By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit);
|
|
(Angels) dispatched in succession.
|
|
سورة المرسلات بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ والمرسلات عرفا
|
|
And/by the messengers/sent/angles (F), successively/sand dunes/elevated points.
|

|
2. * |
Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts,
|
|
To drive the wind.
|
|
فالعاصفات عصفا
|
|
So the stormy/turbulent winds, violently/turbulently.
|
|
|
|
FaalAAasifati AAasfan
|
|
3. * |
And scatter (things) far and wide;
|
|
Stir up clouds.
|
|
والناشرات نشرا
|
|
And/by the spreading/extending/winds (for clouds), spreading out/extending.
|
|
|
|
Waalnnashirati nashran
|
|
4. * |
Then separate them, one from another,
|
|
Distribute the provisions.
|
|
فالفارقات فرقا
|
|
So the separated clouds/separators of right and wrong, separating.
|
|
|
|
Faalfariqati farqan
|
|
5. * |
Then spread abroad a Message,
|
|
Deliver messages.
|
|
فالملقيات ذكرا
|
|
So the throwing/throwing away a reminder/remembrance (delivering messages).
|
|
|
|
Faalmulqiyatithikran
|
|
6. * |
Whether of Justification or of Warning;-
|
|
Good news, as well as warnings.
|
|
عذرا او نذرا
|
|
An excuse/fault or sins or (a) warning/notice.
|
|
|
|
AAuthran aw nuthran
|
|
7. * |
Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass.
|
|
What is promised will come to pass.
|
|
انما توعدون لواقع
|
|
That truly what you are being promised (is) happening (E).
|
|
|
|
InnamatooAAadoona lawaqiAAun
|
|
8. * |
Then when the stars become dim;
|
|
Thus, when the stars are put out.
|
|
فاذا النجوم طمست
|
|
So when/if the stars/planets were eliminated/effaced.
|
|
|
|
Fa-ithaalnnujoomutumisat
|
|
9. * |
When the heaven is cleft asunder;
|
|
The sky is opened up
|
|
واذا السماء فرجت
|
|
And when/if the sky/space opened/split open.
|
|
|
|
Wa-ithaalssamao furijat
|
|
10. * |
When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust;
|
|
The mountains are blown up.
|
|
واذا الجبال نسفت
|
|
And when/if the mountains were uprooted and dispersed/exploded.
|
|
|
|
Wa-ithaaljibalu nusifat
|
|
11. * |
And when the apostles are (all) appointed a time (to collect);-
|
|
The messengers are summoned.
|
|
واذا الرسل اقتت
|
|
And when/if the messengers were appointed a time.
|
|
|
|
Wa-ithaalrrusulu oqqitat
|
|
12. * |
For what Day are these (portents) deferred?
|
|
That is the appointed day.
|
|
لاي يوم اجلت
|
|
To which day/time it was delayed.
|
|
|
|
Li-ayyi yawmin ojjilat
|
|
13. * |
For the Day of Sorting out.
|
|
The Day of Decision.
|
|
ليوم الفصل
|
|
To the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day.
|
|
|
|
Liyawmi alfasli
|
|
14. * |
And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out?
|
|
What a Day of Decision!
|
|
وماادراك مايوم الفصل
|
|
And what makes you know what the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day (is)?
|
|
|
|
Wamaadraka mayawmu alfasli
|
|
15. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
16. * |
Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)?
|
|
Did we not annihilate the earlier generations?
|
|
الم نهلك الاولين
|
|
Did We not destroy the first/beginners?
|
|
|
|
Alam nuhliki al-awwaleena
|
|
17. * |
So shall We make later (generations) follow them.
|
|
Then we made others follow them?
|
|
ثم نتبعهم الاخرين
|
|
Then We make them followed (by) the lasts/others.
|
|
|
|
Thumma nutbiAAuhumu al-akhireena
|
|
18. * |
Thus do We deal with men of sin.
|
|
This is what we do to the criminals.
|
|
كذلك نفعل بالمجرمين
|
|
As/like that We make/do with the criminals/sinners.
|
|
|
|
Kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena
|
|
19. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
20. * |
Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?-
|
|
Did we not create you from a lowly liquid?
|
|
الم نخلقكم من ماء مهين
|
|
Did We not create you from despised/humiliated (discarded) water?
|
|
|
|
Alam nakhluqkum min ma-in maheenin
|
|
21. * |
The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed,
|
|
Then we placed it in a well-protected repository.
|
|
فجعلناه في قرار مكين
|
|
So We made/put it in a highly positioned/established settlement/affixation.
|
|
|
|
FajaAAalnahu fee qararin makeenin
|
|
22. * |
For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)?
|
|
For a specific period.
|
|
الى قدر معلوم
|
|
To a known predestiny/estimation.
|
|
|
|
Ilaqadarin maAAloomin
|
|
23. * |
For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things).
|
|
We measured it precisely. We are the best designers
|
|
فقدرنا فنعم القادرون
|
|
So We evaluated and measured precisely, so blessed/praised (are) the capable/able.
|
|
|
|
FaqadarnafaniAAma alqadiroona
|
|
24. * |
Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
25. * |
Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together.
|
|
Did we not make the earth an abode?
|
|
الم نجعل الارض كفاتا
|
|
Did We not make the earth/Planet Earth encompassing/containing internally and externally ?
|
|
|
|
Alam najAAali al-arda kifatan
|
|
26. * |
The living and the dead,
|
|
For the living and the dead?
|
|
احياء وامواتا
|
|
Alive and deads.
|
|
|
|
Ahyaan waamwatan
|
|
27. * |
And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)?
|
|
We placed on it high mountains, and provided you with fresh water to drink.
|
|
وجعلنا فيها رواسي شامخات واسقيناكم ماء فراتا
|
|
And We made/put in it anchors/mountains high/towering, and We gave you drink (from) very sweet/fresh water.
|
|
|
|
WajaAAalnafeeharawasiya shamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furatan
|
|
28. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
29. * |
(It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false!
|
|
Go to what you used to disbelieve in.
|
|
انطلقوا الى ماكنتم به تكذبون
|
|
Leave/go/set out to what you were with it lying/denying/falsifying.
|
|
|
|
Intaliqoo ilamakuntum bihi tukaththiboona
|
|
30. * |
"Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns,
|
|
Go to a shade of three different densities.
|
|
انطلقوا الى ظل ذي ثلاث شعب
|
|
Leave/go/set out to shade of three branches/three off shoots.
|
|
|
|
Intaliqoo ilathillinthee thalathi shuAAabin
|
|
31. * |
"(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze.
|
|
Yet, it provides neither coolness, nor protection from the heat.
|
|
لاظليل ولايغني من اللهب
|
|
Not shading and nor enriches/suffices (protects) from the flame of a smokeless fire.
|
|
|
|
Lathaleelin walayughnee mina allahabi
|
|
32. * |
"Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts,
|
|
It throws sparks as big as mansions.
|
|
انها ترمي بشرر كالقصر
|
|
That it truly throws with sparks as (big) as the castle/palace.
|
|
|
|
Innahatarmee bishararin kaalqasri
|
|
33. * |
"As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)."
|
|
As yellow as the color of camels.
|
|
كانه جمالة صفر
|
|
As though it (is) camels yellow.
|
|
|
|
Kaannahu jimalatunsufrun
|
|
34. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
35. * |
That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak.
|
|
That is the day they do not speak
|
|
هذا يوم لاينطقون
|
|
That (is) a day/time they do not speak.
|
|
|
|
Hathayawmu layantiqoona
|
|
36. * |
Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas.
|
|
Nor are they given permission to apologize.
|
|
ولايؤذن لهم فيعتذرون
|
|
And nor (it) be permitted/allowed for them so (that) they apologize/excuse themselves.
|
|
|
|
Walayu\thanu lahum fayaAAtathiroona
|
|
37. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
38. * |
That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)!
|
|
This is the Day of Decision. We have summoned you and the previous generations.
|
|
هذا يوم الفصل جمعناكم والاولين
|
|
That (is) the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day We gathered/collected you and the first/beginners.
|
|
|
|
Hathayawmu alfasli jamaAAnakum waal-awwaleena
|
|
39. * |
Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me!
|
|
If you have any schemes, go ahead and scheme.
|
|
فان كان لكم كيد فكيدون
|
|
So if (there) was for you (a) plot/conspiracy, so plot/conspire against Me.
|
|
|
|
Fa-in kana lakum kaydun fakeedooni
|
|
40. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
41. * |
As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).
|
|
The righteous will enjoy shade and springs.
|
|
ان المتقين في ظلال وعيون
|
|
That truly the fearing and obeying (are) in shades and water springs/wells.
|
|
|
|
Inna almuttaqeena feethilalin waAAuyoonin
|
|
42. * |
And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire.
|
|
And fruits that they desire.
|
|
وفواكه مما يشتهون
|
|
And fruits from what they desire/crave.
|
|
|
|
Wafawakiha mimmayashtahoona
|
|
43. * |
"Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness).
|
|
Eat and drink happily in return for your works.
|
|
كلوا واشربوا هنيئا بما كنتم تعملون
|
|
Eat and drink pleasurable/wholesome because (of) what you were making/doing.
|
|
|
|
Kuloo waishraboo hanee-an bimakuntum taAAmaloona
|
|
44. * |
Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good.
|
|
We thus reward the virtuous.
|
|
انا كذلك نجزي المحسنين
|
|
That truly like that We reimburse the good doers.
|
|
|
|
Innakathalika najzee almuhsineena
|
|
45. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
46. * |
(O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners.
|
|
Eat and enjoy temporarily; you are guilty.
|
|
كلوا وتمتعوا قليلا انكم مجرمون
|
|
Eat and enjoy little that you truly are criminals/sinners.
|
|
|
|
Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoona
|
|
47. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
48. * |
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so.
|
|
When they are told, "Bow down," they do not bow down.
|
|
واذا قيل لهم اركعوا لايركعون
|
|
And when/if (it) was said to them: "Bow." They do not bow.
|
|
|
|
Wa-ithaqeela lahumu irkaAAoo layarkaAAoona
|
|
49. * |
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
|
|
Woe on that day to the rejectors.
|
|
ويل يومئذ للمكذبين
|
|
Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers.
|
|
|
|
Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
|
|
50. * |
Then what Message, after that, will they believe in?
|
|
Which Hadith, other than this, do they uphold?
|
|
فباي حديث بعده يؤمنون
|
|
So with which information/speech after it (do) they believe (in it)?452
|
|
|
|
