2.    All the king's servants who were in the king's gate bowed down, and paid homage to Haman; for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai didn't bow down or pay him homage.     And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him.     VYHY B'aMUrM 'aLYV YVM VYVM VL'a ShM'y 'aLYHM VYGYDV LHMN LUr'aVTh HY'yMDV DBUrY MUrDKY KY-HGYD LHM 'aShUr-HV'a YHVDY.     And it cometh to pass, in their speaking unto him, day by day, and he hath not hearkened unto them, that they declare it to Haman, to see whether the words of Mordecai do stand, for he hath declared to them that he is a Jew.     cumque hoc crebrius dicerent et ille nollet audire nuntiaverunt Aman scire cupientes utrum perseveraret in sententia dixerat enim eis se esse Iudaeum
 
5.    When Haman saw that Mordecai didn't bow down, nor pay him homage, Haman was full of wrath.     And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.     וירא  המן  כי־אין 
מרדכי  כרע  ומשתחוה
לו  וימלא  המן  חמה׃

6.    But he scorned the thought of laying hands on Mordecai alone, for they had made known to him Mordecai's people. Therefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even Mordecai's people.     And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.     ויבז  בעיניו  לשלח

    VYBZ B'yYNYV LShLCh YD BMUrDKY LBDV KY-HGYDV LV 'aTh-'yM MUrDKY VYBQSh HMN LHShMYD 'aTh-KL-HYHVDYM 'aShUr BKL-MLKVTh 'aChShVUrVSh 'yM MUrDKY.     and it is contemptible in his eyes to put forth a hand on Mordecai by himself, for they have declared to him the people of Mordecai, and Haman seeketh to destroy all the Jews who are in all the kingdom of Ahasuerus -- the people of Mordecai.     et pro nihilo duxit in unum Mardocheum mittere manus suas audierat enim quod esset gentis iudaeae magisque voluit omnem Iudaeorum qui erant in regno Asueri perdere nationem

8.    Haman said to King Ahasuerus, "There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom, and their laws are different than other people's. They don't keep the king's laws. Therefore it is not for the king's profit to allow them to remain.     And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not for the king's profit to suffer them.     ויאמר  המן  למלך 
אחשורוש  ישנו
עם־אחד  מפזר  ומפרד
בין  העמים  בכל
מדינות  מלכותך
ודתיהם  שנות
מכל־עם  ואת־דתי
המלך  אינם  עשים
ולמלך  אין־שוה

    VY'aMUr HMN LMLK 'aChShVUrVSh YShNV 'yM-'aChD MPhZUr VMPhUrD BYN H'yMYM BKL MDYNVTh MLKVThK VDThYHM ShNVTh MKL-'yM V'aTh-DThY HMLK 'aYNM 'yShYM VLMLK 'aYN-ShVH LHNYChM.     And Haman saith to the king Ahasuerus, `There is one people scattered and separated among the peoples, in all provinces of thy kingdom, and their laws are diverse from all people, and the laws of the king they are not doing, and for the king it is not profitable to suffer them;     dixitque Aman regi Asuero est populus per omnes provincias regni tui dispersus et a se mutuo separatus novis utens legibus et caerimoniis insuper et regis scita contemnens et optime nosti quod non expediat regno tuo ut insolescat per licentiam
 
9.    If it pleases the king, let it be written that they be destroyed; and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those who are in charge of the king's business, to bring it into the king's treasuries."     If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the king's treasuries.     אם־על־המלך  טוב

11.    The king said to Haman, "The silver is given to you, the people also, to do with them as it seems good to you."     And the king said unto Haman, The silver is given to thee, the people also, to do with them as it seemeth good to thee.     ויאמר  המלך  להמן

12.    Then the king's scribes were called in on the first month, on the thirteenth day of the month; and all that Haman commanded was written to the king's satraps, and to the governors who were over every province, and to the princes of every people, to every province according its writing, and to every people in their language. It was written in the name of King Ahasuerus, and it was sealed with the king's ring.     Then were the king's scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring.     ויקראו  ספרי  המלך
