1.    Then Yahweh said to Moses, "Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, 'This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, that they may serve me.     Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.     ויאמר  יהוה  אל־משה 
בא  אל־פרעה  ודברת
אליו  כה־אמר  יהוה
אלהי  העברים  שלח
את־עמי  ויעבדני׃
    VY'aMUr YHVH 'aL-MShH B'a 'aL-PhUr'yH VDBUrTh 'aLYV KH-'aMUr YHVH 'aLHY H'yBUrYM ShLCh 'aTh-'yMY VY'yBDNY.     And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go in unto Pharaoh, and thou hast spoken unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve me,     dixit autem Dominus ad Mosen ingredere ad Pharaonem et loquere ad eum haec dicit Dominus Deus Hebraeorum dimitte populum meum ut sacrificet mihi
 
2.    For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,     For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,     כי  אם־מאן  אתה 
לשלח  ועודך  מחזיק
בם׃
    KY 'aM-M'aN 'aThH LShLCh V'yVDK MChZYQ BM.     for, if thou art refusing to send away, and art still keeping hold upon them,     quod si adhuc rennuis et retines eos
 
3.    behold, the hand of Yahweh is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.     Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.     הנה  יד־יהוה  הויה 
במקנך  אשר  בשדה
בסוסים  בחמרים
בגמלים  בבקר  ובצאן
דבר  כבד  מאד׃
    HNH YD-YHVH HVYH BMQNK 'aShUr BShDH BSVSYM BChMUrYM BGMLYM BBQUr VBTSh'aN DBUr KBD M'aD.     lo, the hand of Jehovah is on thy cattle which are in the field, on horses, on asses, on camels, on herd, and on flock -- a pestilence very grievous.     ecce manus mea erit super agros tuos et super equos et asinos et camelos et boves et oves pestis valde gravis
 
4.    Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and there shall nothing die of all that belongs to the children of Israel."'"     And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.     והפלה  יהוה  בין 
מקנה  ישראל  ובין
מקנה  מצרים  ולא
ימות  מכל־לבני
ישראל  דבר׃
    VHPhLH YHVH BYN MQNH YShUr'aL VBYN MQNH MTShUrYM VL'a YMVTh MKL-LBNY YShUr'aL DBUr.     `And Jehovah hath separated between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, and there doth not die a thing of all the sons of Israel`s;     et faciet Dominus mirabile inter possessiones Israhel et possessiones Aegyptiorum ut nihil omnino intereat ex his quae pertinent ad filios Israhel
 
5.    Yahweh appointed a set time, saying, "Tomorrow Yahweh shall do this thing in the land."     And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.     וישם  יהוה  מועד 
לאמר  מחר  יעשה
יהוה  הדבר  הזה
בארץ׃
    VYShM YHVH MV'yD L'aMUr MChUr Y'yShH YHVH HDBUr HZH B'aUrTSh.     and Jehovah setteth an appointed time, saying, To-morrow doth Jehovah do this thing in the land.`     constituitque Dominus tempus dicens cras faciet Dominus verbum istud in terra
 
6.    Yahweh did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died.     And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.     ויעש  יהוה  את־הדבר 
הזה  ממחרת  וימת  כל
מקנה  מצרים  וממקנה
בני־  ישראל  לא־מת
אחד׃
    VY'ySh YHVH 'aTh-HDBUr HZH MMChUrTh VYMTh KL MQNH MTShUrYM VMMQNH BNY- YShUr'aL L'a-MTh 'aChD.     And Jehovah doth this thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt die, and of the cattle of the sons of Israel not one hath died;     fecit ergo Dominus verbum hoc altero die mortuaque sunt omnia animantia Aegyptiorum de animalibus vero filiorum Israhel nihil omnino periit
 
7.    Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn't let the people go.     And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.     וישלח  פרעה  והנה 
לא־מת  ממקנה  ישראל
עד־אחד  ויכבד  לב
פרעה  ולא  שלח
את־העם׃
    VYShLCh PhUr'yH VHNH L'a-MTh MMQNH YShUr'aL 'yD-'aChD VYKBD LB PhUr'yH VL'a ShLCh 'aTh-H'yM.     and Pharaoh sendeth, and lo, not even one of the cattle of Israel hath died, and the heart of Pharaoh is hard, and he hath not sent the people away.     et misit Pharao ad videndum nec erat quicquam mortuum de his quae possidebat Israhel ingravatumque est cor Pharaonis et non dimisit populum
 
8.    Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, "Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.     And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.     ויאמר  יהוה  אל־משה 
ואל־אהרן  קחו  לכם
מלא  חפניכם  פיח
כבשן  וזרקו  משה
השמימה  לעיני
פרעה׃
    VY'aMUr YHVH 'aL-MShH V'aL-'aHUrN QChV LKM ML'a ChPhNYKM PhYCh KBShN VZUrQV MShH HShMYMH L'yYNY PhUr'yH.     And Jehovah saith unto Moses and unto Aaron, `Take to you the fulness of your hands of soot of a furnace, and Moses hath sprinkled it towards the heavens, before the eyes of Pharaoh,     et dixit Dominus ad Mosen et Aaron tollite plenas manus cineris de camino et spargat illud Moses in caelum coram Pharao
 
9.    It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with boils on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt."     And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.     והיה  לאבק  על 
כל־ארץ  מצרים  והיה
על־האדם  ועל־הבהמה
לשחין  פרח  אבעבעת
בכל־ארץ  מצרים׃
    VHYH L'aBQ 'yL KL-'aUrTSh MTShUrYM VHYH 'yL-H'aDM V'yL-HBHMH LShChYN PhUrCh 'aB'yB'yTh BKL-'aUrTSh MTShUrYM.     and it hath become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and it hath become on man and on cattle a boil breaking forth with blains, in all the land of Egypt.`     sitque pulvis super omnem terram Aegypti erunt enim in hominibus et in iumentis vulnera et vesicae turgentes in universa terra Aegypti
 
10.    They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became a boil breaking forth with boils on man and on animal.     And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.     ויקחו  את־פיח 
הכבשן  ויעמדו  לפני
פרעה  ויזרק  אתו
משה  השמימה  ויהי
שחין  אבעבעת  פרח
באדם  ובבהמה׃
    VYQChV 'aTh-PhYCh HKBShN VY'yMDV LPhNY PhUr'yH VYZUrQ 'aThV MShH HShMYMH VYHY ShChYN 'aB'yB'yTh PhUrCh B'aDM VBBHMH.     And they take the soot of the furnace, and stand before Pharaoh, and Moses sprinkleth it towards the heavens, and it is a boil with blains, breaking forth, on man and on beast;     tuleruntque cinerem de camino et steterunt contra Pharao et sparsit illud Moses in caelum factaque sunt vulnera vesicarum turgentium in hominibus et in iumentis
 
11.    The magicians couldn't stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians, and on all the Egyptians.     And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.     ולא־יכלו  החרטמים 
לעמד  לפני  משה
מפני  השחין  כי־היה
השחין  בחרטמם
ובכל־מצרים׃
    VL'a-YKLV HChUrTMYM L'yMD LPhNY MShH MPhNY HShChYN KY-HYH HShChYN BChUrTMM VBKL-MTShUrYM.     and the scribes have not been able to stand before Moses, because of the boil, for the boil hath been on the scribes, and on all the Egyptians.     nec poterant malefici stare coram Mosen propter vulnera quae in illis erant et in omni terra Aegypti
 
12.    Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn't listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken to Moses.     And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.     ויחזק  יהוה  את־לב 
פרעה  ולא  שמע  אלהם
כאשר  דבר  יהוה
אל־משה׃
    VYChZQ YHVH 'aTh-LB PhUr'yH VL'a ShM'y 'aLHM K'aShUr DBUr YHVH 'aL-MShH.     And Jehovah strengtheneth the heart of Pharaoh, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses.     induravitque Dominus cor Pharaonis et non audivit eos sicut locutus est Dominus ad Mosen
 
13.    Yahweh said to Moses, "Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, 'This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, that they may serve me.     And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.     ויאמר  יהוה  אל־משה 
השכם  בבקר  והתיצב
לפני  פרעה  ואמרת
אליו  כה־  אמר  יהוה
אלהי  העברים  שלח
את־עמי  ויעבדני׃
    VY'aMUr YHVH 'aL-MShH HShKM BBQUr VHThYTShB LPhNY PhUr'yH V'aMUrTh 'aLYV KH- 'aMUr YHVH 'aLHY H'yBUrYM ShLCh 'aTh-'yMY VY'yBDNY.     And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Rise early in the morning, and station thyself before Pharaoh, and thou hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Send My people away, and they serve Me,     dixit quoque Dominus ad Mosen mane consurge et sta coram Pharao et dices ad eum haec dicit Dominus Deus Hebraeorum dimitte populum meum ut sacrificet mihi
 
14.    For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.     For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.     כי  בפעם  הזאת  אני 
שלח  את־כל־מגפתי
אל־לבך  ובעבדיך
ובעמך  בעבור  תדע
כי  אין  כמני
בכל־הארץ׃
    KY BPh'yM HZ'aTh 'aNY ShLCh 'aTh-KL-MGPhThY 'aL-LBK VB'yBDYK VB'yMK B'yBVUr ThD'y KY 'aYN KMNY BKL-H'aUrTSh.     for, at this time I am sending all My plagues unto thy heart, and on thy servants, and on thy people, so that thou knowest that there is none like Me in all the earth,     quia in hac vice mittam omnes plagas meas super cor tuum super servos tuos et super populum tuum ut scias quod non sit similis mei in omni terra
 
15.    For now I would have put forth my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;     For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.     כי  עתה  שלחתי 
את־ידי  ואך  אותך
ואת־עמך  בדבר
ותכחד  מן־הארץ׃
    KY 'yThH ShLChThY 'aTh-YDY V'aK 'aVThK V'aTh-'yMK BDBUr VThKChD MN-H'aUrTSh.     for now I have put forth My hand, and I smite thee, and thy people, with pestilence, and thou art hidden from the earth.     nunc enim extendens manum percutiam te et populum tuum peste peribisque de terra
 
16.    but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth;     And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.     ואולם  בעבור  זאת 
העמדתיך  בעבור
הראתך  את־כחי
ולמען  ספר  שמי
בכל־  הארץ׃
    V'aVLM B'yBVUr Z'aTh H'yMDThYK B'yBVUr HUr'aThK 'aTh-KChY VLM'yN SPhUr ShMY BKL- H'aUrTSh.     `And yet for this I have caused thee to stand, so as to show thee My power, and for the sake of declaring My Name in all the earth;     idcirco autem posui te ut ostendam in te fortitudinem meam et narretur nomen meum in omni terra
 
17.    as you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won't let them go.     As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?     עודך  מסתולל  בעמי 
לבלתי  שלחם׃
    'yVDK MSThVLL B'yMY LBLThY ShLChM.     still thou art exalting thyself against My people -- so as not to send them away;     adhuc retines populum meum et non vis eum dimittere
 
18.    Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.     Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.     הנני  ממטיר  כעת 
מחר  ברד  כבד  מאד
אשר  לא־היה  כמהו
במצרים  למן־  היום
הוסדה  ועד־עתה׃
    HNNY MMTYUr K'yTh MChUr BUrD KBD M'aD 'aShUr L'a-HYH KMHV BMTShUrYM LMN- HYVM HVSDH V'yD-'yThH.     lo, I am raining about this time to-morrow hail very grievous, such as hath not been in Egypt, even from the day of its being founded, even until now.     en pluam hac ipsa hora cras grandinem multam nimis qualis non fuit in Aegypto a die qua fundata est usque in praesens tempus
 
19.    Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. Every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn't brought home, the hail shall come down on them, and they shall die."'"     Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.     ועתה  שלח  העז 
את־מקנך  ואת
כל־אשר  לך  בשדה
כל־האדם  והבהמה
אשר־  ימצא  בשדה
ולא  יאסף  הביתה
וירד  עלהם  הברד
ומתו׃
    V'yThH ShLCh H'yZ 'aTh-MQNK V'aTh KL-'aShUr LK BShDH KL-H'aDM VHBHMH 'aShUr- YMTSh'a BShDH VL'a Y'aSPh HBYThH VYUrD 'yLHM HBUrD VMThV.     `And, now, send, strengthen thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; every man and beast which is found in the field, and is not gathered into the house -- come down on them hath the hail, and they have died.`     mitte ergo iam nunc et congrega iumenta tua et omnia quae habes in agro homines enim et iumenta et universa quae inventa fuerint foris nec congregata de agris cecideritque super ea grando morientur
 
20.    Those who feared the word of Yahweh among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.     He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:     הירא  את־דבר  יהוה 
מעבדי  פרעה  הניס
את־עבדיו
ואת־מקנהו  אל־
הבתים׃
    HYUr'a 'aTh-DBUr YHVH M'yBDY PhUr'yH HNYS 'aTh-'yBDYV V'aTh-MQNHV 'aL- HBThYM.     He who is fearing the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh hath caused his servants and his cattle to flee unto the houses;     qui timuit verbum Domini de servis Pharao fecit confugere servos suos et iumenta in domos
 
21.    Whoever didn't respect the word of Yahweh left his servants and his livestock in the field.     And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.     ואשר  לא־שם  לבו 
אל־דבר  יהוה  ויעזב
את־עבדיו
ואת־מקנהו  בשדה׃
    V'aShUr L'a-ShM LBV 'aL-DBUr YHVH VY'yZB 'aTh-'yBDYV V'aTh-MQNHV BShDH.     and he who hath not set his heart unto the word of Jehovah leaveth his servants and his cattle in the field.     qui autem neglexit sermonem Domini dimisit servos suos et iumenta in agris
 
22.    Yahweh said to Moses, "Stretch forth your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt."     And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.     ויאמר  יהוה  אל־משה 
נטה  את־ידך
על־השמים  ויהי  ברד
בכל־ארץ  מצרים
על־האדם  ועל־הבהמה
ועל  כל־עשב  השדה
בארץ  מצרים׃
    VY'aMUr YHVH 'aL-MShH NTH 'aTh-YDK 'yL-HShMYM VYHY BUrD BKL-'aUrTSh MTShUrYM 'yL-H'aDM V'yL-HBHMH V'yL KL-'yShB HShDH B'aUrTSh MTShUrYM.     And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Stretch forth thy hand towards the heavens, and there is hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on beast, and on every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.`     et dixit Dominus ad Mosen extende manum tuam in caelum ut fiat grando in universa terra Aegypti super homines et super iumenta et super omnem herbam agri in terra Aegypti
 
23.    Moses stretched forth his rod toward the heavens, and Yahweh sent thunder, hail, and lightning flashed down to the earth. Yahweh rained hail on the land of Egypt.     And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.     ויט  משה  את־מטהו 
על־השמים  ויהוה
נתן  קלת  וברד
ותהלך  אש  ארצה
וימטר  יהוה  ברד
על־ארץ  מצרים׃
    VYT MShH 'aTh-MTHV 'yL-HShMYM VYHVH NThN QLTh VBUrD VThHLK 'aSh 'aUrTShH VYMTUr YHVH BUrD 'yL-'aUrTSh MTShUrYM.     And Moses stretcheth out his rod towards the heavens, and Jehovah hath given voices and hail, and fire goeth towards the earth, and Jehovah raineth hail on the land of Egypt,     extenditque Moses virgam in caelum et Dominus dedit tonitrua et grandinem ac discurrentia fulgura super terram pluitque Dominus grandinem super terram Aegypti
 
24.    So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.     So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.     ויהי  ברד  ואש 
מתלקחת  בתוך  הברד
כבד  מאד  אשר
לא־היה  כמהו  בכל־
ארץ  מצרים  מאז
היתה  לגוי׃
    VYHY BUrD V'aSh MThLQChTh BThVK HBUrD KBD M'aD 'aShUr L'a-HYH KMHV BKL- 'aUrTSh MTShUrYM M'aZ HYThH LGVY.     and there is hail, and fire catching itself in the midst of the hail, very grievous, such as hath not been in all the land of Egypt since it hath become a nation.     et grando et ignis inmixta pariter ferebantur tantaeque fuit magnitudinis quanta ante numquam apparuit in universa terra Aegypti ex quo gens illa condita est
 
25.    The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.     And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.     ויך  הברד  בכל־ארץ 
מצרים  את  כל־אשר
בשדה  מאדם
ועד־בהמה  ואת  כל־
עשב  השדה  הכה  הברד
ואת־כל־עץ  השדה
שבר׃
    VYK HBUrD BKL-'aUrTSh MTShUrYM 'aTh KL-'aShUr BShDH M'aDM V'yD-BHMH V'aTh KL- 'yShB HShDH HKH HBUrD V'aTh-KL-'yTSh HShDH ShBUr.     And the hail smiteth in all the land of Egypt all that is in the field, from man even unto beast, and every herb of the field hath the hail smitten, and every tree of the field it hath broken;     et percussit grando in omni terra Aegypti cuncta quae fuerunt in agris ab homine usque ad iumentum cunctam herbam agri percussit grando et omne lignum regionis confregit
 
26.    Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.     Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.     רק  בארץ  גשן

27.    Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "I have sinned this time. Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.     And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.     וישלח  פרעה  ויקרא 
למשה  ולאהרן  ויאמר
אלהם  חטאתי  הפעם
יהוה  הצדיק  ואני
ועמי  הרשעים׃
    VYShLCh PhUr'yH VYQUr'a LMShH VL'aHUrN VY'aMUr 'aLHM ChT'aThY HPh'yM YHVH HTShDYQ V'aNY V'yMY HUrSh'yYM.     And Pharaoh sendeth, and calleth for Moses and for Aaron, and saith unto them, `I have sinned this time, Jehovah is the Righteous, and I and my people are the Wicked,     misitque Pharao et vocavit Mosen et Aaron dicens ad eos peccavi etiam nunc Dominus iustus ego et populus meus impii
 
28.    Pray to Yahweh; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer."     Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.     העתירו  אל־יהוה 
ורב  מהית  קלת
אלהים  וברד  ואשלחה
אתכם  ולא  תספון
לעמד׃
    H'yThYUrV 'aL-YHVH VUrB MHYTh QLTh 'aLHYM VBUrD V'aShLChH 'aThKM VL'a ThSPhVN L'yMD.     make ye supplication unto Jehovah, and plead that there be no voices of God and hail, and I send you away, and ye add not to remain.`     orate Dominum et desinant tonitrua Dei et grando ut dimittam vos et nequaquam hic ultra maneatis
 
29.    Moses said to him, "As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to Yahweh. The thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh's.     And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.     ויאמר  אליו  משה 
כצאתי  את־העיר
אפרש  את־כפי
אל־יהוה  הקלות
יחדלון  והברד  לא
יהיה־עוד  למען  תדע
כי  ליהוה  הארץ׃
    VY'aMUr 'aLYV MShH KTSh'aThY 'aTh-H'yYUr 'aPhUrSh 'aTh-KPhY 'aL-YHVH HQLVTh YChDLVN VHBUrD L'a YHYH-'yVD LM'yN ThD'y KY LYHVH H'aUrTSh.     And Moses saith unto him, `At my going out of the city, I spread my palms unto Jehovah -- the voices cease, and the hail is not any more, so that thou knowest that the earth is Jehovah`s;     ait Moses cum egressus fuero de urbe extendam palmas meas ad Dominum et cessabunt tonitrua et grando non erit ut scias quia Domini est terra
 
30.    But as for you and your servants, I know that you don't yet fear Yahweh God."     But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.     ואתה  ועבדיך  ידעתי 
כי  טרם  תיראון
מפני  יהוה  אלהים׃
    V'aThH V'yBDYK YD'yThY KY TUrM ThYUr'aVN MPhNY YHVH 'aLHYM.     but thou and thy servants -- I have known that ye are not yet afraid of the face of Jehovah God.`     novi autem quod et tu et servi tui necdum timeatis Dominum Deum
 
31.    The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.     And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.     והפשתה  והשערה 
נכתה  כי  השערה
אביב  והפשתה  גבעל׃
    VHPhShThH VHSh'yUrH NKThH KY HSh'yUrH 'aBYB VHPhShThH GB'yL.     And the flax and the barley have been smitten, for the barley is budding, and the flax forming flowers,     linum ergo et hordeum laesum est eo quod hordeum esset virens et linum iam folliculos germinaret
 
32.    But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up.     But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.     והחטה  והכסמת  לא 
נכו  כי  אפילת  הנה׃
    VHChTH VHKSMTh L'a NKV KY 'aPhYLTh HNH.     and the wheat and the rye have not been smitten, for they are late.     triticum autem et far non sunt laesa quia serotina erant
 
33.    Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to Yahweh; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.     And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.     ויצא  משה  מעם  פרעה 
את־העיר  ויפרש
כפיו  אל־יהוה
ויחדלו  הקלות
והברד  ומטר  לא־נתך
ארצה׃
    VYTSh'a MShH M'yM PhUr'yH 'aTh-H'yYUr VYPhUrSh KPhYV 'aL-YHVH VYChDLV HQLVTh VHBUrD VMTUr L'a-NThK 'aUrTShH.     And Moses goeth out from Pharaoh, from the city, and spreadeth his hands unto Jehovah, and the voices and the hail cease, and rain hath not been poured out to the earth;     egressusque Moses a Pharaone et ex urbe tetendit manus ad Dominum et cessaverunt tonitrua et grando nec ultra stillavit pluvia super terram
 
34.    When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.     And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.     וירא  פרעה  כי־חדל 
המטר  והברד  והקלת
ויסף  לחטא  ויכבד
לבו  הוא  ועבדיו׃
    VYUr'a PhUr'yH KY-ChDL HMTUr VHBUrD VHQLTh VYSPh LChT'a VYKBD LBV HV'a V'yBDYV.     and Pharaoh seeth that the rain hath ceased, and the hail and the voices, and he continueth to sin, and hardeneth his heart, he and his servants;     videns autem Pharao quod cessasset pluvia et grando et tonitrua auxit peccatum
 
35.    The heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he didn't let the children of Israel go, just as Yahweh had spoken through Moses.     And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.     ויחזק  לב  פרעה  ולא 
שלח  את־בני  ישראל
כאשר  דבר  יהוה
ביד־משה׃
    VYChZQ LB PhUr'yH VL'a ShLCh 'aTh-BNY YShUr'aL K'aShUr DBUr YHVH BYD-MShH.     and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not sent the sons of Israel away, as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses.     et ingravatum est cor eius et servorum illius et induratum nimis nec dimisit filios Israhel sicut praeceperat Dominus per manum Mosi
