1.    παυλος αποστολος ουκ απ ανθρωπων ουδε δι ανθρωπου αλλα δια ιησου χριστου και θεου πατρος του εγειραντος αυτον εκ νεκρων     Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)     Paul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),     Paul, an Apostle (not from men, and not through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who made him come back from the dead),

2.    και οι συν εμοι παντες αδελφοι ταις εκκλησιαις της γαλατιας     And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:     and all the brothers{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia:     And all the brothers who are with me, to the churches of Galatia:

3.    χαρις υμιν και ειρηνη απο θεου πατρος  ημων και κυριου ιησου χριστου     Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,     Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,     Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,

4.    του δοντος εαυτον υπερ των αμαρτιων ημων οπως εξεληται ημας εκ του αιωνος του ενεστωτοσ πονηρου κατα το θελημα του θεου και πατρος ημων     Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:     who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father--     Who gave himself for our sins, so that he might make us free from this present evil world, after the purpose of our God and Father:

5.    ω η δοξα εις τους αιωνας των αιωνων αμην     To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.     to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.     To whom be the glory for ever and ever. So be it.

6.    θαυμαζω οτι ουτως ταχεως μετατιθεσθε απο του καλεσαντος υμας εν χαριτι [χριστου] εις ετερον ευαγγελιον     I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:     I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different "good news";     I am surprised that you are being so quickly turned away from him whose word came to you in the grace of Christ, to good news of a different sort;

7.    ο ουκ εστιν αλλο ει μη τινες εισιν οι ταρασσοντες υμας και θελοντες μεταστρεψαι το ευαγγελιον του χριστου     Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.     and there isn't another "good news." Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.     Which is not another sort: only there are some who give you trouble, desiring to make changes in the good news of Christ.

8.    αλλα και εαν ημεις η αγγελος εξ ουρανου ευαγγελιζηται [υμιν] παρ ο ευηγγελισαμεθα υμιν αναθεμα εστω     But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.     But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any "good news" other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.     But even if we, or an angel from heaven, were to be a preacher to you of good news other than that which we have given you, let there be a curse on him.

9.    ως προειρηκαμεν και αρτι παλιν λεγω ει τις υμας ευαγγελιζεται παρ ο παρελαβετε αναθεμα εστω     As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.     As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any "good news" other than that which you received, let him be cursed.     As we have said before, so say I now again, If any man is a preacher to you of any good news other than that which has been given to you, let there be a curse on him.

10.    αρτι γαρ ανθρωπους πειθω η τον θεον η ζητω ανθρωποις αρεσκειν ει ετι ανθρωποις ηρεσκον χριστου δουλος ουκ αν ημην     For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.     For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ.     Am I now using arguments to men, or God? or is it my desire to give men pleasure? if I was still pleasing men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

11.    γνωριζω γαρ υμιν αδελφοι το ευαγγελιον το ευαγγελισθεν υπ εμου οτι ουκ εστιν κατα ανθρωπον     But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.     But I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not according to man.     Because I say to you, my brothers, that the good news of which I was the preacher is not man's.

12.    ουδε γαρ εγω παρα ανθρωπου παρελαβον αυτο ουτε εδιδαχθην αλλα δι αποκαλυψεως ιησου χριστου     For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.     For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.     For I did not get it from man, and I was not given teaching in it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.

13.    ηκουσατε γαρ την εμην αναστροφην ποτε εν τω ιουδαισμω οτι καθ υπερβολην εδιωκον την εκκλησιαν του θεου και επορθουν αυτην     For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:     For you have heard of my way of living in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the assembly of God, and ravaged it.     For news has come to you of my way of life in the past in the Jews' religion, how I was cruel without measure to the church of God, and did great damage to it:

14.    και προεκοπτον εν τω ιουδαισμω υπερ πολλους συνηλικιωτας εν τω γενει μου περισσοτερως ζηλωτης υπαρχων των πατρικων μου παραδοσεων     And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.     I advanced in the Jews' religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.     And I went farther in the Jews' religion than a number of my generation among my countrymen, having a more burning interest in the beliefs handed down from my fathers.

15.    οτε δε ευδοκησεν [ο θεοσ] ο αφορισας με εκ κοιλιας μητρος μου και καλεσας δια της χαριτος αυτου     But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,     But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace,     But when it was the good pleasure of God, by whom I was marked out even from my mother's body, through his grace,

16.    αποκαλυψαι τον υιον αυτου εν εμοι ινα ευαγγελιζωμαι αυτον εν τοις εθνεσιν ευθεως ου προσανεθεμην σαρκι και αιματι     To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:     to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I didn't immediately confer with flesh and blood,     To give the revelation of his Son in me, so that I might give the news of him to the Gentiles; then I did not take the opinion of flesh and blood,

17.    ουδε ανηλθον εις ιεροσολυμα προς τους προ εμου αποστολους αλλα απηλθον εις αραβιαν και παλιν υπεστρεψα εις δαμασκον     Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.     nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia. Then I returned to Damascus.     And I went not up to Jerusalem to those who were Apostles before me; but I went away into Arabia, and again I came back to Damascus.

18.    επειτα μετα ετη τρια ανηλθον εις ιεροσολυμα ιστορησαι κηφαν και επεμεινα προς αυτον ημερας δεκαπεντε     Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.     Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.     Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Cephas, and was there with him fifteen days.

19.    ετερον δε των αποστολων ουκ ειδον ει μη ιακωβον τον αδελφον του κυριου     But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.     But of the other apostles I saw no one, except James, the Lord's brother.     But of the other Apostles I saw only James, the Lord's brother.

20.    α δε γραφω υμιν ιδου ενωπιον του θεου οτι ου ψευδομαι     Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.     Now about the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I'm not lying.     Now God is witness that the things which I am writing to you are true.

21.    επειτα ηλθον εις τα κλιματα της συριας και της κιλικιας     Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;     Then I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.     Then I came to the parts of Syria and Cilicia.

22.    ημην δε αγνοουμενος τω προσωπω ταις εκκλησιαις της ιουδαιας ταις εν χριστω     And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:     I was still unknown by face to the assemblies of Judea which were in Christ,     And the churches of Judaea which were in Christ still had no knowledge of my face or person:

23.    μονον δε ακουοντες ησαν οτι ο διωκων ημας ποτε νυν ευαγγελιζεται την πιστιν ην ποτε επορθει     But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.     but they only heard: "He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy."     Only it came to their ears that he who at one time was cruel to us is now preaching the faith which before had been attacked by him;

24.    και εδοξαζον εν εμοι τον θεον     And they glorified God in me.     And they glorified God in me.     And they gave glory to God in me.
