1.  *     سورة هود بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  الر كتاب احكمت اياته ثم فصلت من لدن حكيم خبير     swr+ hwd bsm allh alrHmn alrHym  alr ktab aHkmt ayath xm fSlt mn ldn Hkym Kbyr     A L R, a Book its verses/evidences were perfected/tightened, then were detailed/explained/clarified from at/by (a) wise/judicious, expert/experienced.     A.L.R. This is a scripture whose verses have been perfected, then elucidated. It comes from a Most Wise, Most Cognizant.     A. L. R. (This is) a Book, with verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning), further explained in detail,- from One Who is Wise and Well-acquainted (with all things):
 
2.  *     الا تعبدوا الا الله انني لكم منه نذير وبشير     ala t`bdwa ala allh anny lkm mnh nXyr wb$yr     That you not worship except God, that I am (E) to you from Him (a) warner/giver of notice, announcer of good news.     Proclaiming: "You shall not worship except GOD. I come to you from Him as a warner, as well as a bearer of good news.     (It teacheth) that ye should worship none but Allah. (Say): "Verily I am (sent) unto you from Him to warn and to bring glad tidings:
 
3.  *     وان استغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا اليه يمتعكم متاعا حسنا الى اجل مسمى ويؤت كل ذي فضل فضله وان تولوا فاني اخاف عليكم عذاب يوم كبير     wan astGfrwa rbkm xm twbwa alyh ymt`km mta`a Hsna ali ajl msmi wyWt kl Xy fDl fDlh wan twlwa fany aKaf `lykm `Xab ywm kbyr     And that ask for forgiveness (from) your Lord then repent to Him, He gives you long life/makes you enjoy good/beautiful long life/enjoyment to a named/identified (specified) term/time, and He gives/brings each (owner) of grace/favour/blessing His grace/favour/blessing, and if they turned away, so that I, I fear on you a big/great day's torture.     "You shall seek your Lord's forgiveness, then repent to Him. He will then bless you generously for a predetermined period, and bestow His grace upon those who deserve it. If you turn away, then I fear for you the retribution of an awesome day."     "(And to preach thus), 'Seek ye the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance; that He may grant you enjoyment, good (and true), for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding grace on all who abound in merit! But if ye turn away, then I fear for you the penalty of a great day:
 
4.  *     الى الله مرجعكم وهو على كل شئ قدير     ali allh mrj`km whw `li kl $Y qdyr     To God (is) your return, and He is on every thing capable/able.     To GOD is your ultimate return, and He is Omnipotent.     'To Allah is your return, and He hath power over all things.'"
 
5.  *     الا انهم يثنون صدورهم ليستخفوا منه الا حين يستغشون ثيابهم يعلم مايسرون ومايعلنون انه عليم بذات الصدور     ala anhm yxnwn Sdwrhm lystKfwa mnh ala Hyn ystG$wn xyabhm y`lm maysrwn wmay`lnwn anh `lym bXat alSdwr     Is it not that they truly fold/bend/double/twist (hide) their chests (innermosts) to hide from Him? Is it not that when they cover/darken themselves (with) their clothes/garments/dresses, He knows what they keep secret and what they declare/publicize/announce? That He is knowledgeable of the chests (innermosts).     Indeed, they hide their innermost thoughts, as if to keep Him from knowing them. In fact, as they cover themselves with their clothes, He knows all their secrets and declarations. He knows the innermost thoughts.     Behold! they fold up their hearts, that they may lie hid from Him! Ah even when they cover themselves with their garments, He knoweth what they conceal, and what they reveal: for He knoweth well the (inmost secrets) of the hearts.
 
6.  *     ومامن دابة في الارض الا على الله رزقها ويعلم مستقرها ومستودعها كل في كتاب مبين     wmamn dab+ fy alarD ala `li allh rzqha wy`lm mstqrha wmstwd`ha kl fy ktab mbyn     And (there is) none from a walker/creeper/crawler in the earth/Planet Earth except (that) on God (is) its provision, and He knows its settlement/establishment/affixation, and its depository/storage place, all (is) in (a) clear/explained Book.     There is not a creature on earth whose provision is not guaranteed by GOD. And He knows its course and its final destiny. All are recorded in a profound record.     There is no moving creature on earth but its sustenance dependeth on Allah. He knoweth the time and place of its definite abode and its temporary deposit: All is in a clear Record.
 
7.  *     وهو الذي خلق السماوات والارض في ستة ايام وكان عرشه على الماء ليبلوكم ايكم احسن عملا ولئن قلت انكم مبعوثون من بعد الموت ليقولن الذين كفروا ان هذا الا سحر مبين     whw alXy Klq alsmawat walarD fy st+ ayam wkan `r$h `li alma' lyblwkm aykm aHsn `mla wlYn qlt ankm mb`wxwn mn b`d almwt lyqwln alXyn kfrwa an hXa ala sHr mbyn     And He is who created the skies/space and the earth, in six days/times, and His throne was/is on the water, to test you which of you (is) best/better (in) deed(s), and if (E) you said: "That you are being resurrected/revived from after the death/lifelessness." Those who disbelieved will say (E): "That, this (is) except clear/evident magic/sorcery."     He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His (earthly) domain was completely covered with water - in order to test you, to distinguish those among you who work righteousness. Yet, when you say, "You will be resurrected after death," those who disbelieve would say, "This is clearly witchcraft."     He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was over the waters - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. But if thou wert to say to them, "Ye shall indeed be raised up after death", the Unbelievers would be sure to say, "This is nothing but obvious sorcery!"
 
8.  *     ولئن اخرنا عنهم العذاب الى امة معدودة ليقولن مايحبسه الا يوم ياتيهم ليس مصروفا عنهم وحاق بهم ما كانوا يستهزؤون     wlYn aKrna `nhm al`Xab ali am+ m`dwd+ lyqwln mayHbsh ala ywm yatyhm lys mSrwfa `nhm wHaq bhm ma kanwa ysthzWwn     And if We delayed the punishment from them to a counted/numbered generation they will say (E) what prevents/withholds it ? Is it not (on that) day (when it) comes to them (it is) not diverted/sent away from them? And surrounded/encircled with them what they were with it mocking/making fun of.     And if we delay the retribution they have incurred - for we reserve it for a specific community - they say, "What is keeping Him?" In fact, once it comes to them, nothing can stop it, and their mocking will come back to haunt them.     If We delay the penalty for them for a definite term, they are sure to say, "What keeps it back?" Ah! On the day it (actually) reaches them, nothing will turn it away from them, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!
 
9.  *     ولئن اذقنا الانسان منا رحمة ثم نزعناها منه انه ليؤس كفور     wlYn aXqna alansan mna rHm+ xm nz`naha mnh anh lyWs kfwr     And if (E) We made the human/mankind taste/experience from Us mercy, then We removed it from him, that he truly is (a) despairing/hopeless (E) (insistent) disbeliever/(insisting) disbelief.     Whenever we bless the human being with mercy from us, then remove it, he turns despondent, unappreciative.     If We give man a taste of Mercy from Ourselves, and then withdraw it from him, behold! he is in despair and (falls into) blasphemy.
 
10.  *     ولئن اذقناه نعماء بعد ضراء مسته ليقولن ذهب السيئات عني انه لفرح فخور     wlYn aXqnah n`ma' b`d Dra' msth lyqwln Xhb alsyYat `ny anh lfrH fKwr     And if (E) We made him taste/experience blessing/goodness after calamity/disastrous distress touched him, he will say (E): "The sins/crimes went away (were) eliminated/(were) wiped out from me." That he is happy/rejoiced/delighted proud/arrogant.     Whenever we bless him, after adversity had afflicted him, he says, "All adversity has gone away from me;" he becomes excited, proud.     But if We give him a taste of (Our) favours after adversity hath touched him, he is sure to say, "All evil has departed from me:" Behold! he falls into exultation and pride.
 
11.  *     الا الذين صبروا وعملوا الصالحات اولئك لهم مغفرة واجر كبير     ala alXyn Sbrwa w`mlwa alSalHat awlYk lhm mGfr+ wajr kbyr     Except those who were patient, and made/did the correct/righteous deeds, those for them (is) a forgiveness and (a) big/great wage/reward.     As for those who steadfastly persevere, and lead a righteous life, they deserve forgiveness and a generous recompense.     Not so do those who show patience and constancy, and work righteousness; for them is forgiveness (of sins) and a great reward.
 
12.  *     فلعلك تارك بعض مايوحى اليك وضائق به صدرك ان يقولوا لولا انزل عليه كنز او جاء معه ملك انما انت نذير والله على كل شئ وكيل     fl`lk tark b`D maywHi alyk wDaYq bh Sdrk an yqwlwa lwla anzl `lyh knz aw ja' m`h mlk anma ant nXyr wallh `li kl $Y wkyl     So maybe/perhaps you are leaving some/part (of) what is inspired/transmitted to you, and narrowing/tightening with it your chest (innermost), that they say: "If only a treasure was descended on him, or (an) angel came with him." But you are (a) warner/giver of notice, and God (is) on every thing (a) guardian/protector.     You may wish to disregard some of that which is revealed to you, and you may be annoyed by it. Also, they may say, "How come no treasure comes down to him, or an angel?" You are only a warner; GOD controls all things.     Perchance thou mayest (feel the inclination) to give up a part of what is revealed unto thee, and thy heart feeleth straitened lest they say, "Why is not a treasure sent down unto him, or why does not an angel come down with him?" But thou art there only to warn! It is Allah that arrangeth all affairs!
 
13.  *     ام يقولون افتراه قل فاتوا بعشر سور مثله مفتريات وادعوا من استطعتم من دون الله ان كنتم صادقين     am yqwlwn aftrah ql fatwa b`$r swr mxlh mftryat wad`wa mn astT`tm mn dwn allh an kntm Sadqyn     Or they say: "He fabricated/cut and split it." Say: "So come or bring with ten chapters of the Koran similar/equal/alike to it fabricated, and call whom you were able from other than God if you were truthful."     If they say, "He fabricated (the Quran)," tell them, "Then produce ten suras like these, fabricated, and invite whomever you can, other than GOD, if you are truthful."     Or they may say, "He forged it," Say, "Bring ye then ten suras forged, like unto it, and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than Allah.- If ye speak the truth!
 
14.  *     فالم يستجيبوا لكم فاعلموا انما انزل بعلم الله وان لااله الا هو فهل انتم مسلمون     falm ystjybwa lkm fa`lmwa anma anzl b`lm allh wan laalh ala hw fhl antm mslmwn     So if they do not answer/reply to you, so know that (the Koran) was/is descended with God's knowledge, that (there is) no God except Him, so are you submitters/surrenderers/Moslems?"     If they fail to meet your challenge, then know that this is revealed with GOD's knowledge, and that there is no god except He. Will you then submit?     "If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but He! will ye even then submit (to Islam)?"
 
15.  *     من كان يريد الحياة الدنيا وزينتها نوف اليهم اعمالهم فيها وهم فيها لايبخسون     mn kan yryd alHya+ aldnya wzyntha nwf alyhm a`malhm fyha whm fyha laybKswn     Who was/is wanting the life the present/worldly life and its decoration/beauty/ornament, We fulfill/complete to them their deeds in it, and they in it are not being reduced/cheated/caused injustice to.     Those who pursue this worldly life and its material vanities, we will pay them for their works in this life, without the least reduction.     Those who desire the life of the present and its glitter,- to them we shall pay (the price of) their deeds therein,- without diminution.
 
16.  *     اولئك الذين ليس لهم في الاخرة الا النار وحبط ماصنعوا فيها وباطل ما كانوا يعملون     awlYk alXyn lys lhm fy alaKr+ ala alnar wHbT maSn`wa fyha wbaTl ma kanwa y`mlwn     Those are those not (nothing is) for them in the end (other life) except the fire, and what they made/did (was) wasted/invalidated in it, and is being wasted/annulled/canceled what they were making/doing.     It is they who gave up their share in the Hereafter, and, consequently, Hell is their lot. All their works are in vain; everything they have done is nullified.     They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire: vain are the designs they frame therein, and of no effect and the deeds that they do!
 
17.  *     افمن كان على بينة من ربه ويتلوه شاهد منه ومن قبله كتاب موسى اماما ورحمة اولئك يؤمنون به ومن يكفر به من الاحزاب فالنار موعده فلاتك في مرية منه انه الحق من ربك ولكن اكثر الناس لايؤمنون     afmn kan `li byn+ mn rbh wytlwh $ahd mnh wmn qblh ktab mwsi amama wrHm+ awlYk yWmnwn bh wmn ykfr bh mn alaHzab falnar mw`dh flatk fy mry+ mnh anh alHq mn rbk wlkn akxr alnas layWmnwn     Is who was on an evidence from his Lord, and he reads/recites/follows it a witness/testifier from Him, and from before him/it Moses' Book a leader/clear road/an example and a mercy? Those believe with it, and who disbelieves from the groups/parties with Him/it, so the fire (is) his appointment/promise, so do not be in doubt from it, that it is the truth from your Lord, and but most of the people do not believe.     As for those who are given solid proof from their Lord, reported by a witness from Him, and before it, the book of Moses has set a precedent and a mercy, they will surely believe. As for those who disbelieve among the various groups, Hell is awaiting them. Do not harbor any doubt; this is the truth from your Lord, but most people disbelieve.     Can they be (like) those who accept a Clear (Sign) from their Lord, and whom a witness from Himself doth teach, as did the Book of Moses before it,- a guide and a mercy? They believe therein; but those of the Sects that reject it,- the Fire will be their promised meeting-place. Be not then in doubt thereon: for it is the truth from thy Lord: yet many among men do not believe!
 
18.  *     ومن اظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا اولئك يعرضون على ربهم ويقول الاشهاد هؤلاء الذين كذبوا على ربهم الا لعنة الله على الظالمين     wmn aZlm mmn aftri `li allh kXba awlYk y`rDwn `li rbhm wyqwl ala$had hWla' alXyn kXbwa `li rbhm ala l`n+ allh `li alZalmyn     And who (is) more unjust/oppressive than who fabricated/cut and split on God lies/denials/falsifications? Those, they are being displayed/exhibited/shown on (to) their Lord, and the witnesses/testifiers (the angels) say: "Those (are) those who lied/denied/falsified on their Lord." Is not God's curse/torture on the unjust/oppressors?     Who are more evil than those who fabricate lies about GOD? They will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied about their Lord. GOD's condemnation has befallen the transgressors."     Who doth more wrong than those who invent a life against Allah. They will be turned back to the presence of their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord! Behold! the Curse of Allah is on those who do wrong!-
 
19.  *     الذي يصدون عن سبيل الله ويبغونها عوجا وهم بالاخرة هم كافرون     alXy ySdwn `n sbyl allh wybGwnha `wja whm balaKr+ hm kafrwn     Those who object/prevent/obstruct from God's way/path/sake, and they ask/wish/desire it (be) bent/crookedness/indirectness, and they, with the end (other life) they are disbelievers.     They repel from the way of GOD and seek to make it crooked, and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter.     "Those who would hinder (men) from the path of Allah and would seek in it something crooked: these were they who denied the Hereafter!"
 
20.  *     اولئك لم يكونوا معجزين في الارض وماكان لهم من دون الله من اولياء يضاعف لهم العذاب ما كانوا يستطيعون السمع وماكانوا يبصرون     awlYk lm ykwnwa m`jzyn fy alarD wmakan lhm mn dwn allh mn awlya' yDa`f lhm al`Xab ma kanwa ystTy`wn alsm` wmakanwa ybSrwn     Those, were not (to) be disabling/frustrating in the earth/Planet Earth and (there) were not for them from other than God from guardians/allies, the torture (will) be doubled/multiplied for them, and they were not able (of) the hearing (to hear)/listening (to listen), and they were not seeing/looking/understanding.     These will never escape, nor will they find any lords or masters to help them against GOD. Retribution will be doubled for them. They have failed to hear, and they have failed to see.     They will in no wise frustrate (His design) on earth, nor have they protectors besides Allah. Their penalty will be doubled! They lost the power to hear, and they did not see!
 
21.  *     اولئك الذين خسروا انفسهم وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترون     awlYk alXyn Ksrwa anfshm wDl `nhm ma kanwa yftrwn     Those are those who lost themselves, and what they were fabricating/cutting and splitting (was) wasted/lost from them.     These are the ones who lose their souls, and the idols they had fabricated will disown them.     They are the ones who have lost their own souls: and the (fancies) they invented have left them in the lurch!
 
22.  *     لاجرم انهم في الاخرة هم الاخسرون     lajrm anhm fy alaKr+ hm alaKsrwn     Undoutably/certainly that they (are) in the end (other life), they are the most losers.     There is no doubt that, in the Hereafter, they will be the worst losers.     Without a doubt, these are the very ones who will lose most in the Hereafter!
 
23.  *     ان الذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات واخبتوا الى ربهم اولئك اصحاب الجنة هم فيها خالدون     an alXyn amnwa w`mlwa alSalHat waKbtwa ali rbhm awlYk aSHab aljn+ hm fyha Kaldwn     That those who believed and made/did the correct/righteous deeds, and they became humble/tranquil to their Lord, those are the Paradise's owners/company/friends, they are in it immortally/eternally.     As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, and devote themselves to their Lord, they are the dwellers of Paradise; they abide therein forever.     But those who believe and work righteousness, and humble themselves before their Lord,- They will be companions of the gardens, to dwell therein for aye!
 
24.  *     مثل الفريقين كالاعمى والاصم والبصير والسميع هل يستويان مثلا افلا تذكرون     mxl alfryqyn kala`mi walaSm walbSyr walsmy` hl ystwyan mxla afla tXkrwn     The two groups'/parti es' example/proverb (is as) the blind, and the deaf, and the seeing, and the hearing, do they become (an) equal/alike example/proverb? So do you not mention/remember ?     The example of these two groups is like the blind and deaf, compared to the seer and hearer. Are they equal? Would you not take heed?     These two kinds (of men) may be compared to the blind and deaf, and those who can see and hear well. Are they equal when compared? Will ye not then take heed?
 
25.  *     ولقد ارسلنا نوحا الى قومه اني لكم نذير مبين     wlqd arslna nwHa ali qwmh any lkm nXyr mbyn     And We had sent Noah to his nation: "That I am for you (an) evident/clear warner/giver of notice."     We sent Noah to his people, saying, "I come to you as a clear warner.     We sent Noah to his people (with a mission): "I have come to you with a Clear Warning:
 
26.  *     ان لاتعبدوا الا الله اني اخاف عليكم عذاب يوم اليم     an lat`bdwa ala allh any aKaf `lykm `Xab ywm alym     That do not worship except God, that I, I fear on you a painful day's torture.     "You shall not worship except GOD. I fear for you the retribution of a painful day."     "That ye serve none but Allah. Verily I do fear for you the penalty of a grievous day."
 
27.  *     فقال الملا الذين كفروا من قومه مانراك الا بشرا مثلنا ومانراك اتبعك الا الذين هم اراذلنا بادي الراي ومانرى لكم علينا من فضل بل نظنكم كاذبين     fqal almla alXyn kfrwa mn qwmh manrak ala b$ra mxlna wmanrak atb`k ala alXyn hm araXlna bady alray wmanri lkm `lyna mn fDl bl nZnkm kaXbyn     So the nobles/groups/assembly those who disbelieved from his nation said: "We do not see you except (as) a human similar/equal/alike to us, and we do not see you (that) followed you except those who are our lowest/most despised, the opinion/belief (is) apparent, and we do not see for you on us from grace/favour/blessing, but we suspect you (are) liars/deniers/falsifiers."     The leaders who disbelieved among his people said, "We see that you are no more than a human being like us, and we see that the first people to follow you are the worst among us. We see that you do not possess any advantage over us. Indeed, we think you are liars."     But the chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "We see (in) thee nothing but a man like ourselves: Nor do we see that any follow thee but the meanest among us, in judgment immature: Nor do we see in you (all) any merit above us: in fact we thing ye are liars!"
 
28.  *     قال ياقوم ارايتم ان كنت على بينة من ربي واتاني رحمة من عنده فعميت عليكم انلزنكموها وانتم لها كارهون     qal yaqwm araytm an knt `li byn+ mn rby watany rHm+ mn `ndh f`myt `lykm anlznkmwha wantm lha karhwn     He said: "You (my) nation, did you see/understand if I was on an evidence from my Lord, and He gave me mercy from at Him, so (it) was blinding/confusing on you, that do we oblige/compel it to you, and you are to it hating?"147     He said, "O my people, what if I have a solid proof from my Lord? What if He has blessed me out of His mercy, though you cannot see it? Are we going to force you to believe therein?     He said: "O my people! See ye if (it be that) I have a Clear Sign from my Lord, and that He hath sent Mercy unto me from His own presence, but that the Mercy hath been obscured from your sight? shall we compel you to accept it when ye are averse to it?
 
29.  *     وياقوم لااسألكم عليه مالا ان اجري الا على الله وماانا بطارد الذين امنوا انهم ملاقوا ربهم ولكني اراكم قوما تجهلون     wyaqwm laasAlkm `lyh mala an ajry ala `li allh wmaana bTard alXyn amnwa anhm mlaqwa rbhm wlkny arakm qwma tjhlwn     And you my nation, I do not ask/demand/beg you on it (for) property/possession/wealth, that my reward/wage is except on (from) God, and I am not with expelling/driving out those who believed, that they are receiving/meeting/finding their Lord, and but I only, I see/understand you (as) a nation being lowly/ignorant.     "O my people, I do not ask you for any money; my wage comes only from GOD. I am not dismissing those who believed; they will meet their Lord (and He alone will judge them). I see that you are ignorant people.     "And O my people! I ask you for no wealth in return: my reward is from none but Allah. But I will not drive away (in contempt) those who believe: for verily they are to meet their Lord, and ye I see are the ignorant ones!
 
30.  *     وياقوم من ينصرني من الله ان طردهم افلا تذكرون     wyaqwm mn ynSrny mn allh an Trdhm afla tXkrwn     And you (my) nation, who gives me victory/aid from God, if I expelled/forced them out, so do you not mention/remember ?     "O my people, who can support me against GOD, if I dismiss them? Would you not take heed?     "And O my people! who would help me against Allah if I drove them away? Will ye not then take heed?
 
31.  *     ولااقول لكم عندي خزائن الله ولااعلم الغيب ولااقول اني ملك ولااقول للذين تزدري اعينكم لن يؤتيهم الله خيرا ، الله اعلم بما في انفسهم اني اذا لمن الظالمين     wlaaqwl lkm `ndy KzaYn allh wlaa`lm alGyb wlaaqwl any mlk wlaaqwl llXyn tzdry a`ynkm ln yWtyhm allh Kyra , allh a`lm bma fy anfshm any aXa lmn alZalmyn     And I do not say to you: 'At me (are) God's safes/storages (treasures), and I do not know the unseen/absent.'And I do not say: 'That I am (an) angel.' And I do not say to those who your eyes/sights despise/belittle : 'God will never/not give/bring them goodness.' God (is) more knowledgeable with what (is) in their selves, that I am then from (E) the unjust/oppressors.     "I do not claim that I possess the treasures of GOD, nor do I know the future, nor do I claim to be an angel. Nor do I say to those despised by your eyes that GOD will not bestow any blessings upon them. GOD knows best what is in their innermost thoughts. (If I did this,) I would be a transgressor."     "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor claim I to be an angel. Nor yet do I say, of those whom your eyes do despise that Allah will not grant them (all) that is good: Allah knoweth best what is in their souls: I should, if I did, indeed be a wrong-doer."
 
32.  *     قالوا يانوح قد جادلتنا فاكثرت جدالنا فاتنا بما تعدنا ان كنت من الصادقين     qalwa yanwH qd jadltna fakxrt jdalna fatna bma t`dna an knt mn alSadqyn     They said: "You Noah, you had argued/disputed with us, so you increased arguing/disputing with us, so bring to us with what you promise us, if you were from the truthful."     They said, "O Noah, you have argued with us, and kept on arguing. We challenge you to bring the doom you threaten us with, if you are truthful."     They said: "O Noah! thou hast disputed with us, and (much) hast thou prolonged the dispute with us: now bring upon us what thou threatenest us with, if thou speakest the truth!?"
 
33.  *     قال انما ياتيكم به الله ان شاء وماانتم بمعجزين     qal anma yatykm bh allh an $a' wmaantm bm`jzyn     He said: "But God brings with it to you, if He willed/wanted and you are not with disabling/frustrating."     He said, "GOD is the One who brings it to you, if He so wills, then you cannot escape.     He said: "Truly, Allah will bring it on you if He wills,- and then, ye will not be able to frustrate it!
 
34.  *     ولاينفعكم نصحي ان اردت ان انصح لكم ان كان الله يريد ان يغويكم هو ربكم واليه ترجعون     wlaynf`km nSHy an ardt an anSH lkm an kan allh yryd an yGwykm hw rbkm walyh trj`wn     And my advise does not benefit you, if I wanted/intended that I advise for you, if God was wanting/willing that He misguides/lures you, He is your Lord, and to Him you are being returned.     "Even if I advised you, my advice cannot benefit you if it is GOD's will to send you astray. He is your Lord, and to Him you will be returned."     "Of no profit will be my counsel to you, much as I desire to give you (good) counsel, if it be that Allah willeth to leave you astray: He is your Lord! and to Him will ye return!"
 
35.  *     ام يقولون افتراه قل ان افتريته فعلي اجرامي وانا برئ مما تجرمون     am yqwlwn aftrah ql an aftryth f`ly ajramy wana brY mma tjrmwn     Or they say: "He fabricated/cut and split it." Say: "If I fabricated/cut and split it so on me (is) my criminality/committing (of) sins, and I am innocent/renouncing from what you commit a crime/sin."     If they say, "He made up this story," then say, "If I made it up, then I am responsible for my crime, and I am innocent of any crime you commit."     Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Say: "If I had forged it, on me were my sin! and I am free of the sins of which ye are guilty!
 
36.  *     واوحى الى نوح انه لن يؤمن من قومك الا من قد امن فلاتبتئس بما كانوا يفعلون     wawHi ali nwH anh ln yWmn mn qwmk ala mn qd amn flatbtYs bma kanwa yf`lwn     And (it) was inspired/transmitted to Noah, that (none) will never/not believe from your nation except who had believed, so do not be miserable/fallen in hardship because (of) what they were making/doing.     Noah was inspired: "No more of your people are going to believe, beyond those who already believe. Do not be saddened by their actions.     It was revealed to Noah: "None of thy people will believe except those who have believed already! So grieve no longer over their (evil) deeds.
 
37.  *     واصنع الفلك باعيننا ووحينا ولاتخاطبني في الذين ظلموا انهم مغرقون     waSn` alflk ba`ynna wwHyna wlatKaTbny fy alXyn Zlmwa anhm mGrqwn     And make/produce the ship/ships with Our eyes/sights, and Our inspiration/transmission, and do not address/converse with Me in those who caused injustice/oppression, that they are being drowned/sunken.     "Build the ark under our watchful eyes, and with our inspiration, and do not implore Me on behalf of those who have transgressed; they are destined to drown."     "But construct an Ark under Our eyes and Our inspiration, and address Me no (further) on behalf of those who are in sin: for they are about to be overwhelmed (in the Flood)."
 
38.  *     ويصنع الفلك وكلما مر عليه ملا من قومه سخروا منه قال ان تسخروا منا فانا نسخر منكم كما تسخرون     wySn` alflk wklma mr `lyh mla mn qwmh sKrwa mnh qal an tsKrwa mna fana nsKr mnkm kma tsKrwn     And he makes/produces the ship/ships, and whenever a group/assembly/nobles from his nation passed on (by) him, they humiliated/mocked from him, he said: "If you humiliate/mock from us, so (that) we are humiliating/mocking from you as you humiliate/mock."     While he was building the ark, whenever some of his people passed by him they laughed at him. He said, "You may be laughing at us, but we are laughing at you, just as you are laughing.     Forthwith he (starts) constructing the Ark: Every time that the chiefs of his people passed by him, they threw ridicule on him. He said: "If ye ridicule us now, we (in our turn) can look down on you with ridicule likewise!
 
39.  *     فسوف تعلمون من ياتيه عذاب يخزيه ويحل عليه عذاب مقيم     fswf t`lmwn mn yatyh `Xab yKzyh wyHl `lyh `Xab mqym     So you will/shall know whom torture comes (to) him (that) shames/scandalizes him, and continuing torture (be) placed on him/deserved (to) him.     "You will surely find out who will suffer a shameful retribution, and incur an everlasting punishment."     "But soon will ye know who it is on whom will descend a penalty that will cover them with shame,- on whom will be unloosed a penalty lasting:"
 
40.  *     حتى اذا جاء امرنا وفار التنور قلنا احمل فيها من كل زوجين اثنين واهلك الا من سبق عليه القول ومن امن وما امن معه الا قليل     Hti aXa ja' amrna wfar altnwr qlna aHml fyha mn kl zwjyn axnyn wahlk ala mn sbq `lyh alqwl wmn amn wma amn m`h ala qlyl     Until when Our order/command came, and the hollow clay oven/furnace boiled over/gushed, We said: Carry/load/lift in it from every/each a pair/couple two, and your family/people/relation, except who the saying/words preceded on him, and who believed." And none believed with him except a little/few.     When our judgment came, and the atmosphere boiled over, we said, "Carry on it a pair of each kind, together with your family, except those who are condemned. Carry with you those who have believed," and only a few have believed with him.     At length, behold! there came Our command, and the fountains of the earth gushed forth! We said: "Embark therein, of each kind two, male and female, and your family - except those against whom the word has already gone forth,- and the Believers." but only a few believed with him.
 
41.  *     وقالو اركبوا فيها بسم الله مجريها ومرساها ان ربي لغفور رحيم     wqalw arkbwa fyha bsm allh mjryha wmrsaha an rby lGfwr rHym     And he said: "Ride/embark/board in it, by God's name its channel/passage/course, and its anchor/landing, that my Lord (is) forgiving, merciful."     He said, "Come on board. In the name of GOD shall be its sailing, and its mooring. My Lord is Forgiver, Most Merciful."     So he said: "Embark ye on the Ark, In the name of Allah, whether it move or be at rest! For my Lord is, be sure, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful!"
 
42.  *     وهي تجري بهم في موج كالجبال ونادى نوح ابنه وكان في معزل يابني اركب معنا ولاتكن مع الكافرين     why tjry bhm fy mwj kaljbal wnadi nwH abnh wkan fy m`zl yabny arkb m`na wlatkn m` alkafryn     And it flows/orbits with them in waves/surges as the mountains and Noah called/cried (to) his son, and (while his son) he was in a separation/isolation : "You my son, ride/embark/board with us, and do not be with the disbelievers."     As it sailed with them in waves like hills, Noah called his son, who was isolated: "O my son, come ride with us; do not be with the disbelievers."     So the Ark floated with them on the waves (towering) like mountains, and Noah called out to his son, who had separated himself (from the rest): "O my son! embark with us, and be not with the unbelievers!"
 
43.  *     قال ساوي الى جبل يعصمني من الماء قال لاعاصم اليوم من امر الله الا من رحم وحال بينهما الموج فكان من المغرقين     qal sawy ali jbl y`Smny mn alma' qal la`aSm alywm mn amr allh ala mn rHm wHal bynhma almwj fkan mn almGrqyn     He said: "I will take shelter/refuge to a mountain (that) protects/shelters me from the water." He said: "(There is) no protector/shelterer today, from God's order/command except who He had mercy upon." And148the waves/surges came in between/intervened between them (B), so he was from drowned/sunken.     He said, "I will take refuge on top of a hill, to protect me from the water." He said, "Nothing can protect anyone today from GOD's judgment; only those worthy of His mercy (will be saved)." The waves separated them, and he was among those who drowned.     The son replied: "I will betake myself to some mountain: it will save me from the water." Noah said: "This day nothing can save, from the command of Allah, any but those on whom He hath mercy! "And the waves came between them, and the son was among those overwhelmed in the Flood.
 
44.  *     وقيل ياارض ابلعي ماءك وياسماء اقلعي وغيض الماء وقضي الامر واستوت على الجودي وقيل بعدا للقوم الظالمين     wqyl yaarD abl`y ma'k wyasma' aql`y wGyD alma' wqDy alamr wastwt `li aljwdy wqyl b`da llqwm alZalmyn     And (it) was said: "You earth/Planet Earth/land swallow your water, and you sky/space cease/stop/clear up."And the water reduced/receded, and the matter/affair/order/command was accomplished/carried out, and it straightened/leveled on the Joody, and was said: "Curse to the nation the unjust/oppressive."     It was proclaimed: "O earth, swallow your water," and "O sky, cease." The water then subsided; the judgment was fulfilled. The ark finally rested on the hills of Judea. It was then proclaimed: "The transgressors have perished."     Then the word went forth: "O earth! swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!" and the water abated, and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount Judi, and the word went forth: "Away with those who do wrong!"
 
45.  *     ونادى نوح ربه فقال رب ان ابني من اهلي وان وعدك الحق وانت احكم الحاكمين     wnadi nwH rbh fqal rb an abny mn ahly wan w`dk alHq want aHkm alHakmyn     And Noah called/cried (to) his Lord so he said: "My Lord, that my son (is) from my family, and that your promise (is) the truth, and you are most judicious (of) the judges/rulers."     Noah implored his Lord: "My Lord, my son is a member of my family, and Your promise is the truth. You are the wisest of the wise."     And Noah called upon his Lord, and said: "O my Lord! surely my son is of my family! and Thy promise is true, and Thou art the justest of Judges!"
 
46.  *     قال يانوح انه ليس من اهلك انه عمل غير صالح فلاتسألن ماليس لك به علم اني اعظك ان تكون من الجاهلين     qal yanwH anh lys mn ahlk anh `ml Gyr SalH flatsAln malys lk bh `lm any a`Zk an tkwn mn aljahlyn     He said: "You Noah, that he is not from your family/relation/people. That he is (a) not correct/righteous deed, so do not question/ask Me, what is not with knowledge to you with it (you have no knowledge of), that I advise you that you be from the lowly/ignorant."     He said, "O Noah, he is not of your family. It is unrighteous to ask Me for something you do not know. I enlighten you, lest you be like the ignorant."     He said: "O Noah! He is not of thy family: For his conduct is unrighteous. So ask not of Me that of which thou hast no knowledge! I give thee counsel, lest thou act like the ignorant!"
 
47.  *     قال رب اعوذ بك ان اسألك ماليس لي به علم والا تغفر لي وترحمني اكن من الخاسرين     qal rb a`wX bk an asAlk malys ly bh `lm wala tGfr ly wtrHmny akn mn alKasryn     He said: "My Lord that I seek protection with You, that I ask/beg You what is not with me knowledge with it (I know nothing about), and unless You forgive for me and have mercy upon me, I will be from the losers."     He said, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You, lest I implore You again for something I do not know. Unless You forgive me, and have mercy on me, I will be with the losers."     Noah said: "O my Lord! I do seek refuge with Thee, lest I ask Thee for that of which I have no knowledge. And unless thou forgive me and have Mercy on me, I should indeed be lost!"
 
48.  *     قيل يانوح اهبط بسلام منا وبركات عليك وعلى امم ممن معك وامم سنمتعهم ثم يمسهم منا عذاب اليم     qyl yanwH ahbT bslam mna wbrkat `lyk w`li amm mmn m`k wamm snmt`hm xm ymshm mna `Xab alym     (It) was said: "You Noah, descend/enter with safety/security/peace from Us and blessings on you, and on nations from what/who (are) with you, and nations We will give them long life/make them enjoy, then painful torture from Us touches them."     It was proclaimed: "O Noah, disembark, with peace and blessings upon you, and upon nations who will descend from your companions. As for the other nations descending from you, we will bless them for awhile, then commit them to painful retribution."     The word came: "O Noah! Come down (from the Ark) with peace from Us, and blessing on thee and on some of the peoples (who will spring) from those with thee: but (there will be other) peoples to whom We shall grant their pleasures (for a time), but in the end will a grievous penalty reach them from Us."
 
49.  *     تلك من انباء الغيب نوحيها اليك ماكنت تعلمها انت ولاقومك من قبل هذا فاصبر ان العاقبة للمتقين     tlk mn anba' alGyb nwHyha alyk maknt t`lmha ant wlaqwmk mn qbl hXa faSbr an al`aqb+ llmtqyn     Those are from the unseen information/news, We inspire/transmit it to you, you were not knowing it, you, and nor your nation from before, that, so be patient that the end (result is) to the fearing and obeying.     This is news from the past that we reveal to you. You had no knowledge about them - neither you, nor your people - before this. Therefore, be patient. The ultimate victory belongs to the righteous.     Such are some of the stories of the unseen, which We have revealed unto thee: before this, neither thou nor thy people knew them. So persevere patiently: for the End is for those who are righteous.
 
50.  *     والى عاد اخاهم هودا قال ياقوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من اله غيره ان انتم الا مفترون     wali `ad aKahm hwda qal yaqwm a`bdwa allh malkm mn alh Gyrh an antm ala mftrwn     And to Aad, their brother Hoodan/Hood, he said: "You (my) nation, worship God (there is) not for you from a God other than Him, that you are except fabricators/cutters and splitters.     To `Aad we sent their brother Hood. He said, "O my people, worship GOD; you have no other god besides Him. You are inventing.     To the 'Ad People (We sent) Hud, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him. (Your other gods) ye do nothing but invent!
 
51.  *     ياقوم لااسألكم عليه اجرا ان اجري الا على الذي فطرني افلا تعقلون     yaqwm laasAlkm `lyh ajra an ajry ala `li alXy fTrny afla t`qlwn     You (my) nation, I do not ask/beg you on it (from) a reward/wage/fee, that my reward/wage/fee (is) except on who created me, so do you not reason/understand ?     O my people, I do not ask you for any wage. My wage comes only from the One who initiated me. Do you not understand?     "O my people! I ask of you no reward for this (Message). My reward is from none but Him who created me: Will ye not then understand?
 
52.  *     وياقوم استغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا اليه يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا ويزدكم قوة الى قوتكم ولاتتولوا مجرمين     wyaqwm astGfrwa rbkm xm twbwa alyh yrsl alsma' `lykm mdrara wyzdkm qw+ ali qwtkm wlattwlwa mjrmyn     And you (my) nation, ask for forgiveness (from) your Lord then repent to Him, He sends the skies/space on you flowing/pouring abundantly, and He increases you strength/power to your strength/power, and do not turn away (as) criminals/sinners.     "O my people, seek forgiveness from your Lord, then repent to Him. He will then shower you with provisions from the sky, and augment your strength. Do not turn back into transgressors."     "And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!"
 
53.  *     قالوا ياهود ماجئتنا ببينة ومانحن بتاركي الهتنا عن قولك ومانحن لك بمؤمنين     qalwa yahwd majYtna bbyn+ wmanHn btarky alhtna `n qwlk wmanHn lk bmWmnyn     They said: "You Hood, you did not come to us with an evidence, and we are not with leaving our Gods from/on your saying/opinion and belief and We are not to you with believing."     They said, "O Hood, you did not show us any proof, and we are not abandoning our gods on account of what you say. We will never be believers with you.     They said: "O Hud! No Clear (Sign) that hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee!
 
54.  *     ان نقول الا اعتراك بعض الهتنا بسوء قال اني اشهد الله واشهدوا اني برئ مما تشركون     an nqwl ala a`trak b`D alhtna bsw' qal any a$hd allh wa$hdwa any brY mma t$rkwn     That we say: 'Except some of our Gods afflicted you with bad/evil/harm.' He said: "I make God a witness/testifier, and witness/testify, that I am innocent/renouncing from what you share/make partners (with God)."     "We believe that some of our gods have afflicted you with a curse." He said, "I bear witness before GOD, and you bear witness as well, that I disown the idols you have set up -     "We say nothing but that (perhaps) some of our gods may have seized thee with imbecility." He said: "I call Allah to witness, and do ye bear witness, that I am free from the sin of ascribing, to Him,
 
55.  *     من دونه فكيدوني جميعا ثم لاتنظرون     mn dwnh fkydwny jmy`a xm latnZrwn     From other than Him, so plot/conspire against me all/all together, then you will not give me time/delay me.     "beside Him. So, give me your collective decision, without delay.     "Other gods as partners! so scheme (your worst) against me, all of you, and give me no respite.
 
56.  *     اني توكلت على الله ربي وربكم مامن دابة الا هو اخذ بناصيتها ان ربي على صراط مستقيم     any twklt `li allh rby wrbkm mamn dab+ ala hw aKX bnaSytha an rby `li SraT mstqym     That I relied/depended on God, my Lord and your Lord, (there is) not from a walker/creeper except He is taking with its forehead/foreheads' hair, that my Lord (is) on (a) straight/direct/balanced road/way.     "I have put my trust in GOD, my Lord and your Lord. There is not a creature that He does not control. My Lord is on the right path.     "I put my trust in Allah, My Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving creature, but He hath grasp of its fore-lock. Verily, it is my Lord that is on a straight Path.
 
57.  *     فان تولوا فقد ابلغتكم ماارسلت به اليكم ويستخلف ربي قوما غيركم ولاتضرونه شيئا ان ربي على كل شئ حفيظ     fan twlwa fqd ablGtkm maarslt bh alykm wystKlf rby qwma Gyrkm wlatDrwnh $yYa an rby `li kl $Y HfyZ     So if they turned away, so I had communicated/informed you what I was sent with it to you, and my Lord makes a successor a nation other than you, and you do not harm Him a thing, that my Lord (is) on every thing (an) honest protector/observer."149     "If you turn away, I have delivered to you what I was sent with. My Lord will substitute other people in your place; you cannot harm Him in the least. My Lord is in control of all things."     "If ye turn away,- I (at least) have conveyed the Message with which I was sent to you. My Lord will make another people to succeed you, and you will not harm Him in the least. For my Lord hath care and watch over all things."
 
58.  *     ولما جاء امرنا نجينا هودا والذين امنوا معه برحمة منا ونجيناهم من عذاب غليظ     wlma ja' amrna njyna hwda walXyn amnwa m`h brHm+ mna wnjynahm mn `Xab GlyZ     And when Our order/command came, We saved/rescued Hoodan/Hood and those who believed with him, with mercy from Us, and We saved/rescued them from a strong torture.     When our judgment came, we saved Hood and those who believed with him, by mercy from us. We saved them from a terrible retribution.     So when Our decree issued, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by (special) Grace from Ourselves: We saved them from a severe penalty.
 
59.  *     وتلك عاد جحدوا بايات ربهم وعصوا رسله واتبعوا امر كل جبار عنيد     wtlk `ad jHdwa bayat rbhm w`Swa rslh watb`wa amr kl jbar `nyd     And that is Aad, they disbelieved and denied with their Lord's evidences/verses and they disobeyed His messengers, and they followed every stubborn's/obstinant's tyrant's/rebels' order/command.     Such was `Aad - they disregarded the revelations of their Lord, disobeyed His messengers, and followed the ways of every stubborn tyrant.     Such were the 'Ad People: they rejected the Signs of their Lord and Cherisher; disobeyed His apostles; And followed the command of every powerful, obstinate transgressor.
 
60.  *     واتبعوا في هذه الدنيا لعنة ويوم القيامة ، الا ان عادا كفروا ربهم الا بعدا لعاد قوم هود     watb`wa fy hXh aldnya l`n+ wywm alqyam+ , ala an `ada kfrwa rbhm ala b`da l`ad qwm hwd     And they were followed in this the present world (by) curse/torture and the Resurrection Day, is not that Aad disbelieved (in) their Lord, is not destruction/death/curse to Aad, Hood's nation?     Consequently, they incurred condemnation in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, `Aad rejected their Lord. Indeed, `Aad, the people of Hood, have perished.     And they were pursued by a Curse in this life,- and on the Day of Judgment. Ah! Behold! for the 'Ad rejected their Lord and Cherisher! Ah! Behold! removed (from sight) were 'Ad the people of Hud!
 
61.  *     والى ثمود اخاهم صالحا قال ياقوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من اله غيره هو انشاكم من الارض واستعمركم فيها فاستغفروه ثم توبوا اليه ان ربي قريب مجيب     wali xmwd aKahm SalHa qal yaqwm a`bdwa allh malkm mn alh Gyrh hw an$akm mn alarD wast`mrkm fyha fastGfrwh xm twbwa alyh an rby qryb mjyb     And to Thamud their brother Saleh, He said: "You (my) nation worship God, (there is) not for you from a God other than Him, He created you in the Earth, and He made you inhabit/populate in it, so ask Him for forgiveness, then repent to Him, that my Lord (is) near/close answering/replying."     To Thamoud we sent their brother Saaleh. He said, "O my people, worship GOD; you have no other god beside Him. He initiated you from the earth, then settled you in it. You shall seek His forgiveness, then repent to Him. My Lord is always near, responsive."     To the Thamud People (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him. It is He Who hath produced you from the earth and settled you therein: then ask forgiveness of Him, and turn to Him (in repentance): for my Lord is (always) near, ready to answer."
 
62.  *     قالوا ياصالح قد كنت فينا مرجوا قبل هذا اتنهانا ان نعبد مايعبد اباؤنا واننا لفي شك مما تدعونا اليه مريب     qalwa yaSalH qd knt fyna mrjwa qbl hXa atnhana an n`bd may`bd abaWna wanna lfy $k mma td`wna alyh mryb     They Said: "You Saleh, you had been between us promising/hoped for before this, do you forbid/prevent us that we worship what our fathers worship? And that we truly (are) in (E) doubtful/suspicious doubt/suspicion from what you call us to it."     They said, "O Saaleh, you used to be popular among us before this. Are you enjoining us from worshiping what our parents are worshiping? We are full of doubt concerning everything you have told us."     They said: "O Salih! thou hast been of us! a centre of our hopes hitherto! dost thou (now) forbid us the worship of what our fathers worshipped? But we are really in suspicious (disquieting) doubt as to that to which thou invitest us."
 
63.  *     قال ياقوم ارايتم ان كنت على بينة من ربي واتاني منه رحمة فمن ينصرني من الله ان عصيته فما تزيدونني غير تخسير     qal yaqwm araytm an knt `li byn+ mn rby watany mnh rHm+ fmn ynSrny mn allh an `Syth fma tzydwnny Gyr tKsyr     He said: "You (my) nation did you see/understand if I was on an evidence from my Lord, and He gave me from Him mercy, so who gives me victory/aid if I disobeyed Him, so you do not increase me except loss ?"     He said, "O my people, what if I have solid proof from my Lord, and mercy from Him? Who would support me against GOD, if I disobeyed Him? You can only augment my loss.     He said: "O my people! do ye see? if I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord and He hath sent Mercy unto me from Himself,- who then can help me against Allah if I were to disobey Him? What then would ye add to my (portion) but perdition?
 
64.  *     وياقوم هذه ناقة الله لكم اية فذروها تاكل في ارض الله ولاتمسوها بسوء فياخذكم عذاب قريب     wyaqwm hXh naq+ allh lkm ay+ fXrwha takl fy arD allh wlatmswha bsw' fyaKXkm `Xab qryb     And you (my) nation this (is) God's female camel for you (as) an evidence/sign. So leave it eat in God's earth/ground/land and do not touch it with bad/evil/harm, so (then) near/close torture takes/punishes you.     "O my people, this is GOD's camel to serve as a proof for you. You shall let her eat from GOD's earth, and do not touch her with any harm, lest you incur an immediate retribution."     "And O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a symbol to you: leave her to feed on Allah.s (free) earth, and inflict no harm on her, or a swift penalty will seize you!"
 
65.  *     فعقروها فقال تمتعوا في داركم ثلاثة ايام ذلك وعد غير مكذوب     f`qrwha fqal tmt`wa fy darkm xlax+ ayam Xlk w`d Gyr mkXwb     So they wounded it/slaughtered it/cut it/made it infertile, so he said: "Enjoy three days in your home/country, that (is) a promise not denied/falsified."     They slaughtered her. He then said, "You have only three days to live. This is a prophecy that is inevitable."     But they did ham-string her. So he said: "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days: (Then will be your ruin): (Behold) there a promise not to be belied!"
 
66.  *     فلما جاء امرنا نجينا صالحا والذين امنوا معه برحمة منا ومن خزي يومئذ ان ربك هو القوي العزيز     flma ja' amrna njyna SalHa walXyn amnwa m`h brHm+ mna wmn Kzy ywmYX an rbk hw alqwy al`zyz     So when Our promise came We saved/rescued Saleh and those who believed with him, with mercy from Us and from that days' shame/scandal/disgrace, that your Lord, He is the powerful/strong, the glorious/mighty.     When our judgment came, we saved Saaleh and those who believed with him by mercy from us, from the humiliation of that day. Your Lord is the Most Powerful, the Almighty.     When Our Decree issued, We saved Salih and those who believed with him, by (special) Grace from Ourselves - and from the Ignominy of that day. For thy Lord - He is the Strong One, and able to enforce His Will.
 
67.  *     واخذ الذين ظلموا الصيحة فاصبحوا في ديارهم جاثمين     waKX alXyn Zlmwa alSyH+ faSbHwa fy dyarhm jaxmyn     And the loud strong cry/torture/raid took/punished those who caused injustice/oppression, so they became/became in the morning in their homes/countries stuck to the ground (dead).     Those who transgressed were annihilated by the disaster, leaving them in their homes, dead.     The (mighty) Blast overtook the wrong-doers, and they lay prostrate in their homes before the morning,-
 
68.  *     كان لم يغنوا فيها الا ان ثمود كفروا ربهم الا بعدا لثمود     kan lm yGnwa fyha ala an xmwd kfrwa rbhm ala b`da lxmwd     As though they did not inhabit/enrich in it, is (it) not that Thamud disbelieved (in) their Lord, is not destruction/death/curse to Thamud?     It was as if they never lived there. Indeed, Thamoud have rejected their Lord. Absolutely, Thamoud have incurred their annihilation.     As if they had never dwelt and flourished there. Ah! Behold! for the Thamud rejected their Lord and Cherisher! Ah! Behold! removed (from sight) were the Thamud!
 
69.  *     ولقد جاءت رسلنا ابراهيم بالبشرى قالوا سلاما قال سلام فمالبث ان جاء بعجل حنيذ     wlqd ja't rslna abrahym balb$ri qalwa slama qal slam fmalbx an ja' b`jl HnyX     And Our messengers had come (to) Abraham with the good news. They said: "Greeting/security/peace." He said: "Greeting/security/peace." So he did not stay/wait/remain (before) that (E) he came with a toasted/well done (m) calf.     When our messengers went to Abraham with good news, they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and soon brought a roasted calf.     There came Our messengers to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.
 
70.  *     فلما راى ايديهم لاتصل اليه نكرهم واوجس منهم خيفة قالوا لاتخف انا ارسلنا الى قوم لوط     flma rai aydyhm latSl alyh nkrhm wawjs mnhm Kyf+ qalwa latKf ana arslna ali qwm lwT     So when he saw/understood their hands do not reach to it, he denied/did not recognize them, and he felt inner horror/fright fearfully/frightfully from them, they said: "Do not fear, that we, we were sent to Lot's nation."     When he saw that their hands did not touch it, he became suspicious and fearful of them. They said, "Do not be afraid, we are being dispatched to the people of Lot."     But when he saw their hands went not towards the (meal), he felt some mistrust of them, and conceived a fear of them. They said: "Fear not: We have been sent against the people of Lut."
 
71.  *     وامراته قائمة فضحكت فبشرناها باسحاق ومن وراء اسحاق يعقوب     wamrath qaYm+ fDHkt fb$rnaha basHaq wmn wra' asHaq y`qwb     And His woman (wife) standing, so she laughed/wondered, so We announced good news to her with Issac, and from behind Issac, Jacob.     His wife was standing, and she laughed when we gave her the good news about Isaac, and after Isaac, Jacob.     And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed: But we gave her glad tidings of Isaac, and after him, of Jacob.
 
72.  *     قالت ياويلتي ءالد وانا عجوز وهذا بعلي شيخا ان هذا لشئ عجيب     qalt yawylty 'ald wana `jwz whXa b`ly $yKa an hXa l$Y `jyb     She said: "Oh my calamity/scandal/misfortune, do I give birth and I am old/weak and that (is) my husband old aged, that, that (is) an unusual/strange thing (E)."     She said, "Woe to me, how could I bear a child at my age, and here is my husband, an old man? This is really strange!"     She said: "Alas for me! shall I bear a child, seeing I am an old woman, and my husband here is an old man? That would indeed be a wonderful thing!"
 
73.  *     قالوا اتعجبين من امر الله رحمة الله وبركاته عليكم اهل البيت انه حميد مجيد     qalwa at`jbyn mn amr allh rHm+ allh wbrkath `lykm ahl albyt anh Hmyd mjyd     They said: "Are you wondering/astonished from God's order/command/matter/affair, God's mercy and His blessings on you people of the house/home, that He is praiseworthy/commendable, glorious/magnified."     They said,"Do you find it strange for GOD? GOD has bestowed His mercy and blessings upon you, O inhabitants of the shrine. He is Praiseworthy, Glorious."     They said: "Dost thou wonder at Allah.s decree? The grace of Allah and His blessings on you, o ye people of the house! for He is indeed worthy of all praise, full of all glory!"
 
74.  *     فلما ذهب عن ابراهيم الروع وجاءته البشرى يجادلنا في قوم لوط     flma Xhb `n abrahym alrw` wja'th alb$ri yjadlna fy qwm lwT     So when the fear/fright went away from Abraham, and the good news came to him, (he) argues/disputes with Us in150Lot's nation.     When Abraham's fear subsided, and the good news was delivered to him, he proceeded to argue with us on behalf of Lot's people.     When fear had passed from (the mind of) Abraham and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to plead with us for Lut's people.
 
75.  *     ان ابراهيم لحليم اواه منيب     an abrahym lHlym awah mnyb     That Abraham (was) clement/patient (E) groaner/moaner returning to God/repenting.     Indeed, Abraham was clement, extremely kind, and obedient.     For Abraham was, without doubt, forbearing (of faults), compassionate, and given to look to Allah.
 
76.  *     ياابراهيم اعرض عن هذا انه قد جاء امر ربك وانهم اتيهم عذاب غير مردود     yaabrahym a`rD `n hXa anh qd ja' amr rbk wanhm atyhm `Xab Gyr mrdwd     You Abraham, turn away from that, that it truly, your Lord's order/command had come, and that they, (a) torture (which is) not being returned, is coming to them.     "O Abraham, refrain from this. Your Lord's judgment has been issued; they have incurred unavoidable retribution."     O Abraham! Seek not this. The decree of thy Lord hath gone forth: for them there cometh a penalty that cannot be turned back!
 
77.  *     ولما جاءت رسلنا لوطا سيئ بهم وضاق بهم ذرعا وقال هذا يوم عصيب     wlma ja't rslna lwTa syY bhm wDaq bhm Xr`a wqal hXa ywm `Syb     And when Our messengers came (to) Lot, he felt bad/evil/harm because of them and he was impatient with them (became uptight), and he said: "This (is a) very hot (difficult) day."     When our messengers went to Lot, they were mistreated, and he was embarrassed by their presence. He said, "This is a difficult day."     When Our messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account and felt himself powerless (to protect) them. He said: "This is a distressful day."
 
78.  *     وجاءه قومه يهرعون اليه ومن قبل كانوا يعملون السيئات قال ياقوم هؤلاء بناتي هن اطهر لكم فاتقوا الله ولاتخزون في ضيفي اليس منكم رجل رشيد     wja'h qwmh yhr`wn alyh wmn qbl kanwa y`mlwn alsyYat qal yaqwm hWla' bnaty hn aThr lkm fatqwa allh wlatKzwn fy Dyfy alys mnkm rjl r$yd     And his nation came to him rushing disturbedly/hysterically/madly to him, and from before they were making/doing the sins/crimes, he said: "You (my) nation those are my daughters, they are (F) purer for you, so fear and obey God and do not shame/scandalize/disgrace me in (front of) my guests, is (there) not from you a correctly/rightly guided man?"     His people came rushing; they had grown accustomed to their sinful acts. He said, "O my people, it would be purer for you, if you take my daughters instead. You shall reverence GOD; do not embarrass me with my guests. Have you not one reasonable man among you?"     And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?"
 
79.  *     قالوا لقد علمت مالنا في بناتك من حق وانك لتعلم مانريد     qalwa lqd `lmt malna fy bnatk mn Hq wank lt`lm manryd     They said: "You had (E) known (there) is not for us from (a) right in your daughters, and that you know (E) what we want."     They said, "You know well that we have no need for your daughters; you know exactly what we want."     They said: "Well dost thou know we have no need of thy daughters: indeed thou knowest quite well what we want!"
 
80.  *     قال لو ان لي بكم قوة او اوي الى ركن شديد     qal lw an ly bkm qw+ aw awy ali rkn $dyd     He said: "If that for me (is) on you power/strength, or I take shelter to a strong corner/strong support."     He said, "I wish I were strong enough, or had a powerful ally!"     He said: "Would that I had power to suppress you or that I could betake myself to some powerful support."
 
81.  *     قالوا يالوط انا رسل ربك لن يصلوا اليك فاسر باهلك بقطع من الليل ولايلتفت منكم احد الا امراتك انه مصيبها مااصابهم ان موعدهم الصبح اليس الصبح بقريب     qalwa yalwT ana rsl rbk ln ySlwa alyk fasr bahlk bqT` mn allyl wlayltft mnkm aHd ala amratk anh mSybha maaSabhm an mw`dhm alSbH alys alSbH bqryb     They said: "You Lot that we (are) your Lord's messengers, they will never/not reach to you, so move/travel with your family/relation/people with parts/portions from the night, and no one of you turns around except your woman (wife), that it what struck/hit/marked them is striking/hitting/marking her, that their appointment (is) the morning/day break, is not the morning/daybreak with near/close?"     (The angels) said, "O Lot, we are your Lord's messengers, and these people cannot touch you. You shall leave with your family during the night, and let not anyone of you look back, except your wife; she is condemned along with those who are condemned. Their appointed time is the morning. Is not the morning soon enough?"     (The Messengers) said: "O Lut! We are Messengers from thy Lord! By no means shall they reach thee! now travel with thy family while yet a part of the night remains, and let not any of you look back: but thy wife (will remain behind): To her will happen what happens to the people. Morning is their time appointed: Is not the morning nigh?"
 
82.  *     فلما جاء امرنا جعلنا عاليها سافلها وامطرنا عليها حجارة من سجيل منضود     flma ja' amrna j`lna `alyha saflha wamTrna `lyha Hjar+ mn sjyl mnDwd     So when Our order/command came, We made its high/elevated, its lowest/bottom (up side down) and We rained on it stones of dry and hardened mud neatly piled over each other.     When our judgment came, we turned it upside down, and we showered it with hard, devastating rocks.     When Our Decree issued, We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay, spread, layer on layer,-
 
83.  *     مسومة عند ربك وماهي من الظالمين ببعيد     mswm+ `nd rbk wmahy mn alZalmyn bb`yd     Marked/identified at your Lord and it is not with far/distant from the unjust/oppressors.     Such rocks were designated by your Lord to strike the transgressors.     Marked as from thy Lord: Nor are they ever far from those who do wrong!
 
84.  *     والى مدين اخاهم شعيبا قال ياقوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من اله غيره ولاتنقصوا المكيال والميزان اني اراكم بخير واني اخاف عليكم عذاب يوم محيط     wali mdyn aKahm $`yba qal yaqwm a`bdwa allh malkm mn alh Gyrh wlatnqSwa almkyal walmyzan any arakm bKyr wany aKaf `lykm `Xab ywm mHyT     And to Madyan/Madya (We sent) their brother Shu'aib, he said: "You (my) nation, worship God (there is) not for you from a God other than Him, and do not reduce/decrease the measuring/weighing device, and the scale/weight, that I see/understand you with goodness, and that I, I fear on you a surrounding's/encircling's day's torture."     To Midyan we sent their brother Shu`aib. He said, "O my people, worship GOD; you have no other god beside Him. Do not cheat when you measure or weigh. I see that you are prosperous, and I fear for you the retribution of an overwhelming day.     To the Madyan People (We sent) Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah. Ye have no other god but Him. And give not short measure or weight: I see you in prosperity, but I fear for you the penalty of a day that will compass (you) all round.
 
85.  *     وياقوم اوفوا المكيال والميزان بالقسط ولاتبخسوا الناس اشياءهم ولاتعثوا في الارض مفسدين     wyaqwm awfwa almkyal walmyzan balqsT wlatbKswa alnas a$ya'hm wlat`xwa fy alarD mfsdyn     And you (my) nation fulfill/complete the measuring/weighing device and the scale/weight with the just/equitable, and do not reduce/cheat the people (of) their things, and do not corrupt in the earth/Planet Earth disordering/corrupting.     "O my people, you shall give full measure and full weight, equitably. Do not cheat the people out of their rights, and do not roam the earth corruptingly.     "And O my people! give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due: commit not evil in the land with intent to do mischief.
 
86.  *     بقية الله خير لكم ان كنتم مؤمنين وما انا عليكم بحفيظ     bqy+ allh Kyr lkm an kntm mWmnyn wma ana `lykm bHfyZ     God's remainder/remnant/rest (is) best for you if you were believing, and I am not with a protector/observer on you."     "Whatever GOD provides for you, no matter how small, is far better for you, if you are really believers. I am not a guardian over you."     "That which is left you by Allah is best for you, if ye (but) believed! but I am not set over you to keep watch!"
 
87.  *     قالوا ياشعيب اصلاتك تامرك ان نترك مايعبد اباؤنا او ان نفعل في اموالنا مانشاء انك لانت الحليم الرشيد     qalwa ya$`yb aSlatk tamrk an ntrk may`bd abaWna aw an nf`l fy amwalna man$a' ank lant alHlym alr$yd     They said: "You Shu'aib, do your prayers order/command you that we leave/discard what our fathers worship, or that we do with our properties/wealths/possessions what we want, that you, you are (E) the clement, the correctly/rightly guided."     They said, "O Shu`aib, does your religion dictate upon you that we must abandon our parents' religion, or running our businesses in any manner we choose? Surely, you are known for being clement, wise."     They said: "O Shu'aib! Does thy (religion of) prayer command thee that we leave off the worship which our fathers practised, or that we leave off doing what we like with our property? truly, thou art the one that forbeareth with faults and is right- minded!"
 
88.  *     قال ياقوم اريتم ان كنت على بينة من ربي ورزقني منه رزقا حسنا ومااريد ان اخالفكم الى ماانهاكم عنه ان اريد الا الاصلاح مااستطعت وماتوفيقي الا بالله عليه توكلت واليه انيب     qal yaqwm arytm an knt `li byn+ mn rby wrzqny mnh rzqa Hsna wmaaryd an aKalfkm ali maanhakm `nh an aryd ala alaSlaH maastT`t wmatwfyqy ala ballh `lyh twklt walyh anyb     He said: "You (my) nation, did you see/understand if I were on an evidence from my Lord, and He provided for me from Him a good/beautiful provision, and I do not want that I differ/disagree with you to what I forbid/prevented you from it, that truly I want (nothing) except the correction/repair/reconciliation what I was able (to do), and my success/inspiration is except by God, on Him I relied/depended, and to Him I151repent/obey."     He said, "O my people, what if I have solid proof from my Lord; what if He has provided me with a great blessing? It is not my wish to commit what I enjoin you from. I only wish to correct as many wrongs as I can. My guidance depends totally on GOD; I have put my trust in Him. To Him I have totally submitted.     He said: "O my people! see ye whether I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord, and He hath given me sustenance (pure and) good as from Himself? I wish not, in opposition to you, to do that which I forbid you to do. I only desire (your) betterment to the best of my power; and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah. In Him I trust, and unto Him I look.
 
89.  *     وياقوم لايجرمنكم شقاقي ان يصيبكم مثل مااصاب قوم نوح او قوم هود او قوم صالح وماقوم لوط منكم ببعيد     wyaqwm layjrmnkm $qaqy an ySybkm mxl maaSab qwm nwH aw qwm hwd aw qwm SalH wmaqwm lwT mnkm bb`yd     And you (my) nation (let) not my defiance/animosity (to you) make you commit a crime/sin that strikes you (with) similar (to) what stuck Noah's nation, or Hood's nation, or Saleh's nation, and Lot's nation is not with far/distant from you.     "And, O my people, do not be provoked by your opposition to me into incurring the same disasters as the people of Noah, or the people of Hood, or the people of Saaleh; and the people of Lot are not too far from you.     "And O my people! let not my dissent (from you) cause you to sin, lest ye suffer a fate similar to that of the people of Noah or of Hud or of Salih, nor are the people of Lut far off from you!
 
90.  *     واستغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا اليه ان ربي رحيم ودود     wastGfrwa rbkm xm twbwa alyh an rby rHym wdwd     And ask for forgiveness from your Lord, then repent to Him, that my Lord (is) merciful, loving/affectionate.     "You shall implore your Lord for forgiveness, then repent to Him. My Lord is Most Merciful, Kind."     "But ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn unto Him (in repentance): For my Lord is indeed full of mercy and loving-kindness."
 
91.  *     قالوا ياشعيب مانفقه كثيرا مما تقول وانا لنراك فينا ضعيفا ولولا رهطك لرجمناك وماانت علينا بعزيز     qalwa ya$`yb manfqh kxyra mma tqwl wana lnrak fyna D`yfa wlwla rhTk lrjmnak wmaant `lyna b`zyz     They said: "You Shu'aib, we do not understand/know much (from) what you say, and that we, we see/understand you (E) (are) in us weak, and where it not for your tribe/group, we would have stoned you, and you are not with a dear on us."     They said, "O Shu`aib, we do not comprehend many of the things you are telling us, and we see that you are powerless among us. If it were not for your tribe, we would have stoned you. You have no value for us."     They said: "O Shu'aib! much of what thou sayest we do not understand! In fact among us we see that thou hast no strength! Were it not for thy family, we should certainly have stoned thee! for thou hast among us no great position!"
 
92.  *     قال ياقوم ارهطي اعز عليكم من الله واتخذتموه وراءكم ظهريا ان ربي بما تعملون محيط     qal yaqwm arhTy a`z `lykm mn allh watKXtmwh wra'km Zhrya an rby bma t`mlwn mHyT     He said: "You (my) nation, is my tribe/group dearer to you than God, and you took Him behind you forgotten behind the back? That my Lord (is) with what you make/do surrounding."     He said, "O my people, does my tribe command a greater respect than GOD? Is this why you have been heedless of Him? My Lord is fully aware of everything you do.     He said: "O my people! is then my family of more consideration with you than Allah. For ye cast Him away behind your backs (with contempt). But verily my Lord encompasseth on all sides all that ye do!
 
93.  *     وياقوم اعملوا على مكانتكم اني عامل سوف تعلمون من ياتيه عذاب يخزيه ومن هو كاذب وارتقبوا اني معكم رقيب     wyaqwm a`mlwa `li mkantkm any `aml swf t`lmwn mn yatyh `Xab yKzyh wmn hw kaXb wartqbwa any m`km rqyb     And you (my) nation, make/do on your capacity/place/position, that I am making/doing/working, you will/shall know who comes to him torture (that) shames/scandalizes/disgraces him, and who he is lying/denying, and observe/watch that I am with you (an) observer/watcher."     "O my people, go on doing what you wish, and so will I. You will certainly find out which of us will incur shameful retribution; you will find out who the liar is. Just wait in anticipation, and I will wait in anticipation along with you."     "And O my people! Do whatever ye can: I will do (my part): Soon will ye know who it is on whom descends the penalty of ignominy; and who is a liar! and watch ye! for I too am watching with you!"
 
94.  *     ولما جاء امرنا نجينا شعيبا والذين امنوا معه برحمة منا واخذت الذين ظلموا الصيحة فاصبحوا في ديارهم جاثمين     wlma ja' amrna njyna $`yba walXyn amnwa m`h brHm+ mna waKXt alXyn Zlmwa alSyH+ faSbHwa fy dyarhm jaxmyn     And when Our order/command came, We saved/rescued Shu'aib and those who believed with him with mercy from Us, and the loud strong cry/torture raid took/punished those who caused injustice/oppression, so they became/became in the morning in their homes/countries struck to the ground (dead).     When our judgment came, we saved Shu`aib and those who believed with him, by mercy from us. As for the evil ones, they were struck by a disaster that left them dead in their homes.     When Our decree issued, We saved Shu'aib and those who believed with him, by (special) mercy from Ourselves: But the (mighty) blast did seize the wrong- doers, and they lay prostrate in their homes by the morning,-
 
95.  *     كان لم يغنوا فيها الا بعدا لمدين كما بعدت ثمود     kan lm yGnwa fyha ala b`da lmdyn kma b`dt xmwd     As though they did no inhabit/enrich in it, is not (a) destruction/death/curse to Madyan, as Thamud was destroyed/dead/cursed?     It was as though they never existed. Thus, Midyan perished, just like Thamoud had perished before that.     As if they had never dwelt and flourished there! Ah! Behold! How the Madyan were removed (from sight) as were removed the Thamud!
 
96.  *     ولقد ارسلنا موسى باياتنا وسلطان مبين     wlqd arslna mwsi bayatna wslTan mbyn     And We had sent Moses with Our evidences/signs and (an) evident proof/evidence.     We sent Moses with our signs and a profound authority.     And we sent Moses, with Our Clear (Signs) and an authority manifest,
 
97.  *     الى فرعون وملئه فاتبعوا امر فرعون وما امر فرعون برشيد     ali fr`wn wmlYh fatb`wa amr fr`wn wma amr fr`wn br$yd     To Pharaoh and his nobles/group/assembly, so they followed Pharaoh's order/command, and Pharaoh's order/command is not with (the) correct/right guidance.     To Pharaoh and his elders. But they followed the command of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh's command was not wise.     Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs: but they followed the command of Pharaoh and the command of Pharaoh was no right (guide).
 
98.  *     يقدم قومه يوم القيامة فاوردهم النار وبئس الورد المورود     yqdm qwmh ywm alqyam+ fawrdhm alnar wbYs alwrd almwrwd     He precedes/goes before his nation (on) the Resurrection Day, so He made them approach/near the fire,and how bad (is) the army/thirst, the targeted/neared ?     He will lead his people on the Day of Resurrection, all the way to Hell; what a miserable abode to live in!     He will go before his people on the Day of Judgment, and lead them into the Fire (as cattle are led to water): But woeful indeed will be the place to which they are led!
 
99.  *     واتبعوا في هذه لعنة ويوم القيامة بئس الرفد المرفود     watb`wa fy hXh l`n+ wywm alqyam+ bYs alrfd almrfwd     And they were followed in this (by) curse/torture and (on) the Resurrection Day, how bad (is) the giving/support, the given/(desired) support ?     They have incurred condemnation in this life, as well as on the Day of Resurrection; what a miserable path to follow!     And they are followed by a curse in this (life) and on the Day of Judgment: and woeful is the gift which shall be given (unto them)!
 
100.  *     ذلك من انباء القرى نقصه عليك منها قائم وحصيد     Xlk mn anba' alqri nqSh `lyk mnha qaYm wHSyd     That (is) from the villages'/urban cities' information/news, We narrate/relay it on (to) you, from it (there are villages) standing and harvested/uprooted.     This is news from the past communities that we narrate to you. Some are still standing, and some have vanished.     These are some of the stories of communities which We relate unto thee: of them some are standing, and some have been mown down (by the sickle of time).
 
101.  *     وماظلمناهم ولكن ظلموا انفسهم فما اغنت عنهم الهتهم التي يدعون من دون الله من شئ لما جاء امر ربك ومازادوهم غير تتبيب     wmaZlmnahm wlkn Zlmwa anfshm fma aGnt `nhm alhthm alty yd`wn mn dwn allh mn $Y lma ja' amr rbk wmazadwhm Gyr ttbyb     And We did not cause injustice/oppression to them, and but they caused injustice/oppression (to) themselves, so their gods which they call from other than God did not enrich/satisfy from a thing from them (their gods did not help them in any way or thing), when your Lord's order/command came, and they did not increase them other than destruction/loss.     We never wronged them; they wronged their own souls. Their gods, whom they invoked beside GOD, could not help them in the least when the judgment of your Lord came. In fact, they only ensured their doom.     It was not We that wronged them: They wronged their own souls: the deities, other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them no whit when there issued the decree of thy Lord: Nor did they add aught (to their lot) but perdition!
 
102.  *     وكذلك اخذ ربك اذا اخذ القرى وهي ظالمة ان اخذه اليم شديد     wkXlk aKX rbk aXa aKX alqri why Zalm+ an aKXh alym $dyd     And as/like that (is) your Lord's punishing, if/when He took/punished the villages/urban cities, and (while) it is unjust/oppressive, that His punishing (is) strong (severe).     Such was the retribution enforced by your Lord when the communities transgressed. Indeed, His retribution is painful, devastating.     Such is the chastisement of thy Lord when He chastises communities in the midst of their wrong: grievous, indeed, and severe is His chastisement.
 
103.  *     ان في ذلك لاية لمن خاف عذاب الاخرة ذلك يوم مجموع له الناس وذلك يوم مشهود     an fy Xlk lay+ lmn Kaf `Xab alaKr+ Xlk ywm mjmw` lh alnas wXlk ywm m$hwd     That in this (is) a sign/evidence (E) to who feared the end's/other life's torture, that (is) a day/time the people (are) being gathered/collected to Him/it, and that (is) a witnessed day.     This should be a lesson for those who fear the retribution of the Hereafter. That is a day when all the people will be summoned - a day to be witnessed.     In that is a Sign for those who fear the penalty of the Hereafter: that is a Day for which mankind will be gathered together: that will be a Day of Testimony.
 
104.  *     ومانؤخره الا لاجل معدود     wmanWKrh ala lajl m`dwd     And We do not delay it, except a term/time counted/prepared.152     We have appointed a specific time for it to take place.     Nor shall We delay it but for a term appointed.
 
105.  *     يوم يات لاتكلم نفس الا باذنه فمنهم شقي وسعيد     ywm yat latklm nfs ala baXnh fmnhm $qy ws`yd     (When that) day comes, a self does not speak/talk except with His permission, so from them (are people) miserable/unhappy and happy/fortunate.     The day it comes to pass, no soul will utter a single word, except in accordance with His will. Some will be miserable, and some will be happy.     The day it arrives, no soul shall speak except by His leave: of those (gathered) some will be wretched and some will be blessed.
 
106.  *     فاما الذين شقوا ففي النار لهم فيها زفير وشهيق     fama alXyn $qwa ffy alnar lhm fyha zfyr w$hyq     So but those who were miserable/unhappy, so (they are) in the fire, for them in it (is) deep exhalation and loud inhalation.     As for the miserable ones, they will be in Hell, wherein they sigh and wail.     Those who are wretched shall be in the Fire: There will be for them therein (nothing but) the heaving of sighs and sobs:
 
107.  *     خالدين فيها مادامت السماوات والارض الا ماشاء ربك ان ربك فعال لما يريد     Kaldyn fyha madamt alsmawat walarD ala ma$a' rbk an rbk f`al lma yryd     Immortally/eternally in it as long as the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth continued/lasted, except what your Lord willed/wanted, that your Lord (is a) maker/doer, to what He wills/wants.     Eternally they abide therein, for as long as the heavens and the earth endure, in accordance with the will of your Lord. Your Lord is doer of whatever He wills.     They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: for thy Lord is the (sure) accomplisher of what He planneth.
 
108.  *     واما الذين سعدوا ففي الجنة خالدين فيها مادامت السماوات والارض الا ماشاء ربك عطاء غير مجذوذ     wama alXyn s`dwa ffy aljn+ Kaldyn fyha madamt alsmawat walarD ala ma$a' rbk `Ta' Gyr mjXwX     And but those who were made happy/fortunate, so (they are) in the Paradise, immortally/eternally in it, as long as the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth continued/lasted, except what your Lord willed/wanted, a gift/grant not cut/broken (interrupted).     As for the fortunate ones, they will be in Paradise. Eternally they abide therein, for as long as the heavens and the earth endure, in accordance with the will of your Lord - an everlasting reward.     And those who are blessed shall be in the Garden: They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: a gift without break.
 
109.  *     فلاتك في مرية مما يعبد هؤلاء مايعبدون الا كما يعبد اباؤهم من قبل وانا لموفوهم نصيبهم غير منقوص     flatk fy mry+ mma y`bd hWla' may`bdwn ala kma y`bd abaWhm mn qbl wana lmwfwhm nSybhm Gyr mnqwS     So do not be in doubt from what those worship, they do not worship except as their fathers worship(ed) from before, and that We are fulfilling/completing their share/fortune, not reduced/decreased.     Do not have any doubt regarding what these people worship; they worship exactly as they found their parents worshiping. We will requite them their due share fully, without reduction.     Be not then in doubt as to what these men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them): but verily We shall pay them back (in full) their portion without (the least) abatement.
 
110.  *     ولقد اتينا موسى الكتاب فاختلف فيه ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك لقضي بينهم وانهم لفي شك منه مريب     wlqd atyna mwsi alktab faKtlf fyh wlwla klm+ sbqt mn rbk lqDy bynhm wanhm lfy $k mnh mryb     And We had given/brought Moses The Book, so it was differed/disputed in it, and were it not for a word/expression (that) preceded from your Lord, (it) would have ended/accomplished (settled) (E) between them, and that they are in (E) doubtful/suspicious doubt/suspicion from it.     We have given Moses the scripture, but it was disputed, and if it were not for a predetermined word decreed by your Lord, they would have been judged immediately. They are full of doubt about this, suspicious.     We certainly gave the Book to Moses, but differences arose therein: had it not been that a word had gone forth before from thy Lord, the matter would have been decided between them, but they are in suspicious doubt concerning it.
 
111.  *     وان كلا لما ليوفينهم ربك اعمالهم انه بما يعملون خبير     wan kla lma lywfynhm rbk a`malhm anh bma y`mlwn Kbyr     And that your Lord then, will fulfill/complete for them (E) each/every (one's) deeds, that He (is) with what they make/do an expert/experienced.     Your Lord will surely recompense everyone for their works. He is fully Cognizant of everything they do.     And, of a surety, to all will your Lord pay back (in full the recompense) of their deeds: for He knoweth well all that they do.
 
112.  *     فاستقم كما امرت ومن تاب معك ولاتطغوا انه بما تعملون بصير     fastqm kma amrt wmn tab m`k wlatTGwa anh bma t`mlwn bSyr     So be straight/direct as you were ordered/commanded, and who repented with you, and do not tyrannize/exceed the limit, that He (is) with what you make/do seeing.     Therefore, continue on the path you have been enjoined to follow, together with those who repented with you, and do not transgress. He is Seer of everything you do.     Therefore stand firm (in the straight Path) as thou art commanded,- thou and those who with thee turn (unto Allah.; and transgress not (from the Path): for He seeth well all that ye do.
 
113.  *     ولاتركنوا الى الذين ظلموا فتمسكم النار ومالكم من دون الله من اولياء ثم لاتنصرون     wlatrknwa ali alXyn Zlmwa ftmskm alnar wmalkm mn dwn allh mn awlya' xm latnSrwn     And do not lean towards to those who caused injustice/oppression, so the fire touches you, and (there are) no guardians/allies for you from other than God, then you (will) not be given victory/aid.     Do not lean towards those who have transgressed, lest you incur Hell, and find no allies to help you against GOD, then end up losers.     And incline not to those who do wrong, or the Fire will seize you; and ye have no protectors other than Allah, nor shall ye be helped.
 
114.  *     واقم الصلاة طرفي النهار وزلفا من الليل ان الحسنات يذهبن السيئات ذلك ذكرى للذاكرين     waqm alSla+ Trfy alnhar wzlfa mn allyl an alHsnat yXhbn alsyYat Xlk Xkri llXakryn     And keep up the prayers to (the) ends/edges (of) the daytime (to) parts from the night from the night; that the goodnesses wipe off/eliminate the sins/crimes, that (is) a remembrance/reminder to the praising/glorifying.     You shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) at both ends of the day, and during the night. The righteous works wipe out the evil works. This is a reminder for those who would take heed.     And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night: For those things, that are good remove those that are evil: Be that the word of remembrance to those who remember (their Lord):
 
115.  *     واصبر فان الله لايضيع اجر المحسنين     waSbr fan allh layDy` ajr almHsnyn     And be patient, so then God does not waste/loose/destroy the good doers' reward/wage.     You shall steadfastly persevere, for GOD never fails to recompense the righteous.     And be steadfast in patience; for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish.
 
116.  *     فلولا كان من القرون من قبلكم اولوا بقية ينهون عن الفساد في الارض الا قليلا ممن انجينا منهم واتبع الذين ظلموا مااترفوا فيه وكانوا مجرمين     flwla kan mn alqrwn mn qblkm awlwa bqy+ ynhwn `n alfsad fy alarD ala qlyla mmn anjyna mnhm watb` alXyn Zlmwa maatrfwa fyh wkanwa mjrmyn     So where it not for (owners) of a remainder/remnant, from the generations/centuries from before you, (who were) forbidding/preventing from the corruption in the earth/Planet Earth, except a few from whom We saved/rescued from them; and those who caused injustice/oppression followed what they were luxuriated ungrateful and arrogant in it, and they were criminals/sinners.     If only some of those among the previous generations possessed enough intelligence to forbid evil! Only a few of them deserved to be saved by us. As for the transgressors, they were preoccupied with their material luxuries; they were guilty.     Why were there not, among the generations before you, persons possessed of balanced good sense, prohibiting (men) from mischief in the earth - except a few among them whom We saved (from harm)? But the wrong-doers pursued the enjoyment of the good things of life which were given them, and persisted in sin.
 
117.  *     وماكان ربك ليهلك القرى بظلم واهلها مصلحون     wmakan rbk lyhlk alqri bZlm wahlha mSlHwn     And your Lord was not to destroy the villages/urban cities with injustice/oppression and its people (are) correcting/repairing.     Your Lord never annihilates any community unjustly, while its people are righteous.     Nor would thy Lord be the One to destroy communities for a single wrong- doing, if its members were likely to mend.
 
118.  *     ولو شاء ربك لجعل الناس امة واحدة ولايزالون مختلفين     wlw $a' rbk lj`l alnas am+ waHd+ wlayzalwn mKtlfyn     And if your Lord willed/wanted He would have made the people one nation, and they still/continue differing/disagreeing.     Had your Lord willed, all the people would have been one congregation (of believers). But they will always dispute (the truth).     If thy Lord had so willed, He could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute.
 
119.  *     الا من رحم ربك ولذلك خلقهم وتمت كلمة ربك لاملان جهنم من الجنة والناس اجمعين     ala mn rHm rbk wlXlk Klqhm wtmt klm+ rbk lamlan jhnm mn aljn+ walnas ajm`yn     Except who your Lord had mercy upon and for that He created them, and your Lord's word/expression (is) completed: "I will fill (E) Hell from the Jinns and the people all together."     Only those blessed with mercy from your Lord (will not dispute the truth). This is why He created them. The judgment of your Lord has already been issued: "I will fill Hell with jinns and humans, all together."     Except those on whom thy Lord hath bestowed His Mercy: and for this did He create them: and the Word of thy Lord shall be fulfilled: "I will fill Hell with jinns and men all together."
 
120.  *     وكلا نقص عليك من انباء الرسل مانثبت به فؤادك وجاءك في هذه الحق وموعظة وذكرى للمؤمنين     wkla nqS `lyk mn anba' alrsl manxbt bh fWadk wja'k fy hXh alHq wmw`Z+ wXkri llmWmnyn     And all (every thing) We narrate/inform on (to) you from the messengers' information/news, what We strengthen with it your heart, and in this came to you the truth and a sermon/advise/warning, and a153remembrance/reminder to the believers.     We narrate to you enough history of the messengers to strengthen your heart. The truth has come to you herein, as well as enlightenments and reminders for the believers.     All that we relate to thee of the stories of the apostles,- with it We make firm thy heart: in them there cometh to thee the Truth, as well as an exhortation and a message of remembrance to those who believe.
 
121.  *     وقل للذين لايؤمنون اعملوا على مكانتكم انا عاملون     wql llXyn layWmnwn a`mlwa `li mkantkm ana `amlwn     And say to those who do not believe: "Make/do/work on your capacity/place/position, We are making/doing working."     Say to those who disbelieve, "Do whatever you can, and so will we.     Say to those who do not believe: "Do what ever ye can: We shall do our part;
 
122.  *     وانتظروا انا منتظرون     wantZrwa ana mntZrwn     And wait/expect/watch, We are waiting/expecting/watching.     "Then wait; we too will wait."     "And wait ye! We too shall wait."
 
123.  *     ولله غيب السماوات والارض واليه يرجع الامر كله فاعبده وتوكل عليه وماربك بغافل عما تعملون     wllh Gyb alsmawat walarD walyh yrj` alamr klh fa`bdh wtwkl `lyh wmarbk bGafl `ma t`mlwn     And to God (is) the skies'/space's and the earth's/Planet Earth's unseen/surpernatural, and to Him the matter/affair all of it is returned, so worship Him, and rely/depend on Him, and your Lord is not with ignoring/neglecting/disregarding from what you make/do     To GOD belongs the future of the heavens and the earth, and all matters are controlled by Him. You shall worship Him and trust in Him. Your Lord is never unaware of anything you do.     To Allah do belong the unseen (secrets) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him goeth back every affair (for decision): then worship Him, and put thy trust in Him: and thy Lord is not unmindful of aught that ye do.
