1.    וידבר  יהוה  אל־משה 
לאמר׃
    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,     Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,     And the Lord said to Moses,
 
2.    ראה  קראתי  בשם 
בצלאל  בן־אורי
בן־חור  למטה
יהודה׃
    See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:     "Behold, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:     I have made selection of Bezalel, the son of Uri, by name, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
 
3.    ואמלא  אתו  רוח 
אלהים  בחכמה
ובתבונה  ובדעת
ובכל־מלאכה׃
    And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,     and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,     And I have given him the spirit of God and made him wise and full of knowledge and expert in every sort of handwork,
 
4.    לחשב  מחשבת  לעשות 
בזהב  ובכסף
ובנחשת׃
    To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,     to devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,     To do all sorts of delicate work in gold and silver and brass;
 
5.    ובחרשת  אבן  למלאת 
ובחרשת  עץ  לעשות
בכל־מלאכה׃
    And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.     and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of workmanship.     In cutting stones for framing, and to do every form of woodwork.
 
6.    ואני  הנה  נתתי  אתו 
את  אהליאב
בן־אחיסמך  למטה־דן
ובלב  כל־חכם־לב
נתתי  חכמה  ועשו  את
כל־אשר  צויתך׃
    And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;     I, behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all who are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you:     And I have made selection of Oholiab with him, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are wise I have put the knowledge to make whatever I have given you orders to have made;
 
7.    את  אהל  מועד 
ואת־הארן  לעדת
ואת־הכפרת  אשר
עליו  ואת  כל־כלי
האהל׃
    The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,     the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the testimony, the mercy seat that is on it, all the furniture of the Tent,     The Tent of meeting, and the ark of the law, and the cover which is on it, and all the things for the tent,
 
8.    ואת־השלחן 
ואת־כליו
ואת־המנרה  הטהרה
ואת־כל־כליה  ואת
מזבח  הקטרת׃
    And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,     the table and its vessels, the pure lampstand with all its vessels, the altar of incense,     And the table with its vessels, and the holy light-support with all its vessels, and the altar for the burning of spices,
 
9.    ואת־מזבח  העלה 
ואת־כל־כליו
ואת־הכיור
ואת־כנו׃
    And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,     the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels, the basin and its base,     And the altar of burned offerings with all its vessels, and the washing-vessel with its base,
 
10.    ואת  בגדי  השרד 
ואת־בגדי  הקדש
לאהרן  הכהן
ואת־בגדי  בניו
לכהן׃
    And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office,     the finely worked garments--the holy garments for Aaron the priest--the garments of his sons to minister in the priest's office,     And the robes of needlework, the holy robes for Aaron and for his sons, for their use when acting as priests,
 
11.    ואת  שמן  המשחה 
ואת־קטרת  הסמים
לקדש  ככל
אשר־צויתך  יעשו׃
    And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.     the anointing oil, and the incense of sweet spices for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded you they shall do."     And the holy oil, and the perfume of sweet spices for the holy place; they will do whatever I have given you orders to have done.
 
12.    ויאמר  יהוה  אל־משה 
לאמר׃
    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,     Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,     And the Lord said to Moses,
 
13.    ואתה  דבר  אל־בני 
ישראל  לאמר  אך
את־שבתתי  תשמרו  כי
אות  הוא  ביני
וביניכם  לדרתיכם
לדעת  כי  אני  יהוה
מקדשכם׃
    Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.     "Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, 'Most certainly you shall keep my Sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies you.     Say to the children of Israel that they are to keep my Sabbaths; for the Sabbath day is a sign between me and you through all your generations; so that you may see that I am the Lord who makes you holy.
 
14.    ושמרתם  את־השבת  כי 
קדש  הוא  לכם
מחלליה  מות  יומת
כי  כל־העשה  בה
מלאכה  ונכרתה  הנפש
ההוא  מקרב  עמיה׃
    Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.     You shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.     So you are to keep the Sabbath as a holy day; and anyone not honouring it will certainly be put to death: whoever does any work on that day will be cut off from his people.
 
15.    ששת  ימים  יעשה 
מלאכה  וביום
השביעי  שבת  שבתון
קדש  ליהוה  כל־העשה
מלאכה  ביום  השבת
מות  יומת׃
    Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.     Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to Yahweh. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.     Six days may work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death.
 
16.    ושמרו  בני־ישראל 
את־השבת  לעשות
את־השבת  לדרתם
ברית  עולם׃
    Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.     Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.     And the children of Israel are to keep the Sabbath holy, from generation to generation, by an eternal agreement.
 
17.    ביני  ובין  בני 
ישראל  אות  הוא
לעלם  כי־ששת  ימים
עשה  יהוה  את־
השמים  ואת־הארץ
וביום  השביעי  שבת
וינפש׃
    It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.     It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.'"     It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever; because in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he took his rest and had pleasure in it.
 
18.    ויתן  אל־משה  ככלתו 
לדבר  אתו  בהר  סיני
שני  לחת  העדת  לחת
אבן  כתבים  באצבע
אלהים׃
    And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.     He gave to Moses, when he finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets, written with God's finger.     And when his talk with Moses on Mount Sinai was ended, he gave him the two stones of the law, two stones on which was the writing made by the finger of God.
