| 3. * | الذي انقض ظهرك | alXy anqD Zhrk | Which weighed heavily (on)/burdened your back. | One that burdened your back. | The which did gall thy back?- | ||||
| 4. * | ورفعنا لك ذكرك | wrf`na lk Xkrk | And We raised for you your memory/reputation. | We exalted you to an honorable position. | And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? | ||||
| 5. * | فان مع العسر يسرا | fan m` al`sr ysra | So that truly with the difficulty/hardship (is) ease/flexibility. | With pain there is gain. | So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief: | ||||
| 6. * | ان مع العسر يسرا | an m` al`sr ysra | That truly with the difficulty/hardship (is) ease/flexibility. | Indeed, with pain there is gain. | Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. | ||||
| 7. * | فاذا فرغت فانصب | faXa frGt fanSb | So when/if you finished/ended/completed, so work hard/fatigue. | Whenever possible you shall strive. | Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard, | ||||
| 8. * | والى ربك فارغب | wali rbk farGb | And to your Lord, so wish/desire. | Seeking only your Lord. | And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. | ||||
