1.    {A Song of Ascents.} Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.     A Song of the going up.
Out of the deep have I sent up my cry to you, O Lord.
Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.

2.    Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.     Lord, let my voice come before you: let your ears be awake to the voice of my prayer.     Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3.    If you, Yah, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?     O Jah, if you took note of every sin, who would go free?     If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

4.    But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.     But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be feared.     But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5.    I wait for Yahweh. My soul waits. I hope in his word.     I am waiting for the Lord, my soul is waiting for him, and my hope is in his word.     I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6.    My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.     My soul is watching for the Lord more than those who are watching for the morning; yes, more than the watchers for the morning.     My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

7.    Israel, hope in Yahweh, for with Yahweh there is loving kindness. With him is abundant redemption.     O Israel, have hope in the Lord; for with the Lord is mercy and full salvation.     Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

8.    He will redeem Israel from all their sins.     And he will make Israel free from all his sins.     And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
