a) near/close torture, a day/time the human/man looks (to) what his two hands advanced/undertook, and the disbeliever says: "Oh, if only I was dust/earth."454     We have sufficiently warned you about an imminent retribution. That is the day when everyone will examine what his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish I were dust."     Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust!"
