Has there not been over Man a long period of Time, when he was nothing - (not even) mentioned?
|
|
Is it not a fact that there was a time when the human being was nothing to be mentioned?
|
|
Did (it) come on the human/mankind (a) period of time from the long time he was not a mentioned/remembered thing?
|

2. * |
Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight.
|
|
We created the human from a liquid mixture, from two parents, in order to test him. Thus, we made him a hearer and a seer.
|
|
That We, We created the human/mankind from a drop/male's or female's secretion mixtures (of secretions), We test him, so We made/created him hearing/listening, seeing/knowing.
|

|
3. * |
We showed him the Way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (rests on his will).
|
|
We showed him the two paths, then he is either appreciative, or unappreciative.
|
|
That We, We guided him the way/path, either (he is) thankful/grateful and either (an insistent) disbeliever.
|
|

|
|
4. * |
For the Rejecters we have prepared chains, yokes, and a blazing Fire.
|
|
We prepared for the disbelievers chains, shackles, and a blazing Hell.
|
|
That We prepared/made ready for the disbelievers chains/successions, and leather or iron collars or handcuffs and blazing/inflaming (punishment).
|

|
|
5. * |
As to the Righteous, they shall drink of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Kafur,-
|
|
As for the virtuous, they will drink from cups spiced with nectar.
|
|
That truly the righteous/charitable drink from a cup its mixture/blend was camphor.
|
|

|
6. * |
A Fountain where the Devotees of Allah do drink, making it flow in unstinted abundance.
|
|
A spring that is reserved for GOD's servants; it will gush out as they will.
|
|
A water well/spring God's worshippers/slaves drink by it, they cause it to flow bursting/flowing.
|
|

|
7. * |
They perform (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil flies far and wide.
|
|
They fulfill their pledges, and reverence a day that is extremely difficult.
|
|
They fulfill/complete with the vow/duty (on oneself), and they fear a day/time its evil/harm was spread and scattered.
|
|
ywfwn balnXr wyKafwn ywma kan $rh mstTyra
|
|
8. * |
And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive,-
|
|
They donate their favorite food to the poor, the orphan, and the captive.
|
|
And they feed the food on (inspite of) its love/like (to it to) a poorest of poor/poor oppressed and an orphan,and a captive/prisoner.
|
|

|
9. * |
(Saying),"We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks.
|
|
"We feed you for the sake of GOD; we expect no reward from you, nor thanks.
|
|
(They say): "Truly we feed you for God's sake, we do not want from you a reward/reimbursement,and nor thankfulness/gratefulness.
|
|

|
|
10. * |
"We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord."
|
|
"We fear from our Lord a day that is full of misery and trouble."
|
|
We (E), fear from our Lord a severe (gloomy) difficult/evil day/time."
|
|
ana nKaf mn rbna ywma `bwsa qmTryra
|
|
11. * |
But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy.
|
|
Consequently, GOD protects them from the evils of that day, and rewards them with joy and contentment.
|
|
So God protected/preserved them (from) that the day's/time's bad/evil/harm, and He made them meet/find beauty and goodness and delight/happiness.
|
|

|
|
12. * |
And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk.
|
|
He rewards them for their steadfastness with Paradise, and silk.
|
|
And He rewarded/reimbursed them because (of) what they were patient (by) treed gardens/paradises and silk.
|
|
wjzahm bma Sbrwa jn+ wHryra
|
|
13. * |
Reclining in the (Garden) on raised thrones, they will see there neither the sun's (excessive heat) nor (the moon's) excessive cold.
|
|
They relax therein on luxurious furnishings. They suffer neither the heat of the sun, nor any cold.
|
|
Resting/reclining in it on the luxurious beds/couches, they do not see in it sun and nor severe cold/anger.
|
|

|
|
14. * |
And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility.
|
|
The shade covers them therein, and the fruits are brought within reach.
|
|
And its shades/shadows (are) near on them, and its fruit harvests was manipulated/dangled low dangling/manipulating.
|
|

|
|
15. * |
And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,-
|
|
They are served drinks in silver containers and cups that are translucent.
|
|
And (they are) being circled around on them with drinking cups from silver and cups (that) were/are clear glass/mirrors.
|
|
wyTaf `lyhm bany+ mn fD+ wakwab kant qwaryra
|
|
16. * |
Crystal-clear, made of silver: they will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes).
|
|
Translucent cups, though made of silver; they rightly deserved all this.
|
|
Clear glass/mirrors from silver, they predestined/evaluated it predestination/evaluation.
|
|

|
|
17. * |
And they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Zanjabil,-
|
|
They enjoy drinks of delicious flavors.
|
|
And they be given drink in it (in) a cup its mixture/blend was ginger/wine.
|
|
wysqwn fyha kasa kan mzajha znjbyla
|
|
18. * |
A fountain there, called Salsabil.
|
|
From a spring therein known as "Salsabeel."
|
|
A water spring/well in it, it is named Salsbeelan/fresh, smooth and pleasant water fountain.
|
|
`yna fyha tsmi slsbyla
|
|
19. * |
And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls.
|
|
Serving them will be immortal servants. When you see them, they will look like scattered pearls.
|
|
And immortal/eternal children/new borns circle/walk around them, if you saw/understood them you thought/supposed them (that) they (are) scattered/sprinkled pearls.
|
|

|
|
20. * |
And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent.
|
|
Wherever you look, you will see bliss, and a wonderful dominion.
|
|
And if you saw/understood, then you saw/understood comfort and ease/blessing and a great ownership/kingdom.
|
|

|
|
21. * |
Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy.
|
|
On them will be clothes of green velvet, satin, and silver ornaments. Their Lord will provide them with pure drinks.
|
|
Their tops (covers them) clothes/garments (from) green sarcenet (certain type of silk or brocade) and brocade (silk and gold fabric), and they were bejeweled/ornamented (with) bracelets from silver, and their Lord gave/made them drink a pure/clear drink.
|
|

|
|
22. * |
"Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavour is accepted and recognised."
|
|
This is the reward that awaits you, for your efforts have been appreciated.
|
|
That truly that was for you a reward/reimbursement, and your striving/endeavor was/is thanked.
|
|

|
23. * |
It is We Who have sent down the Qur'an to thee by stages.
|
|
We have revealed to you this Quran; a special revelation from us.
|
|
That We, We descended on you the Koran descent.
|
|
ana nHn nzlna `lyk alqran tnzyla
|
|
24. * |
Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them.
|
|
You shall steadfastly carry out your Lord's commandments, and do not obey any sinful disbeliever among them.
|
|
So be patient for your Lord's judgment/rule, and do not obey a sinner/criminal (insistent) disbeliever from them.
|
|

|
|
25. * |
And celebrate the name or thy Lord morning and evening,
|
|
And commemorate the name of your Lord day and night.
|
|
And remember/mention your Lord (at) daybreaks/early mornings and (at) evening to sunset.
|
|
waXkr asm rbk bkr+ waSyla
|
|
26. * |
And part of the night, prostrate thyself to Him; and glorify Him a long night through.
|
|
During the night, fall prostrate before Him, and glorify Him many a long night.
|
|
And from the night, so prostrate to Him, and praise/glorify Him at night/nightly long.
|
|

|
|
27. * |
As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard.
|
|
These people are preoccupied with this fleeting life, while disregarding - just ahead of them - a heavy day.
|
|
That truly those love/like the worldly life/present, and they leave behind them a heavy day/time.
|
|

|
|
28. * |
It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change.
|
|
We created them, and established them, and, whenever we will, we can substitute others in their place.
|
|
We, We created them and We strengthened/supported their bone structure/ties and joints/(strengths), and if We willed/wanted/intended We exchanged/replaced their equivalent (by) an exchange/replacement.
|
|
nHn Klqnahm w$ddna asrhm waXa $Yna bdlna amxalhm tbdyla
|
|
29. * |
This is an admonition: Whosoever will, let him take a (straight) Path to his Lord.
|
|
This is a reminder: whoever wills shall choose the path to his Lord.
|
|
That truly this (is) a reminder, so who wanted took/received a way/path to his Lord.
|
|
an hXh tXkr+ fmn $a' atKX ali rbh sbyla
|
|
30. * |
But ye will not, except as Allah wills; for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.
|
|
Whatever you will is in accordance with GOD's will. GOD is Omniscient, Wise.
|
|
And you do not will/want except that (E) God wills/wants/intends, that truly God was/is knowledgeable, wise/judicious.
|
|
wmat$aWwn ala an y$a' allh an allh kan `lyma Hkyma
|
|
31. * |
He will admit to His Mercy whom He will; But the wrong-doers,- for them has He prepared a grievous Penalty.
|
|
He admits whomever He wills into His mercy. As for the transgressors, He has prepared for them a painful retribution.
|
|
He enters whom He wills/wants in His mercy, and the unjust/oppressive, He prepared for them a painful torture.450
|
|
