| 1. * | A. L. R. These are the Ayats of Revelation,- of a Qur'an that makes things clear. | A.L.R. | 2. * | Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to Allah.s will) in Islam. | Certainly, those who disbelieved will wish they were submitters. | ربما يود الذين كفروا لو كانوا مسلمين | rbma ywd alXyn kfrwa lw kanwa mslmyn | |||
| 3. * | Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them). | Let them eat, enjoy, and remain blinded by wishful thinking; they will find out. | ذرهم ياكلوا ويتمتعوا ويلههم الامل فسوف يعلمون | Xrhm yaklwa wytmt`wa wylhhm alaml fswf y`lmwn | |||
| 4. * | Never did We destroy a population that had not a term decreed and assigned beforehand. | We never annihilated any community, except in accordance with a specific, predetermined time. | ومااهلكنا من قرية الا ولها كتاب معلوم | wmaahlkna mn qry+ ala wlha ktab m`lwm | |||
| 5. * | Neither can a people anticipate its term, nor delay it. | The end of any community can never be advanced, nor delayed. | ماتسبق من امة اجلها ومايستأخرون | matsbq mn am+ ajlha wmaystAKrwn | |||
| 6. * | They say: "O thou to whom the Message is being revealed! truly thou art mad (or possessed)! | They said, "O you who received this reminder, you are crazy. | وقالوا ياايها الذي نزل عليه الذكر انك لمجنون | wqalwa yaayha alXy nzl `lyh alXkr ank lmjnwn | |||
| 7. * | "Why bringest thou not angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth?" | "Why do you not bring down the angels, if you are truthful?" | لو ماتاتينا بالملائكة ان كنت من الصادقين | lw matatyna balmlaYk+ an knt mn alSadqyn | |||
| 8. * | We send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have! | We do not send down the angels except for specific functions. Otherwise, no one will be respited. | ماننزل الملائكة الا بالحق وماكانوا اذا منظرين | mannzl almlaYk+ ala balHq wmakanwa aXa mnZryn | |||
| 9. * | We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). | Absolutely, we have revealed the reminder, and, absolutely, we will preserve it. | انا نحن نزلنا الذكر وانا له لحافظون | ana nHn nzlna alXkr wana lh lHafZwn | |||
| 10. * | We did send apostles before thee amongst the religious sects of old: | We have sent (messengers) before you to the communities in the past. | ولقد ارسلنا من قبلك في شيع الاولين | wlqd arslna mn qblk fy $y` alawlyn | |||
| 11. * | But never came an apostle to them but they mocked him. | Every time a messenger went to them, they ridiculed him. | وماياتيهم من رسول الا كانوا به يستهزؤون | wmayatyhm mn rswl ala kanwa bh ysthzWwn | |||
| 12. * | Even so do we let it creep into the hearts of the sinners - | We thus control the minds of the guilty. | كذلك نسلكه في قلوب المجرمين | kXlk nslkh fy qlwb almjrmyn | |||
| 13. * | That they should not believe in the (Message); but the ways of the ancients have passed away. | Consequently, they cannot believe in him. This has been the system since the past generations. | لايؤمنون به وقد خلت سنة الاولين | layWmnwn bh wqd Klt sn+ alawlyn | |||
| 14. * | Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein, | Even if we opened for them a gate into the sky, through which they climb; | ولو فتحنا عليهم بابا من السماء فظلوا فيه يعرجون | wlw ftHna `lyhm baba mn alsma' fZlwa fyh y`rjwn | |||
| 15. * | They would only say: "Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery." | they will say, "Our eyes have been deceived. We have been bewitched." | لقالوا انما سكرت ابصارنا بل نحن قوم مسحورون | lqalwa anma skrt abSarna bl nHn qwm msHwrwn | |||
| 16. * | It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders; | We placed galaxies in the sky, and adorned it for the beholders. | ولقد جعلنا في السماء بروجا وزيناها للناظرين | wlqd j`lna fy alsma' brwja wzynaha llnaZryn | |||
| 17. * | And (moreover) We have guarded them from every evil spirit accursed: | And we guarded it against every rejected devil. | وحفظناها من كل شيطان رجيم | wHfZnaha mn kl $yTan rjym | |||
| 18. * | But any that gains a hearing by stealth, is pursued by a flaming fire, bright (to see). | If any of them sneaks around to listen, a mighty projectile will chase him back. | الا من استرق السمع فاتبعه شهاب مبين | ala mn astrq alsm` fatb`h $hab mbyn | |||
| 19. * | And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. | As for the earth, we constructed it, and placed on it stabilizers (mountains), and we grew on it a perfect balance of everything. | والارض مددناها والقينا فيها رواسي وانبتنا فيها من كل شئ موزون | walarD mddnaha walqyna fyha rwasy wanbtna fyha mn kl $Y mwzwn | |||
| 20. * | And We have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible. | We made it habitable for you, and for creatures you do not provide for. | وجعلنا لكم فيها معايش ومن لستم له برازقين | wj`lna lkm fyha m`ay$ wmn lstm lh brazqyn | |||
| 21. * | And there is not a thing but its (sources and) treasures (inexhaustible) are with Us; but We only send down thereof in due and ascertainable measures. | There is nothing that we do not own infinite amounts thereof. But we send it down in precise measure. | وان من شئ الا عندنا خزائنه وماننزله الا بقدر معلوم | wan mn $Y ala `ndna KzaYnh wmannzlh ala bqdr m`lwm | |||
| 22. * | And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. | And we send the winds as pollinators, and cause water to come down from the sky for you to drink. Otherwise, you could not keep it palatable. | وارسلنا الرياح لواقح فانزلنا من السماء ماء فاسقيناكموه وماانتم له بخازنين | warslna alryaH lwaqH fanzlna mn alsma' ma' fasqynakmwh wmaantm lh bKaznyn | |||
| 23. * | And verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away). | It is we who control life and death, and we are the ultimate inheritors. | وانا لنحن نحيي ونميت ونحن الوارثون | wana lnHn nHyy wnmyt wnHn alwarxwn | |||
| 24. * | To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. | And we fully know those among you who advance, and we fully know those who regress. | ولقد علمنا المستقدمين منكم ولقد علمنا المستاخرين | wlqd `lmna almstqdmyn mnkm wlqd `lmna almstaKryn | |||
| 25. * | Assuredly it is thy Lord Who will gather them together: for He is perfect in Wisdom and Knowledge. | Your Lord will surely summon them. He is Most Wise, Omniscient. | وان ربك هو يحشرهم انه حكيم عليم | wan rbk hw yH$rhm anh Hkym `lym | |||
| 26. * | We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape; | We created the human being from aged mud, like the potter's clay. | ولقد خلقنا الانسان من صلصال من حمأ مسنون | wlqd Klqna alansan mn SlSal mn HmA msnwn | |||
| 27. * | And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind. | As for the jinns, we created them, before that, from blazing fire. | والجان خلقناه من قبل من نار السموم | waljan Klqnah mn qbl mn nar alsmwm | |||
| 28. * | Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; | Your Lord said to the angels, "I am creating a human being from aged mud, like the potter's clay. | واذ قال ربك للملائكة اني خالق بشرا من صلصال من حمأ مسنون | waX qal rbk llmlaYk+ any Kalq b$ra mn SlSal mn HmA msnwn | |||
| 29. * | "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." | "Once I perfect him, and blow into him from My spirit, you shall fall prostrate before him." | فاذا سويته ونفخت فيه من روحي فقعوا له ساجدين | faXa swyth wnfKt fyh mn rwHy fq`wa lh sajdyn | |||
| 30. * | So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: | The angels fell prostrate; all of them, | فسجد الملائكة كلهم اجمعون | fsjd almlaYk+ klhm ajm`wn | |||
| 31. * | Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. | except Iblis (Satan). He refused to be with the prostrators. | الا ابليس ابى ان يكون مع الساجدين | ala ablys abi an ykwn m` alsajdyn | |||
| 32. * | ((Allah)) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" | He said, "O Iblis (Satan), why are you not with the prostrators?" | قال ياابليس مالك الا تكون مع الساجدين | qal yaablys malk ala tkwn m` alsajdyn | |||
| 33. * | (Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape." | He said, "I am not to prostrate before a human being, whom You created from aged mud, like the potter's clay." | قال لم اكن لاسجد لبشر خلقته من صلصال من حمأ مسنون | qal lm akn lasjd lb$r Klqth mn SlSal mn HmA msnwn | |||
| 34. * | ((Allah)) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. | He said, "Therefore, you must get out; you are banished. | قال فاخرج منها فانك رجيم | qal faKrj mnha fank rjym | |||
| 35. * | "And the curse shall be on thee till the day of Judgment." | "You have incurred My condemnation until the Day of Judgment." | وان عليك اللعنة الى يوم الدين | wan `lyk all`n+ ali ywm aldyn | |||
| 36. * | (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." | He said, "My Lord, respite me until the day they are resurrected." | قال رب فانظرني الى يوم يبعثون | qal rb fanZrny ali ywm yb`xwn | |||
| 37. * | ((Allah)) said: "Respite is granted thee | He said, "You are respited. | قال فانك من المنظرين | qal fank mn almnZryn | |||
| 38. * | "Till the Day of the Time appointed." | "Until the specified day and time." | الى يوم الوقت المعلوم | ali ywm alwqt alm`lwm | |||
| 39. * | (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- | He said, "My Lord, since You have willed that I go astray, I will surely entice them on earth; I will send them all astray. | قال رب بما اغويتني لازينن لهم في الارض ولاغوينهم اجمعين | qal rb bma aGwytny lazynn lhm fy alarD wlaGwynhm ajm`yn | |||
| 40. * | "Except Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." | "Except those among Your worshipers who are devoted absolutely to You alone." | الا عبادك منهم المخلصين | ala `badk mnhm almKlSyn | |||
| 41. * | ((Allah)) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. | He said, "This is a law that is inviolable. | قال هذا صراط علي مستقيم | qal hXa SraT `ly mstqym | |||
| 42. * | "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." | "You have no power over My servants. You only have power over the strayers who follow you. | ان عبادي ليس لك عليهم سلطان الا من اتبعك من الغاوين | an `bady lys lk `lyhm slTan ala mn atb`k mn alGawyn | |||
| 43. * | And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! | "And Hell awaits them all. | وان جهنم لموعدهم اجمعين | wan jhnm lmw`dhm ajm`yn | |||
| 44. * | To it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. | "It will have seven gates. Each gate will get a specific share of them." | لها سبعة ابواب لكل باب منهم جزء مقسوم | lha sb`+ abwab lkl bab mnhm jz' mqswm | |||
| 45. * | The righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear-flowing water). | As for the righteous, they will enjoy gardens and springs. | ان المتقين في جنات وعيون | an almtqyn fy jnat w`ywn | |||
| 46. * | (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." | Enter therein, peaceful and secure. | ادخلوها بسلام امنين | adKlwha bslam amnyn | |||
| 47. * | And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity). | We remove all jealousy from their hearts. Like one family, they will be on adjacent furnishings. | ونزعنا مافي صدورهم من غل اخوانا على سرر متقابلين | wnz`na mafy Sdwrhm mn Gl aKwana `li srr mtqablyn | |||
| 48. * | There no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave. | Never will they suffer any fatigue therein; never will they be evicted therefrom. | لايمسهم فيها نصب وماهم منها بمخرجين | laymshm fyha nSb wmahm mnha bmKrjyn | |||
| 49. * | Tell My servants that I am indeed the Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful; | Inform My servants that I am the Forgiver, Most Merciful. | نبئ عبادي اني انا الغفور الرحيم | nbY `bady any ana alGfwr alrHym | |||
| 50. * | And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty. | And that My retribution is the most painful retribution. | وان عذابي هو العذاب الاليم | wan `Xaby hw al`Xab alalym | |||
| 51. * | Tell them about the guests of Abraham. | Inform them about Abraham's guests. | ونبئهم عن ضيف ابراهيم | wnbYhm `n Dyf abrahym | |||
| 52. * | When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" | When they entered his quarters, they said, "Peace." He said, "We are apprehensive about you." | اذ دخلوا عليه فقالوا سلاما قال انامنكم وجلون | aX dKlwa `lyh fqalwa slama qal anamnkm wjlwn | |||
| 53. * | They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom." | They said, "Do not be apprehensive. We have good news for you: an enlightened son." | قالوا لاتوجل انا نبشرك بغلام عليم | qalwa latwjl ana nb$rk bGlam `lym | |||
| 54. * | He said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?" | He said, "How can you give me such good news, when I am so old? Do you still give me this good news?" | قال ابشرتموني على ان مسني الكبر فبم تبشرون | qal ab$rtmwny `li an msny alkbr fbm tb$rwn | |||
| 55. * | They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" | They said, "The good news we give you is true; do not despair." | قالوا بشرناك بالحق فلا تكن من القانطين | qalwa b$rnak balHq fla tkn mn alqanTyn | |||
| 56. * | He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?" | He said, "None despairs of his Lord's mercy, except the strayers." | قال ومن يقنط من رحمة ربه الا الضالون | qal wmn yqnT mn rHm+ rbh ala alDalwn | |||
| 57. * | Abraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of Allah.?" | He said, "What is your mission, O messengers?" | قال فما خطبكم ايها المرسلون | qal fma KTbkm ayha almrslwn | |||
| 58. * | They said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin, | They said, "We are being dispatched to guilty people. | قالوا انا ارسلنا الى قوم مجرمين | qalwa ana arslna ali qwm mjrmyn | |||
| 59. * | "Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All - | "As for Lot's family, we will save them all. | الا ال لوط انا لمنجوهم اجمعين | ala al lwT ana lmnjwhm ajm`yn | |||
| 60. * | "Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind." | "But not his wife; she is destined to be with the doomed." | الا امراته قدرنا انها لمن الغابرين | ala amrath qdrna anha lmn alGabryn | |||
| 61. * | At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut, | The messengers went to Lot's town. | فلما جاء ال لوط المرسلون | flma ja' al lwT almrslwn | |||
| 62. * | He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." | He said, "You are unknown people." | قال انكم قوم منكرون | qal ankm qwm mnkrwn | |||
| 63. * | They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt. | They said, "We bring to you what they have been doubting. | قالوا بل جئناك بماكانوا فيه يمترون | qalwa bl jYnak bmakanwa fyh ymtrwn | |||
| 64. * | "We have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth. | "We bring to you the truth; we are truthful. | واتيناك بالحق وانا لصادقون | watynak balHq wana lSadqwn | |||
| 65. * | "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." | "You shall take your family during the night. Stay behind them, and make sure that none of you looks back. Go straight as commanded." | فاسر باهلك بقطع من الليل واتبع ادبارهم ولايلتفت منكم احد وامضوا حيث تؤمرون | fasr bahlk bqT` mn allyl watb` adbarhm wlayltft mnkm aHd wamDwa Hyx tWmrwn | |||
| 66. * | And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. | We delivered to him this command: those people are to be annihilated in the morning. | وقضينا اليه ذلك الامر ان دابر هؤلاء مقطوع مصبحين | wqDyna alyh Xlk alamr an dabr hWla' mqTw` mSbHyn | |||
| 67. * | The inhabitants of the city came in (mad) joy (at news of the young men). | The people of the city came joyfully. | وجاء اهل المدينة يستبشرون | wja' ahl almdyn+ ystb$rwn | |||
| 68. * | Lut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not: | He said, "These are my guests; do not embarrass me. | قال ان هؤلاء ضيفي فلا تفضحون | qal an hWla' Dyfy fla tfDHwn | |||
| 69. * | "But fear Allah, and shame me not." | "Fear GOD, and do not shame me." | واتقوا الله ولاتخزون | watqwa allh wlatKzwn | |||
| 70. * | They said: "Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry?" | They said, "Did we not enjoin you from contacting anyone?" | قالوا اولم ننهك عن العالمين | qalwa awlm nnhk `n al`almyn | |||
| 71. * | He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." | He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must." | قال هؤلاء بناتي ان كنتم فاعلين | qal hWla' bnaty an kntm fa`lyn | |||
| 72. * | Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro. | But, alas, they were totally blinded by their lust. | لعمرك انهم لفي سكرتهم يعمهون | l`mrk anhm lfy skrthm y`mhwn | |||
| 73. * | But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, | Consequently, the disaster struck them in the morning. | فاخذتهم الصيحة مشرقين | faKXthm alSyH+ m$rqyn | |||
| 74. * | And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. | We turned it upside down, and showered them with devastating rocks. | فجعلنا عاليها سافلها وامطرنا عليهم حجارة من سجيل | fj`lna `alyha saflha wamTrna `lyhm Hjar+ mn sjyl | |||
| 75. * | Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand. | This is a lesson for those who possess intelligence. | ان في ذلك لايات للمتوسمين | an fy Xlk layat llmtwsmyn | |||
| 76. * | And the (cities were) right on the high-road. | This will always be the system. | وانها لسبيل مقيم | wanha lsbyl mqym | |||
| 77. * | Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. | This is a sign for the believers. | ان في ذلك لاية للمؤمنين | an fy Xlk lay+ llmWmnyn | |||
| 78. * | And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; | The people of the woods also were transgressors. | وان كان اصحاب الايكة لظالمين | wan kan aSHab alayk+ lZalmyn | |||
| 79. * | So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. | Consequently, we avenged from them, and both communities are fully documented. | فانتقمنا منهم وانهما لبامام مبين | fantqmna mnhm wanhma lbamam mbyn | |||
| 80. * | The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the apostles: | The people of Al-Hijr disbelieved the messengers. | ولقد كذب اصحاب الحجر المرسلين | wlqd kXb aSHab alHjr almrslyn | |||
| 81. * | We sent them Our Sings, but they persisted in turning away from them. | We gave them our revelations, but they disregarded them. | واتيناهم اياتنا فكانوا عنها معرضين | watynahm ayatna fkanwa `nha m`rDyn | |||
| 82. * | Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. | They used to carve secure homes out of the mountains. | وكانوا ينحتون من الجبال بيوتا امنين | wkanwa ynHtwn mn aljbal bywta amnyn | |||
| 83. * | But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, | The disaster hit them in the morning. | فاخذتهم الصيحة مصبحين | faKXthm alSyH+ mSbHyn | |||
| 84. * | And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! | What they hoarded did not help them. | فما اغنى عنهم ما كانوا يكسبون | fma aGni `nhm ma kanwa yksbwn | |||
| 85. * | We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. | We did not create the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, except for a specific purpose. The end of the world will come, so treat them with benign neglect. | وماخلقنا السماوات والارض ومابينهما الا بالحق وان الساعة لاتية فاصفح الصفح الجميل | wmaKlqna alsmawat walarD wmabynhma ala balHq wan alsa`+ laty+ faSfH alSfH aljmyl | |||
| 86. * | For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. | Your Lord is the Creator, the Omniscient. | ان ربك هو الخلاق العليم | an rbk hw alKlaq al`lym | |||
| 87. * | And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. | We have given you the seven pairs, and the great Quran. | ولقد اتيناك سبعا من المثاني والقران العظيم | wlqd atynak sb`a mn almxany walqran al`Zym | |||
| 88. * | Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. | Do not be jealous of what we bestowed upon the other (messengers), and do not be saddened (by the disbelievers), and lower your wing for the believers. | لاتمدن عينيك الى مامتعنا به ازواجا منهم ولاتحزن عليهم واخفض جناحك للمؤمنين | latmdn `ynyk ali mamt`na bh azwaja mnhm wlatHzn `lyhm waKfD jnaHk llmWmnyn | |||
| 89. * | And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- | And proclaim: "I am the manifest warner." | وقل اني انا النذير المبين | wql any ana alnXyr almbyn | |||
| 90. * | (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- | We will deal with the dividers. | كما انزلنا على المقتسمين | kma anzlna `li almqtsmyn | |||
| 91. * | (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). | They accept the Quran only partially. | الذين جعلوا القران عضين | alXyn j`lwa alqran `Dyn | |||
| 92. * | Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, | By your Lord, we will question them all, | فوربك لنسألنهم اجمعين | fwrbk lnsAlnhm ajm`yn | |||
| 93. * | For all their deeds. | about everything they have done. | عما كانوا يعملون | `ma kanwa y`mlwn | |||
| 94. * | Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. | Therefore, carry out the orders given to you, and disregard the idol worshipers. | فاصدع بماتؤمر واعرض عن المشركين | faSd` bmatWmr wa`rD `n alm$rkyn | |||
| 95. * | For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- | We will spare you the mockers, | انا كفيناك المستهزئين | ana kfynak almsthzYyn | |||
| 96. * | Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. | who set up another god beside GOD. They will surely find out. | الذين يجعلون مع الله الها اخر فسوف يعلمون | alXyn yj`lwn m` allh alha aKr fswf y`lmwn | |||
| 97. * | We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. | We know full well that you may be annoyed by their utterances. | ولقد نعلم انك يضيق صدرك بما يقولون | wlqd n`lm ank yDyq Sdrk bma yqwlwn | |||
| 98. * | But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. | You shall sing the praises of your Lord, and be with the prostrators. | فسبح بحمد ربك وكن من الساجدين | fsbH bHmd rbk wkn mn alsajdyn | |||
| 99. * | And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. | And worship your Lord, in order to attain certainty. | واعبد ربك حتى ياتيك اليقين | wa`bd rbk Hti yatyk alyqyn | |||
