1.    Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tiresome, but for you it is safe.     Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.     το λοιπον αδελφοι μου χαιρετε εν κυριω τα αυτα γραφειν υμιν εμοι μεν ουκ οκνηρον υμιν δε ασφαλες     As to the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord; the same things to write to you to me indeed is not tiresome, and for you is sure;     de cetero fratres mei gaudete in Domino eadem vobis scribere mihi quidem non pigrum vobis autem necessarium
 
2.    Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision.     Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.     βλεπετε τους κυνας βλεπετε τους κακους εργατας βλεπετε την κατατομην     look to the dogs, look to the evil-workers, look to the concision;     videte canes videte malos operarios videte concisionem
 
3.    For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;     For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.     ημεις γαρ εσμεν η περιτομη οι πνευματι θεου λατρευοντες και καυχωμενοι εν χριστω ιησου και ουκ εν σαρκι πεποιθοτες     for we are the circumcision, who by the Spirit are serving God, and glorying in Christ Jesus, and in flesh having no trust,     nos enim sumus circumcisio qui spiritu Deo servimus et gloriamur in Christo Iesu et non in carne fiduciam habentes
 
4.    though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has confidence in the flesh, I yet more:     Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:     καιπερ εγω εχων πεποιθησιν και εν σαρκι ει τις δοκει αλλος πεποιθεναι εν σαρκι εγω μαλλον     though I also have cause of trust in flesh. If any other one doth think to have trust in flesh, I more;     quamquam ego habeam confidentiam et in carne si quis alius videtur confidere in carne ego magis

6.    concerning zeal, persecuting the assembly; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.     Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.     κατα ζηλοσ διωκων την εκκλησιαν κατα δικαιοσυνην την εν νομω γενομενος αμεμπτος     according to zeal persecuting the assembly! according to righteousness that is in law becoming blameless!     secundum aemulationem persequens ecclesiam Dei secundum iustitiam quae in lege est conversatus sine querella
 
7.    However, what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.     But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.     [αλλα] ατινα ην μοι κερδη ταυτα ηγημαι δια τον χριστον ζημιαν     But what things were to me gains, these I have counted, because of the Christ, loss;     sed quae mihi fuerunt lucra haec arbitratus sum propter Christum detrimenta
 
8.    Yes most certainly, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Christ     Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,     αλλα  μενουνγε και ηγουμαι παντα ζημιαν ειναι δια το υπερεχον της γνωσεως χριστου ιησου του κυριου μου δι ον τα παντα εζημιωθην και ηγουμαι σκυβαλα ινα χριστον κερδησω     yes, indeed, and I count all things to be loss, because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom of the all things I suffered loss, and do count them to be refuse, that Christ I may gain, and be found in him,     verumtamen existimo omnia detrimentum esse propter eminentem scientiam Iesu Christi Domini mei propter quem omnia detrimentum feci et arbitror ut stercora ut Christum lucri faciam
 
9.    and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;     And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:     και ευρεθω εν αυτω μη εχων εμην δικαιοσυνην την εκ νομου αλλα την δια πιστεως χριστου την εκ θεου δικαιοσυνην επι τη πιστει     not having my righteousness, which is of law, but that which is through faith of Christ -- the righteousness that is of God by the faith,     et inveniar in illo non habens meam iustitiam quae ex lege est sed illam quae ex fide est Christi quae ex Deo est iustitia in fide
 
10.    that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death;     That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;     του γνωναι αυτον και την δυναμιν της αναστασεως αυτου και [την] κοινωνιαν [των] παθηματων αυτου συμμορφιζομενοσ τω θανατω αυτου     to know him, and the power of his rising again, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,     ad agnoscendum illum et virtutem resurrectionis eius et societatem passionum illius configuratus morti eius
 
11.    if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.     If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.     ει πως καταντησω εις την εξαναστασιν την εκ νεκρων     if anyhow I may attain to the rising again of the dead.     si quo modo occurram ad resurrectionem quae est ex mortuis
 
12.    Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.     Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.     ουχ οτι ηδη ελαβον η ηδη τετελειωμαι διωκω δε ει και καταλαβω εφ ω και κατελημφθην  υπο χριστου [ιησου]     Not that I did already obtain, or have been already perfected; but I pursue, if also I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by the Christ Jesus;     non quod iam acceperim aut iam perfectus sim sequor autem si conprehendam in quo et conprehensus sum a Christo Iesu
 
13.    Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,     Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,     αδελφοι εγω εμαυτον ου λογιζομαι κατειληφεναι εν δε τα μεν οπισω επιλανθανομενος τοις δε εμπροσθεν επεκτεινομενος     brethren, I do not reckon myself to have laid hold; and one thing -- the things behind indeed forgetting, and to the things before stretching forth --     fratres ego me non arbitror conprehendisse unum autem quae quidem retro sunt obliviscens ad ea vero quae sunt in priora extendens me
 
14.    I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.     I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.     κατα σκοπον διωκω εισ το βραβειον της ανω κλησεως του θεου εν χριστω ιησου     to the mark I pursue for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.     ad destinatum persequor ad bravium supernae vocationis Dei in Christo Iesu
 
15.    Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, God will also reveal that to you.     Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.     οσοι ουν τελειοι τουτο φρονωμεν και ει τι ετερως φρονειτε και τουτο ο θεος υμιν αποκαλυψει     As many, therefore, as are perfect -- let us think this, and if in anything ye think otherwise, this also shall God reveal to you,     quicumque ergo perfecti hoc sentiamus et si quid aliter sapitis et hoc vobis Deus revelabit
 
16.    Nevertheless, to the extent that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule. Let us be of the same mind.     Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.     πλην εις ο εφθασαμεν τω αυτω στοιχειν      but to what we have come -- by the same rule walk, the same thing think;     verumtamen ad quod pervenimus ut idem sapiamus et in eadem permaneamus regula
 
17.    Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example.     Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.     συμμιμηται μου γινεσθε αδελφοι και σκοπειτε τους ουτω περιπατουντας καθως εχετε τυπον ημας     become followers together of me, brethren, and observe those thus walking, according as ye have us -- a pattern;     imitatores mei estote fratres et observate eos qui ita ambulant sicut habetis formam nos
 
18.    For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, as the enemies of the cross of Christ,     (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:     πολλοι γαρ περιπατουσιν ους πολλακις ελεγον υμιν νυν δε και κλαιων λεγω τους εχθρους του σταυρου του χριστου     for many walk of whom many times I told you -- and now also weeping tell -- the enemies of the cross of the Christ!     multi enim ambulant quos saepe dicebam vobis nunc autem et flens dico inimicos crucis Christi

20.    For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;     For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:     ημων γαρ το πολιτευμα εν ουρανοις υπαρχει εξ ου και σωτηρα απεκδεχομεθα κυριον ιησουν χριστον     For our citizenship is in the heavens, whence also a Saviour we await -- the Lord Jesus Christ --     nostra autem conversatio in caelis est unde etiam salvatorem expectamus Dominum Iesum Christum
 
21.    who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.     Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.     ος μετασχηματισει το σωμα της ταπεινωσεως ημων   συμμορφον τω σωματι της δοξης αυτου κατα την ενεργειαν του δυνασθαι αυτον και υποταξαι αυτω τα παντα     who shall transform the body of our humiliation to its becoming conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of his power, even to subject to himself the all things.     qui reformabit corpus humilitatis nostrae configuratum corpori claritatis suae secundum operationem qua possit etiam subicere sibi omnia
