1.    Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.     Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;     γινεσθε ουν μιμηται του θεου ως τεκνα αγαπητα     Become, then, followers of God, as children beloved,     estote ergo imitatores Dei sicut filii carissimi
 
2.    Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.     And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.     και περιπατειτε εν αγαπη καθως και ο χριστος ηγαπησεν ημας και παρεδωκεν εαυτον υπερ ημων προσφοραν και θυσιαν τω θεω εις οσμην ευωδιας     and walk in love, as also the Christ did love us, and did give himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odour of a sweet smell,     et ambulate in dilectione sicut et Christus dilexit nos et tradidit se ipsum pro nobis oblationem et hostiam Deo in odorem suavitatis
 
3.    But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;     But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;     πορνεια δε και ακαθαρσια πασα η πλεονεξια μηδε ονομαζεσθω εν υμιν καθως πρεπει αγιοις     and whoredom, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;     fornicatio autem et omnis inmunditia aut avaritia nec nominetur in vobis sicut decet sanctos
 
4.    nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.     Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.     και αισχροτης και μωρολογια η ευτραπελια α ουκ ανηκεν αλλα μαλλον ευχαριστια     also filthiness, and foolish talking, or jesting, -- the things not fit -- but rather thanksgiving;     aut turpitudo aut stultiloquium aut scurrilitas quae ad rem non pertinent sed magis gratiarum actio
 
5.    Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.     For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.     τουτο γαρ ιστε γινωσκοντες οτι πας πορνος η ακαθαρτος η πλεονεκτης ο εστιν ειδωλολατρης ουκ εχει κληρονομιαν εν τη βασιλεια του χριστου και θεου     for this ye know, that every whoremonger, or unclean, or covetous person, who is an idolater, hath no inheritance in the reign of the Christ and God.     hoc enim scitote intellegentes quod omnis fornicator aut inmundus aut avarus quod est idolorum servitus non habet hereditatem in regno Christi et Dei
 
6.    Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.     Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.     μηδεις υμας απατατω κενοις λογοις δια ταυτα γαρ ερχεται η οργη του θεου επι τους υιους της απειθειας     Let no one deceive you with vain words, for because of these things cometh the anger of God upon the sons of the disobedience,     nemo vos seducat inanibus verbis propter haec enim venit ira Dei in filios diffidentiae
 
7.    Therefore don't be partakers with them.     Be not ye therefore partakers with them.     μη ουν γινεσθε συμμετοχοι αυτων     become not, then, partakers with them,     nolite ergo effici participes eorum
 
8.    For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,     For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:     ητε γαρ ποτε σκοτος νυν δε φως εν κυριω ως τεκνα φωτος περιπατειτε     for ye were once darkness, and now light in the Lord; as children of light walk ye,     eratis enim aliquando tenebrae nunc autem lux in Domino ut filii lucis ambulate
 
9.    for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,     (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)     ο γαρ καρπος του φωτοσ εν παση αγαθωσυνη και δικαιοσυνη και αληθεια     for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth,     fructus enim lucis est in omni bonitate et iustitia et veritate
 
10.    proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.     Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.     δοκιμαζοντες τι εστιν ευαρεστον τω κυριω     proving what is well-pleasing to the Lord,     probantes quid sit beneplacitum Deo
 
11.    Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.     And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.     και μη συγκοινωνειτε τοις εργοις τοις ακαρποις του σκοτους μαλλον δε και ελεγχετε     and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of the darkness and rather even convict,     et nolite communicare operibus infructuosis tenebrarum magis autem et redarguite
 
12.    For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.     For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.     τα γαρ κρυφη γινομενα υπ αυτων αισχρον εστιν και λεγειν     for the things in secret done by them it is a shame even to speak of,     quae enim in occulto fiunt ab ipsis turpe est et dicere
 
13.    But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.     But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.     τα δε παντα ελεγχομενα υπο του φωτος φανερουται παν γαρ το φανερουμενον φως εστιν     and all the things reproved by the light are manifested, for everything that is manifested is light;     omnia autem quae arguuntur a lumine manifestantur omne enim quod manifestatur lumen est
 
14.    Therefore he says, "Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."     Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.     διο λεγει εγειρε ο καθευδων και αναστα εκ των νεκρων και επιφαυσει σοι ο χριστος     wherefore he saith, `Arouse thyself, thou who art sleeping, and arise out of the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.`     propter quod dicit surge qui dormis et exsurge a mortuis et inluminabit tibi Christus
 
15.    Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;     See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,     βλεπετε ουν ακριβως πωσ περιπατειτε μη ως ασοφοι αλλ ως σοφοι     See, then, how exactly ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise,     videte itaque fratres quomodo caute ambuletis non quasi insipientes sed ut sapientes
 
16.    redeeming the time, because the days are evil.     Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.     εξαγοραζομενοι τον καιρον οτι αι ημεραι πονηραι εισιν     redeeming the time, because the days are evil;     redimentes tempus quoniam dies mali sunt
 
17.    Therefore don't be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.     Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.     δια τουτο μη γινεσθε αφρονες αλλα συνιετε τι το θελημα του κυριου     because of this become not fools, but -- understanding what is the will of the Lord,     propterea nolite fieri inprudentes sed intellegentes quae sit voluntas Domini
 
18.    Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,     And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;     και μη μεθυσκεσθε οινω εν ω εστιν ασωτια αλλα πληρουσθε εν πνευματι     and be not drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be filled in the Spirit,     et nolite inebriari vino in quo est luxuria sed implemini Spiritu
 
19.    speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord;     Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;     λαλουντες εαυτοις [εν] ψαλμοις και υμνοις και ωδαις πνευματικαις αδοντες και ψαλλοντες τη καρδια υμων τω κυριω     speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,     loquentes vobismet ipsis in psalmis et hymnis et canticis spiritalibus cantantes et psallentes in cordibus vestris Domino
 
20.    giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;     Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;     ευχαριστουντες παντοτε υπερ παντων εν ονοματι του κυριου ημων ιησου χριστου τω θεω και πατρι     giving thanks always for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the God and Father;     gratias agentes semper pro omnibus in nomine Domini nostri Iesu Christi Deo et Patri
 
21.    subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.     Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.     υποτασσομενοι αλληλοις εν φοβω χριστου     subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of God.     subiecti invicem in timore Christi
 
22.    Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.     Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.     αι γυναικες τοις ιδιοις ανδρασιν ως τω κυριω     The wives! to your own husbands subject yourselves, as to the Lord,     mulieres viris suis subditae sint sicut Domino
 
23.    For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.     For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.     οτι ανηρ εστιν κεφαλη της γυναικος ως και ο χριστος κεφαλη της εκκλησιας αυτος σωτηρ του σωματος     because the husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ is head of the assembly, and he is saviour of the body,     quoniam vir caput est mulieris sicut Christus caput est ecclesiae ipse salvator corporis
 
24.    But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.     Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.     αλλα ωσ η εκκλησια υποτασσεται τω χριστω ουτως και αι γυναικες τοις ανδρασιν εν παντι     but even as the assembly is subject to Christ, so also are the wives to their own husbands in everything.     sed ut ecclesia subiecta est Christo ita et mulieres viris suis in omnibus
 
25.    Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;     Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;     οι ανδρες αγαπατε τας γυναικας καθως και ο χριστος ηγαπησεν την εκκλησιαν και εαυτον παρεδωκεν υπερ αυτης     The husbands! love your own wives, as also the Christ did love the assembly, and did give himself for it,     viri diligite uxores sicut et Christus dilexit ecclesiam et se ipsum tradidit pro ea
 
26.    that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,     That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,     ινα αυτην αγιαση καθαρισας τω λουτρω του υδατος εν ρηματι     that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it with the bathing of the water in the saying,     ut illam sanctificaret mundans lavacro aquae in verbo
 
27.    that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.     That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.     ινα παραστηση αυτοσ εαυτω ενδοξον την εκκλησιαν μη εχουσαν σπιλον η ρυτιδα η τι των τοιουτων αλλ ινα η αγια και αμωμος     that he might present it to himself the assembly in glory, not having spot or wrinkle, or any of such things, but that it may be holy and unblemished;     ut exhiberet ipse sibi gloriosam ecclesiam non habentem maculam aut rugam aut aliquid eiusmodi sed ut sit sancta et inmaculata
 
28.    Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.     So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.     ουτως οφειλουσιν [και] οι ανδρες αγαπαν τας εαυτων γυναικας ως τα εαυτων σωματα ο αγαπων την εαυτου γυναικα εαυτον αγαπα     so ought the husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies: he who is loving his own wife -- himself he doth love;     ita et viri debent diligere uxores suas ut corpora sua qui suam uxorem diligit se ipsum diligit
 
29.    For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly;     For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:     ουδεις γαρ ποτε την εαυτου σαρκα εμισησεν αλλα εκτρεφει και θαλπει αυτην καθως και ο χριστοσ την εκκλησιαν     for no one ever his own flesh did hate, but doth nourish and cherish it, as also the Lord -- the assembly,     nemo enim umquam carnem suam odio habuit sed nutrit et fovet eam sicut et Christus ecclesiam
 
30.    because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.     For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.     οτι μελη εσμεν του σωματος αυτου         because members we are of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones;     quia membra sumus corporis eius de carne eius et de ossibus eius
 
31.    "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh."{Genesis 2:24}     For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.     αντι τουτου καταλειψει ανθρωπος [τον] πατερα και [την] μητερα και προσκολληθησεται προς την γυναικα αυτου και εσονται οι δυο εις σαρκα μιαν     `for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they shall be -- the two -- for one flesh;`     propter hoc relinquet homo patrem et matrem suam et adherebit uxori suae et erunt duo in carne una
 
32.    This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.     This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.     το μυστηριον τουτο μεγα εστιν εγω δε λεγω εις χριστον και εις την εκκλησιαν     this secret is great, and I speak in regard to Christ and to the assembly;     sacramentum hoc magnum est ego autem dico in Christo et in ecclesia
 
33.    Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.     Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.     πλην και υμεις οι καθ ενα εκαστος την εαυτου γυναικα ουτως αγαπατω ως εαυτον η δε γυνη ινα φοβηται τον ανδρα     but ye also, every one in particular -- let each his own wife so love as himself, and the wife -- that she may reverence the husband.     verumtamen et vos singuli unusquisque suam uxorem sicut se ipsum diligat uxor autem ut timeat virum
