VYDBUr YHVH 'aL-MShH L'aMUr. | And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, | locutus est Dominus ad Mosen dicens | |||||
| 2. | "Make two trumpets of silver. You shall make them of beaten work. You shall use them for the calling of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps. | Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. |
עשה לך שתי חצוצרת כסף מקשה תעשה אתם והיו לך למקרא העדה ולמסע את־המחנות׃ |
'yShH LK ShThY ChTShVTShUrTh KSPh MQShH Th'yShH 'aThM VHYV LK LMQUr'a H'yDH VLMS'y 'aTh-HMChNVTh. | `Make to thee two trumpets of silver; beaten work thou dost make them, and they have been to thee for the convocation of the company, and for the journeying of the camps; | fac tibi duas tubas argenteas ductiles quibus convocare possis multitudinem quando movenda sunt castra | |||||
| 3. | When they blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the door of the Tent of Meeting. | And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. |
ותקעו בהן ונועדו אליך כל־העדה אל־פתח אהל מועד׃ |
VThQ'yV BHN VNV'yDV 'aLYK KL-H'yDH 'aL-PhThCh 'aHL MV'yD. | and they have blown with them, and all the company have met together unto thee, unto the opening of the tent of meeting. | cumque increpueris tubis congregabitur ad te omnis turba ad ostium foederis tabernaculi | |||||
| 4. | If they blow just one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves to you. | And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee. |
ואם־באחת יתקעו ונועדו אליך הנשיאים ראשי אלפי ישראל׃ |
V'aM-B'aChTh YThQ'yV VNV'yDV 'aLYK HNShY'aYM Ur'aShY 'aLPhY YShUr'aL. | And if with one they blow, then have the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, met together unto thee; | si semel clangueris venient ad te principes et capita multitudinis Israhel | |||||
| 5. | When you blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall go forward. | When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward. |
ותקעתם תרועה ונסעו המחנות החנים קדמה׃ |
VThQ'yThM ThUrV'yH VNS'yV HMChNVTh HChNYM QDMH. | `And ye have blown -- a shout, and the camps which are encamping eastward have journeyed. | sin autem prolixior atque concisus clangor increpuerit movebunt castra primi qui sunt ad orientalem plagam | |||||
| 6. | When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall go forward. They shall blow an alarm for their journeys. | When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys. |
ותקעתם תרועה שנית ונסעו המחנות החנים תימנה תרועה יתקעו למסעיהם׃ |

| 7. | But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm. | But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm. |
ובהקהיל את־הקהל תתקעו ולא תריעו׃ |
VBHQHYL 'aTh-HQHL ThThQ'yV VL'a ThUrY'yV. | `And in the assembling of the assembly ye blow, and do not shout; | quando autem congregandus est populus simplex tubarum clangor erit et non concise ululabunt | |||||
| 8. | "The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. This shall be to you for a statute forever throughout your generations. | And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations. |
ובני אהרן הכהנים יתקעו בחצצרות והיו לכם לחקת עולם לדרתיכם׃ |
VBNY 'aHUrN HKHNYM YThQ'yV BChTShTShUrVTh VHYV LKM LChQTh 'yVLM LDUrThYKM. | and sons of Aaron, the priests, blow with the trumpets; and they have been to you for a statute age-during to your generations. | filii Aaron sacerdotes clangent tubis eritque hoc legitimum sempiternum in generationibus vestris | |||||
| 9. | When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before Yahweh your God, and you will be saved from your enemies. | And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies. |
וכי־תבאו מלחמה בארצכם על־הצר הצרר אתכם והרעתם בחצצרת ונזכרתם לפני יהוה אלהיכם ונושעתם מאיביכם׃ |

I am Yahweh your God." | Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God. |

| 13. | They first went forward according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses. | And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses. |

| 17. | The tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the tabernacle, went forward. | And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle. |
והורד המשכן ונסעו בני־גרשון ובני מררי נשאי המשכן׃ |

Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel." | And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel. |

| 31. | He said, "Don't leave us, please; because you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes. | And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes. |
ויאמר אל־נא תעזב אתנו כי על־כן ידעת חנתנו במדבר והיית לנו לעינים׃ |
VY'aMUr 'aL-N'a Th'yZB 'aThNV KY 'yL-KN YD'yTh ChNThNV BMDBUr VHYYTh LNV L'yYNYM. | And he saith, `I pray thee, forsake us not, because thou hast known our encamping in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us for eyes; | et ille noli inquit nos relinquere tu enim nosti in quibus locis per desertum castra ponere debeamus et eris ductor noster | |||||
| 32. | It shall be, if you go with us, yes, it shall be, that whatever good Yahweh does to us, we will do the same to you." | And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee. |
והיה כי־תלך עמנו והיה הטוב ההוא אשר ייטיב יהוה עמנו והטבנו לך׃ |
VHYH KY-ThLK 'yMNV VHYH HTVB HHV'a 'aShUr YYTYB YHVH 'yMNV VHTBNV LK. | and it hath come to pass when thou goest with us, yea, it hath come to pass -- that good which Jehovah doth kindly with us -- it we have done kindly to thee.` | cumque nobiscum veneris quicquid optimum fuerit ex opibus quas nobis traditurus est Dominus dabimus tibi | |||||
| 33. | They set forward from the Mount of Yahweh three days' journey. The ark of the covenant of Yahweh went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting place for them. | And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them. |
ויסעו מהר יהוה דרך שלשת ימים וארון ברית־יהוה נסע לפניהם דרך שלשת ימים לתור להם מנוחה׃ |
VYS'yV MHUr YHVH DUrK ShLShTh YMYM V'aUrVN BUrYTh-YHVH NS'y LPhNYHM DUrK ShLShTh YMYM LThVUr LHM MNVChH. | And they journey from the mount of Jehovah a journey of three days; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is journeying before them the journey of three days, to spy out for them a resting-place; | profecti sunt ergo de monte Domini via trium dierum arcaque foederis Domini praecedebat eos per dies tres providens castrorum locum | |||||
| 34. | The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp. | And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp. |
וענן יהוה עליהם יומם בנסעם מן־המחנה׃ |

| 35. | It happened, when the ark went forward, that Moses said, "Rise up, Yahweh, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!" | And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee. |
