יהללו שמו במחול בתף וכנור יזמרו־לו׃ |
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. | Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp! | Let them give praise to his name in the dance: let them make melody to him with instruments of brass and corded instruments of music. | |||

כי־רוצה יהוה בעמו יפאר ענוים בישועה׃ |

יעלזו חסידים בכבוד ירננו על־משכבותם׃ |
Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. | Let the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds. | Let the saints have joy and glory: let them give cries of joy on their beds. | |||

לעשות נקמה בגוים תוכחת בל־אמים׃ |
To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; | To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; | To give the nations the reward of their sins, and the peoples their punishment; | |||

לאסר מלכיהם בזקים ונכבדיהם בכבלי ברזל׃ |
To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; | To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; | To put their kings in chains, and their rulers in bands of iron; | |||

לעשות בהם משפט כתוב הדר הוא לכל־חסידיו הללו־יה׃ |
To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD. | to execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor.
