1.    Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.     {For the Chief Musician. To Jeduthan. A Psalm by David.} My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him.     To the chief music-maker. After Jeduthun. A Psalm. Of David.

2.    He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.     He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress-- I will never be greatly shaken.     My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my salvation.

3.    How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.     How long will you assault a man, would all of you throw him down, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?     He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved.

4.    They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.     They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.     How long will you go on designing evil against a man? running against him as against a broken wall, which is on the point of falling?

5.    My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.     My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him.     Their only thought is to put him down from his place of honour; their delight is in deceit: blessing is in their mouths but cursing in their hearts. (Selah.)

6.    He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.     He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.     My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my hope.

7.    In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.     With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.     He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved.

8.    Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.     Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.     In God is my salvation, and my glory; the Rock of my strength, and my safe place.

9.    Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.     Surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.     Have faith in him at all times, you people; let your hearts go flowing out before him: God is our safe place. (Selah.)

10.    Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.     Don't trust in oppression. Don't become vain in robbery. If riches increase, don't set your heart on them.     Truly men of low birth are nothing, and men of high position are not what they seem; if they are put in the scales together they are less than a breath.

11.    God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.     God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.     Have no faith in the rewards of evil-doing, or in profits wrongly made: if your wealth is increased, do not put your hopes on it.

12.    Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.     Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness, for you reward every man according to his work.     Once has God said, twice has it come to my ears, that power is God's:
