ושמרו את־משמרתו ואת־משמרת כל־העדה לפני אהל מועד לעבד את־עבדת המשכן׃ |
And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. | They shall keep his requirements, and the requirements of the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle. | In order that they may be responsible to him and to all Israel for the care of the Tent of meeting, and to do the work of the House; | |||

ושמרו את־כל־כלי אהל מועד ואת־משמרת בני ישראל לעבד את־עבדת המשכן׃ |
And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle. | They shall keep all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, and the obligations of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle. | And they will have the care of all the vessels of the Tent of meeting, and will do for the children of Israel all the necessary work of the House. | |||

ונתתה את־הלוים לאהרן ולבניו נתונם נתונם המה לו מאת בני ישראל׃ |
And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel. | You shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons. ואת־אהרן ואת־בניו תפקד ושמרו את־כהנתם והזר הקרב יומת׃ |
And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. | You shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood. And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine; | "Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn who open the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine: | See, I have taken the Levites out of the children of Israel to be mine in place of the first sons of the children of Israel; | |||

כי לי כל־בכור ביום הכתי כל־בכור בארץ מצרים הקדשתי לי כל־בכור בישראל מאדם עד־בהמה לי יהיו אני יהוה׃ |
Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD. | for all the firstborn are mine. On the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I made holy to me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal. They shall be mine. ויפקד אתם משה על־פי יהוה כאשר צוה׃ |

וקלעי החצר ואת־מסך פתח החצר אשר על־המשכן ועל־המזבח סביב ואת מיתריו לכל עבדתו׃ |
And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof. | and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and around the altar, and its cords for all of its service. | And the hangings for the open space round the House and the altar, and the curtain for its doorway, and all the cords needed for its use. | |||

ולקהת משפחת העמרמי ומשפחת היצהרי ומשפחת החברני ומשפחת העזיאלי אלה הם משפחת הקהתי׃ |

ונשיא בית־אב למשפחת הקהתי אליצפן בן־עזיאל׃ |

ומשמרתם הארן והשלחן והמנרה והמזבחת וכלי הקדש אשר ישרתו בהם והמסך וכל עבדתו׃ |
And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the hanging, and all the service thereof. | Their duty shall be the ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the screen, and all its service. | In their care are the ark, and the table, and the lights, and the altars, and all the vessels used in the holy place, and the veil, and all they are used for. | |||

ונשיא נשיאי הלוי אלעזר בן־אהרן הכהן פקדת שמרי משמרת הקדש׃ |
And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary. | Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be prince of the princes of the Levites, with the oversight of those who keep the requirements of the sanctuary. | Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, will be head over all the Levites and overseer of those responsible for the care of the holy place. | |||

And the chief of the house of the father of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward. | The prince of the fathers' house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They shall encamp on the north side of the tabernacle. | The chief of the families of Merari was Zuriel, the son of Abihail: their tents are to be placed on the north side of the House. | |||

ופקדת משמרת בני מררי קרשי המשכן ובריחיו ועמדיו ואדניו וכל־ כליו וכל עבדתו׃ |
And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the vessels thereof, and all that serveth thereto, | The appointed duty of the sons of Merari shall be the tabernacle's boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, all its instruments, all its service, | And in their care are to be all the boards of the Tent, with their rods and pillars and bases, and all the instruments, and all they are used for, | |||

ועמדי החצר סביב ואדניהם ויתדתם ומיתריהם׃ |

והחנים לפני המשכן קדמה לפני אהל־מועד מזרחה משה ואהרן ובניו שמרים משמרת המקדש למשמרת בני ישראל והזר הקרב יומת׃ |
But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. | Those who encamp before the tabernacle eastward, in front of the Tent of Meeting toward the sunrise, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary for the duty of the children of Israel. ואת פדויי השלשה והשבעים והמאתים העדפים על־הלוים מבכור בני ישראל׃ |
And for those that are to be redeemed of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are more than the Levites; | For the redemption of the two hundred seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, who exceed the number of the Levites, | And the price you have to give for the two hundred and seventy-three first sons of the children of Israel which are in addition to the number of the Levites, | |||

ולקחת חמשת חמשת שקלים לגלגלת בשקל הקדש תקח עשרים גרה השקל׃ |
Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:) | you shall take five shekels apiece for each one; after the shekel of the sanctuary you shall take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs): | Will be five shekels for every one, by the scale of the holy place (the shekel is twenty gerahs); | |||

ונתתה הכסף לאהרן ולבניו פדויי העדפים בהם׃ |
And thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is to be redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons. | and you shall give the money, with which the remainder of them is redeemed, to Aaron and to his sons." | And this money, the price of those over the number of the Levites, is to be given to Aaron and his sons. | |||

ויקח משה את כסף הפדיום מאת העדפים על פדויי הלוים׃ |
And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites: | Moses took the redemption money from those who exceeded the number of those who were redeemed by the Levites; | So Moses took the money, the price of those whose place had not been taken by the Levites; | |||

מאת בכור בני ישראל לקח את־הכסף חמשה וששים ושלש מאות ואלף בשקל הקדש׃ |
Of the firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: | from the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred sixty-five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: | From the first sons of Israel he took it, a thousand, three hundred and sixty-five shekels, by the scale of the holy place; | |||

ויתן משה את־כסף הפדים לאהרן ולבניו על־פי יהוה כאשר צוה יהוה את־משה׃ |
And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses. | and Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses. | And he gave the money to Aaron and his sons, as the Lord had said. | |||
