1.    Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.     {For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by the sons of Korah.} Yahweh, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob.     To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.

2.    Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.     You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. Selah.     Lord, you were good to your land: changing the fate of Jacob.

3.    Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.     You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger.     The wrongdoing of your people had forgiveness; all their sin had been covered. (Selah.)

4.    Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.     Turn us, God of our salvation, and cause your indignation toward us to cease.     You were no longer angry: you were turned from the heat of your wrath.

5.    Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?     Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?     Come back to us, O God of our salvation, and be angry with us no longer.

6.    Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?     Won't you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?     Will you go on being angry with us for ever? will you keep your wrath against us through all the long generations?

7.    Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.     Show us your loving kindness, Yahweh. Grant us your salvation.     Will you not give us life again, so that your people may be glad in you?

8.    I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.     I will hear what God, Yahweh, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly.     Let us see your mercy, O Lord, and give us your salvation.

9.    Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.     Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.     I will give ear to the voice of the Lord; for he will say words of peace to his people and to his saints; but let them not go back to their foolish ways.

10.    Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.     Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.     Truly, his salvation is near to his worshippers; so that glory may be in our land.

11.    Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.     Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven.     Mercy and faith have come together; righteousness and peace have given one another a kiss.

12.    Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.     Yes, Yahweh will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase.     Faith comes up from the earth like a plant; righteousness is looking down from heaven.

13.    Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.     Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.     The Lord will give what is good; and our land will give its increase.
