1.    The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.     {A Psalm by David.} Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.     A Psalm. Of David.
The Lord takes care of me as his sheep; I will not be without any good thing.

2.    He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.     He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.     He makes a resting-place for me in the green fields: he is my guide by the quiet waters.

3.    He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.     He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.     He gives new life to my soul: he is my guide in the ways of righteousness because of his name.

4.    Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.     Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.     Yes, though I go through the valley of deep shade, I will have no fear of evil; for you are with me, your rod and your support are my comfort.

5.    Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.     You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.     You make ready a table for me in front of my haters: you put oil on my head; my cup is overflowing.

6.    Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.     Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh's house forever.     Truly, blessing and mercy will be with me all the days of my life; and I will have a place in the house of the Lord all my days.
