1.    לשלמה  אלהים 
משפטיך  למלך  תן
וצדקתך  לבן־מלך׃
    Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.     {By Solomon.} God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.     Of Solomon.
Give the king your authority, O God, and your righteousness to the king's son.
 
2.    ידין  עמך  בצדק 
וענייך  במשפט׃
    He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.     He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.     May he be a judge of your people in righteousness, and make true decisions for the poor.
 
3.    ישאו  הרים  שלום 
לעם  וגבעות  בצדקה׃
    The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.     The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.     May the mountains give peace to the people, and the hills righteousness.
 
4.    ישפט  עניי־עם 
יושיע  לבני  אביון
וידכא  עושק׃
    He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.     He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.     May he be a judge of the poor among the people, may he give salvation to the children of those who are in need; by him let the violent be crushed.
 
5.    ייראוך  עם־שמש 
ולפני  ירח  דור
דורים׃
    They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.     They shall fear you while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.     May his life go on as long as the sun and moon, through all generations.
 
6.    ירד  כמטר  על־גז 
כרביבים  זרזיף
ארץ׃
    He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.     He will come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.     May he come down like rain on the cut grass; like showers watering the earth.
 
7.    יפרח־בימיו  צדיק 
ורב  שלום  עד־בלי
ירח׃
    In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.     In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.     In his days may the upright do well, living in peace as long as there is a moon in heaven.
 
8.    וירד  מים  עד־ים 
ומנהר
עד־אפסי־ארץ׃
    He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.     He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.     Let his kingdom be from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.
 
9.    לפניו  יכרעו  ציים 
ואיביו  עפר  ילחכו׃
    They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.     Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.     Let those who are against him go down before him; and let his haters be low in the dust.
 
10.    מלכי  תרשיש  ואיים 
מנחה  ישיבו  מלכי
שבא  וסבא  אשכר
יקריבו׃
    The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.     The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.     Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands come back with offerings; let the kings of Sheba and Seba give of their stores.
 
11.    וישתחוו־לו 
כל־מלכים  כל־גוים
יעבדוהו׃
    Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.     Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.     Yes, let all kings go down before him; let all nations be his servants.
 
12.    כי־יציל  אביון 
משוע  ועני
ואין־עזר  לו׃
    For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.     For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.     For he will be a saviour to the poor in answer to his cry; and to him who is in need, without a helper.
 
13.    יחס  על־דל  ואביון 
ונפשות  אביונים
יושיע׃
    He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.     He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.     He will have pity on the poor, and be the saviour of those who are in need.
 
14.    מתוך  ומחמס  יגאל 
נפשם  וייקר  דמם
בעיניו׃
    He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.     He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.     He will keep their souls free from evil designs and violent attacks; and their blood will be of value in his eyes.
 
15.    ויחי  ויתן־לו  מזהב 
שבא  ויתפלל  בעדו
תמיד  כל־היום
יברכנהו׃
    And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.     They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all day long.     May he have long life, and may gold from Sheba be given to him: may prayers be made for him at all times; may blessings be on him every day.
 
16.    יהי  פסת־בר  בארץ 
בראש  הרים  ירעש
כלבנון  פריו
ויציצו  מעיר  כעשב
הארץ׃
    There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.     There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.     May there be wide-stretching fields of grain in the land, shaking on the top of the mountains, full of fruit like Lebanon: may its stems be unnumbered like the grass of the earth.
 
17.    יהי  שמו  לעולם 
לפני־שמש  ינין  שמו
ויתברכו  בו
כל־גוים  יאשרוהו׃
    His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.     His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.     May his name go on for ever, as long as the sun: may men be blessing themselves by him; may all nations be blessing his name.
 
18.    ברוך  יהוה  אלהים 
אלהי  ישראל  עשה
נפלאות  לבדו׃
    Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.     Praise be to Yahweh God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.     Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, the only doer of wonders.
 
19.    וברוך  שם  כבודו 
לעולם  וימלא  כבודו
את־כל  הארץ  אמן
ואמן׃
    And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.     Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and amen.     Praise to the glory of his noble name for ever; let all the earth be full of his glory. So be it, So be it.
