8.	ושחרים הוליד בשדה מואב מן־שלחו אתם חושים ואת־בערא נשיו׃	And Shaharaim begat children in the country of Moab, after he had sent them away; Hushim and Baara were his wives.	Shaharaim became the father of children in the field of Moab, after he had sent them away; Hushim and Baara were his wives.	And Shaharaim became the father of children in the country of the Moabites after driving out Hushim and Beerah his wives;

9.	ויולד מן־חדש אשתו את־יובב ואת־צביא ואת־מישא ואת־מלכם׃	And he begat of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcham,	He became the father of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam,	And by Hodesh his wife he became the father of Jobab and Zibia and Mesha and Malcam.

10.	ואת־יעוץ ואת־שכיה ואת־מרמה אלה בניו ראשי אבות׃	And Jeuz, and Shachia, and Mirma. These were his sons, heads of the fathers.	and Jeuz, and Shachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of fathers' [houses].	And Jeuz and Shachia and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of families.

11.	ומחשים הוליד את־אביטוב ואת־אלפעל׃	And of Hushim he begat Abitub, and Elpaal.	Of Hushim he became the father of Abitub and Elpaal.	And Hushim became the father of Abitub and Elpaal.

12.	ובני אלפעל עבר ומשעם ושמד הוא בנה את־אונו ואת־לד ובנתיה׃	The sons of Elpaal; Eber, and Misham, and Shamed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof:	The sons of Elpaal: Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod, with its towns;	And the sons of Elpaal: Eber and Misham and Shemed (he was the builder of Ono and Lod and their daughter-towns);

13.	וברעה ושמע המה ראשי האבות ליושבי אילון המה הבריחו את־יושבי גת׃	Beriah also, and Shema, who were heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove away the inhabitants of Gath:	and Beriah, and Shema, who were heads of fathers' [houses] of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who put to flight the inhabitants of Gath;	And Beriah and Shema, who were heads of the families of those who were living in Aijalon, who put to flight the people living in Gath;

28.	אלה ראשי אבות לתלדותם ראשים אלה ישבו בירושלם׃	These were heads of the fathers, by their generations, chief men. These dwelt in Jerusalem.	These were heads of fathers' [houses] throughout their generations, chief men: these lived in Jerusalem.	These were heads of families in their generations; chief men: these were living in Jerusalem.

29.	ובגבעון ישבו אבי גבעון ושם אשתו מעכה׃	And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon; whose wife's name was Maachah:	In Gibeon there lived the father of Gibeon, [Jeiel], whose wife's name was Maacah;	And in Gibeon was living the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife's name was Maacah;

30.	ובנו הבכור עבדון וצור וקיש ובעל ונדב׃	And his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,	and his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,	And his oldest son Abdon, and Zur and Kish and Baal and Ner and Nadab

31.	וגדור ואחיו וזכר׃	And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zacher.	and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.	And Gedor and Ahio and Zechariah and Mikloth.

32.	ומקלות הוליד את־שמאה ואף־המה נגד אחיהם ישבו בירושלם עם־ אחיהם׃	And Mikloth begat Shimeah. And these also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against them.	Mikloth became the father of Shimeah. They also lived with their brothers in Jerusalem, over against their brothers.	And Mikloth was the father of Shimeah. And they were living with their brothers in Jerusalem opposite their brothers.

33.	ונר הוליד את־קיש וקיש הוליד את־שאול ושאול הוליד את־יהונתן ואת־מלכי־שוע ואת־אבינדב ואת־אשבעל׃	And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.	Ner became the father of Kish; and Kish became the father of Saul; and Saul became the father of Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.	And Ner was the father of Abner, and Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan and Malchi-shua and Abinadab and Eshbaal.

34.	ובן־יהונתן מריב בעל ומריב בעל הוליד את־מיכה׃	And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; and Meribbaal begat Micah.	The son of Jonathan was Merib Baal; and Merib Baal became the father of Micah.	And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal was the father of Micah.

35.	ובני מיכה פיתון ומלך ותארע ואחז׃	And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.	The sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.	And the sons of Micah: Pithon and Melech and Tarea and Ahaz.

36.	ואחז הוליד את־יהועדה ויהועדה הוליד את־עלמת ואת־עזמות ואת־ זמרי וזמרי הוליד את־מוצא׃	And Ahaz begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,	Ahaz became the father of Jehoaddah; and Jehoaddah became the father of Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri became the father of Moza.	And Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah; and Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth and Azmaveth and Zimri; and Zimri was the father of Moza;

37.	ומוצא הוליד את־בנעא רפה בנו אלעשה בנו אצל בנו׃	And Moza begat Binea: Rapha was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son:	Moza became the father of Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.	And Moza was the father of Binea: Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son;

38.	ולאצל ששה בנים ואלה שמותם עזריקם בכרו וישמעאל ושעריה ועבדיה וחנן כל־אלה בני אצל׃	And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. 39.	ובני עשק אחיו אולם בכרו יעוש השני ואליפלט השלשי׃	And the sons of Eshek his brother were, Ulam his firstborn, Jehush the second, and Eliphelet the third. 40.	ויהיו בני־אולם אנשים גברי־חיל דרכי קשת ומרבים בנים ובני בנים מאה וחמשים כל־אלה מבני בנימן׃	And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons' sons, an hundred and fifty.
