1.  *     سورة الانفال  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  يسألونك عن الانفال قل الانفال لله والرسول فاتقوا الله واصلحوا ذات بينكم واطيعوا الله ورسوله ان كنتم مؤمنين     swr+ alanfal  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym  ysAlwnk `n alanfal ql alanfal llh walrswl fatqwa allh waSlHwa Xat bynkm waTy`wa allh wrswlh an kntm mWmnyn     They ask/question you about the spoils/gifts. Say: "The spoils/gifts (are) to God and the messenger, so fear and obey God and correct/repair that what is between you, and obey God and His messenger, if you were believing."     They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say: "(such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger. So fear Allah, and keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe."

2.  *     انما المؤمنون الذين اذا ذكر الله وجلت قلوبهم واذا تليت عليهم اياته زادتهم ايمانا وعلى ربهم يتوكلون     anma almWmnwn alXyn aXa Xkr allh wjlt qlwbhm waXa tlyt `lyhm ayath zadthm aymana w`li rbhm ytwklwn     But the believers (are) those who if God was mentioned/remembered/praised their hearts/minds become afraid/apprehensive, and if His verses/evidences were read/recited on them, it increased them faith/belief, and on their Lord they depend/trust in.     For, Believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened, and put (all) their trust in their Lord;

3.  *     الذين يقيمون الصلاة ومما رزقناهم ينفقون     alXyn yqymwn alSla+ wmma rzqnahm ynfqwn     Those who keep up the prayers and from what We provided for them they spend.     Who establish regular prayers and spend (freely) out of the gifts We have given them for sustenance:

5.  *     كما اخرجك ربك من بيتك بالحق وان فريقا من المؤمنين لكارهون     kma aKrjk rbk mn bytk balHq wan fryqa mn almWmnyn lkarhwn     As/like your Lord brought you out from your house/home with the right, and that a group/party from the believers (are) hating (E).     Just as thy Lord ordered thee out of thy house in truth, even though a party among the Believers disliked it,

6.  *     يجادلونك في الحق بعد ماتبين كانما يساقون الى الموت وهم ينظرون     yjadlwnk fy alHq b`d matbyn kanma ysaqwn ali almwt whm ynZrwn     They argue/dispute with you in the right/truth after what was clarified/shown, as if/though they are being driven (herded/pushed) to the death/lifelessness and they are looking/watching.     Disputing with thee concerning the truth after it was made manifest, as if they were being driven to death and they (actually) saw it.

7.  *     واذ يعدكم الله احدى الطائفتين انها لكم وتودون ان غير ذات الشوكة تكون لكم ويريد الله ان يحق الحق بكلماته ويقطع دابر الكافرين     waX y`dkm allh aHdi alTaYftyn anha lkm wtwdwn an Gyr Xat al$wk+ tkwn lkm wyryd allh an yHq alHq bklmath wyqT` dabr alkafryn     And if/when God promises you one/any (of) the two groups that it (E) (is) for you, and you wish/love that other than that what is the power and might/weapon's sharpness be for you, and God wants/wills that (He) makes correct the truth with His words/expressions and cuts off/severs the disbelievers' root/remainder.     Behold! Allah promised you one of the two (enemy) parties, that it should be yours: Ye wished that the one unarmed should be yours, but Allah willed to justify the Truth according to His words and to cut off the roots of the Unbelievers;-

8.  *     ليحق الحق ويبطل الباطل ولو كره المجرمون     lyHq alHq wybTl albaTl wlw krh almjrmwn     To make correct the truth and waste/annul/cancel the falsehood, and even if the criminals/sinners hated (it).     That He might justify Truth and prove Falsehood false, distasteful though it be to those in guilt.

9.  *     اذ تستغيثون ربكم فاستجاب لكم اني ممدكم بالف من الملائكة مردفين     aX tstGyxwn rbkm fastjab lkm any mmdkm balf mn almlaYk+ mrdfyn     If/when you seek/ask for help (from) your Lord, so He answered/replied to you: "That I (am) extending/spreading you with one thousand from the angels following/riding closely behind."     Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord, and He answered you: "I will assist you with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks."

10.  *     وماجعله الله الا بشرى ولتطمئن به قلوبكم وماالنصر الا من عند الله ان الله عزيز حكيم     wmaj`lh allh ala b$ri wltTmYn bh qlwbkm wmaalnSr ala mn `nd allh an allh `zyz Hkym     And God did not make him/it except a good news and to assure/tranquillise/secure with him/it your hearts/minds, and the victory/aid is not except from at God, that God (is) glorious/mighty,wise/judicious.     Allah made it but a message of hope, and an assurance to your hearts: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah. and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.

11.  *     اذ يغشيكم النعاس امنة منه وينزل عليكم من السماء ماء ليطهركم به ويذهب عنكم رجز الشيطان وليربط على قلوبكم ويثبت به الاقدام     aX yG$ykm aln`as amn+ mnh wynzl `lykm mn alsma' ma' lyThrkm bh wyXhb `nkm rjz al$yTan wlyrbT `li qlwbkm wyxbt bh alaqdam     If/when the slumber/dozing/lethargy covers/comes upon you safety/security from Him, and He descends water on you from the sky to purify/clean you with it and eliminate/wipe off the devil's filth, and to bond/encourage on your hearts/minds and affirm/strengthen with it the feet.     Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from Himself, and he caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of Satan, to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith.

12.  *     اذ يوحي ربك الى الملائكة اني معكم فثبتوا الذين امنوا سالقي في قلوب الذين كفروا الرعب فاضربوا فوق الاعناق واضربوا منهم كل بنان     aX ywHy rbk ali almlaYk+ any m`km fxbtwa alXyn amnwa salqy fy qlwb alXyn kfrwa alr`b faDrbwa fwq ala`naq waDrbwa mnhm kl bnan     When your Lord inspires/transmits to the angels, "That I (am) with you, so encourage/affirm those who believed, I will throw in those who disbelievers' hearts/minds the terror/fright, so strike/beat above the necks, and strike/beat from them every/each fingertip/finger.     Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."

13.  *     ذلك بانهم شاقوا الله ورسوله ومن يشاقق الله ورسوله فان الله شديد العقاب     Xlk banhm $aqwa allh wrswlh wmn y$aqq allh wrswlh fan allh $dyd al`qab     That (is) because they (E) defied/disobeyed God and His messenger, and who defies/disobeys God and His messenger, so then God (is) strong (severe in) the punishment.     This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger. If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment.

14.  *     ذلكم فذوقوه وان للكافرين عذاب النار     Xlkm fXwqwh wan llkafryn `Xab alnar     That is, so taste/experience it, and that to the disbelievers (is) the fire's torture.     Thus (will it be said): "Taste ye then of the (punishment): for those who resist Allah, is the penalty of the Fire."

15.  *     ياايها الذين امنوا اذا لقيتم الذين كفروا زحفا فلا تولوهم الادبار     yaayha alXyn amnwa aXa lqytm alXyn kfrwa zHfa fla twlwhm aladbar     You, you those who believed, if you met/found those who disbelieved marching slowly/creeping, so do not turn away your back/ends from them.     O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them.

16.  *     ومن يولهم يومئذ دبره الا متحرفا لقتال او متحيزا الى فئة فقد باء بغضب من الله وماواه جهنم وبئس المصير     wmn ywlhm ywmYX dbrh ala mtHrfa lqtal aw mtHyza ali fY+ fqd ba' bGDb mn allh wmawah jhnm wbYs almSyr     And who turns his back/end away (from) them that day except swerving/inclining to fighting/killing or leaning/enjoining to a group, so he had returned/settled with anger from God, and his shelter/refuge (is) Hell, and how bad (is) the end/destination?     If any do turn his back to them on such a day - unless it be in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own)- he draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed)!

17.  *     فلم تقتلوهم ولكن الله قتلهم ومارميت اذ رميت ولكن الله رمى وليبلي المؤمنين منه بلاء حسنا ان الله سميع عليم     flm tqtlwhm wlkn allh qtlhm wmarmyt aX rmyt wlkn allh rmi wlybly almWmnyn mnh bla' Hsna an allh smy` `lym     So you did not kill them, and but God killed them, and you did not throw when you threw, and but God threw, and (it is for) God to test the believers from Him a good test, that God (is) hearing/listening, knowledgeable.     It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah. when thou threwest (a handful of dust), it was not thy act, but Allah.s: in order that He might test the Believers by a gracious trial from Himself: for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things).

18.  *     ذلكم وان الله موهن كيد الكافرين     Xlkm wan allh mwhn kyd alkafryn     That is, and that God (is) weakening/enfeebling the disbelievers' plot/conspiracy.     That, and also because Allah is He Who makes feeble the plans and stratagem of the Unbelievers.

19.  *     ان تستفتحوا فقد جاءكم الفتح وان تنتهوا فهو خير لكم وان تعودوا نعد ولن تغني عنكم فئتكم شيئا ولو كثرت وان الله مع المؤمنين     an tstftHwa fqd ja'km alftH wan tnthwa fhw Kyr lkm wan t`wdwa n`d wln tGny `nkm fYtkm $yYa wlw kxrt wan allh m` almWmnyn     If you seek victory, so the opening/victory had come to you, and if you end/terminate/stop, so it is best for you, and if you return, We return, and your group will never enrich/satisfy at you a thing, and even if (it) became much/plenty, and that God (is) with the believers.     (O Unbelievers!) if ye prayed for victory and judgment, now hath the judgment come to you: if ye desist (from wrong), it will be best for you: if ye return (to the attack), so shall We. Not the least good will your forces be to you even if they were multiplied: for verily Allah is with those who believe!

20.  *     ياايها الذين امنوا اطيعوا الله ورسوله ولاتولوا عنه وانتم تسمعون     yaayha alXyn amnwa aTy`wa allh wrswlh wlatwlwa `nh wantm tsm`wn     You, you those who believed, obey God and His messenger and do not turn from Him and you are hearing/listening.     O ye who believe! He would indeed have made them listen: (As it is), if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (Faith).

24.  *     ياايها الذين امنوا استجيبوا لله وللرسول اذا دعاكم لما يحييكم واعلموا ان الله يحول بين المرء وقلبه وانه اليه تحشرون     yaayha alXyn amnwa astjybwa llh wllrswl aXa d`akm lma yHyykm wa`lmwa an allh yHwl byn almr' wqlbh wanh alyh tH$rwn     You, you those who believed, answer/reply to God and to the messenger, if He called you to what revives/makes you alive, and know that God comes between/intervenes between the human/man and his heart/mind and that He, to Him you are being gathered.     O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered.

25.  *     واتقوا فتنة لاتصيبن الذين ظلموا منكم خاصة واعلموا ان الله شديد العقاب     watqwa ftn+ latSybn alXyn Zlmwa mnkm KaS+ wa`lmwa an allh $dyd al`qab     And fear (and avoid a) test/torture (that) strikes/hits (E) especially/specifically those who caused injustice/oppression from you, and know that God (is) strong (severe in) the punishment.     And fear tumult or oppression, which affecteth not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong: and know that Allah is strict in punishment.

26.  *     واذكروا اذ انتم قليل مستضعفون في الارض تخافون ان يتخطفكم الناس فاواكم وايدكم بنصره ورزقكم من الطيبات لعلكم تشكرون     waXkrwa aX antm qlyl mstD`fwn fy alarD tKafwn an ytKTfkm alnas fawakm waydkm bnSrh wrzqkm mn alTybat l`lkm t$krwn     And remember when you were little/few weakened in the earth/Planet Earth, you fear that the people snatch (kidnap) you, so He sheltered you and He supported you with His victory/aid, and He provided for you, from the goodnesses, maybe/perhaps you thank/be grateful.     Call to mind when ye were a small (band), despised through the land, and afraid that men might despoil and kidnap you; But He provided a safe asylum for you, strengthened you with His aid, and gave you Good things for sustenance: that ye might be grateful.

27.  *     ياايها الذين امنوا لاتخونوا الله والرسول وتخونوا اماناتكم وانتم تعلمون     yaayha alXyn amnwa latKwnwa allh walrswl wtKwnwa amanatkm wantm t`lmwn     You, you those who believed do not betray/become unfaithful (to) God and the messenger, and you betray/become unfaithful (to) your deposits/securities and you know.     O ye that believe! betray not the trust of Allah and the Messenger, nor misappropriate knowingly things entrusted to you.
