The blamers of those to be blamed.
|

So the preventing/deterring, preventing/deterring/ousting.

And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah.!

The reciters of the messages.

So the reading/reciting/following, mentioning/remembering.

Verily, verily, your Allah is one!-
|
|
Your god is only one.
|
|
That truly your Lord (is) one (E).
|

Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun!
|
|
The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, and Lord of the easts.
|
|
Lord (of) the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth and what (is) between them (B), and Lord (of) the sun rises/easts.
|
|

|
|

We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,-
|
|
We have adorned the lowest heaven with adorning planets.
|
|
That We decorated/beautified the sky/space (of) the present world with the stars'/planets' decoration/beauty.
|
|

|
|
7. * |
(For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits,
|
|
We guarded it from every evil devil.
|
|
And a protection/guarding from every/each rebellious/mutinous devil.
|
|

|
|
8. * |
(So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side,
|
|
They cannot spy on the High Society; they get bombarded from every side.
|
|
They do not hear/listen (E) to the nobles/assembly the highest/mightiest/most dignified, and they be thrown/hurled from every/each side/direction.
|
|

|
|
9. * |
Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty,
|
|
They have been condemned; they have incurred an eternal retribution.
|
|
Expelled/driven away, and for them (is) a permanent/continuous/lasting torture.
|
|

|
10. * |
Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness.
|
|
If any of them ventures to charge the outer limits, he gets struck with a fierce projectile.
|
|
Except who snatched the one snatch, so a light from a fire source/a star lit/ignited/penetrating followed him.
|
|

|

Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay!
|
|
Ask them, "Are they more difficult to create, or the other creations?" We created them from wet mud.
|
|
So ask/take their opinion, are they a stronger creation, or who We created? That We created them from very sticky mud/clay.

Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule,
|
|
While you are awed, they mock.
|
|
But you wondered/were astonished/were surprised, and they humiliate/mock/undermine/ridicule.

And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,-
|
|
When reminded, they take no heed.
|
|
And if they were reminded, they do not mention/remember.
|
|
waXa Xkrwa layXkrwn
|
|
14. * |
And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery,
|
|
When they see proof, they ridicule it.
|
|
And if they saw/understood an evidence/sign/verse, they humiliate/mock/ridicule/undermine.
|
|
waXa rawa ay+ ystsKrwn
|
|
15. * |
And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery!
|
|
They say, "This is obviously magic!
|
|
And they said: "That truly this (is) except clear/evident magic/sorcery.
|
|
wqalwa an hXa ala sHr mbyn
|
|
16. * |
"What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again)
|
|
"After we die and become dust and bones, do we get resurrected?
|
|
Is (it that) if we died and we were dust and bones, are we being resurrected/revived (E)?
|
|
'aXa mtna wkna traba w`Zama aYna lmb`wxwn
|
|
17. * |
"And also our fathers of old?"
|
|
"Even our ancient ancestors?"
|
|
Or our fathers the first/beginners?"
|
|
aw abaWna alawlwn
|
|
18. * |
Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)."
|
|
Say, "Yes, you will be forcibly summoned."
|
|
Say: "Yes, and you are degraded/lowly."
|
|
ql n`m wantm daKrwn
|
|
19. * |
Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see!
|
|
All it takes is one nudge, whereupon they (stand up) looking.
|
|
So but it is a one cry to drive out, so then they are looking/seeing.
|

|

They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!"
|
|
They will say, "Woe to us; this is the Day of Judgment."
|
|
And they said: "Oh our calamity/scandal that, it is the Judgment Day/Resurrection Day."

|
|

(A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!"
|
|
This is the day of decision that you used to disbelieve in.
|
|
That (is) the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day which you were with it lying/denying/falsifying.
|
|

|

"Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped-
|
|
Summon the transgressors, and their spouses, and the idols they worshiped
|
|
Gather those who were unjust/oppressive and their spouses, and what they were worshipping.
|
|
aH$rwa alXyn Zlmwa wazwajhm wmakanwa y`bdwn
|
|
23. * |
"Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire!
|
|
beside GOD, and guide them to the path of Hell.
|
|
From other than God, so guide them to the Hell's road/way.
|
|
mn dwn allh fahdwhm ali SraT aljHym
|
|
24. * |
"But stop them, for they must be asked:
|
|
Stop them, and ask them:
|
|
And stop/suspend them, that they are questioned.
|
|
wqfwhm anhm msWwlwn
|
|
25. * |
"'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'"
|
|
"Why do you not help one another?"
|
|
And what (is it) for you, you do not give victory/aid?
|
|
malkm latnaSrwn
|
|
26. * |
Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment);
|
|
They will be, on that day, totally submitting.
|
|
But they are the day/today submitting/surrendering.
|
|

|
|
27. * |
And they will turn to one another, and question one another.
|
|
They will come to each other, questioning and blaming one another.
|
|
And some of them approached/came on (to) some, they ask/question each other.
|
|
waqbl b`Dhm `li b`D ytsa'lwn
|
|
28. * |
They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!"
|
|
They will say (to their leaders), "You used to come to us from the right side."
|
|
They said: "That you were coming to us from the right (side)."
|
|
qalwa ankm kntm tatwnna `n alymyn
|
|
29. * |
They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith!
|
|
They will respond, "It is you who were not believers.
|
|
They said: "But you were not being believing."
|
|
qalwa bl lm tkwnwa mWmnyn
|
|
30. * |
"Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion!
|
|
"We never had any power over you; it is you who were wicked.
|
|
And (there) was not from power/control for us over you, but you were a tyrannizing/arrogant nation.
|
|
wmakan lna `lykm mn slTan bl kntm qwma TaGyn
|
|
31. * |
"So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins).
|
|
"We justly incurred our Lord's judgment; now we have to suffer.
|
|
So became deserved on us our Lord's word/saying, that we (are) tasting/experiencing.
|
|

|
|

"We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray."
|
|
"We misled you, only because we were astray."
|
|
So we misguided/lured you, that we were misguiding.
|
|
faGwynakm ana kna Gawyn
|
|
33. * |
Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty.
|
|
Thus, together they will all partake of the retribution on that day.
|
|
So then they are (on) that day in the torture sharing.
|
|
fanhm ywmYX fy al`Xab m$trkwn
|
|
34. * |
Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners.
|
|
This is how we requite the guilty.
|
|
We, like that, We make/do with the criminals/sinners.
|
|

|
|
35. * |
For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride,
|
|
When they were told, "Laa Elaaha Ella Allah [There is no other god beside GOD]," they turned arrogant.
|
|
That they truly were if (it) was said to them: "No God except god" they be arrogant.
|
|
anhm kanwa aXa qyl lhm laalh ala allh ystkbrwn
|
|
36. * |
And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?"
|
|
They said, "Shall we leave our gods for the sake of a crazy poet?"
|
|
And they say: "Are we to leave our gods to a mad/insane poet?"
|
|
wyqwlwn aYna ltarkwa alhtna l$a`r mjnwn
|
|
37. * |
Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the apostles (before him).
|
|
In fact, he has brought the truth, and has confirmed the messengers.
|
|
But He came with the truth and he confirmed the messengers.
|
|
bl ja' balHq wSdq almrslyn
|
|
38. * |
Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;-
|
|
Most assuredly, you will taste the most painful retribution.
|
|
That you are tasting/experiencing the torture, the painful.
|
|
ankm lXaYqwa al`Xab alalym
|
|
39. * |
But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;-
|
|
You are requited only for what you have done.
|
|
And you are not being reimbursed except (for) what you were making/doing/working.
|
|
wmatjzwn ala makntm t`mlwn
|
|
40. * |
But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,-
|
|
Only GOD's servants who are absolutely devoted to Him alone (will be saved).
|
|
Except God's worshippers/slaves, the faithful/loyal.
|
|
ala `bad allh almKlSyn
|
|
41. * |
For them is a Sustenance determined,
|
|
They have deserved provisions that are reserved specifically for them.
|
|
Those, for them (is) a known provision.
|
|

|
|
42. * |
Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity,
|
|
All kinds of fruits. They will be honored.
|
|
Fruits, and they are honoured.
|
|

|
|
43. * |
In Gardens of Felicity,
|
|
In the gardens of bliss.
|
|
In the blessed/comfort and ease treed gardens/paradises.
|
|

|
|
44. * |
Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity):
|
|
On furnishings close to one another.
|
|
On beds/sofas facing each other.
|
|
`li srr mtqablyn
|
|
45. * |
Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain,
|
|
Cups of pure drinks will be offered to them.
|
|
Being circled/walked around on them with a cup/container to drink from/wine from goodness.
|
|

|
|
46. * |
Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof),
|
|
Clear and delicious for the drinkers.
|
|
White (a) delight/pleasure to the drinking.
|
|

|
|
47. * |
Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom.
|
|
Never polluted, and never exhausted.
|
|
Destruction/intoxication (is) not in it, nor they be drunk/made to loose their minds/drained/exhausted from it.

|
|

And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty).
|
|
With them will be wonderful companions.
|
|
And at them the eye's/eyelid's confining/limiting/restricting big beautiful eyes.

|
|
49. * |
As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded.
|
|
Protected like fragile eggs.
|
|
As though they are (F) protected/covered whites/eggs.
|
|

|
|
50. * |
Then they will turn to one another and question one another.
|
|
They will come to each other, and confer with one another.
|
|
So some of them approached/came on (to) some, they ask/question each other.
|
|
faqbl b`Dhm `li b`D ytsa'lwn
|
|
51. * |
One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth),
|
|
One of them will say, "I used to have a friend.
|
|
A speaker from them said: "That I, (there) was for me (a) companion."
|
|
qal qaYl mnhm any kan ly qryn
|
|
52. * |
"Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)?
|
|
"He used to mock: `Do you believe all this?
|
|
He says: "You are (E) from the confirming/charity givers."
|
|
yqwl aYnk lmn almSdqyn
|
|
53. * |
"'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'"
|
|
" `After we die and turn into dust and bones, do we get called to account?' "
|
|
Is (it that) if we died, and we were dust and bones are we indebted (E)?
|
|
'aXa mtna wkna traba w`Zama aYna lmdynwn
|
|
54. * |
(A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?"
|
|
He will say, "Just take a look!"
|
|
He said: "Are you knowing/seeing/looking?"
|
|
qal hl antm mTl`wn
|
|
55. * |
He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire.
|
|
When he looks, he will see his friend in the heart of Hell.
|
|
So he looked/saw, so he saw him in the Hell's middle.
|
|

|
|
56. * |
He said: "By Allah. thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition!
|
|
He (will go to him and) say, "By GOD, you almost ruined me.
|
|
He said: "By God if you were about to to make me fall/ruin (E)."
|
|

|
|
57. * |
"Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)!
|
|
"If it were not for my Lord's blessing, I would have been with you now.
|
|
And where it not for my Lord's blessing/goodness I would have been from the made present/attending.

|
|
58. * |
"Is it (the case) that we shall not die,
|
|
"(Do you still believe) that we die,
|
|
So are we not with dying?
|
|
afma nHn bmytyn
|
|
59. * |
"Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?"
|
|
"only the first death, and we never receive any requital?"
|
|
Except our death/lifelessness the first/beginning, and we are not with being tortured.
|
|
ala mwttna alawli wmanHn bm`Xbyn
|
|
60. * |
Verily this is the supreme achievement!
|
|
Such is the greatest triumph.
|
|
That this it is (E) the winning/success the great.
|
|

|
|
61. * |
For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive.
|
|
This is what every worker should work for.
|
|
Similar/equal/alike to this, so the makers/doers/workers, should make/do/work.

|
lmxl hXa fly`ml al`amlwn
|
|
62. * |
Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum?
|
|
Is this a better destiny, or the tree of bitterness?
|
|
Is that a better place of descent or the deadly food's tree?
|
|
aXlk Kyr nzla am $jr+ alzqwm
|
|
63. * |
For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers.
|
|
We have rendered it a punishment for the transgressors.
|
|
That We made/put it (as) a test/charm to the unjust/oppressive.323
|
|
ana j`lnaha ftn+ llZalmyn
|
|
64. * |
For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire:
|
|
It is a tree that grows in the heart of Hell.
|
|
That it is a tree it emerges in the Hell's source/root.
|
|

|
|
65. * |
The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils:
|
|
Its flowers look like the devils' heads.
|
|
Its first fruit of the season as though it (is) the devils' heads/tops.
|
|
Tl`ha kanh rWws al$yaTyn
|
|
66. * |
Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith.
|
|
They will eat from it until their bellies are filled up.
|
|
So then they are eating exaggerated/gluttons from it, so they are filling from it the bellies/insides.
|
|
fanhm laklwn mnha fmalYwn mnha albTwn
|
|
67. * |
Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water.
|
|
Then they will top it with a hellish drink.
|
|
Then for them on it (is) a mixture/heat (E) from hot/cold water/red hot coal.
|
|
xm an lhm `lyha l$wba mn Hmym
|
|
68. * |
Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire.
|
|
Then they will return to Hell.
|
|
Then that their return (is) to (E) the Hell.
|
|
xm an mrj`hm lIli aljHym
|
|
69. * |
Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path;
|
|
They found their parents astray.
|
|
That they truly found their fathers misguided.
|
|
anhm alfwa aba'hm Dalyn
|
|
70. * |
So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps!
|
|
And they blindly followed in their footsteps.
|
|
So they are on their tracks/marks/signs rushing disturbedly.
|
|
fhm `li axarhm yhr`wn
|
|
71. * |
And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;-
|
|
Most of the previous generations have strayed in the same manner.
|
|
And most of the first/beginners had been (E) misguided before them.
|
|
wlqd Dl qblhm akxr alawlyn
|
|
72. * |
But We sent aforetime, among them, (apostles) to admonish them;-
|
|
We have sent to them warners.
|
|
And We had (E) sent in (between) them warners/givers of notice.
|
|
wlqd arslna fyhm mnXryn
|
|
73. * |
Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),-
|
|
Note the consequences for those who have been warned.
|
|
So look/see/wonder about how was the warned's/given notice's end/turn (result).
|
|

|
|
74. * |
Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah.
|
|
Only GOD's servants who are absolutely devoted to Him alone (are saved).
|
|
Except God's worshippers/slaves, the faithful/loyal/devoted.

|
|
75. * |
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer.
|
|
Thus, Noah called upon us, and we were the best responders.
|
|
And Noah had called/cried (to) Us, so blessed/praised (E) (are) the answerers/repliers.

|
|
76. * |
And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity,
|
|
We saved him and his family from the great disaster.
|
|
And We saved/rescued him and his family/relation from the grief, hardship and suffering the great.
|
|
wnjynah wahlh mn alkrb al`Zym
|
|
77. * |
And made his progeny to endure (on this earth);
|
|
We made his companions the survivors.
|
|
And We made/put his descendants, they are the remaining.
|
|
wj`lna Xryth hm albaqyn
|
|
78. * |
And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times:
|
|
And we preserved his history for subsequent generations.
|
|
And We left on him in the lasts.
|
|
wtrkna `lyh fy alaKryn
|
|
79. * |
"Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!"
|
|
Peace be upon Noah among the peoples.
|
|
Peace/security on Noah in the creations are together/(universes).
|
|

|
|
80. * |
Thus indeed do we reward those who do right.
|
|
We thus reward the righteous.
|
|
We (E) like that, We reimburse the good doers.
|
|

|
|
81. * |
For he was one of our believing Servants.
|
|
He is one of our believing servants.
|
|
That he truly is from Our worshippers/slaves, the believers.
|
|

|
|
82. * |
Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood.
|
|
We drowned all the others.
|
|
Then We drowned/sunk the others/lasts.
|
|
xm aGrqna alaKryn
|
|
83. * |
Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham.
|
|
Among his followers was Abraham.
|
|
And that truly from his group/party/follower (was) Abraham (E).
|

|
|
84. * |
Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart.
|
|
He came to his Lord wholeheartedly.
|
|
When he came (to) his Lord with a sound/safe heart/mind.
|
|

|
|
85. * |
Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship?
|
|
He said to his father and his people, "What are you worshiping?
|
|
When he said to his father and nation: "What (do) you worship?"
|
|
aX qal labyh wqwmh maXa t`bdwn
|
|
86. * |
"Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah. that ye desire?
|
|
"Is it these fabricated gods, instead of GOD, that you want?
|
|
Are falsified gods from other than God (what) you want/intend ?
|
|
aYfka alh+ dwn allh trydwn
|
|
87. * |
"Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?"
|
|
"What do you think of the Lord of the universe?"
|
|
So what (is) your thought/assumption with (about) the creations all together's/ (universes') Lord?

|
|
88. * |
Then did he cast a glance at the Stars.
|
|
He looked carefully at the stars.
|
|
So he looked/saw a glance/consideration in the stars/planets.
|
|

|
|
89. * |
And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!"
|
|
Then he gave up and said, "I am tired of this!"
|
|
So he said: "That I am sick/ill."
|
|

|

So they turned away from him, and departed.
|
|
They turned away from him.
|
|
So they turned away from him giving their backs.
|
|

Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?...
|
|
He then turned on their idols, saying, "Would you like to eat?
|
|
So he conned his way to their gods, so he said: "Do you not eat?"

|
|
92. * |
"What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?"
|
|
"Why do you not speak?"
|
|
Why for you, you do not speak?
|
|

|
|
93. * |
Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand.
|
|
He then destroyed them.
|
|
So he conned his way on them moving/striking with the right (hand).
|
|

|
|
94. * |
Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him).
|
|
They went to him in a great rage.
|
|
So they (his nation) approached/came to him hurrying/hastening.
|
|
faqblwa alyh yzfwn
|
|
95. * |
He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved?
|
|
He said, "How can you worship what you carve?
|
|
He said: "Do you worship what you carve out/cut ?"
|
|
qal at`bdwn matnHtwn
|
|
96. * |
"But Allah has created you and your handwork!"
|
|
"When GOD has created you, and everything you make!"
|
|
And God created you and what you make/do ?
|
|
wallh Klqkm wmat`mlwn
|
|
97. * |
They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!"
|
|
They said, "Let us build a great fire, and throw him into it."
|
|
They said: "Build/construct for him a building/structure, so throw him away in the place of intense heat/roaring fire."324
|
|
qalwa abnwa lh bnyana falqwh fy aljHym
|
|
98. * |
(This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated!
|
|
They schemed against him, but we made them the losers.
|
|

He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me!

He said, "I am going to my Lord; He will guide me."
|
|
And he said: "That I am going/going away to my Lord, he will guide me."

"O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!"
|
|
"My Lord, grant me righteous children."
|
|
My Lord grant/present (for) me from the correct/righteous.

So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear.
|
|
We gave him good news of a good child.
|
|
So We announced good news to him with a clement boy.
|

Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"

When he grew enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I see in a dream that I am sacrificing you. What do you think?" He said, "O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, GOD willing, patient."
|
|
So when he reached the struggle/endeavor with him, he said you my son: "That I, I see/understand in the sleep/dream that I, I slaughter you/cut your throat, so look/wonder about/consider what you see/understand." He said: "You my father, make/do what you are being ordered/commanded, so you will find me, if God wills/wants from the patient."

So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah., and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice),

They both submitted, and he put his forehead down (to sacrifice him).

So when they (B) submitted/surrounded and he pulled/pushed/followed him to the foreheads.

We called out to him "O Abraham!
|
|
We called him: "O Abraham.
|
|
And We called him: "That you Abraham."

"Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right.
|
|
"You have believed the dream." We thus reward the righteous.
|
|
You had confirmed the dream, We (E), like that We reimburse the good doers.

For this was obviously a trial-
|
|
That was an exacting test indeed.
|
|
That truly that it is (E) the test, the clear/evident.

And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice:

|
We ransomed (Ismail) by substituting an animal sacrifice.
|
|
And We substituted him with a great slaughtered (animal).

And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times:
|
|
And we preserved his history for subsequent generations.
|

And We left on him in the others/lasts.

"Peace and salutation to Abraham!"
|
|
Peace be upon Abraham.
|
|
Safety/security/greeting on Abraham.

We thus reward the righteous.

As/like that We reimburse the good doers.

For he was one of our believing Servants.

He is one of our believing servants.

That he truly is from Our worshippers/slaves the believers.

And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous.
|
|
Then we gave him the good news about the birth of Isaac, to be one of the righteous prophets.

And We announced good news to him (of) Isaac a prophet from the correct/righteous.

|

We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls.

|
We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants, some are righteous, and some are wicked transgressors.

|
And We blessed on him and on Isaac, and from their (B)'s descendants, (are) good doers, and (a) clear/evident unjust/oppressive to himself.

Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron,
|
|
We also blessed Moses and Aaron.

And We had blessed on Moses and Aaron.

And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity;
|
|
We delivered them and their people from the great disaster.
|
|
And We saved/rescued them (B) and their (B)'s nation from the grief/hardship and suffering, the great.

|
|
116. * |
And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles);
|
|
We supported them, until they became the winners.
|
|
And We gave them victory, so they were, they, the defeators/conquerors.

|

|
|
117. * |
And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear;
|
|
We gave both of them the profound scripture.
|
|
And We gave/brought them (B) The Book, the clear/evident.

And We guided them to the Straight Way.
|
|
We guided them in the right path.
|
|
And We guided them (B) the road/way, the straight/direct.

We preserved their history for subsequent generations.

Peace be upon Moses and Aaron.

For they were two of our believing Servants.

Both of them were among our righteous servants.

That they truly are from Our worshippers/slaves the believers.

So also was Elias among those sent (by Us).

|
Elias was one of the messengers.
|
|
And that Elias (is) from (E) the messengers.

Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear ((Allah))?
|
|
He said to his people, "Would you not work righteousness?
|
|
When he said to his nation: "Do you not fear and obey?"

"Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,-
|
|
"Do you worship a statue, instead of the Supreme Creator?
|
|
Do you call an idol statue/master, and you leave the creator's best ?

|
126. * |
"(Allah), your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?"
|
|
"GOD; your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers!"
|
|
God (is) your Lord, and your fathers'/forefathers' lord the first/beginners.

But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),-
|
|
They disbelieved him. Consequently, they had to be called to account.
|

So they lied/denied/falsified him, so they truly are being made to be present/attend (E).

|

Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them).
|
|
Only GOD's servants who are absolutely devoted to Him alone (are saved).

Peace be upon Elias, and all those like Elias.

So also was Lut among those sent (by Us).

Lot was one of the messengers.
|

And that truly Lot (was) from (E) the messengers.

Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all

We saved him and all his family.
|
|
When We saved/rescued him and his family/people all/all together.

Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind:

Only the old woman was doomed.
|
|
Except old/weak (his wife was) in the remaining behind.

Then We destroyed the rest.
|
|
We annihilated all the others.
|
|
Then We destroyed the others/lasts.

Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day-
|
|
You still pass by their ruins by day.
|
|
And that you, you pass (E) on them in the morning/day break.

And by night: will ye not understand?
|
|
And by night. Would you understand?
|
|
And at the night, so do you not reason/understand/comprehend?

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us).

Jonah was one of the messengers.
|
|
And that truly Jonah (was) from (E) the messengers.

When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden,
|
|
He escaped to the loaded ship.
|
|
When he escaped/took shelter to the ship/ships, the full/loaded.

He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned:
|
|
He rebelled and thus, he joined the losers.
|
|
So he drew lots with (gambled), so he was from the annulled/slipped.

Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame.
|
|
Consequently, the fish swallowed him, and he was the one to blame.
|
|
So the large fish/whale swallowed/swallowed him quickly, and (while) he is blameworthy/blamed.

Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah,
|
|
If it were not that he resorted to meditation (on God),
|
|
So had it not been for that he (was) from the praising/glorifying.

He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection.
|
|
he would have stayed in its belly until the Day of Resurrection.
|
|
He would have stayed/remained in its belly/inside to a day/time they be sent/resurrected/revived.

|
|
145. * |
But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness,
|
|
We had him thrown up into the desert, exhausted.
|
|
So We casted him off/discarded him at the open space and (while) he is sick/ill.

|
|
146. * |
And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind.
|
|
We had a tree of edible fruit grown for him.
|
|
And We sprouted/grew on him a tree from a plant without a stem/squashes and cucumbers.

|
|

And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more.
|
|
Then we sent him to a hundred thousand, or more.
|
|
And We sent him to one hundred thousand or they increase/exceed.

|
148. * |
And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while.
|
|
They did believe, and we let them enjoy this life.
|
|
So they believed, so We gave them long life/made them enjoy to a time/period of time.

Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?-
|
|
Ask them if your Lord have daughters, while they have sons!
|
|
So ask/take their opinion is to your Lord the daughters, and for them (are) the sons ?

Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)?
|
|
Did we create the angels to be females? Did they witness that?
|
|
Or We created the angels (as) females and they are witnessing/testifying.

|
151. * |
Is it not that they say, from their own invention,
|
|
Indeed, they grossly blaspheme when they say -
|
|
Is (it) not that they truly are from their lies/falsehood, they say (E):

|
|
152. * |
"(Allah) has begotten children"? but they are liars!
|
|
"GOD has begotten a son." Indeed, they are liars.
|
|
God gave birth. And that they truly are lying/denying/falsifying (E).

Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons?
|
|
Did He choose the girls over the boys?
|
|
He chose/purified the daughters on/over the sons.

What is the matter with you? How judge ye?
|
|
What is wrong with your logic?
|
|
What (is) for you how you judge/rule?

Will ye not then receive admonition?

Why do you not take heed?
|
|
Do you not mention/remember ?
|
|

|
156. * |
Or have ye an authority manifest?
|
|
Do you have any proof?
|
|
Or for you (is) a clear/evident proof/evidence ?

|
157. * |
Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful!
|
|
Show us your book, if you are truthful.
|
|
So come/bring with your Book if you were truthful.
|

158. * |
And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment- Seat)!
|
|
They even invented a special relationship between Him and the jinns. The jinns themselves know that they are subservient.
|
|
And they made/put between Him and between the Jinns (a) relationship/kinship and the Jinns had (E) known that they truly are being made to be present/attend (E).

Glory to Allah. (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)!

GOD be glorified; far above their claims.

Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted.
|
|
Only GOD's servants who are devoted to Him alone (are saved).
|

Except God's worshippers/slaves, the faithful/loyal/devoted.

For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship-
|
|
Indeed, you and what you worship.
|
|
So you truly are, and what you worship.

Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah,
|
|
Cannot impose anything on Him.
|
|
You are not on Him/it with charming/misguiding.

Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire!
|
|
Only you will burn in Hell.
|
|
Except whom he is entering into fire/roasting the Hell 326

(Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed;
|
|
Each one of us has a specific job.
|
|
(The angels say): "And none for Us except for him (is) a known place and time/position/status."

|
165. * |
"And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service);
|
|
We are the arrangers.
|
|
And that We, We are (E) the liners/arrangers.

|
166. * |
"And we are verily those who declare ((Allah)'s) glory!"
|
|
We have duly glorified (our Lord).
|
|
And that We, We are (E) the praising/glorifying.
|
|

|
|

And there were those who said,
|
|
They used to say,
|
|
And if they (the disbelievers) were saying (E):
|
|
wan kanwa lyqwlwn
|
|
168. * |
"If only we had had before us a Message from those of old,
|
|
"Had we received the correct instructions from our parents,
|
|
If that (E) at us (is) a reminder/remembrance from the first/beginners.
|
|
lw an `ndna Xkra mn alawlyn
|
|
169. * |
"We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!"
|
|
"we would have been worshipers; devoted to GOD alone."
|
|
We would have been God's worshippers/slaves, the faithful/loyal/devoted.
|
|
lkna `bad allh almKlSyn
|
|
170. * |
But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know!
|
|
But they disbelieved, and they will surely find out.
|
|
So they disbelieved with (in) Him, so they will know.
|

|

Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us),
|
|
Our decision is already decreed for our servants the messengers.
|
|
And Our words/expressions/speech had (E) preceded to Our worshippers/slaves the messengers.

|

That they would certainly be assisted,
|
|
They are surely the victors.
|
|
That they truly, they are (E) the victorious.

|

And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer.
|
|
Our soldiers are the winners.
|
|
And that (E) Our soldiers/warriors, they are (E) the defeators/conquerors.

|

So turn thou away from them for a little while,
|
|
So disregard them for awhile.
|
|
So turn away from them until a time/period of time.
|
|

And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)!
|
|
Watch them; they too will watch.
|
|
And make them see/understand, so they will/shall see/look/understand.

Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment?
|
|
Do they challenge our retribution?
|
|
Are they with Our torture urging/hastening.

But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)!
|
|
When it hits them one day, it will be a miserable day; they have been sufficiently warned.
|
|
So if it (the torture) descended at their court/yard, so it became (a) bad/evil/harmful morning/day break (of) the warned/given notice.

So turn thou away from them for a little while,
|
|
Disregard them for awhile.
|
|
And turn away from them until a time/period of time.

|

And see/understand, so they will see/understand.

Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)!

Glory be to your Lord, the great Lord; far above their claims.

Your Lord's praise/glory, Lord (of) the glory/might/power about what they describe/categorize.

And Peace on the apostles!

|
Peace be upon the messengers.
|
|
And a safety/security/greeting on the messengers.

And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds.

Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe.
|
|
And the praise/gratitude (is) to God, the creations all together's/(universes') Lord.327
