Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
|

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.
|
|
سورة الفلق بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ قل اعوذ برب الفلق
|
|
Say: "I seek protection with/by Lord/master/owner (of) the daybreak/creation."
|
|
|
|
Qul aAAoothu birabbi alfalaqi
|

From the mischief of created things;
|
|
"From the evils among His creations.
|
|
من شر ماخلق
|
|
From bad/evil/harm (of) what He created.
|
|
|
|
Min sharri makhalaqa
|
| |
| 3. * |
From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;
|
|
"From the evils of darkness as it falls.
|
|
ومن شر غاسق اذا وقب
|
|
And from bad/evil/harm (of an) intense dark night/moon, when/if (it) penetrated through body pores/ spread/approached.
|
|
|
|
Wamin sharri ghasiqin ithawaqaba
|

| 4. * |
From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;
|
|
"From the evils of the troublemakers.
|
|
ومن شر النفاثات في العقد
|
|
And from bad/evil/harm (of) the female magicians/sorceresses/dischargers in the knots.
|
|
|
|
Wamin sharri alnnaffathati fee alAAuqadi
|
| |
| 5. * |
And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy.
|
|
"From the evils of the envious when they envy."
|
|
ومن شر حاسد اذا حسد
|
|
And from bad/evil/harm (of) an envious with jealousy, when/if he envied with jealousy.
|
|
|
|
Wamin sharrihasidin ithahasada
|
