1.    {For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.} May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high,     To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.     The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

2.    send you help from the sanctuary, grant you support from Zion,     May the Lord give ear to you in the day of trouble; may you be placed on high by the name of the God of Jacob;     Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

3.    remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah.     May he send you help from the holy place, and give you strength from Zion;     Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

4.    May He grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your counsel.     May he keep all your offerings in mind, and be pleased with the fat of your burned offerings; (Selah.)     Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

5.    We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May Yahweh grant all your requests.     May he give you your heart's desire, and put all your purposes into effect.     We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

6.    Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.     We will be glad in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will put up our flags: may the Lord give you all your requests.     Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7.    Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust the name of Yahweh our God.     Now am I certain that the Lord gives salvation to his king; he will give him an answer from his holy heaven with the strength of salvation in his right hand.     Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

8.    They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright.     Some put their faith in carriages and some in horses; but we will be strong in the name of the Lord our God.     They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

9.    Save, Yahweh! Let the King answer us when we call!     They are bent down and made low; but we have been lifted up.     Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.
