| 1. | Now this is the history of the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Yahweh spoke with Moses in Mount Sinai. | These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spake with Moses in mount Sinai. |
ואלה תולדת אהרן ומשה ביום דבר יהוה את־משה בהר סיני׃ |
V'aLH ThVLDTh 'aHUrN VMShH BYVM DBUr YHVH 'aTh-MShH BHUr SYNY. | And these are births of Aaron and Moses, in the day of Jehovah`s speaking with Moses in mount Sinai. | Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed [is] not grievous, but for you [it is] safe. | |||||

V'aLH ShMVTh BNY-'aHUrN HBKUr NDB V'aBYHV'a 'aL'yZUr V'aYThMUr. | And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: the first-born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar; | Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. | |||||

'aLH ShMVTh BNY 'aHUrN HKHNYM HMShChYM 'aShUr-ML'a YDM LKHN. | these are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whose hand he hath consecrated for acting as priest. | For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. | |||||

VYMTh NDB V'aBYHV'a LPhNY YHVH BHQUrBM 'aSh ZUrH LPhNY YHVH BMDBUr SYNY VBNYM L'a-HYV LHM VYKHN 'aL'yZUr V'aYThMUr 'yL-PhNY 'aHUrN 'aBYHM. | And Nadab dieth -- Abihu also -- before Jehovah, in their bringing near strange fire before Jehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and sons they had not; and Eleazar -- Ithamar also -- acteth as priest in the presence of Aaron their father. | Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: | |||||

VYDBUr YHVH 'aL-MShH L'aMUr. | And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, | Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, [of] the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; | |||||
| 6. | "Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him. | Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him. |
הקרב את־מטה לוי והעמדת אתו לפני אהרן הכהן ושרתו אתו׃ |
HQUrB 'aTh-MTH LVY VH'yMDTh 'aThV LPhNY 'aHUrN HKHN VShUrThV 'aThV. | `Bring near the tribe of Levi, and thou hast caused it to stand before Aaron the priest, and they have served him, | Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. | |||||
| 7. | They shall keep his requirements, and the requirements of the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle. | And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. |
ושמרו את־משמרתו ואת־משמרת כל־העדה לפני אהל מועד לעבד את־עבדת המשכן׃ |
VShMUrV 'aTh-MShMUrThV V'aTh-MShMUrTh KL-H'yDH LPhNY 'aHL MV'yD L'yBD 'aTh-'yBDTh HMShKN. | and kept his charge, and the charge of all the company before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle; | But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. | |||||
| 8. | They shall keep all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, and the obligations of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle. | And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle. |
ושמרו את־כל־כלי אהל מועד ואת־משמרת בני ישראל לעבד את־עבדת המשכן׃ |
VShMUrV 'aTh-KL-KLY 'aHL MV'yD V'aTh-MShMUrTh BNY YShUr'aL L'yBD 'aTh-'yBDTh HMShKN. | and they have kept all the vessels of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle; | Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ, | |||||
| 9. | You shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons. They are wholly given to him on the behalf of the children of Israel. | And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel. |
ונתתה את־הלוים לאהרן ולבניו נתונם נתונם המה לו מאת בני ישראל׃ |
VNThThH 'aTh-HLVYM L'aHUrN VLBNYV NThVNM NThVNM HMH LV M'aTh BNY YShUr'aL. | and thou hast given the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; they are surely given to him out of the sons of Israel. | And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: | |||||
| 10. | You shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death." | And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. |

V'aTh-'aHUrN V'aTh-BNYV ThPhQD VShMUrV 'aTh-KHNThM VHZUr HQUrB YVMTh. | `And Aaron and his sons thou dost appoint, and they have kept their priesthood, and the stranger who cometh near is put to death.` | That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; | |||||

VYDBUr YHVH 'aL-MShH L'aMUr. | And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, | If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. | |||||
| 12. | "Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn who open the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine: | And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine; |
ואני הנה לקחתי את־הלוים מתוך בני ישראל תחת כל־בכור פטר רחם מבני ישראל והיו לי הלוים׃ |
V'aNY HNH LQChThY 'aTh-HLVYM MThVK BNY YShUr'aL ThChTh KL-BKVUr PhTUr UrChM MBNY YShUr'aL VHYV LY HLVYM. | `And I, lo, I have taken the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel instead of every first-born opening a womb among the sons of Israel, and the Levites have been Mine; | Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. | |||||
| 13. | for all the firstborn are mine. On the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I made holy to me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal. They shall be mine. I am Yahweh." | Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD. |
כי לי כל־בכור ביום הכתי כל־בכור בארץ מצרים הקדשתי לי כל־בכור בישראל מאדם עד־בהמה לי יהיו אני יהוה׃ |
KY LY KL-BKVUr BYVM HKThY KL-BKVUr B'aUrTSh MTShUrYM HQDShThY LY KL-BKVUr BYShUr'aL M'aDM 'yD-BHMH LY YHYV 'aNY YHVH. | for Mine is every first-born, in the day of My smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I have sanctified to Myself every first-born in Israel, from man unto beast; Mine they are; I am Jehovah.` | Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, | |||||
| 14. | Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, | And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, |

VYDBUr YHVH 'aL-MShH BMDBUr SYNY L'aMUr. | And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, | I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. | |||||
| 15. | "Count the children of Levi by their fathers' houses, by their families. You shall count every male from a month old and upward." | Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them. |
פקד את־בני לוי לבית אבתם למשפחתם כל־זכר מבן־חדש ומעלה תפקדם׃ |
PhQD 'aTh-BNY LVY LBYTh 'aBThM LMShPhChThM KL-ZKUr MBN-ChDSh VM'yLH ThPhQDM. | `Number the sons of Levi by the house of their fathers, by their families; every male from a son of a month and upward thou dost number them.` | Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. | |||||
| 16. | Moses numbered them according to the word of Yahweh, as he was commanded. | And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded. |
ויפקד אתם משה על־פי יהוה כאשר צוה׃ |
VYPhQD 'aThM MShH 'yL-PhY YHVH K'aShUr TShVH. | And Moses numbereth them according to the command of Jehovah, as he hath been commanded. | Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. | |||||
| 17. | These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. | And these were the sons of Levi by their names; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. |
ויהיו־אלה בני־לוי בשמתם גרשון וקהת ומררי׃ |
VYHYV-'aLH BNY-LVY BShMThM GUrShVN VQHTh VMUrUrY. | And these are sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. | Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. | |||||
| 18. | These are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei. | And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Libni, and Shimei. |

V'aLH ShMVTh BNY-GUrShVN LMShPhChThM LBNY VShM'yY. | And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei. | (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ: | |||||
| 19. | The sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, and Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. | And the sons of Kohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel. |
ובני קהת למשפחתם עמרם ויצהר חברון ועזיאל׃ |
VBNY QHTh LMShPhChThM 'yMUrM VYTShHUr ChBUrVN V'yZY'aL. | And the sons of Kohath, by their families, are Amram and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. | Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.) | |||||

ובני מררי למשפחתם מחלי ומושי אלה הם משפחת הלוי לבית אבתם׃ |
VBNY MUrUrY LMShPhChThM MChLY VMVShY 'aLH HM MShPhChTh HLVY LBYTh 'aBThM. | And the sons of Merari by their families are Mahli and Mushi; these are the families of the Levites, by the house of their fathers. | For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: | |||||
