| 2. | "Moreover let the children of Israel keep the Passover in its appointed season. | Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season. |

| 3. | On the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you shall keep it in its appointed season--according to all its statutes, and according to all its ordinances, you shall keep it." | In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it. |

| 5. | They kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at evening, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did. | And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel. |

| 6. | There were certain men, who were unclean because of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day. | And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day: |
ויהי אנשים אשר היו טמאים לנפש אדם ולא־יכלו לעשת־הפסח ביום ההוא ויקרבו לפני משה ולפני אהרן ביום ההוא׃ |
VYHY 'aNShYM 'aShUr HYV TM'aYM LNPhSh 'aDM VL'a-YKLV L'yShTh-HPhSCh BYVM HHV'a VYQUrBV LPhNY MShH VLPhNY 'aHUrN BYVM HHV'a. | And there are men who have been defiled by the body of a man, and they have not been able to prepare the passover on that day, and they come near before Moses, and before Aaron, on that day, | ecce autem quidam inmundi super animam hominis qui non poterant facere pascha in die illo accedentes ad Mosen et Aaron | |||||
| 7. | Those men said to him, "We are unclean because of the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back, that we may not offer the offering of Yahweh in its appointed season among the children of Israel?" | And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel? |
ויאמרו האנשים ההמה אליו אנחנו טמאים לנפש אדם למה נגרע לבלתי הקריב את־קרבן יהוה במעדו בתוך בני ישראל׃ |
VY'aMUrV H'aNShYM HHMH 'aLYV 'aNChNV TM'aYM LNPhSh 'aDM LMH NGUr'y LBLThY HQUrYB 'aTh-QUrBN YHVH BM'yDV BThVK BNY YShUr'aL. | and those men say unto him, `We are defiled by the body of a man; why are we withheld so as not to bring near the offering of Jehovah in its appointed season, in the midst of the sons of Israel?` | dixerunt eis inmundi sumus super animam hominis quare fraudamur ut non valeamus offerre oblationem Domino in tempore suo inter filios Israhel | |||||
| 8. | Moses answered them, "Wait, that I may hear what Yahweh will command concerning you." | And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you. |

| 10. | "Say to the children of Israel, 'If any man of you or of your generations is unclean by reason of a dead body, or is on a journey far away, he shall still keep the Passover to Yahweh. | Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD. |
דבר אל־בני ישראל לאמר איש איש כי־יהיה־טמא לנפש או בדרך רחקה לכם או לדרתיכם ועשה פסח ליהוה׃ |

| 13. | But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and fails to keep the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people. Because he didn't offer the offering of Yahweh in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. | But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. |
והאיש אשר־הוא טהור ובדרך לא־היה וחדל לעשות הפסח ונכרתה הנפש ההוא מעמיה כי קרבן יהוה לא הקריב במעדו חטאו ישא האיש ההוא׃ |
VH'aYSh 'aShUr-HV'a THVUr VBDUrK L'a-HYH VChDL L'yShVTh HPhSCh VNKUrThH HNPhSh HHV'a M'yMYH KY QUrBN YHVH L'a HQUrYB BM'yDV ChT'aV YSh'a H'aYSh HHV'a. | `And the man who is clean, and hath not been on a journey, and hath ceased to prepare the passover, even that person hath been cut off from his people; because the offering of Jehovah he hath not brought near, in its appointed season, that man doth bear his sin. | si quis autem et mundus est et in itinere non fuit et tamen non fecit phase exterminabitur anima illa de populis suis quia sacrificium Domino non obtulit tempore suo peccatum suum ipse portabit | |||||
| 14. | "'If a foreigner lives among you, and desires to keep the Passover to Yahweh; according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its ordinance, so shall he do. You shall have one statute, both for the foreigner, and for him who is born in the land.'" | And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land. |
וכי־יגור אתכם גר ועשה פסח ליהוה כחקת הפסח וכמשפטו כן יעשה חקה אחת יהיה לכם ולגר ולאזרח הארץ׃ |
VKY-YGVUr 'aThKM GUr V'yShH PhSCh LYHVH KChQTh HPhSCh VKMShPhTV KN Y'yShH ChQH 'aChTh YHYH LKM VLGUr VL'aZUrCh H'aUrTSh. | `And when a sojourner sojourneth with you, then he hath prepared a passover to Jehovah, according to the statute of the passover, and according to its ordinance, so he doth; one statute is to you, even to a sojourner, and to a native of the land.` | peregrinus quoque et advena si fuerit apud vos faciet phase Domini iuxta caerimonias et iustificationes eius praeceptum idem erit apud vos tam advenae quam indigenae | |||||
| 15. | On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony: and at evening it was over the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning. | And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning. |
וביום הקים את־המשכן כסה הענן את־המשכן לאהל העדת ובערב יהיה על־המשכן כמראה־אש עד־בקר׃ |
VBYVM HQYM 'aTh-HMShKN KSH H'yNN 'aTh-HMShKN L'aHL H'yDTh VB'yUrB YHYH 'yL-HMShKN KMUr'aH-'aSh 'yD-BQUr. | And in the day of the raising up of the tabernacle hath the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony; and in the evening there is on the tabernacle as an appearance of fire till morning; | igitur die qua erectum est tabernaculum operuit illud nubes a vespere autem super tentorium erat quasi species ignis usque mane | |||||
| 16. | So it was continually. The cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. | So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. |

| 17. | Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the children of Israel encamped. | And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents. |
ולפי העלות הענן מעל האהל ואחרי־כן יסעו בני ישראל ובמקום אשר ישכן־שם הענן שם יחנו בני ישראל׃ |

| 18. | At the commandment of Yahweh, the children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of Yahweh they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained encamped. | At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents. |
על־פי יהוה יסעו בני ישראל ועל־פי יהוה יחנו כל־ימי אשר ישכן הענן על־המשכן יחנו׃ |

| 20. | Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Yahweh they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Yahweh they traveled. | And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed. |
